This restaurant is unique. It seems to mainly be outdoors but there is some indoor seating, so plan accordingly. As far as everything else it was just ok. Our appetizers (the pretzels and dip) came out cold. It was a slow Tuesday night, as far as what it seems. It also took awhile to get all of our orders in. We put appetizers in right away however our order for the main dishes wasn't put in until after we had already finished our appetizers. And the food was nothing to special. I basically only come here for brunch because it's an amazing deal as you get a penny mimosa with any brunch entree. We had such a blast here when we went. We originally sat down for drinks at a different establishment but wanted a more laid back vibe and found ourselves here! The ambience is super open and the service felt like hanging with some old friends. We went on a Saturday morning/afternoon and I couldn't get over how every single staff member was cleaning the place from top to bottom. I've worked in many restaurants in my day and this is not the norm in my experience, so refreshing! The Bloody Mary was delicious (homemade jerky for the win) and my partner's cocktails were as well. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name or the server that took over, but they were both very courteous and professional. We started off with Happy Hour drinks & appetizers and then moved into dinner. What a cute little place. Came here with friends on a Monday evening and it was self seating. We found a booth near the bar and although a waiter didn't bring us menus, we ended up grabbing a few from the bar...no biggie. Our waitress made her way to our table to take our drink orders. Very patient I might add. Lucky for us, we arrived during happy hour so all of our drinks were $7 instead of the $11 price tag. I'll take it!!! I ended up getting the brisket sandwich and ordered the oasis punch drink. Both yummy in my opinion. The sandwich was really messy though. Prime location in downtown Gilbert, love this area and the night life it offers. This place is open late for dinner, which is what brought us in...however they only offer a limited Happy Hour menu after a certain time. Ordered the Burger that came with OHSO sauce, which is supposed to be like a thousand island sauce. That being said it has horseradish in it, which is not for me. Wish I had known that prior to ordering it. They were very accommodating though and were able to remake the burger. The Green Chile Pork fries were solid according to my dad, as I do not eat cheese. Was not blown away by the food and understand that their menu options were limited due to the time of arrival. Really can't say enough great things about Ohso! Incredible rotating beers that are brewed onsite, great vibe, GREAT food, and a really unique space with both indoor and outdoor areas. Oh, and don't forget about the Dog Spa on site also! This location also has the Novelist, which is a more upscale restaurant-within-a-restaurant and has a different food and drink menu. Ohso seriously knocks beers out of the park. I love that they have the huge chalkboard telling you what's coming and when. They especially do specialties and collabs well. Around Christmas time they had a Santa's Cookies beer that was a cookie-flavored nitro milk stout, and it is my favorite beer of all time. I was sad to see it go! They often do collabs with other local places also. Bartenders are great about letting you sample also! Food is waaaay above average for a bar. A tad bit pricey, but portions are also huge, allowing for easy sharing. Our go-to is always the steak & frites (get the cheese sauce!), and either the PBJ burger or a sandwich, which we share. I've truthfully never had a bad meal here! Finally, the space. Each different area has its own personality. The front bar usually gets loud with tons of convo buzzing, the back bar and yard area are usually filled with dog owners and groups, and the vine is super chill, and the Novelist is low key upscale, great for a date night. In caee you didn't know, Ohso is outrageously dog friendly, so avoid the back bar if that bothers you. What a great place to eat and take out tiny little Mastiff. So let's start out this review with on the weekend that we went this place was so crowded but the wait was only about 15 minutes. They have a closed in dog patio were you can take your fur baby and sit while your waiting. They also have free dog biscuits for your dog. The eating area was huge with tons of dogs all over the place. We were seated at a shady and very comfortable table but Gus was too large to sit under the table so he laid down in the aisle. I apologized for his being in the way and the waitstaff were so gracious and stated it was not a problem. Gus is 95 lbs. and like to spread out when he laying down and I was amazed how the waiting staff jumped or walked over him. Kaleena was our waitress and she was just a gem. I always have a good time here no matter which location I go to. I love coming here for brunch/lunch/breakfast, whatever you want to call it. I ordered the chicken and waffles. This isn't going to be like Lolo's, but it was still really good and such a huge portion. My husband ordered one of the burgers, I'm not sure which one though. I always really enjoy most of the items on their menu. I love their outdoor patio and the fact that they are dog friendly. We went during the week so it wasn't busy and we were seated right away. Food has consistently come out cold, without so much as an apology from the server. There's no sense of timing between appetizers and entrees. (Appetizers come out the same time as the entree) One thing that this establishment is never short on is attitude from the server/bartender. Update: the owner sent me a gift card to return to the establishment and I returned. Service was better, and prices were consistent. My friend ordered a sandwich which he enjoyed. Either way, this time was much better and the dinner selection was much more my groove. The pretzel was as delicious as last time. Husband jalapeño cheese curds were also good. Awesome selection of happy hour appetizers. We almost ordered more but knew we had to save room for the rest of our meal. I finally got my beer braised short rib and it was delicious. I got both my drinks for $7 each during happy hour instead of $12 each during a weekend brunch. And the side of French fries I got was MUCH MUCH more plentiful than my previous visit that consisted of about 20 fries on a big plate. My husband got brisket Mac n Cheese, which he also said was good. Our desserts were also top notch. I got the caramel apple pie, which the caramel is no joke. This place looked cool and the reviews were good online. We came here on a Saturday evening for drinks and dinner. We put our name down for 4 people and waited less than what we were told and that was awesome. The waitress brought over waters and took our drink order and got them out to us in the standard time. We also ordered food at the same time of drinks, bar food, nothing fancy. The girl came by twice to check on us and it was already an hour and ten minutes since we ordered and we starving. She didn't apologize or say something like what a normal person would, "let me see what's taking so long". I wasn't going to take out our frustration on her, it wasn't her fault, that's poor management and poor direction in the kitchen. I politely asked for our bill and to cancel our food order and WITHOUT a reply or hesitation, she turned around, walked away and came back with the check. I paid the drink tab and even left $1 per each drink order. I now regret leaving the $4 tip. To the manager or owner/s of this location, get a grip on your service, your employees will eventually run this place into the ground. I fell in love with this place the longer I stayed. This was my first time here and it was recommended by a friend. I'll start off by saying they allow dogs and they have pictures of them on the walls so that was cool. They have ping pong tables outside and TVs to keep you entertained while you wait. Next the chicken and waffles were the best I ever had! They had a spicy syrup that was really good as well. Lastly the customer service was on point as well. This is our second time at OHSO! We have gone once for lunch (got right in) and once for brunch (said 20 min wait, much closer to 10 min). Both times have been great! Service is fast and attentive. Visited this spot tonight. Ordered a Patty Melt with the onion jelly on the side. This is the junk I was served. My girlfriend and I couldn't get over how useless our bartender was. Tall dark haired individual wearing a baseball cap with tats all down her left arm. She had the worst attitude, never got her name but she hardly engaged with us.
