I've only eaten here once but I've used them for multiple catering events for marketing. Every time, its a hit! I usually get the taco/chalupa bar which is a favorite of all the offices I go to. Possibly the worst Mexican restaurant I've been to in years. Dallas prices but tiny town, high school cook, quality. It looked nice, authentic and promising, but promised nothing but disappointment and a rip off. They are seriously overpriced for the quality and portion size that is given to you. The salsa is horrible. They charged $10 for 2 tamales ( the only option was beef) rice and beans. Everything was BLAND ! like retirement home food. Absolutely no flavor, and just gross. It also came out way too fast after we ordered, like they put it in the microwave for 1 min before serving. We also got the " large" $6 guacamole and were served 2 1/4 cup sizes of guac that tasted like the Walmart pre- packaged crap. We got our check and they forgot to check us out, we waited 15 min before flagging them down.$ 36 for food that I wouldn't want pay more than $18 for. I was in the area and was excited about Ojedas since I've eaten at the original location since 1968! This location was a disappointment since the Taco was sloggy on the side lying down and the Cheese Taco's were on a cold plate that made the only warm cheese not very good! I did mention and left a review to Ojedas themselves, but no redponse. I told the waiter and he said sorry!! So this is why I'm giving my review on Yelp! Even though my bill was only 10.00 I gave the waiter $3.00. We have known the host Miguel for years now and he is definitely the personality of the restaurant. Our favorite server is Andy, who always ensures everything is done right. Their hot sauce is legendary and we actually buy it in jars for certain family members during Christmas time. They take good steps during Covid to make us all safe. My dad and I went here for Cinco de Mayo celebration. I had been to Ojeda's once before in February and had very high expectations based on my last visit, but I was extremely disappointed on Thursday night. The food quality was subpar and everything tasted dried out. The only good thing about the meal were the frozen margaritas and the sopapillas with vanilla ice cream. I have seen this place for years, but only just came for the first time. Started with the standard chips and salsa. I loved the spice of the salsa and could have had it in an IV! I ordered chicken fajitas for my meal, and they were delivered within 5 minutes. I had doubts about the meal, worried that they had just nuked the meat, but it was juicy and wonderful! The accoutrements (guacamole, sour cream, cheese) were tasty additions. In Texas, decent Tex mex has a hard time distinguishing itself. I'd definitely come back! read more

This was NOTHING like Ojeda's on Maple Ave!!!! which I always enjoy. Strip center location in Plano was awful. Should have left when the number of cars was unlike Mapke Ave. Service included only one waitress and she tried. I ordered the number 12 plus a cup of queso. 12 included a Chili Relleno, puffed taco & a sour cream enchilada. Everything was bland BLAND and tasteless!!! Chili Relleno sauce was more like gravy that was thickened with corn starch to look like sauce and lots of string cheese. Chicken enchilada was so so bland. Tastes like gravy without the sour cream!!!! And sadly I mean seriously how do you mess up a puffed taco??? There was something off with the ground beef. It also was bland. I ended up adding salsa and jalapeños to everything in an attempt to redeem the taste. It just never improved. I almost always take leftovers home but not this time. Ojeda's has raised their prices several times recently and has now started to reduce the size of their portions. Normally the Cheese Enchilada's are covered with Queso and onions and fills the whole bottom on the to go container. Last night the Cheese Enchiladas covered 1/2 the bottom of the container and didn't have enough onions to fill a tablespoon. I've been a regular to go customer for 10+ years, but No Mas! read more

Food 3/5: The rating that most people probably put first. Now when I looked on maps, the food looked decent. However, when I got my food, it looked a bit rough. I decided to get the chicken fajita with the rice and bean option. The rice was awful. One of the worst I've tasted at a Tex-Mex restuarant. The refried beans were fine, typical canned. The vegetables and tortillas were good, no issues there. The main meet, grilled chicken, looked rough and tasted like cardboard. It was really dry and had no flavor. Would not recommend. Atmosphere/decor 5/5: When I first walked in, I was stunned by how great the place looks. They did a nice job in decorating and even did some holiday celebration for Halloween. The place was really clean and made you feel cozy. Service 5/5: The service was spectacular. Extremely friendly and made sure to check on you regularly. Food did come out fast and I didnt have to wait very long for anything at all. Sadly, as much as I liked the place and the people, the food was just really bad. Authentic mexicans working(Unlike me lol) with homemade tortillias soooo fresh and warm... Be careful tho. My friend had the puffy taco, and swears it was the best! This restaurant has been a go to place of mine for a very long time. This place has that locally run restaurant feel, and it's nice to have options that aren't tied to big chains too. The service here is great, and the whole team has been there since I've started dining here, and they will remember you if you dine frequently. Every waiter is friendly and usually the food is fast to come out too. The menu here is not too big, but you get plenty of options, they have all the Tex-Mex classics, but they also have a few dishes you can't get elsewhere. The food, for what it is I think it's pretty good, while it's certainty not going to be the worlds best, for the very low prices they charge, it's great. The portions here are pretty good too, you'll most certainly leave not feeling hungry anymore, all for under $20. I have heard good things about their bar drinks too, but since I don't drink alcoholic beverages I can't comment on that personally. We had dinner at Ojeda's on March 12th around 6pm. This place has been there for a long time, we decided to give it a shot. The place was full of customers and we saw a lot of take out orders and the staff was great. The queso with meat, was mediocre. My husband and I both ordered enchiladas. The beef enchiladas with chili con carne was below average. It was edible, but the chili con carne sauce didn't even look right. The chicken enchilada was just ok. We will not be returning to this restaurant, there are a lot of Tex-Mex restaurants in town; this just wasn't good enough for us. read more

Another Tex-Mex but this time it's one of those small town favorites. Enchiladas are spot on- not caked in cheese and the beef doesn't fail you. I can't find any place that knows how to do chicken and this place still doesn't prove me wrong. However it comes out a little sweet and for my situation a little dry. The Spanish rice isn't anything special and doesn't try to take away from the main dish. Refried beans isn't caked in cheese, so that is another plus. Service was good recently. Our food was sub par though. My brisket tacos were made with what I thought was overcooked meat or maybe leftover meat that was drowned in a heavy chili sauce. The rice was cold. The charro beans tasted like they were also old and not consistently tender, as if mixed with leftover and undercooked beans. Two bowls of salsa were placed on the table. One was so hot, my husband could not eat it. I did not try it. He was not impressed with his enchiladas. He said he'd had much better elsewhere. This is a childhood favorite of my wife's. It is pretty good. They have a thing called double refried beans that you can order with your meal instead of the normal charro beans. It is ridiculous. They must run them through an emulsion blender and put an extra scoop of lard in them. Nothing on the menu is questionable to me. Menudo and vegetable soup is served in the weekends. What can I say, this place rocks! My favorite Mexican food in Dallas. The cheese enchiladas (with gravy sauce) topped with beef fajita is just too good.
