I didn't love the mussel itself as it was very thick and chewy. I was slightly disappointed with the garlic scallop since I read it as a top choice in the Yelp reviews. The flavor was good. I mean who doesn't love garlic? But the portion size was so small for the price... there was not a whole lot of scallop and there was vermicelli fillers underneath. Scallop naturally has a very mild flavor so the garlic didn't do it any favors in bringing out the taste. I definitely liked it because of the garlicky taste but wouldn't order this again. I am a HUGE fan of the skewers. I personally LOVE cumin so I was very happy with the flavors. Yes it's true the skewers can be seen as very one note due to the same toppings for all of it, but there certainly is a hint of difference in taste depending on the meat of choice and certainly the texture. The squid was much more chewy than I would've liked and probably wouldn't order this again. Loved the other choices of skewers though and honestly cannot pick a favorite. The pork belly was super juicy. The beef tendons was the most unique of all the skewers we tried because of the buttery texture. Lamb is always a must-have. The emoji mushrooms is a good choice because it sops up all the sauce. Yummm.

Me becomes easily off the bone but it's still chewy in parts. The KC red sauce is forgettable, and if you've ever had authentic KC barbecue sauce you know that is a major unforgettable part. They have a nice selection of different foods on the menu, and the sides are pretty good for the most part. Service is very good and the food came out quite quickly. They have a take-out section in the back that is also very good.
