Delicious! This place packs a flavorful punch. The food was phenomenal. Fresh, made to order, delicious flavors. Prices are reasonable. The staff were so friendly! We enjoyed everything we ate. The food is also pretty big portions. The inside isn't the greatest- don't expect fine dining- but the food makes it all worth while. We really enjoyed our dinner here.

I just love this place. The kimchi is fresh instead of fermented and I just love it. The miso soup with the tofu along with the kimbop to me is a perfect lunch. The ladies obviously the owner and takes pride in it. There is no seaweed as it's Korean miso I got some of the fresh barley and corn. I also get the seaweed salad and the daikon along with the tofu soup when I see it all from the cold section. The other thing is there soy potatoes are out of this world especially hot in Korean food will be not be mad!

If you are looking for a homely and quaint location to get some delicious Hawaiian/Korean food, and if you are visiting Burien, Ohana Kitchen would be a solid pick that will fulfill those cravings! We paid this restaurant a visit on a Saturday around dinner time and had our pick of seats. The ambiance of the restaurant feels very mom and pop owned, everything from layout of the tables and decorations, to just the general vibe. Ordering and picking up the food is done at the counter. Service is relatively fast, from order to pickup took about 10ish minutes - note that we did go when there were not too many other customers. I got the Kimbap and Spicy Pork entree, and both of these options were generous in the amount of food that you receive. It was especially nice since the owner saw that we wanted Kimbap and she even decided to make a new rolls just for us! The kimbap is delicious and filling, just look at the size of them in the photo! Ingredients were fresh and served as a nice appetizer if you are feeling very hungry. As for the spicy pork entree, they really are generous with the amount of pork that you will receive - it was a huge helping of spicy pork that had good flavor. Not too spicy, and was complemented nicely with the mac salad, glass noodles, and radish side. In the end, I spent about $29 for these items that you see here. I would say that I was able to get almost 2 whole meals out of everything here, make it pretty worth it in my opinion. I would definitely like to revisit Ohana Kitchen in the future to try their other enticing items! (4.5 stars)

I've eaten here a few times, and it's a hit or miss. The first time everything was great, which convinced me to return and try other items on the menu. However, the next few times I was sorely disappointed. I suspect that sometimes the sides are a few days old. The japchae has been crunchy and hard, which is the not the typical texture you would find. The mac salad and cucumbers have tasted sour (more so than necessary) and have given off an odor that made me question if it was spoiled. The main protein is fine, whether it's the chicken katsu, loco moco, or meat jun. So if you don't care about the sides, it's a great option for lunch/dinner.

First time in and have wanted to try. Upon arrival GOOD health department rating posted at door did not heighten excitement to try and a slight odor inside, something sour'ish? Was the ONLY person there during 1230pm lunch hour. Ordered loco moco, egg rolls, shrimp tempura & Korean short ribs. Loco moco, short ribs & shrimp tempura both really good and would come back for. Egg rolls were frozen same or very similar to Jack & the Box = not home made & would not recommend. Mac & glass noodle salad both ok.

Loved this Korean and Hawaiian fusion spot. You'll find the classics from both sides like Loco Moco, Kalua Pig, Poke, Bulgogi. I opted for the Kalua Pig and the Chicken Katsu. They are running a special for the Chicken Katsu right now where they'll throw in a large cup of curry (with meat and veggies, not just the sauce alone) for the same price you'd normally pay for the Chicken Katsu itself - great deal that I couldn't say no to! The Chicken Katsu was an absolute winner with that crispy goodness and the curry was delicious too. The meat in the Kalua Pig was quite dry though, and so I was disappointed in that plate compared to the ones I've had at other Hawaiian places. Other positive things that stood out to me during my visit: - Unlike at many of the cheap Korean restaurants I've been to, Ohana Kitchen was really generous here, everything from the napkin quantity to the utensils to the large portion sizes of the food. - The cleanliness of the place and seeing the owner lady actively spraying down and cleaning tables. - One neat feature is the "Grab and Go Delights" section with a variety of options in containers ranging from $6 to $10 each. It's a convenient option if you want to take some deliciousness home.

Great food and great customer service! Parking it a little hard to find here, as the store is located a plaza with other businesses. But I love that I have a poke shop close to home so I never have to travel far. My go to is the double scoop of spica tuna, with kimchi cucumbers, imitation crab, and masago on the side, then furikake seasoning on top. Good portion size too! read more

Wahhhhh i wanted to like this place so bad! But i didn't really. I guess let's just get into it. I got the short ribs meals ($19) The short ribs were so good that's why you got the extra star. The mac salad was very one note. The glass / clear noodles had no flavor at all. The kimchi cucumbers were warm. I didn't like that one bit. They should be put separately from the warm food. The put the mac salad separately why not the cucumbers? My wife had the loco moco. Bland meat, overcooked sunny side up eggs and not enough sauce. ugh ugh ugh ugh why?!? The egg rolls were good i guess but how can you really mess something up that comes frozen? Anyways i know of a waaaayyyyy better place with wayyyy better sides. Disappointing is an understatement. read more

We ordered Loco Moco, Kalua pig with Cabbage, Meat Jun, Hawaiian Fried Rice, 2 scope Poke Bowl; couple Spam Musubi and a side order of Miso soup. The food was served quickly and the musubi and fried rice were consumed in a few minutes by the younsters in our party. My miso soup arrived in a dark (miso) broth with cubes of tofu in it. The tofu turned dark color since it was cooked in the miso soup. I chose the ahi and salmon poke with masago, kimchi cabbage and red onion. The protein tasted average but probably could use more seasoning, but I love the kimchi which tasted slightly sour with a delightful spicy flavor. The Loco Moco tasted okay but the cucumber kimchi was a bit mushy, it appeared to be over marinated. I didn't taste the Kalua pig cabbage, but our guest didn't finish the plate and had it boxed to take home. In general, the food is decent, portion adequate and price is reasonable. It deserves a three star rating and the extra star goes to the nice people running this business for their friendliness and service in the aloha spirit! read more

Wowwww. Just wow. ***This review is solely for the poke*** What caught my attention was the Korean side dishes included in the entree! I changed my mind last minute and decided to get poke. They ran out of regular ahi tuna but I didn't want to wait 5 minutes haha. I just got regular salmon and spicy ahi. On top of that, you're able to choose 3 toppings. I got crab salad, cucumber salad, and pickled ginger. It was approximately $13 for 2 scoops. Bought it home and demolished it in 10 minutes. It was that good. Man when poke is premarinated it takes it to that next level. Only thing is the crab salad didn't have any mayo it was just dry but still good!! The food there tastes good, nothing unique but it tastes very good. The food is simple and tasty. I got the chicken katsu, it was very crispy and not dry at all. The best chicken katsu, light and fluffy bite. Other dishes were up and down. Liked the kim chee fried rice, a bit spicy. The meat jun was not my wife's favorite, but I thought it was good. Mandoo was ok. Didn't try any poke on our first visit as there was a big party that took most of the poke. My husband has been on the hunt for good meat Jun since moving from Hawaii many years ago. With Covid, we've been doing a fair amount of takeout and after researching, I found Ohana. He was over the moon. He said it was the best he's had since leaving Oahu! The portion was huge and the Mac salad was also spot on. I got the poke bowl with salmon and it was delicious. Awesome little hole in the wall in Burien. It's located in a strip mall, and there are a small number of parking spots assigned to the restaurant. I always order the katsu which comes with a side of mac salad and Kim chi. It's the best katsu in Seattle, in my opinion. Their tonkatsu sauce is so good (sweeter than typical tonkatsu sauce) and their mac salad is amazing. read more

Im not sure I know too much about hawaiian food, but I do know this place is AMAZING. Located in downtown Burien. Newcomers may be confused about how the parking works, they kinda only have one entrance because the parking is ONE WAY. Very minimal decor, don't expect any high end furniture and what not. Prices are average, maybe even cheap considering the portions sizes here. They are big. This is for sure one of the best places to eat nearby Seattle. You come in, order at the counter, wait for your food to be brought out to the table, then enjoy! Quick and simple. The food comes in huge plates and the plates are always filled. I always get the Kimchi Fried rice here and another dish. The Kimchi Fried Rice is clumpy (in a very good way); makes it real easy to eat. Its loaded with meat, kimchi and green onions. I don't really like the addition of spam into the fried rice, but I still find myself craving this Dish whenever kimchi fried rice flashes into my mind. I've tried the Kalbi Short Ribs here. Its simple and the flavor is satisfactory. No complaints there. The Loco Moco is the best I've had. Some places serve beef patties reminiscent of 1 dollar TV dinner; small, rubbery and provide no resistance when you bite it. But here, its a nice big heavy patty (not dry). Gravy is on point. I love that regular dishes come with mac salad, cucumber pickles aaaaand japchae. Most places only give you one, or charge you an absurd amount to add it as an additional. If you're on the look out for good hawaiian food or just good food in general, Ohana is a must try. read more

Closest thing I can get to having a island comfort food. I'm originally from Guam and being stationed here because military, it was hard feeling "home". When you have food that makes you have flashbacks about the good times back in the island, then you know the food is amazing. Cheers brah! I was getting my car repaired in Burien so I decided to check this place out. I had the Loco Moco with sides and it tasted pretty good. They have Korean food on the menu too which is pretty cool. I'm searching for Korean Bbq near me. But all of the Resto r so far. And my partner don't want to go since it's already traffic. So I'm having some tantrums lol. And then I saw this resto why not give it a try since I'm so hungry and want Korean food. I called my partner to go at Ohana kitchen and buy me food. The Kimchi bowl OMG yummyyyyyyy! Plus bulgogi and we get the chicken tonkatsu. Plus additional kimchiiiiii. The price was good. It's worth to try! Andddddd it's near to my place. Happy tummy :) read more

The best restaurants tend to do a couple things really well: great food and consistent cooking. Ohana Kitchen is one of the few Asian-Hawaiian-Pacific restaurants in the Seattle area to get top marks in both these categories. The recipes are very satisfying, with high quality whole ingredients, really great flavors, and a consistency of cooking that never wavers. I've eaten at Ohana dozens of times, and never had an 'off day' or a bad meal. I cannot emphasize enough how difficult that is to do in a kitchen, especially at peak hours. But it speaks to the commitment of the owners to quality ingredients, careful prep, skillful cooking, and time-tested recipes. Everything on the menu is great: Poke, meats, everything. You cannot go wrong with any of their items. read more

Discovered this place while looking for something to order during my lunch and it was less than 5 mins from my workplace. I love how this restaurant is a fusion of Hawaiian and Korean food. I ordered the Kalbi short ribs to-go and of course it came with rice, Mac salad, cucumber kimchi, and japchae noodles. Their kalbi short ribs are delicious! Probably one of the best places for Korean short ribs. Can't wait to go back and try other stuff on their menu! read more

I'm giving a r star because I'm heartbroken that one of the greatest things about this place was that they used real plates, cups and silverware! therefore reducing the waste buried in the only Earth we have! change has to start somewhere. unfortunately I went in today for a pick up order and discovered the silverware was replaced w plastic utensils which are not recyclables...just straight trash that never disappears... plastic is so poisonous to our world. the real cups/mugs replaced with to go cups... and not sure if the take out was always in styrofoam? but it is unfortunately. not sure why the change happened??? would be great if they at least offered compostable items if the dishwashing became too much the food was still good but I'm not sure how often I'll go back as I try and support places that are sustainable and Earth friendly hoping they change read more

One of the few places I know that serve Meat Jun and it is oh so delicious. The portions here are huge and we definitely left stuffed. Besides the Meat Jun we also had the Kalau Pork with Mac salad and it was reminiscent of our time in Hawaii. Very authentic and be coming back for sure. read more

Awesome little secret spot. They serve meat jun which I've always wanted to try. I came here before my cousins dropped me off at the airport and we loved the hole in the wall vibe of the place. The plate was packed with sides as well: kimchi, japchae, mac salad and rice. It is a variety lovers dream. We drive all the way here as food is usually decent. Customer service has gone down. Quantity of food and sides also got less. Lady who takes the order is hard to understand but when you ask to repeat nicely she yells at you back and sounds really irritated. read more

I always come with a big group here, and they always seem to accommodate us with the greatest of ease. We really feel like we are welcome eating here, and boy, do we eat. The plates can be big, too, and so filling. We can even skip a meal after eating here. read more

Literally just writing this review because I am pissed they are closed Sundays. Don't they know I need chicken katsu on the Lord's day? Cucumber kimchi? uh duh. Mac salad, obvi! Ugh. read more
