This local spot is a favorite of mine. The food is always hot and tastes fresh, not sitting around or re-heated. They don't make Peking duck, but their wor-ton soup is so delicious. Another favorite is the Magnolian beef and low mein. If you're in the mood for authentic Chinese check it out. The lady at the front is always nice. Out of courtesy, I called to let them know so they could ensure the better parts of chicken are being used on our $90 order. Just came here tonight to pick up a call in order which I was told 20-25 minutes. Got here at the 25 minute mark but ends up being close to 40 minutes. They're consistent with underestimating their time and also takes just as ling if you dine in. Is it worth it??? Yes and no. The food is still good and portions are still plenty but i have found they had a price increase again which seems like every time (6 mos) I come here so their dishes have gone up at least $1-2 from the menu I posted not too long ago and the most recent one 8 months ago. Might be time to for me to find another place (not the one in Whittier Blvd though, this place is still miles ahead of that other famous restaurant). read more

The Chinese food here is Cantonese style and absolutely delicious. Try the Mongolian beef, salted cod fish with salt, house special fried rice and any f the noodles plates. The portions are extremely worth the fair cost and the quality is top notch. The owner Vivian is super sweet and takes time to chat with everyone if she has a chance. Had a craving for real Chinese food not ch food sitting all day underneath a heat lamp. So glad we stopped, not from the area but always remember it's worth the diversion from my way home. I would like to try this place to give an actual rating but the first sign you see on the door says "appointment required to dine in". No wonder the parking lot there was completely empty. When I grew up in the 1970's there was a place in San Gabriel on Valley Blvd called Nam's. Nam's closed about 25 years ago but this place reminds me of it. The price on the website is different than the actual price on the menu. The owner was in defense mode when I brought her attention that her website does not reflect the prices that she gave me and I also informed her that Los Angeles county health department had to report to she was given a B card in 2022 for roaches she became upset and argumentative.
