I am BESIDE MYSELF over how much I enjoyed the food from here. The laksa had a rich, shrimp flavored base with noodles that were the perfect texture. Got it with shrimp that were perfectly cooked and nicely portioned. Also had the chili crab buns. The dip was bright and seasoned beautifully. The buns were airy and crisped to an ideal golden brown. Cannot say how glad I am this place opened up so close to me. Lived in Singapore as a kid and miss those SE Asian flavors (especially during Covid when it's been harder to visit other areas of the city) so Singapore street food that is well-made like this really hits the spot. So far I've only had the Singapore noodles but they surpassed expectations, and I am very much looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Fantastic - tried the satay noodles lunch special with tofu and they hit the spot. Just enough spice in the satay sauce, generous amount of well seasoned and grilled tofu, eggs perfectly soft boiled, and noodles not overcooked with lots of crispy onions and sliced cucumbers. I am so happy this new Malaysian noodle spot opened up in this neighborhood, there is definitely nothing like this in the area and it is a welcomed addition. The noodle dishes are very savory, The peanut noodles are delicious! The Laksa noodles are pretty spot on authentic and the Chili Crab Buns are fluffy with this amazing crab sauce. For the noodles you can add tofu free of charge which is also nice. I can't wait to try the Chili Crab Pasta! Overall: 3.4/5 - While somewhat authentic, the menu is quite limited and did not live up to the hype it got from Infatuation. The food was not bad and I would go again if convenient. The person taking my order was fairly friendly and the store wasn't too hard to find - although it is a little hole-in-the-wall-esque. It was clean inside and had Singaporean decorations as well. Laksa: 4/5 - The sauce was quite authentic with a bit of kick and lots of flavor. The noodles were quite good as well and reminded me of the katong laksa in Singapore/Malaysia. However the toppings were sparse and the shrimp had little taste and tasted like it was frozen. Singaporean Noodle with chicken: 3/5 Fairly nondescript dish. Popcorn Chicken: 3.5/5 - The chicken itself is fairly forgettable - lacking any taste itself; however, the cereal that came with it tasted like the cereal from cereal prawns in Singapore/Malaysia. It was authentic and definitely saved the dish for me. Roti John: 4.5/5 - The roti John was the star of the show for me. It had great flavor, featured a sweet chili, and the meat and eggs were cooked perfectly inside. It was tasty, filling and hit the spot. Holy Laksa Batman! I've never had Singapore food before but OMG am I obsessed now. I was blown over by the amazing meld of flavors from the first bite to the last. Creamy Coconut milk base with curry flavors melt into your mouth with the perfectly cooked fat rice noodle and shrimp which they recommend and I wholeheartedly agree. Just the right amount ofs pice to open up your sinus but mild enough for those who don't usually like spice. I will drive from New Jersey just to eat those flavors again. Yum! read more

Sometimes it's really hard being a foodie. You have to take risks. Not only do you risk wasting your hard earned cash but more importantly you risk eating a terrible meal. Well today I took a chance and boy oh boy was it a mistake ! On the hunt to fill a foodie craving I decided to scan through the local yelp reviews for the area I was in(Washington Heights, NY). I stumbled upon what seemed as though it could be a hidden gem. It had great foodie potential; a hole in the wall with many positive reviews. I did some quick due diligence and decided to forge ahead. I proceeded to place an order for Satay Peanut noodles with pork and Satay Peanut noodles with chicken. Within a short time the food was in hand. What happened next was just devastating. The food was so bad that we gave one meal away to someone brave enough to try it. The better part of the other meal unfortunately ended up in the garbage. The noodles I will describe as oily, clumpy, and for lack of a better word gross. The chicken could be described as left on the counter overnight and then served to me the next afternoon. Ain't no Natives gonna eat these Noodles !! Don't walk RUN right past this one!!! Been coming here occasionally for a year or more, ever since the review in The New Yorker. The flavors are good, but the food is tired. The noodles too dry, the pork and chicken overcooked, dry and bland. My Singaporean foodie friend had a fit when she tried the food here. Clearly there is a good plan, but the execution is just tired. Been ordering delivery from here almost every week since I've moved into WaHi. The food is always super fresh and is very quick to be delivered. I've tried pretty much all of their entrees and you really can't go wrong with any of them, they're all so delicious, but if I had to choose my favorites it'd have to be the Laksa noodles with chicken and tofu or the Wonton noodles with chicken and/or pork. The portions are great. I feel like the portions on the appetizers are maybe a little small, but they're just so yummy it's hard to not want more. The popcorn chicken especially is a perfect blend of sweet and savory and is definitely something you should try. I would recommend this place over and over again. Wow- I can't believe this is only the first week Native Noodles has been open! It feels like they have been Well established for a while longer. Also very nice to have access to Singaporean cuisine uptown! The service was so fast, and the food blew me away. We ordered take out and the food was still warm ready to eat upon arriving home. The dumplings were rich, flavorful, and delightfully crispy. The popcorn chicken with cereal crunch was so yummy and creative! My husband ordered the Satay Peanut noodle dish and it was so well flavored, especially for someone who doesn't handle spice too well! I got the Chili Crab Pasta, which was so creamy, and had the perfect spice level for me; spicy enough to clear the sinuses, while still being able to taste the other delicious and nuanced flavors of the dish! It was relatively a small potion(we are used to a big portion in Uptown), but every ingredient seemed fresh and I loved that fact it was not so sweet like Thai noodles. Noodle itself felt a bit extra chewy and interesting. I liked the texture. It's a pick-up-and-go type of place, but there are several small tables and you can serve yourself a tap water to stay. I ordered the Satay Peanut Noodles Lunch with tofu added and the Mango Pudding from the LIC/Sunnyside location. Both were excellent; lots of perfectly cooked and sauced noodles, the cucumbers were sliced lengthwise and the egg was likewise perfectly cooked. The four pieces of tofu were fried crispy. The Mango Pudding had a strong mango flavor and was very creamy. (I forgot to take a pic of it.) However, I suggest that the Native Noodles folks consider adding an option to modify the spice level. I'm not that much for spicy food and was expecting a spice level more like Chinese Sesame Noodles, i.e., pretty mild. Anyway, I'm sure most others would find this spice level to be fine. After my third time trying this place I'm over believing the hype. This place is not that good at all. The noodles are very average and the flavor is subpar. I've tried the lhaksa, Singapore and the peanut. Chicken is fairly dry. The roti John sandwich honestly sucks, just some eggs and ground beef in a Hawaiian roll I could make at home better.
