Wanted to try something new. Was cravings dumplings. You know like soup dumplings. Looked on yelp and found this place. The menu is very vague in description. No pictures, no detailed description. Just item and choice of pork, chicken, or tofu. We ordered black garlic noodles, chicken dumplings, taro milk tea, and chicken pancake wrap. 1. Expect a long ass wait at this place. We waited almost an hour for our meal 2. Chicken pancake was more like a chicken burrito. Chicken tasted old and very dry. They didnt even use a pancake it was a tortilla. Tasted bad. 3. Black garlic noodles was just udon noodles with black seaweed and fried garlic on top. We got ours with shrimp. It was good but was not expecting udon noodles like you get in those packaged soup kits. Wanted real home made noodles 4. Chicken dumplings were like trader joes frozen goza. Not soup dumplings. Big disappointment. Plain and just steamed. Were good but i can go home and open a bag for a third of the cost 5. Taro milk tea tasted like heavy cream. Not milk teA Over all this place was expensive for the quality of food. I dont think they are going to last. Will not be back. read more

Perhaps it was an off day, but the XLB was soggy and mushy tasting, even though the waitress informed us XLB dumplings would take a little longer to make when we ordered it. I was confused because I expected it to taste freshly made-to-order after hearing that. Perhaps our standards were too high after having eaten Din Tai Fung. The garlic noodles didn't taste garlicky at all. Quite salty and tasted OK but not what I had expected. I think the menu should state that they're udon noodles, since we also weren't expecting that. The star of the order was the cucumber salad!!! The sauce was divine and I kept going "mmmm!" every time I had a crunchy and flavorful bite. Soo good. Hi, I came into the dumpling place. I'm a little scared. The mirrors are filthy the bathrooms filthy the floors are dirty. The front windows are dirty. I haven't tried the food yet so we'll see. I figure if you can't clean the rest of the restaurant. How does the back look yikes Hopefully we're gonna be safe. I'm trying to smell the food as it's being cooked. I don't see anything yet. Hopefully I don't have second thoughts and run out before my food gets here. The food didn't have a lot of flavor. I probably won't come back. It just is annoying. Not as it seems on Yelp photos. Rather than served on nice dishes it's thrown together in cardboard bowls. No atmosphere. The food was satisfactory. The service was not satisfactory. Shame, it must have taken a recent downturn given other reviews, but Incan't recommend. Plenty of better options on the street. read more

I ordered the house spinach and juicy XLB dumplings. Food is great, but I have to ding off a star for the dumplings price. I expect a little more oomph to justify spending that much on dumplings. Don't get me wrong. Food is still great. I really like the ambiance though. The place has really beautiful colored glass parrot chandeliers. Everything we ordered was delicious! My wife and I ordered the juicy xlb dumplings, pan fried dumplings, shrimp fried rice and the spicy cucumber. We didn't get a chance to take a picture of the food because it was so delicious! Okay, husband and I and our kids came here over the weekend, we thought oh yay dumplings, who does not love dumplings? Well sure enough $$$ spent and nothing we ordered tasted good. 1. Shrimp fried rice: shrimp was super fishy and smelled bad, rice had no flavor. 2. Spicy wontons: We had got extreme spicy and it definitely was not spicy at all? lacked flavor, filling inside tasted super hard and not good at all. 3. XLB dumplings: It was juicy, but inside meat filling was not good or tasteful, flavor was not there, skin of the xlb was good. 4. Cucumbers: it was not anything special.. definitely not worth the cost. 5. Pan fried dumplings: can buy any dumplings from a super market and just deep fry it ourselves, flavor lacked and for $12 was definitely not worth it omg!! This spot has a very trendy atmosphere, the staff are all very friendly and super helpful. There were four people in our group and we shared since most dishes come with 8-10 dumplings. What we ordered: Jumbo XLB dumplings- these soup dumplings were extremely juicy and packed with lots of flavor. Pairs perfectly with soy sauce and chili paste. Only downside was that I broke a lot of these, but if you slowly put a spoon under and grab with your chopsticks it makes it easier. Pork and cabbage dumplings- I could taste how fresh these were! The wrap was soft and the filling was a good pork to cabbage ratio. Pan fried chicken/vegan dumplings- these were perfectly pan fried and juicy in the middle. Garlic noodles- the noodles practically melt in your mouth and come with lots of veggies and the chicken had a nice marinade/flavor. They were also nice enough to separate the chicken since we had a vegetarian in our group. Great spin on Taiwanese food. Definitely not the same after effect in a good way! I don't feel super greasy or heavy after eating their food. We ordered the black garlic noodles, beef rolls, pan fried dumplings, and kungpao bowl. Unbelievable! Raw Meat!!! Because the customers order to go, they usually don't get a chance to inspect the quality of the food. Because the wonton is swimming in spicy sauce (good sauce in my opinion), it's difficult to identify the raw smell! No need for me to describe further. Please see the photo with your own eyes. Not authentic and overpriced. We ordered the... Black garlic fried noodles with chicken - The flavor of the noodles was pretty good, but the chicken was extremely dry and tough. XLB - I'm an XLB connoisseur, and these were just not it. I expect XLB to be delicate with the skin intact and soup inside. I received a dish of skin and meat, as the skin was ripped and there was no longer soup visible. The meat itself was subpar too. The meal we had was the Juicy XLB Dumplings, Kung Pao Plates Beef (you can also choose the level of spice to your specific taste), and the thirst quenching Magic Milk Tea Taro (kids loved it).
