Ok so we are from Southern California and are spoiled by good pho. There soup doesn't taste like pho more like water down beef soup. It's not bad after a long day on the slopes with a hot steaming bowl of noodle. Calling this place a pho place is kind of misleading. This is pretty decent Viet & Thai noodle shop here in Mammoth Lakes. Friendly staff. Quick service (the menu has reduced down to just the noodles dishes). Their beef phở doesn't come with a lot of varieties of beef toppings, just the basic cooked brisket and rare steaks, but the broth is legit in flavor and seasoning. I didn't realize that the khao soi on the menu wasn't Thai but Laotian khao soi. My first time having Lao khao soi so I don't have a good frame of reference for authenticity but taste wise, it's saltier than what I would normally want in a noodle soup. Lots of fresh ground pork though and a few pieces of crispy pork rinds did add flavor to the overall dish. They give generous portions of noodles and broth. We got the regular size bowls and could barely finish. Can't imagine what the Large size be like. read more

Great Pho! Good people. Noodle-Ly is my go to soup place in Bishop/Mammoth. You can order ahead and pick up as well as sit down for lunch.

Came here with friends for lunch. When we all had a taste of our broths, we looked at each other in confusion because the soup had absolutely no flavor. We also asked for a plate of the veggies and they gave us about 5 bean sprouts and 2 limes for the 4 of us. Maybe I'm spoiled by living in orange county and having an abundance of authentic pho restaurants, but this is far from that. I think the store owners might be trying to make a healthy version of their noodle soups? Even so, my portion needed A LOT of chili and hoisin sauce to make it tolerable. On the brighter side, the thai tea was good. It was already pre-mixed and came from a large batch that was made earlier in the day, but regardless it was still yummy. Also was a generous serving size, and the server kindly gave us a togo cup to take the rest! I hope this place can figure out the flavor of their soup because it seems like it's still fairly new! The place closes at 8 but they refuse to-go orders at 7.40. We were so excited to try this place but this service was hugely disappointing.

This place is too good not to review. We usually in Mammoth at least 4-5 times a year during snowboarding season. This time we just happened to come for the fall color. We chose to stay here and drive pass Lee Vining to our hiking destination since air quality was so bad. As you all know, while Mammoth is offering year round activity, it lacks a good noodle place. Now, the wait is finally over, this is it! When outside of our comfort zones (OC and LA), we don't expect much. However, Noodle-Ly has exceeded our expectations and beyond. We've ordered #1 and #3. They were regular pho and kao soi. They were so yummy in tummy!!! The broth was so tasty but please don't expect it to have the same aroma as the actual Pho made in So Cal. Their Kao Soi was more like Nam Ngiao (another Northern noodle soup) with rice noodle but it was still on point. Service was courteous. If you happen to be in town on a cold night (or day), I would highly recommend Noodle-Ly. If you're not too picky and think all Pho and other noodle alike should taste the same as original, you will enjoy this place. After all, you're probably at least 150 miles from your best bowl of noodles. read more

If you are used to Asian food from LA/OC, I would not come here. Ordered the khao soi. Not a lot of flavor or protein really. I brought home leftovers and still could not get myself to finish it. Rarely leave bad reviews but this place is too highly rated IMO. Some of my group ordered pho and did not receive the veggies until they were almost done with their meal. It's flavorless and the rice noodles aren't great either. The #4 (Chicken pho): I did egg noodles, which were much better than the rice noodles. The warm welcome when walking as delightful. That welcome even though there were busy. They mentioned they don't do take out yet because they only can accommodate dine in. This was okay with me and my friends. We waited inside and quickly got a table quickly even though other people were also waiting. They worked well together and it was impressive. They then got our food out in a timely manor and it was perfect. It was hot and everything cooked to perfection. I am a vegetarian and I went with the veggie bowl and it was spectacular. This place gives preference to to-go orders. Stopped seating customers at 530 pm on a Saturday because they had too many to go orders. Food is good here but you need to give preference to people that actually show up at your restaurant. This is the second time I have had an issue with getting food from this restaurant. This is the best restaurant in Mammoth, and no, I'm not exaggerating. I dined here three times on my last trip here early in the fall, at the height of COVID, and they were extremely hygienic and COVID-conscious, despite my initial hesitation over dining out. Tonight, we took my parents here and the food/service was outstanding as usual; everyone here is genuinely nice. I usually order #3 (khao soi noodle soup) or #6 (Chinese barbecued pork egg noodle soup). Their Chinese barbecued pork is TO DIE FOR--they actually TRIM THE FAT OFF, which most places don't do, and the pork is still super flavorful even after soaking in broth. My parents were beyond pleased with their dishes and we plan on returning tomorrow (and every time we come back to Mammoth). Utensils are in individually wrapped packages. The food was amazing! I did the Noods Noodles and loved how the noodles were cooked just right! Loved the chili sauce. Other people had pho, chicken noodle and pork noodle bowls. Everyone loved theirs as well. Tried the blue tea "Butterfly Pea Flower" tea. Yummy! Server let me taste it to make sure I would like it. It can be tough to find good vegetarian food in Mammoth & this felt like the most fulfilling meal we've had in town! Found this gem of a restaurant today by doing a search on Google. Visited outside in the afternoon to "scope it out" and I think we spoke with the owner. Very nice lady who was cordial and answered all of our questions. We came back for dinner and had take out of 3 Pho dishes. Very well packed, but the best thing was the flavor and quantity served. I personally had the rare steak pho and it was great. We have pho all the time in Los Angeles and our family commented that it was as good as any pho we get back home. We frequent Mammoth several times a year and we will definitely return. Highly recommended and it feels good to patronize a small business where the staff and ownership are so nice. read more
