Hands down I really liked eating here. Plus, I forgot how affordable the buffet was, and even how good the food was. I really enjoyed the small selection, (it makes choosing a lot easier). A bonus was how friendly the peole were and how they wanted to make sure that you were happy with your meal. It seems at checkout they offer some delicious treats and gifts you can purchase. Holy yummy Batman! Went here for the lunch buffet and WOW! The egg rolls were great and I'm not usually a fan of sweet and sour chicken, but this was yummy! We also ordered dumplings off the menu and they we superb too. perfectly spiced + crunchy + chewy = me doing a happy food dance I didn't pay (is that why they chased after me?) but I'm pretty sure its inexpensive. One of my favorite places for Chinese food because they have a large variety of choices. They have a family dinner that to or more people can order and share. It comes with appetizers, soup, hot tea and one entree per person and rice. It is a great deal my daughter and I had it and chose mangolian beef and grand duke chicken. It was so good and enough left overs for two more meals. My husband and son had the Pho which they both love. A great place in Coon Rapids and they owners are so nice and friendly. read more

My family LOVES this place and we order take out a lot. We sometimes also eat in as well. I got wontons, fried rice, and pho. The wontons and fried rice are always delicious. The pho is a little bland and had a lot of a bitter green which made the broth taste bitter. You get a lot of food for really cheap and we are never really disappointed. We came on a really busy night and the lady who took our orders was extremely rude. We will come back in the future but that visit was extremely disappointing. read more

Went here after the farmers market and tried their beef pho. Of course we ordered some appetizers too, eggrolls and chicken wings. Not too fond of the eggrolls. The wings were good. I would have to say for a Cantonese restaurant who makes pho... this place is pretty good for a bowl of pho out in Coon Rapids. So if any of you who live in the area and don't want to drive out to the cities for a good bowl of pho, this place satisfies the craving!! read more

Bun bo kho in house is always delicious! Excellent job on drink refills whether it's soda or water. What happened to the Vietnamese egg rolls? They appeared to be shorter to my friend but I thought they looked thicker, either way still delicious. Remember to order banh mi to go, they are very generous with their fillings here! read more

you do get what you pay for. I can only speak to the buffet which seemed like all the dishes were out too long. sad place really needing a makeover & some pride of ownership. When it comes to pho, I'm very hesitant to try it outside of the twin cities. With so many staple restaurants around there that get it right time and time again it's hard to expand my horizons. Occasionally I'll try a place that has great yelp reviews only to be disappointed. Either they had something different than I, or they have no clue what pho is supposeded to taste like. I like to think I have my recipe down to a science but real pho takes hours to make properly and sometimes I just want to eat. So I decided to roll the dice with my two co-workers (one of which is Vietnamese and just as picky as I) and give this a try based on a few reviews of pho. Woooooooooooooow this place nails it. My co-worker was laughing because she said she almost never finished her pho unless it's really good. I was about to burst because I somehow accidentally ordered the big bowl but was determined to finish it. The lunch buffet was small but looked very good for Chinese food...Definitely worth a try considering the $5.50 price point. I also had the banh mi (which I always pair with pho) but that was the worst I've ever had. Butter? Salt instead of soy sauce? No pate? What in the world? 5 stars for my review still? You better believe it, this was definitively the best pho I've had in the state. read more

They changed their menu a while back and if you haven't tried them lately, give them another try! Fantastic food and very authentic Vietnamese dishes. Squid with Sour Vegetables was awesome. Great Bun and stir fry dishes as well. They even modified a dish for my special dietary needs. Very nice people and a great little restaurant. Best Asian food in Coon Rapids, hands down. read more

Cute little place and the staff is friendly, but they have a very weak and lacking buffet lunch. But, the price was surprisingly low, so that was a nice perk. I think I ate maybe half of the dishes offered (so around 2) and some soup. I don't think we'll go back for the buffet again, but we'd still consider trying them out for a take-out order. read more

The reason we chose this place was do to the proximity to my moms house and we had just got off the plane from Denver and wanted to take my mom out for some pho and there were some decent reviews for this place. When pulling up to the place it was a little dirty (which I am not opposed to as places like this normally have good food). So I have had Pho many places around the states and this is one on the worst I have come across. Pho was very bland and nothing really to it. I had the combo pho and it was lacking in noodles and in meat content. My wife had the seafood pho and it didn't taste any different which it should. Just a heads up! New Mandarin's Pho, for under $20, is as good as anywhere. I won't rave about their Chinese menu, but the Pho is unimpeachable. Ordered take out, they had a hard time understanding me. Chicken pho was eh... the broth was very oily and the chicken was seasoned with black pepper and salt. The combination pho (dac beit) was very bland. The rare steak that companied it was very chewy, couldnt tell if i had any tripe or tendon. The thai basil, jalapeno and bean spout you could tell was not fresh. Overall the broth had to much herbs in it which were soggy and all over the place. Springs rolls to my surprise were ok. Best pho outside of the cities! I was a little disappointed that a large, 2 meat pho would only come with a few slices of the beef. Needs a few more IMO. The flavor was perfect. Not bad , but certainly not great. The egg rolls were a disappointment. The soup was decent, rice was average to slightly above average. I didn't have the pho but I've heard it's what makes the place. For Chinese food go across the street to the rose garden ,much better!! read more
