Oakobing serves some delicious bingsu! They have a few different flavors to choose from. The ice itself is flavored so it's very creamy and flavorful! And they add fresh fruit on top which is a nice touch. They have different sizes to choose from but even the smaller size was kind of big for one person. You can see them shave the ice behind the counter which is fun! The place is very small, especially considering how busy it gets. But service was fairly quick. They do have iPads to order on which makes things easier. read more

Green Tea Shaved Ice - if you like matcha Injeolmi Shaved Ice - has smoky nutty flavor with mochi which is great for people who don't like sweetness to be overpowering. It comes with the condensed milk so you can adjust accordingly! Oreo Tiramisu Shaved Ice - If you like coffee, it comes with a side of it in a little container which was cool. Oreos were crunchy and sweet. Strawberry Melon Shaved Ice - if you're a fan of fruit flavored things. The quantity is huge so easily can share with a huge group! My friend hogged it all smh... They were all so good we wanted to each get a different flavor to try it all out. Everyone devoured it. Service was super quick and efficient. A little dessert place tucked in ktown..one of the best Korean-styled shaved ice places in La! There's plenty of seating in the shop and if you don't see any in the store, there are more in the back! I took my family here from Houston and they loved it! We had 5 ppl and 2 kids, at first I ordering three was overdoing it because the portions were huge! But we actually ate all of it and it was the perfect amount. I have to say... my all time favorite was the strawberry and Injeolmi (sprinkled with red bean, mochi, and Injeolmi powder) -fire! Also I guess it's not that fattening because they advertise that the smaller one is only 265 calories even with the toppings and drizzle. It's already sweet so you don't really need all that. Parking is annoying but there's a little vallet area where the guy charged me $5 bucks to park. It was worth it so you don't have to drive around looking for parking and it's conveniently right next to the shop. Anyway, love this place! You gotta try it! read more

Adorable shop, clean location, DELICIOUS dessert. We stopped here after getting Korean food across the street, and wow! I had no idea what it would taste like! It's almost too pretty to eat! Service was good! Everyone was friendly and they gave me a key to use the bathroom. I got the combination dessert with strawberries and the melon balls. Not too sweet! I was really worried it would be sweet, but it wasn't. I found myself eating more than I thought I would. I found feel like it's missing something to balance out the taste. Like something tart. Perhaps another fruit on the sour side, not sure. But it was delicious! And I'm glad I got to try it! It's apparently been around for a while, but it looks like a brand new shop. Went in at night on a Friday and I would have to say the store was busy. No lines or anything but there were a pretty good amount of people. I got the Mango bingsoo and it was delicious. The perfect amount of sweetness especially with the condensed milk in the side, i would say it was perfect. I really want to know how they shave their ice because it has a texture of it being dry at first when it touches your tongue, and other bingsoo places don't really get that dryness. Probably my top bingsoo places so far. I live in oc, and i would be willing to drive here to grab a bite! read more

What a sweet treat! Very refreshing and not too sweet the perfect combo for a dessert. Self service with a kiosk, gets very crowded at night time but during the day it's quick service. Ambiance is casual. Indoor and outdoor seating available. My go to is the green tea matcha, it already comes with mochi and drizzle. There's a single size and shareable available for 2-4 people. Mango melon is the way to go. The melon is so sweet and juicy. You can get mochi as an add-on but I don't think it's really necessary. One order is enough for 4-6 people. The bingsoo itself is very good too, but I think it needs a bit more condensed milk. read more

second time trying oakobing, but this time we tried the green tea shaved ice as well as the melon mango shaved ice. wait time was maybe 10 minutes to get our desserts so not bad at all. parking was horrible though, especially since we didn't want to pay $5 extra dollars to park in the tiny garage underneath. but the flavors of both shaved ices were delicioussss!! especially the melon one. it tasted so light yet refreshing and sweet. i dont know how they do it!! inside the place, there's a lot of tables and chairs with extra seating in a little back room which i love! they have a restroom too you just need to grab the key from the front. only issue was that an employee started cleaning something in the establishment with a very strongly scented cleaning product, like clorox bleach or something, it smelled like floor cleaner. that is definitely not a good thing to do when customers are eating. read more

Been here a few times now and I love their bingsu. They have about 6 flavors to choose from. My favorites are the mango melon and strawberry. Love how light, fluffy, and refreshing they are. Especially on a warm day.. which is quite often in LA even during the "ber" months. Can get really crowded on weekends so try coming during the week for less crowds. There's also limited seating inside. Street parking is tough in this area but they have valet parking for $5 which isn't bad at all. read more

The shaved ice is delicious and one of the better ones I've tried. It's flaky and each bite is flavorful. Other shaved ice places don't taste great because it feels and tastes just like hard ice dipped in the flavor. At Oakobing, you can tell it's been mixed and incorporated well. Fast service, large portions, friendly staff. You order via two big tablets upfront. The only con is that during evenings and weekends, the place is CROWDED! People take chairs/stools from other tables so their friends can all be in one table. So it's not uncommon for a table to have 6 chairs and another table to have mo chairs. You can also be waiting for a table to pop up for awhile when it's busy. But then it might not have chairs, lol. It can be pretty loud in here too. Honestly the most annoying part of coming here during peak times is not finding a place to sit. But the food and service here is great. read more

We heard about Oakobing but it was a little off the beaten path meaning not at the Korean malls, so I had to street park. Not a big deal. The place is popular. My son said he actually liked his dessert here more than Sul. I prefer Sul but it's all good. I ordered the Strawberry and Melon Bingsu single serve from the convenient kiosk and it was perfect for a hot day. Would return again soon. read more

Obsessed with Oakobing! After dinner, my friend group wanted dessert. Most of them had never tried bingsu so a quick Yelp search led us here! Oh my gosh, this was some of the best I've had. The shop is popping. We came on a weekend night and it was packed! Ordering is done at the kiosk and you wait for your name and number to be called. It was crowded there was no room to wait inside so we stood outside. There are a good number of tables but they were all taken. Even outside where they have a couple of tables were all taken. We ended up taking it elsewhere to eat. Service was fine, minimal interactions. The five of us all got single sizes. I had the Single Green Tea Shaved Ice. For being single, it's quite big and most of us struggled to finish ours! The green tea was so good, I loved how matcha it tasted. The ice was so finely shaven and not iced at all. I didn't use the condensed milk, which was fine because it was already sweet enough! The mochi bits were great too. My friends got a strawberry, a mango, and an Oreo. Out of them all, the mango was my favorite. It tasted so fruity and creamy! I highly recommend anyone craving dessert in Ktown to visit Oakobing! For my friends, it was their first time trying bingsu and they said they'd drive back to get it again! The dessert shop is off W 6th St. in a small shopping area, so it's easy to find. You order at the kiosk and wait for your number to be called, but it was a bit slow since there was only one person making everything. I really enjoyed the matcha, and the melon chunks were good too. I would have it daily if it wasn't for the sugar! There's never a long wait and order from a kiosk. Happened to end up at this spot for dessert after a girls lunch date. I had heard of this place a couple of times prior to actually trying it so I was pretty excited when one of my girls suggested we check it out. The store is small, as expected from its storefront. You walk in and there's 2 kiosks that you can order from. Then the employee makes the shaved iced, lugging around a large cylindrical block of flavored ice to the machine to make your order and does all the fixins before bringing it out to you. The service here is a minimal, so I can't really review on that, unless that's the review itself. O_O. Now our orders - The girls and I ordered the mango, green tea, and tiramisu. I think they were all really good, but one particularly stood out more than the other two. First let me start off my saying that they were all very refreshing. I felt like it was a sweet treat without the guilt (even though I know there is a little bit ;) ). The mango one was as expected, but just wish the mangoes that they had were just a tad bit sweeter. I ranked this one an 8/10. The green tea was the least sweet, but still pretty good and ranked this one an 8/10. And the Tiramisu, to my surprise, was actually my favorite. It wasn't too sweet, and I like the play on the cocoa powder on top. The mouth texture it provided was nice. I gave this one an 8.5/10. I probably would have enjoyed it so much more if I wasn't too full and wasn't watching my sugar intake, but for what it was - I would still come get this again. I've been here twice now, and it's one of my favorite shaved ice places in LA. Both times, I got the same thing. Maybe next time, I'll have to switch it up. I got the strawberry and mango melon as these are my favorite flavors. I came for dessert after stuffing myself full at dinner, and I thought it was going to be too much. The serving size is good, it's refreshing, and it's not too sweet. I did feel full for maybe 30 minutes afterwards, but it goes away fast since it's mainly ice and several pieces of fruit. It's always packed in there, but the wait time isn't bad at all. I would say less than 5 minutes max on a packed weekend night. They are pretty efficient. LA bucket list spot!! It's like the mian mian bing of my childhood but Korean. Not icy at all and very fluffy + mochi was so tender. I liked how you could decide how much condensed milk to add yourself. It can get very crowded but service is fast. One of my favorite, go-to spots for dessert in LA! If you're looking for something cold, sweet, soft texture, and sharable, this is the spot! This shop specializes in bingsoo which is a Korean shaved iced dessert made using milk/cream. What makes it so special is the texture which is much softer than your regular shaved iced desserts. That combined with their amazing toppings, flavors, and presentation, it takes the top dessert spot on many people's lists. This most recent time I went, I got the Injeolmi shaved ice and it was delicious. I loved the earthy and nutty injeolmi powder combined with the soft and creamy shaved iced. It was delicious. I also loved the chewy mochi bits which provided a nice additional texture to the dessert. My friend and I shared the single size one and it was perfect to share between the two of us. It can get pretty busy and crowded here, so plan accordingly. Parking in the area is difficult since it's street parking, but there's also garage parking in the back that you would have to pay for. Overall, I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting the LA Ktown area. read more

They have two touchscreens to self order and you either wait inside or outside but there's never enough seating so you may want to consider if you have a big group. If you're looking for the perfect dessert to cap off a dinner in K-town, Oakobing is the spot. Traditional Korean bingsu, the portion sizes are excellent for the price. But more importantly, the texture is impeccable. The ice is so thinly shaved that it's folded on top of itself almost like a delicate fabric. Once you pour the on the condensed milk, it blends together and creates an almost ice cream like texture, while being significantly lighter and healthier. After a heavy KBBQ dinner, this is EXACTLY what you want to cap of an evening in K-town. You don't want to miss it! read more

Love that they are doing special flavors each month! I reccommend checking our their instagram as they post which monthly flavor is happening. I went in june and was able to get the pineapple bingsu. Absolutely loved! Oakobing is one of my favorite bingsu places in koreatown and LA. Only downside is the place will fill up quite quickly for the summer,so seating is scarce. I do see some people do take-out so that could be an option. Must try in Ktown :) read more

My go-to spot for bingsu in LA! I've tried their oreo tiramisu, injeolmi, and mango melon flavors-all are terrific, and satisfy slightly different flavor cravings. Had the mango melon on my most recent visit, I can definitely see why it's one of the most popular flavors, very light and refreshing. The texture of the ice here is extremely smooth and creamy, with the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness. It gets quite packed and noisy at times, sometimes it can be tricky to find a seat right away, but the orders move quite fast. read more

This was my second time visiting Oakobing. While the shaved ice is delicious, my overall impression of the place hasn't been great--both visits left me feeling disappointed. First, the store is quite small, so waiting for a table is already a stressful experience. On top of that, the dessert prep area looked unclean, and the floors were noticeably dirty. During my first visit (on December 25, 2024), I was able to park in the parking structure without any issues. However, today (June 16, 2025), I see that valet parking was now required upon entering. They charged $5 for cash or $5.50 for Apple Pay, but the strange part was--they told me to park the car myself. If I'm self-parking, why am I paying a valet fee? When I got out of the car, the person collecting payments was just sitting there scrolling on his phone. The structure itself had plenty of open spots (probably because it's Father's Day), yet later I saw him valet another car and park it right in front of mine, completely blocking it. The whole experience was illogical and frustrating from start to finish. I don't think I'll be returning to this location. I'll probably try the Pasadena branch next time and hope for a better experience. read more

They have an area by the entrance to easily place your order so we went with the Injeolmi and Oreo Tiramisu. Also, a huge bonus: their ice is flavored! Most bingsu places use plain ice and rely on the toppings for flavor, but at Oakobing, the ice itself adds to the overall taste. We got the mango melon and strawberry bingsu. We felt like oakobing has thought about everything I wanted and made it a reality. Size- i loved that they serve a share size and a single serve size. I always felt other places had a regular size bowl that was too big and could only eat if someone else was with you. When I craved it by myself, it would be too much to for a single person to eat. But at Oakobing, the option of getting a big size or the perfect size for a single person was the first thing that I loved about this place. Flavor- Never over powering and a great balance of sweetness. The mango melon would have been too sweet if it was just melon but the mango was the perfect pair. (Don't forget the condensed milk if you LOVE sweets) It's so easy to make any strawberry flavored item taste artificial but this strawberry bingsu really tasted like strawberries and a good surprise. Mochi- usually an afterthought.. but this place serves it as a perfect addition to the bingsu. It wasn't too hard or too soft but the perfect texture and compliments the bingsu! Decoration- I hate it when what you see on TV commercials and menus are different than the actual item that arrives at your table (talking about you McDonalds). After all, you eat with your eyes first. But the esthetics at Oakobing made me want it more and really appreciate the effort that goes into every bingsu. ALL IN ALL- the great dessert for any day in California. I feel like any day over 70 degrees calls for a bingsu here. read more

I recently visited this popular Korean dessert place in Ktwon known for its amazing shaved ice. I ordered a single size of both the strawberry and mango shaved ice. Despite the long line, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it moved, In spite of the extended queue, I found it pleasantly unexpected how swiftly it progressed, bringing me a sense of relief. To place your order, you'd utilize an automated ordering pad. Once inside, I was pleased to see an abundance of seating options, both indoors and outdoors. Locating parking proved to be a bit challenging, particularly given the bustling Friday and the typical scarcity of available street parking. Now, onto the highlight - the shaved ice! The strawberry shaved ice was an absolute delight. The flavor was incredibly refreshing and the added slices of strawberries tasted fresh and sweet. The texture of the shaved ice was light and fluffy and milky, making each bite a delightful experience. Although I tried the mango shaved ice as well, it was the strawberry that truly won me over. The balance of flavors and textures in the strawberry shaved ice was simply delightful. Visited here last night after our Galentine's dinner, and it was bustling, being a holiday. Upon entering, there are two kiosks where you can conveniently place your order. We opted for the strawberry waffle bingsoo priced at $8, which is perfect for sharing between two people. They also offer a larger size, catering to bigger groups, which is a nice. The shaved ice here is slightly creamier than that of Sul & Bean's. I'd rate it a 7 out of 10 for its unique taste. While the space is rather small, we were fortunate to find a spot as someone was leaving when we finished placing our order. I noticed they offer smoothies as well, but we were already too full from the shaved ice to try them. Additionally, they provide free water, which is a thoughtful gesture. Not sure about the parking details cause we walked there from Halgari Kalguksu (6 mins walk for those interested in knowing). I have to say that Oakobing exceeded all my expectations! As a fruit and ice cream lover who is always looking for healthier options, I was thrilled to find this gem of a dessert spot. I tried the strawberries and the Injeolmi bingsul with mochi, and both were absolutely delicious. The fruit was fresh and sweet, and the bingsul was creamy and satisfying. I have to admit, I am more of a fruit person, so the strawberries really stood out for me. But the mochi in the bingsul was also a nice touch.
