Inside The Jacquard Hotel in the heart of Cherry Creek, Narrative is offering exactly what its name implies: a place to spark conversation over thoughtful food and drink. Their new fall menu is a standout, with modern American dishes and globally inspired shareables that feel both elevated and approachable. We tried the shrimp cocktail, tartare trio, smashed burger, cookies and cream, key lime pie, and an espresso martini. Everything was well executed, but two dishes truly stayed with me. The cookies were unforgettable, perfectly crisp on the edges, gooey in the center, and finished with just the right amount of sea salt. The trio of tartare was also exceptional, and surprisingly, the tomato tartare ended up being one of my favorites for its freshness and depth of flavor. The space is elegant without being pretentious, and it is an excellent choice for a date night, special occasion, or simply a great dinner out. Narrative is absolutely worth the visit.

This isn't your average hotel restaurant! Narrative is located in the lobby of the Jacquard in Cherry Creek. The restaurant has a large bar area as well as a seating area in front of their "library" backdrop. The aesthetic is very modern and chic. Because of my Titanium status, we got free breakfast during our stays. We were able to choose from a variety of delicious items on the menu however, the omelet was my favorite. It was made with ham and boursin cheese melted in with thick cuts of avocado on top. I will say there was a little bit of inconsistency day to day in the food, but overall, it was always delicious! I was really impressed with the options, especially for what would be a complimentary meal! For lunch, I also ordered a chopped salad to go and it was SO GOOD. This is absolutely a must order.

You get sharp service at the Jacquard Hotel's Narrative. We sat at the bar, and Cami took care of us from the start. She's genuinely delightful and knows how to run a bar. You feel it right away in how she works and how she talks to you. We ordered from the happy-hour menu: * crispy pork belly * smoked carrot dip * double smashed patty burger Everything tasted solid and well executed. The drinks matched the food, balanced, clean, and worth ordering again. If you sit at the bar, ask for Cami. You'll get the kind of service that makes you want to come back.

The room was clean and open and full of light. It felt good to sit there. The drinks were strong and true, and the bartender smiled as he made them. The staff moved quick and spoke easy, and they made you feel at home. The lobster corn dogs came hot. The batter was crisp and the lobster was sweet inside. The jalapeño gave it fire. The honey gave it heat and sweetness both. You wanted another bite right after the first. The artichoke fritters were different. They were soft inside and sharp with the piquillo. The black garlic was deep and dark. The pepper purée had smoke. Together it was good food. Food that stayed with you. It was a place you could come back to. A place where the light, the drink, and the food all belonged.

We ended up eating lunch here because we were staying at The Jacquard and it was a lovely experience. We had a big group and we sat in an area that was right by the kitchen but it wasn't smelly like you can feel the grease and smoke in your hair. We all enjoyed our food quite a bit. Loved the mussels, crab cake and house milk bread! Burrata was ok, nothing special to warrant a $18 price tag so I would recommend to skip this. My chicken avocado salad was good but the chicken was a bit on the dry side. The burger was also good, can't go wrong with burger. The food was good, the servers were attentive. The decor reminded me of dining in a restaurant / bookstore where it felt fancy but not snooty.

Had a little pocket of me time so decided to pop in for a drink at the bar and an afternoon snack. It was slow so no issue with service. I can't locate their menu on their website, so unable to say what cocktail I ordered, but it was pink, summery, had gin, and tasted good . For my snack, I went with the lonster corn dogs and oh my yum!! Wasn't sure what to expect but I was curious and really happy with my decision. I all but licked the plate clean. Would absolutely order again.

Great Sunday morning brunch here with the girls. Vibe was a little upscale. Got a round table for the 5 of us (plus a stroller) which I love because it's so much easier to chat with a group at a round table. Started off with a yummy oat milk latte. Got a table sweet, the binets with pumpkin dipping sauce which was yummy and something a little different. Went with the breakfast tacos (without the chorizo) which were tasty and came with a nice little side salad. Overall we all enjoyed our meals.

We are staying at the hotel. We came down to eat at the restaurant. We had a server and I am sad I didn't get his name but this was around 7:30-8pm on Jan 1, 2026. Our waiter was perfection. He was quick on the drinks and when we moved to our table for dinner he was attentive and quick. We split the caesar and the short ribs and he brought them out on separate plates for each of us. Many restaurants don't do this and they should. We were so pleased he thought to give us two plates so we didn't have to split it ourselves. Additionally we had the tuna tartare which the waiter recommended. Everything was great but mainly the service. Thank you to the server who helped us. I wish we got the name!

The restaurant is nice and clean looking, but the strong smell of seafood and the prices won't have me coming back. $18 cocktail and the smallest at the table was not screaming to get a second one. The lobster corndog was not good at all. It was a lobster sausage with thick, dry corndog batter. The $19 avocado toast was just robbery. I've had better and cheaper elsewhere. Also check your bill, they tack on gratuity even if there is a baby with you.

The Narrative Restaurant at The Jacquard is a beautiful restaurant with a thoughtfully curated menu. Finding vegan options was a bit challenging--aside from a salad, there weren't many choices on the menu. However, the chef was very accommodating and prepared a special risotto with charred broccoli on top. It was exactly what I wanted, and I left very satisfied with my meal.

Pretty conflicted on how to rate this experience. The food was absolutely some of the best I've ever had in Denver, however the service was pretty awful. We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday. They were either short-staffed and/or they were hit with every table being sat at once. It took long enough to be greeted that my husband asked, "do we have a server?" When he finally came, our server was very brisk, all business, took our orders and immediately left.... Little eye contact, & no attempt to make a connection or rapport with us. I thought we had said or done something to upset him so when he did return I tried to be overly nice & polite, to no avail. We received our first round of drinks and then 5-10 minutes later placed our food order. I drank my glass of water right away and it was 1 hour and 20 minutes before anyone came back to our table, and that was only finally because I asked a busboy to send our server to us so we could order more drinks while we were still waiting on our food. It was another 5-10 minutes for our server to come take our 2nd round of drink orders after I asked for him to come. Still no water refill. 10 minutes later I had to ask someone to fill my water glass. When the food did finally arrive around 8:30/8:45pm it was absolutely incredible - so good that it almost made up for the terrible service. We ordered the Tuna Poke appetizer and the Bread Service to start. I can't imagine ever going here and not ordering the tuna again... it was a 10 out of 10, must-order dish. I should mention their Manhattan cocktail to start was the best Manhattan I've ever had. 10 out of 10. Hubby ordered an extra dirty martini and said it was fab. Daughter had the "Great Heights" mocktail and said it was delicious, resulting in a second order straight away. The bread (I think he called it milk bread?) was new to the menu and it was perfectly fluffy and delicious. 9 out of 10. Our party ordered the Scallops (10/10), Flat Iron Steak (8/10), Brick Chicken (10/10), and a Caesar Salad (6/10). 2 glasses of Jordan Chardonnay complemented the scallops and chicken well. The Salad was superfluous; I wish I hadn't ordered it in retrospect but I had read many reviews saying how amazing it was. For those wondering: It pales in comparison to Quality Italian's Little Gem Caesar in my opinion. For dessert we had the 10-yr Tawny Port (8/10) and the chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream; the latter was the absolute perfect ending to the meal (10/10). The cookies were fresh-baked with a sprinkling of salt to complement the chocolate. Delish! I should mention that at this point the restaurant had cleared out quite a bit, and our server did come deliver an unsolicited apology to us for the awful service, which we appreciated him acknowledging. All in all, it's a toss-up whether I'll return. Paying $400 for lack-luster service was a bit underwhelming. Or if I do return, perhaps it won't be when they're busy on a Friday or Saturday night.

I loved the ambiance of this restaurant located in the lobby of the Jacquard hotel. They had complimentary valet because we were dining on premise. The service was slow, we stood at the hostess stand for several minutes waiting for an actual host to seat us. Our waitress had to be flagged over to get more drinks etc. The beef tartare was probably my least favorite menu item. It was very mustard heavy and was more like a meat salad (think tuna salad but with meat and mustard) than a refreshing tartare. The pork shoulder however was out of this world. Overall when traveling back to Denver, I think I would try my luck with one of the many many other dining establishments.

This place was amazing.... From the wait staff, ambiance, food, and drinks! I ordered the shrimp and grits after being told that they were award winning, and they were absolutely delicious. My server was also very knowledgeable of the menu offerings which was very helpful. The location was also very convenient to hotels, other restaurants, and bars. read more

Went for a casual brunch and the food does not disappoint. However, service is absolutely terrible. That's why this place is a 2/5. First, let me explain the good. Impossible burger is 10/10 fantastic. Egg White Scramble is good, but a bit oily and very heavy on the stomach. The sweet hostess took the time to clear a table for us as we requested outside (no busser had cleared any tables and left them all dirty). Now, the BAD. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come to our table to bring plates and utensils. Then another 10 minutes for someone to take our order. We were forgotten about throughout the entirety of the meal. In addition, there was no communication between the staff as someone different each time came to the table to ask us the same questions about ordering/our meal/etc. All in all, would I come back again based on my overall experience of the food and service? No. It was that bad. I will only do take away from narrative. from now on. You've been warned. read more

Located in Jacquard hotel in North Cherry Creek, this is an icily elegant space that was nearly empty when we went for lunch. Despite austere appearance, greeter & servers were very friendly & welcoming. The foot was elegant, though $23 for a salad with a few shrimp may seem a bit much to most people. Still, given rising prices restaurants must pay for food are likely to be the norm for now. At least here, the food was very good & the ambiance pleasing. I'd go back. read more

This is a fantastic breakfast spot for a girls day. I came in with my friends after a barre class and ran into a bunch of other brunch ladies I knew. they have a back room perfect for a large group or birthday party. We sat near the bar and even though it's part of a hotel I didn't feel like we were in the lobby of one. Our food was delicious as well and we especially liked their take on avocado toast (the ARTICHOKE toast) so much we tried to recreate it at home. The pineapple mimosa is also a nice touch. Looking forward to trying dinner here to! read more

Went here for lunch and had a delicious goat cheese, dates and chicken salad. The lobby is spacious and light and happy. Service was good if not a touch slow. I will definitely go back and try the other items on the menu - all looked really interesting. read more

Happened to be in Denver this holiday unexpectedly and wasn't sure what we were going to do for Thanksgiving. What an amazing Thanksgiving offering at Narrative. The Pre-Fix Meal was phenomenal, and their Ala Carte offers were just as good. Not to mention their exceptional staff like Adrian and Ariena. Did not realize eating out on Thanksgiving was such a viable option not to mention the quality of the food. Highly suggest giving them a visit. Your loss if you don't. read more

I love this place. In fact, we are planning another trip because we loved this place and the Jacquard. The food is classic but with a modern touch. We snuck in multiple meals while staying at the Jacquard for just a 2 night stay. I highly recommend the blueberry crunch pancakes or cage free eggs for breakfast. For dinner try a chopped chicken salad or the burger. Save room. You must have a plate of chocolate chip cookies for dessert. read more

Very cool place! We went there last Sunday for brunch. We didn't realize we should have made reservations but we were able to snag a high top table. Service was good, not polished but the staff was fairly efficient. I got the Eggs Benedict and my husband ordered the raspberry French toast. I found no fault with mine and my husband liked his a lot! If we are in the area again we would return! read more

I'm a brunch-lover and was excited to try Narrative this past weekend. There were 3 in our party, the ambiance is clean and nice. The mimosas were OK, the food was above average (fried green tomatoes were fantastic!), but my friend's sandwich had a dead fly stuck to the outside! That made us all Leary to continue... but my shrimp & grits tasted so delicious I didn't want to stop. Half way through my meal I found a 2-3inch hair in my dish! (Face-palm). The manager was responsive & apologized, and he comped my meal & the fly sandwich. Overall, it just left us all thinking there are better and cleaner places to go in Denver. read more

Very inviting atmosphere. High ceilings, cool and clean appearance. The food was great too, I had the Mushroom Bolognese and my wife had the Salmon. A great spot to go for a special night if you don't want to break the bank, but also can break the bank if you're not careful. If you're into Wine it's got some fancy stuff. read more

The best meal we've had in Denver. Beets, tuna tartare, and artichoke toast presentation were beautiful. All were delicious but the artichoke toast stood out as a creative and amazing dish. Entrees did not disappoint either, fiancee had the kale salad which was delicious, I had the seared scallops which were done perfectly. Crispy Brussel sprouts are worth having as a side, not too saucy, flash fried, a little spicy, excellent. We were too full for dessert but hear that the cookies are the house specialty. Service was fantastic and attentive. We will definitely be back. read more

The food is pretty good, but the prices are very high. I love the patatas bravas and the scallops were very good. The chicken was just okay, not as much flavor as I hoped. For breakfast, I had three eggs benedict which was great and I'm happy that they have gluten free options. read more

I've been coming here for the last few years - I did love this place. Not anymore.... they double billed my credit card and I have called here twice. They promise to have a manager call me back and that never happens. I guess if their credit card was charged twice - duplicate charges - they might understand how I feel. If you pay by credit card - make sure to check your statement because it could happen to you too. read more

Went to check this place out during denver restaurant week. Overall the food was good. A nice modern twist of elegance in my opinion. I believe for two people on the Denver restaurant menu and three wines were under $200, not bad. Food did take a while to come out in the beginning but it did not disappoint. The only thing holding me from giving it 4 stars was the fact that we made reservations and they ended putting us in the back seat of the restaurant. Actually it didn't even look like a part of the restaurant and was connected to the hotel. It was like they forgot about us seating. Didn't enjoy hearing the hotel manager talking on the phone 24/7. read more

Visited during denver restaurant week, the meal was to die for! As a vegetarian I had tons of options and everything was so great. The artichoke toast is on the regular menu and was amazing, I'd go back for just that. The next course was a butternut curry soup I believe, I loved that too. Entree was a BBQ tofu bowl, yet another great dish. This is also on the regular menu I believe. It is so refreshing to visit a place that serves creative and delicious vegetarian dishes. My boyfriend also enjoyed all of his dishes. Cocktails were definitely on the pricey side but they were strong. I'm looking forward to visiting again. read more

The service here was so aweful. We sat for quite a while before finally asking someone where our server was. The person we asked looked like a manager and told us that she didn't know what was going on. She didn't really seem to care either. We were on the verge of leaving but she said she would take our drink order. We ordered a couple of drinks and an appetizer and still kept wondering where our server was. After being there for over 30 min some kid who looked stoned out of his mind and like he just rolled out of bed took the remainder of our order. Needless to say he received a poor tip for his poor service. The food was mediocre and very overpriced. The service and food quality is not what you would expect from a restaurant that charges high prices and presents itself as a higher end establishment. Will never go back. read more

I wish I took some photos of the food bc it was very delicious. The atmosphere is beautiful; I personally liked the bright lights along with the decor. The service was below my expectations. The buss staff was nice, although a little slow at clearing. What bothered me the most was we sat with empty drinks most of the night. Our server was SLOW. She also would see empty plates and leave them there for the bussers. She was nice enough but service is what keeps me coming back to a restaurant. Pretty disappointed I was really looking forward to coming back to this place. It's unacceptable every time you get asked if you need a cocktail yours has been waiting there empty for 10 minutes. Food took a long time as well. read more

Cool place. They messed up our parties steaks and the way they addressed it was just weird. Rather than taking the meat so they could properly prepare a new one they took the entire plate leaving three of the seven without any food. Then the new food came back out 35 mins later with everything. Meanwhile everyone else was done eating. The manager talked too much about it w too many excuses and was a bit of a hot mess. The server was awesome and was out in a situation where he had to do damage control. Slot of potential w vibe and recipes but it's going to have to be a very specific occasion. read more

So Im really disappointed with my experience here. When I walked in I loved the ambiance.. however, everything went downhill from there. The food was mediocre at best, it was not mind blowing as I hoped. However the most frustrating part was that that the manager had mistake our table with ordering wine and brought us glasses. When he realized he messed up, he then promised us with some wine samples because of his mistake but then failed to deliver what he promised. I don't expect any wine if you mess up but don't ask for my ID and what type of wine I like and then lie to your customers, especially if you expect this to be a higher end restaurant. The service was incredibly slow. We waited over 30 mins to even order our main entrees. And then waited at least another 30 mins when we asked for our check. I didn't even look at my itemized receipt and just gave my credit card because I knew it would be probably be another hour before I got my card back. This place is a joke when it comes to service. read more

I never do this. One of the worst, under whelming meals I have had in a long time. After waiting 35 minutes for our entree, my salmon dinner was smelly, under seasoned and minute. The side of rice seemed like an good use for yesterday's vegetables. Didn't send it back was too hungry to wait for a correction. Bummer. read more

Really nice room, lots of white and glass; classy. My date and I were sat at a table adjacent to the bar. There's just not enough separation for comfortable dinning. There was a young gentleman at the bar who had lots of friends and a young child that he literally thru up in air and swung her around for entertainment, but it was less than 6 feet from my table. Glad they were having fun but definitely impacted my concentration and enjoyment. Meal came and everything was sent back because it was all too salty. The crab cakes were not appealing at all. I did have a cocktail that was awesome! Bartenders definitely knows there business! read more

We were staying at the jacquard hotel and this restaurant was connected/underneath our room. We went there for happy hour and it was great! The wine I got was less than $6 for a glass! That is a very good deal for a fancy restaurant like this. We also got the guacamole and sausage flatbread. Great snacks to go with the drinks. If I am ever back in cherry creek, I will for sure be back for dinner and try out that menu! read more

When so many restaurants seem to be struggling with service and food prep, Narrative is making excellent food and delivering flawless service. We had shrimp & grits, lobster Mac n cheese, and the short rib. And lots of delicious cocktails. Everything was great, including ambiance. Will definitely go back soon. read more

Artichoke toast and chicken chopped salad were the stars of our meal. Service was great too. Nice big windows with natural light make for a nice meal. I was curious about other items on the menu but since we are tourists could only visit once. Nice portions for the price too. read more

We live down the street & were excited to visit a new place in our neighborhood. We visited Narrative a few days after they opened & I'm confident they will work through any issues especially with the help of customer feedback. Would have been a nice atmosphere had the lighting been appropriate - it was incredibly bright lighting. Having every light in the space on to the max combined with the all white everything created a very sterile atmosphere. I'd love to see warmer lighting & atmosphere. I also really would love to see them use different after glasses- These were uncomfortable to drink from but could make nice candle holders. The burrata dish was very good. *Review for drinks only.* It's very bright here which is why I am docking a star. I felt like I was sitting under fluorescent lighting in an office building. I know they are probably going for an LA-bright vibe or something but it's not my cup of tea. They have a really neat wallpaper going on - it looks like a big wall of books and is super cool - but it's just a wallpaper! Very cool. This is a very chic and sceney atmosphere. I really like their glassware also - I want to find their water glasses and have them in my home. The drinks were good - no complaints here. Didn't try the food, though I hear they have a solid brunch so I'd like to get over here for that in the near future. read more

Last night my dad and I checked out this place - it has fabulous atmosphere. We were helped by a nice bartender lady from Houston who was super friendly, efficient, and welcoming! Deviled eggs are killer. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the rest of our meal; the short rib, although tender and although the grits were good, was drenched in a barbecue sauce that honestly ruined the short rib. Similarly, the Caesar salad was ok except for drenched in dressing. The restaurant would be much better off with a dry rub or a little cup of barbecue sauce on the side, don't ruin such a beautiful cut of meat like that! Again, loved the deviled eggs. Unfortunately I have to give this place 3 Starr's while I feel it has the potential for five when we came last Friday we had a horrible experience we had a table of 10 and the service was horrible, whenever I needed a drink or ready to order food I had to wave down our sever she was very inattentive she never check on the guest for entrees food drinks unless we had asked I didn't even order my dinner because their service was so bad i drove all the way down from Fort Collins for nothing now what did come out of it was the lobsters dogs those were very good that was the only thing I was able to eat since our sever never came to take our orders for dinner a whole table of ten and we barely got appetizers and drinks some didn't even get that ! Really unfortunate for such a nice place. If it wasn't for the lobster rolls my review would be 2 stars and if it wasn't for the supervisor he was nice and understanding but other than that HORRIBLE service !!!! read more

We celebrated Christmas Eve at the narrative and it was the best dining experience we have had in Denver! The food is incredible and their wine selection is outstanding. The even have non-alcoholic wine options--highly recommend the rose Prosecco! We brought our two year old son and they were incredibly accommodating and we (and him) were very impressed with their kids menu and quality of food. We are excited to return next year! Been to this restaurant for both breakfast/brunch and lunch. The food and service were both amazing. Starting with the hostess, Eli, who made sure we were seated away from the doors, to avoid some cold air, and then continued to check on us and refill our waters, etc. To the manager who came over to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Totally disappointed in many aspects of this newly opened restaurant in Cherry Creek. We could barely get in the front door to the receptionist because they have placed a large table right at the entrance. They had no where to either hang or check your coats. Come on we live in Denver. Our waitress was very nice but was not properly educated about the menu. The spaghetti and meat balls were tasteless and they didn't have any bread to offer with the meal. The Bass I ordered was placed in a garbanzo bean tomato paste that so acidy it was uneatable. For $100 per person meal (with Drinks) I expect a great deal more. read more

Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. My brother and I both chose the premium tonkatsu red ramen and chose spiciness level 5 (a bit spicy for him, perfect for me). I added broccolini on top which they roasted perfectly. Jade brought it out in 20 minutes, piping hot and oh so delicious! So happy we chose to have lunch here today!

Confusion over who was waiting on our table. Sat waiting till we called someone over. Wouldn't have cared but then Entrees came with one wrong. Food was delicious but wait staff obviously disorganized and poorly managed. We were early on a Saturday nite- so they weren't overwhelmed, and we were a party of 4. Sad to see poor floor service management and staff screw up what is clearly high quality food and an interesting drink and wine menu- we enjoyed the Osso buco, shrimp and grits, and salads and thought their cocktails-a boulevardier and 'pear-amor' were creative.
