Everyone was on IG was saying this was the best breakfast burrito in OC. We left home early before I got dropped off at the Long Beach airport and arrived around 9am. We ordered their standard breakfast burrito and it was really busy that day that it took 30+ mins. When we finally got it, it was honestly the most underwhelming thing we've eaten. I could only eat half until I was over it. Potatoes weren't crispy, it didn't taste seasoned, honestly 3/4 of it was egg and potato and the salsa tasted like watered down tobasco. You're better off going to Nate's Korner for their chorizo burrito. This is one of the few places I probably won't be going back to. read more

Maybe the most mid breakfast burrito I've ever had. Salsa is lame too. I got the machaca and there was legit maybe maybe maybe an ounce of beef for the entire burrito. Legit depressing. This place has been hyped for ever. Cool vibes though and the people working are chill. I'd probably go back for a sandwich next time. But super disappointed with the burrito tbh. read more

This is the kind of spot I like to find when visiting a new place. We stopped for lunch when spending the day at Seal Beach. This place is old school, top tier, good eats. We had 6 in our group and everyone ordered something different. All of the sandwiches were amazing. It was crazy busy but we found a couple of tables and food came out about 10 minutes after we ordered. Great food, decent prices, great guys behind the counter to make the whole experience something special. read more

After a rough morning we popped into Nicks for some comfort food with the kids. We were greeted right away and placed our order for four breakfast burritos. Seating was plentiful on a Thursday morning around 10:45 and we sat in the side patio area. The burritos came out quickly and were delicious. The kids added ketchup to their while my husband and I enjoyed the delicious red salsa on ours. It was the perfect place to fill our bells and life our vibe! We will be back soon!! read more

Craving a solid breakfast burrito, I hit this place on a Monday morning. Busy for that day/ time. Like hello? Who works? Ordered an Italiano. Basically the fixings with sausage. They gave 2 hot salsas to go. Decent burrito. Good size even to share. But the spuds were cubed and I'm a hashbrown girl.at heart. Would like to add some beans in too. Great burritos! Quick service, and they're cash only - so be prepared! Great value, everything on the menu is very cheap $8 for a solid burrito. They have about three tables, we got lucky and there weren't too many people on a Sunday at 2. I got the breakfast burrito with beans and hot sauce, was delicious. My friend got the mild americano burrito and it was too spicy for her ( but she's a bit of a weenie, so take with a grain of salt) Overall, not quite worth the drive from south orange county for me, but if you are near seal beach, it's worth stopping by. read more

I really love coming here. I don't do it too often as I used to back when I could eat non stop and loose weight lol. It's a cute little spot on Main Street. Street parking (can be a big of a hustle to find someone). I love their breakfast burrito, I usually share some with my husband. The service is always good, the place is clean. I been a fan for 27 years now. I tell everyone about their breakfast burritos. Extremely highly recommended!!! read more

We were recommended the breakfast burritos here, so we went to check it out! We got the basic breakfast burrito (bacon/chorizo) and the veggie one. Veggie is very basic - egg, cheese, potato. They also have another vegetarian option with much more. This one was a little underwhelming; it did feel like if there were so little ingredients it should have been more flavorful at the very least. However, for an 8 dollar price point, I can't complain too much! Eggs were cooked well in both. The basic burrito was much more flavorful, and definitely worth a revisit. We got the mild salsa option, and it was a great addition if you like a salsa that has a good tomato taste to it. read more

I love this place.Let me warn you though, I am vegetarian, ordered the veggie burritos, alongside my partner who ordered a meat burrito, as I take a swing at my food, I found one, just one piece of meat, which I assume was because my partner ordered meat. I have been several times prior, and it has never happened, and I've gone after the incident, and it still has not happened. Just keep the above in mind. Food is amazing, of quality and fairly priced. Heavy lines, lb natives and seal beach natives pack the small space. With out Nick's Deli? where would I be! read more

I've been eating here for over a decade since I moved to Long Beach back in 2011. They used to make their breakfast burritos fat. Over the past couple of years, I have noticed that breakfast burritos are getting smaller while their prices are going up. What's up with that, Nick? My guy Loves this place for their breakfast burrito. I think it tastes pretty good too but i like to switch it up every now and then here. Got the green chili burrito. Couldn't eat more than just half. It's simple with beans and rice. I'd get it again. Used to be cash only but take cards now. Small spot. Usually busy for a good reason! read more

I only took a star off because it's cash only! It would be perfect if it took cards. A little bit of a bummer as I don't carry cash and wanted to try more than 2 burritos so I settled with their Americano burrito. SOO GOOD. I went here based on a blogger's high rating on their breakfast burritos. I went with the recommended egg/chorizo/potato/cheese version. Sometimes I see burritos the size of a duffle bag, so I was very satisfied with the balanced combination of ingredients, the size, and density (not too big, not too much tortilla). There was just enough spice, plus a small container of salsa (mild). The service was very good and enjoyed the neighborhood feel of the place. I'd definitely come back to try other burritos and sandwiches, as they take great care in their making of it all. read more

Customer service sucks. The guy at the front counter (with a thick accent) was not helpful with the menu. The chorizo burrito was good- but only with the mild hot sauce. Great breakfast burritos! I order them spicy, with avocado and no chorizo. I've been getting them this way since 2008! The chorizo is good, but I feel like it overpowers the other flavors. The burrito (ordered with no chorizo) comes with grilled potatoes, scrambled eggs, cheese, salsa (mild or spicy) and bacon. With the added avocado the flavor combination is perfect! It's also a nice little restaurant to eat in, they have a patio that overlooks a nursery garden and some tables outside as well. My only issue is that it is Cash Only. It was ok when the Bank of America right across the street was there, but since the bank closed in July this year, it's a big inconvenience if you are walking Main Street and want to pop into Nick's. The only place with an ATM now is Chase, which is on the north side of PCH. I really wish they would start taking credit transactions, I would be able to eat there a lot more if they did. read more

A great local gem in Seal Beach for delicious breakfast burritos and sandwiches. I've tried the breakfast burritos multiple times, and a sandwich the last time I was in. I was really impressed with my sandwich- I got the tuna melt and it was one of the best I've had! It was not overly greasy, and pretty light for a tuna melt. It had the perfect toast on the sourdough bread, with minimal grease on the bread, and the right amount of cheese and Mayo, with nice crunchy pickles. I am going to be trying their other sandwiches as well! It's more of a pick up and go place, but there is some seating inside and outside as well. Next time you are in the mood for a sandwich or breakfast burrito, go to Nicks! read more

3.5 stars I recently ordered the breakfast burrito - comes highly recommended by my Long Beach friends - and a sandwich for an easy picnic at the beach. The breakfast burrito ($6.95) comes with eggs, chorizo, bacon, potatoes, and cheese. While these are all of my favorite breakfast burrito ingredients, it was a little lacking in flavor. There was something missing from all the action and couldn't quite bind all the ingredients together. I did really enjoy the California Club ($9.95). The sandwich comes with about a quarter pound of turkey, 5 strips of crispy, salty bacon, avocado, mayo, lettuce and tomatoes. I opted for a toasty white bread and it was exactly what I was looking for in a sandwich. I do have to admit that it became a teeny tiny soggy on the walk to the beach, so keep that in mind if you don't plan to eat your sandwich right away. Nick's is an institution - I've heard about it for years. They serve up a ton of breakfast and sandwich options. There's also a sprinkling of Mexican fare on the menu as well. The beach isn't too far of a walk from the downtown area so if you're looking for an easy picnic situation, I'd recommend picking something up from Nick's. Cash only so make sure you have plenty in case you call an audible. read more

Seeing a lot of reviews saying this is the best place in Long Beach for breakfast burritos and sadly I don't agree with that. It was really popular and there was a line when I went, so people love this place. I got a breakfast burrito with bacon and sausage. The size of the burrito was good, it was large. But the flavor was lacking to me, it didn't hit the spot at all. Kind of bland, wasn't wowed. Don't think I would come here again. It's right on Main St in Seal Beach so it's convenient if you're at the beach and craving something but I wouldn't drive out here just for the grub. Cash only, FYI. read more

I ordered the classic Torpedo. Although there were no size options, it was a huge sandwich loaded with fresh ingredients, savory meats, and a quality baguette. I also grabbed one of the La Dolce Vita drinks, and it made for a perfect, filling lunch. The serving sizes are generous, so sharing is an option. There is a market in the next room with many items from Italy, plenty to take home, and make a great meal. From dry ingredients and sauces to cold fresh pastas, pizza dough, snacks, olive oils, and more! Most you won't find in mainstream grocery stores. At the deli counter, meats and cheeses are offered, and prices per pound are posted just above the counter. First time visiting, and it was an excellent experience. The staff was friendly, made my sandwich with care, and kindly brought it to where I was sitting. The dining area is spacious inside, and a couple of tables on the sidewalk just outside the door. Seeing my receipt later, I see an "admin fee" that was added. Upon seeing other reviews.. they try to get you with a dine in fee. I hate stupid surprise fees. I recommend going to Nicks instead on main st if you want a sandwich.

Sorry not a fan... Overpriced not much put on your sandwich nothing but filler in the breakfast burrito which I mean potato. Don't believe I would visit this location for the other location here in Los Alamitos. Not impressed checked out other people's orders and found to be the same on a pastrami a roast beef a burrito just not the quality I'm looking for for the quantity for the price. My breakfast burrito that I ordered was a veggie and like I said it was full of potato I think I had some pepper some onion no cheese and it was supposed to have cheese. I definitely will tell you I will not be back. The location was clean small area. Customer service and so so I've had better. I used to live just a few blocks away and worked at the Marina.... let me tell ya, no matter what the circumstance - hungover or a long day ahead of ya- Nick's breakfast burrito always makes it better. I really cannot fathom why anyone would even consider this place good. I went for lunch and thought it was horrible. The meat I had was disgusting, not fit for human consumption. Literally it was fat with more fat and more fat, and maybe .10% meat...They overloaded it with saurkraout to the point of it tasting like that was all I ordered...the mustard made everything soggy....and I was out about $8 for this junk! Lusting after a breakfast place and new in town - I drove to have a breakfast burrito as recommended by my neighbor. Wow is all I could think to say to myself. Bacon, chorizo, eggs, potatoes, delicious mild salsa. It was perfect. The line was LONG- everyone in town was there. It is good value for money and once it got to be my turn the service was really fast. I ate the whole burrito and then went home to take a nap. I was well full and satisfied. Been coming here my whole life. I have yet to find another breakfast burrito that cures my cravings. I go with the standard breakfast burrito with avocado and "911" sauce. Their sandwiches are fantastic as well. The California club on sourdough is my favorite sandwich from Nicks. Definitely worth it but be ware, it's cash only. Although I bet they sell more breakfast burritos in the afternoon, then in the morning, so maybe they should consider changing the name to the "Nick's Burrito" instead.
