Pleasant surprise after being on the road for 10 days, with a quick stopover in Mammoth. We're from the Bay Area, so lots of Pho/noodles available - ranging from high end ramen, to "quick" Pho (get food within 3-5 minutes of order), and lots in between. I had the #5 dry noodle with BBQ pork. Excellent! Lots of meat, had to be careful with the chili sauce though. Green onions were a great flavor enhancer once I figured out to use the spoon (not chopsticks) to get them. My husband had #1 and said it was among the best he's had. The broth was rich and complex (sometimes "quick Pho) can be a bit watery). Good quantity of noodles, and the beef was excellent - nice and rare to start with, cooked a bit more in the broth. I helped him with the broth, so can attest to the excellent flavor. Service was attentive and good - our only complaint is that it seemed to take quite awhile for the food to come. We wondered if the noodles were being cooked to order? Anyway, it wasn't super busy, I'd read other reviews saying that either noodles would run out, or long wait if you didn't get there early - we arrived 5:30 or so. So I wonder if it got REALLY busy, if food would take much longer? But all in all, a great meal! It also appeared there was quite a bit of "to go" orders going, so maybe that explained the delay in getting the food. read more

The food here is absolutely incredible and the staff is so welcoming. Small menu and everything is delicious, just the way it should be done! Such a great find. Our family loved the restaurant, the food was wonderful and our waitress Elsa was a gem. Try the spinach noodles, try the OMG sauce. There were signs inside warning about potential delays due to staff shortage but they seemed well-staffed (with friendly people) and our food came quickly and well prepared. If you are looking for a healthy, delicious, hot meal, look no further. We ordered three soups and they were amazing, full of fresh ingredients. The noodles were perfectly cooked and not too salty. They are generous portions filled with the ingredients in good proportion. Everything smelled so fresh and fragrant. First off, I want to say that this restaurant has so much potential and I look forward to giving it another shot the next time we are in town. As a Chinese Vietnamese American living in the SF Bay Area who routinely cooks up noodle soups such as pho, bun rieu, and TW beef noodle soup (homemade broth, always) as well as equally enjoys take out, I hope those reading will find my review more useful than the review that calls one of the dishes vegan "ramen" (ramen...really??) We ordered the BBQ pork egg noodle (bf) and veggies noodle sub chicken stock (me) for take out. Pros (-ish): - Friendly waiters - Attentively following COVID-19 precautionary health guidelines - BF says the BBQ pork noodle soup tasted fine and satisfied noodle soup craving - Veggie noodles had lots of veggies. Cons (Constructive Criticism) - $4 to sub chicken stock for veg stock?? I expected there to be a cost to change broth but not a price so steep...especially if there is (if I am not mistaken) a big pot of chicken broth simmering in the kitchen. - The chicken stock tasted very salty...not sure what happened here. - As others have mentioned, the noodle and soup are served together in one container for take out. This forces you to eat it ASAP to avoid noodles getting soggy. Please package the noodle and soups separately to relieve customers of this pressure! Especially during COVID times, how take-out food travels is pretty important. (Perhaps divert the cost of custom-made Noodlely take out bags to more containers?) - Our order took over 30 mins before it was ready. A table that was seated after we placed our to-go order in person was served before our order was ready. I am typically understanding on wait time, but for noodle soup where you theoretically just throw all ready prepared ingredients into a container, I'm not sure what happened here either... (I also want to add that we were waiting outside the restaurant the whole time...maybe the waiters didn't see us?) Delicious! Just had dinner here with my husband. We first went to the ramen place across the street but since they were only doing takeout we thought we would try this place. We are glad we did. I wanted a low key dinner after a day on the slopes and our noodles were the perfect blend of comfort food thats relatively healthy and delicious. There was a bit of a wait for inside seating so we had a boba and beer outside while we waited. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming with appropriate covid protocols in place. I had such a yummy dinner. I ordered the #5 with rice noodles and a pot of butterfly pea tea - perfect for the thunderstormy weather outside. The noodles were cooked just right, the BBQ pork was sweet and tender, with a little char on the outside, and all the flavors blended together perfectly...sweet and spicy. Yum! A bit disapointed 2 of the 7 dishes were sold out, but was really happy with the Pho and the BBQ pork noodle dish. I was worried they would be flavourless as a broth based soup but both were really fragrant and slurpalicious. Worst place to get pho. Arrived at 7:20 and waited for staff to greet us, which took 10 mins. No argument, there were a lot of people waiting for orders. By the time we got our chance to speak to staff a women yells we are no longer taking orders. We watched a table of 5 be seated before us and 5 takeout orders filled before we had a chance to speak to a soul. Seemed a little unfair so after asking manager if she could make an exception since we were passed over she finally agreed with major resiliency. Not only was the customer service below average but the our rare steak pho (#1 see recipes) like eating a Campbell's chicken soup but they also forgot to include any sprouts, lime, mint, or jalapeños. So happy to have another Asian option in our mountain town, especially Pho. Owners and staff are so kind and attentive. I have visited several times prior to Covid-19 shutdown for the #1 & #2 (I pay a little extra because I like my Pho with braised beef and rare steak) and have always thoroughly enjoyed. Lots of people I know rave about the spinach noodles with OMG sauce, but I haven't had a chance to try yet. Went today as my first dining experience since shutdown and was impressed with their respect for social distancing and transparency in maintaining customer safety during this weird time (pre-packaged utensils and condiments were provided with no-contact food service at the table).
