National Pizza Day so of course had to order. Wanted thin crust and also needed a gluten free crust The two pizzas arrived hot, perfect condition and were delicious. In a town with a lot of options we were thrilled to find this again. Great old fashion tavern pizza. And the gluten free crust was one of the best we have had in the city. The Pizza is really good, especially the thin crust. They definitely have logistics issues with delivery. Ordered from Grubhub twice, first time order was 45 min late, second time they just gave me the wrong pizza (i got a refund for the extra ingredients I didn't get). The service we received while ordering was unique, personable and easy. 5 stars isn't enough for this place. We came after 10pm on a Thursday night under the belief that the restaurant was open until 11pm. The restaurant closed at 10pm, however, Adam, still seated us, took our order and said they would stay open to accommodate us. I couldn't have asked for a better experience as a first timer here. A bit small for 2-3 as they describe, but probably okay for two with appetizers or dessert. Flavors all worked together perfectly. While I wouldn't like the crust on its own, it complemented the rest of the ingredients very well. The sauce was simple and not too tangy, just right for me. Also ordered a side mixed greens salad. Again, very simple -- just mixed greens and and a little sprinkling of cheese plus balsamic vinaigrette. Hearty portion size. For dessert, cannoli. This can be hit or miss for me. Yet again, the simplicity helped Nancy's nail it. The shell was crunchy, the inside was smooth and sweet, and I appreciated them leaving it plain without the pistachios that sometimes overpower other cannolis. The owner is very attentive and completely down to earth, good family man. With that said Nancy's is a complete family venture, I totally support that. Man, this is good pizza. We ordered a sausage and mushroom stuffed pizza, a small took about 25 minutes. Service was great, although it was 4p on a Tuesday so the place was fairly empty. The sauce on the stuffed is light, not sweet, like slightly salted crushed tomato. Cheese was delicious, sausage was perfect, and the crust was light and crisp but held held up the cheese and stayed crisp under all that weight. [ October, 2019 ] Got a pizza from Nancy's on opening day. Good pizza delivered within the time window promised. The pizza was a bit of a mess with the crust on one side falling off the pizza. Alas, it was good...but first impressions..... We also ordered a mixed green salad which was a bland mix of greens that half-filled the container. For $7.80, and with strong competition from other famous pizza joints in the area, Nancy's should really step up their game to ensure salads are more interesting (or at least get a smaller container so I don't feel like I'm overpaying for a half-empty container). I was walking home from a pizza dinner on the night of my birthday, when my boyfriend and I noticed a new "Nancy's Pizza" store around the corner from our apartment, which appeared to be under construction. As we stopped by in front of it to check it out and were chatting about it, two gentleman walked out of the store and offered us a pizza. He said they were opening about a week and making some pilot pizzas in preparation for launch. Of course we accepted the pizza and it turned out to be delicious!
