The honey cornbread is scrumptious (and complimentary!)
Darcy D.

I am flabbergasted that this restaurant only has 3.6 stars. I flew in from Florida the morning I came here. I had planned to go to Laguna, but after such a long flight, I couldn't make myself sit in the car for another hour. Instead, I looked for a restaurant with a view closer to Anaheim. That's how I stumbled upon this gem. First, the front is gorgeous with water features and a little pond. There is a fireplace out front. The view from inside is amazing with the sunset. It would be a fabulous location for events! (There were two events happening when I came for dinner.) Just note it is valet only! I showed up 15 minutes before my reservation, and I was seated right away. The hostess was very nice. I had mentioned to the hostess that I was starving, and she told my waiter who made sure not to disappoint. Jenner was my waiter, and he was great! He was very attentive and offered me great recommendations, which is probably why my meal was darn near perfect. First, THEY GIVE YOU COMPLIMENTARY HONEY CORNBREAD. When I saw Jenner walking up to my table with that giant hunk of corn mealy goodness I about died of happiness. It was so yummy! For my app, I got the tomato burrata salad. That was the highlight of my meal. (Surprising after how I spoke about the cornbread, no?) This salad comes with a huge ball of burrata on top of a pile of tomatoes, peaches, and fennel. It was sweet, it was creamy, it was herbaceous...it was PERFECTLY refreshing. (Definitely not a one person salad. Trust me.) My entree was the Wild Mushroom Pappardelle Pasta with truffle whipped ricotta and basil. I added chicken since my protein was lacking today. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The pasta was creamy, but the truffle was not in the room with us. I love mushrooms, truffle, and basil, so that was a bummer, but honestly, I can't remove a star for that. I washed this all down with a nice glass of wine, and I left feeling fat and sassy...and with three boxes of leftovers. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach, but if you think I left a morsel of food on that table, think again. Update: I finished the burrata salad and cornbread for breakfast...it was just as good. I wish I had more.

Came here to experience the beauty I was told it had. The view is good, but it would be better without the smog. As you walk in, they have a small bridge path that has Koi Fish underneath the water. We had made a reservation, so the wait was only 5 minutes. The place is simply decorated, nothing stood out, but the view was awesome. The Corn bread was nothing to brag about. We all ordered the steaks, and they were not bad. They have some fancy drinks, but after a couple of drinks not remember the names of them. Our main complaint was that the area we sat in the AC went out, and they said it was on. NO IT WASN'T. They have inside and outside seating . Not a bad place if you like the best view of the city.

My boyfriend surprised me with a reservation at Orange Hill for my birthday! I had a wonderful time. Our reservation was conveniently made through the OpenTable app. Parking is valet. We were seated promptly at our reservation time of 7:15pm. The restaurant is gorgeous and sits on a hill overlooking the city of Orange. During the summer, there is a breathtaking view of the sunset right at dinnertime. Our server was Ailyn, who was such a sweetheart. She took amazing care of us and went above and beyond to provide us excellent service. Complimentary cornbread is provided, served with a drizzle of honey, Himalayan sea salt, and a cayenne infused butter. The butter is so good and really makes the cornbread shine. I had the "Paid Vacation" cocktail, served in a glass ball swinging on a crescent moon shaped hanger. Everything about this drink from its presentation to its flavors was loud, fun, and summery. You are given a Szechuan flower to nibble on before sipping your drink, numbing your tongue with a mala tingling sensation. The drink itself is vodka based with passionfruit. I loved the tropical taste and playful presentation. This drink is one of four "main character" cocktails that one would order if one desired the attention of the entire room. And it was my birthday, so of course I did. For our appetizers, we got the caviar frites and crispy rice tuna tartare. The caviar frites were perfectly crispy and seasoned. I loved the accompaniments such as the vodka creme fraiche and dollops of caviar. The crispy rice tuna tartare was plated beautifully. The tuna was fresh and spicy, and I loved the crispy rice on the bottom. At this point in our meal, Ailyn advised us to take pictures with the gorgeous sunset on the patio while we waited for our entrees. A small handful of people were doing the same. The sunset was especially breathtaking from our vantage point. I could see every layer of the rainbow embedded in the blazing California sky. I had the filet mignon and added an Atlantic lobster tail. The filet was so tender and juicy. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly. I really liked the side of 50/50 mashed potatoes as well. The mash was extremely creamy and the crispy bits of potato "hay" on top were delicious. I had a lovely experience at Orange Hill. I would definitely come back.

Shannon the server made the view even better. Coming here at 3;30 was the key! Had the place to ourselves, highly recommend!

Bone-in ribeye

If you're looking for a restaurant with stunning city views, excellent food, and outstanding service, look no further than Orange Hill Restaurant. From the moment you step out of your car and hand your keys to the valet, the experience feels special. As you make your way into the lobby, you're welcomed by a beautiful fireplace that immediately sets the mood. We were greeted right away and invited to relax in the waiting area while our table was prepared. Don't get too comfortable, though, the wait wasn't long at all. Once we were seated, our server, Jeff, greeted us with water and took great care of us throughout the evening. He was attentive, friendly, and offered excellent recommendations on some of the restaurant's most popular dishes. We started with the coconut shrimp, and it was the perfect introduction to what turned out to be an amazing meal. I ordered the New York strip steak with mac and cheese and garlic fries. I wasn't expecting the portion sizes, they were huge. I barely managed to finish the steak, which was incredibly tender. If I hadn't been so full, I probably wouldn't have needed a to-go box. My wife ordered the bone-in ribeye with the 50/50 mashed potatoes, and it was just as delicious (yes, I snuck a bite or two). To finish the evening, we ordered the Café Con Leche dessert, an espresso lava cake topped with Oreo crumbs, cookies and cream ice cream, and espresso beans. It was so good I was almost willing to make myself uncomfortably full just to avoid leaving any behind. I'm exaggerating... but only a little. We've been here several times, and it has never disappointed. It's definitely on the pricier side, but it's well worth it for a special night out. Between the incredible views, attentive service, generous portions, and memorable desserts, Orange Hill is a place where you can relax, enjoy great company, enjoy great food, all while watching the city lights.

This is our 3rd time here and we love it. We came to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary and had a lovely experience. We had Jeff as our server and he was phenomenal! He answered any question we had and made sure we had everything we needed. Our food came fast, we started with what I think was cornbread with butter and some salt. Then they brought out our coconut shrimp and they were amazing. So crunchy yet so tender and buttery on the inside. The sauce they drizzle over them has a sweet but spicy flavor. The salad was also super yummy I just didn't think it was gonna be so big or I wouldn't have ordered it bc it was only me eating it lol the Mac and cheese was perfect, it was cheesy but not overwhelming. The mashed potatoes were very fluffy and the crunchy onion topping gave it a nice crunch to it. My ribeye was so juicy and tender. The dessert was okay, not too sweet. Such a cute restaurant to come celebrate any occasion.

Not a huge fan of the food here, but the views are nice. Parking is on site, but there is a $10 valet fee. Once seated, you do enjoy the view. My friends and I dined at night so we were able to enjoy the city lights and even see the Disneyland fireworks. We ordered a lot of different things like the tuna over crispy rice, which was good. Coconut shrimp, which was OK. I ordered the tomato and burata salad, which was not good at all. The salad came with peaches that I was expecting for it to be grilled peaches, but these were canned peaches that were put in the salad that did not pair well with the dish. We also tried the butter fish, which was good, the short rib and the chicken. We ordered drinks, which I believe is what they're really known for. Very sugary for our taste but if you like sweet drinks, they have plenty to offer. The service was OK there were times in the night where we were waiting for our server to come around so we can ask for more water or extra napkins.

I'd like to point out how amazing the bar staff are. Karla, Matt, Scott, Sean, Beau, Cassidy....even Tommy! I'm here pretty often as I usually stop by after work for a meal and drink. The food, to me, has always been great. From chicken and waffles to their filet mignon and everything in between, I've never had any complaints. Food is flavorful and plentiful. You cannot beat the view and setting. Your views extend from the mountains to the sea, and the interior is tastefully decorated. Top notch place for any reason! BONUS: Did I mention how great Karla is?

Jayson E.

Went here for a special occasion, it requires valet parking so that was new for me. It is a very beautiful restaurant with beautiful scenery. I was seating in one of the booth seats away from the windows, but it was still a nice sight. The food and service was great, the food we had ordered was delicious and we had no issues whatsoever. A great place for dinner and for special occasions.

Whiskey sour and this amazing bread they brought out

What a wonderful restaurant! I brought my son here to celebrate his 40th birthday and they did not disappoint. From the excellent service to the unbelievable food and drinks and sitting outside watching the sunset - too wonderful for words. It's worth the cost, you get what you pay for and everything was amazing. Adam was our waiter and was fantastic. He heard me say it was my son's birthday and came out with a beautiful birthday cake surprise without me even asking. Make a reservation and definitely pay the extra fee ($20) to guarantee a seat on the patio if you want to get views of the sunset.

Smoked Salmon Benedict

Views, views, views! What a beautiful restaurant. Elegant, sophisticated, and upscale vibes. Sitting outdoors for brunch with girlfriends, we can see Orange County from the top of the hills. Beautiful! I ordered their Salmon Benedict. While the taste was fully there, the smoked salmon was a bit over cooked. I still thoroughly enjoyed my dish. Their breakfast potatoes are delicious! Cooked perfectly with a nice crisp and flavor. Service was absolutely wonderful. Our server (sorry did not catch the name), was so accommodating and patient with us. We may have stayed a bit later after the bill was already paid, but he did not rush us out. Thank you so much for the wonderful service. Overall enjoyed my visit to Orange Hill today. It was my first time here for brunch, and would come back again. Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Variety of menu options to choose from. Cheers, Orange Hill!

This place was a mix of super fancy and also casual. I felt confused walking up bc some people were dressed in formal outfits and others were in baggy jeans. So I guess I advise you dress for your occasion! I got the prime rib which was really good. The brussel sprouts were also so tasty and the complimentary cornbread was also very good. I got a drink and the total came out to around $100. The view was great and beautiful at night. Parking is valet only, so just keep that in mind before coming!

Gorgeous restaurant inside and out. As soon as you exit your vehicle the stroll to the front door has relaxing streams and a huge fireplace. We checked in at the front in the near empty restaurant and yet had to wait around 10 minutes before seated at a nice booth. I'm not sure why we didn't get a window or patio table in the empty restaurant but our booth was comfortable and still had a view. Brunch menu had a lot of tasty options. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict with a side order of Belgium waffle. Also their Dubai chocolate espresso martini. This breakfast was perfection. I absolutely loved it. One of the best smoked salmon benedicts I have had. Even the side of potatoes and roasted tomatoes were amazing. The waffle tasted like a combination of a churro and funnel cake. Pure heaven. I've never tried the trendy Dubai chocolate bar but my martini captured the essence of what I have seen in pictures. Legit or not it was delicious. My wife had a pineapple cocktail I can't remember the name of that she thought was delicious. My wife ordered the prime rib. The slab was so massive it completely eclipsed the side dishes it was lying on! It was ok. She thought it was bland and the few bites I tried were ok, not something I would order.. It was oddly chewy for prime rib. My wife took most of it home and doctored it up. It came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Our waitress was very friendly when we saw her but she was MIA most of the meal. I had an issue with a few items not matching the price on the menu and didn't notice until after I paid. I let the assistant manager Ray know and he's going to get it fixed. Double check your receipt.

What time does the Mother's Day Brunch end?

What time is brunch on the weekends?

Good evening. Brunch begins at 10:00 on Saturday and Sunday. We offer some fabulous food options from our a la carte menu. We also have bottomless mimosas for $30.00. Reservations can be made online or you can call the restaurant directly at…

What is the "Dine-In" definition? Do ordering the food at at the bar area at Happy Hour considered "Dine-In" ?? I have a coupon $15 off of Dine-in.

Our experience would indicate no. Read the fine print on the coupon. I t most likely reads not valid for Happy Hour. They are looking for customers to "dine in" for lunch or dinner in the dining room.

Does this place charge to bring your own birthday cake? I tried calling them and no luck...

As of December they do not charge. I brought one for my birthday and they even lit the candles I brought! Great service!

Do you have to make reservations?

Reservations are highly recommended. Due to the popularity of the restaurant, it is a very good idea to make a reservation any time you come to Orange Hill. The lounge is first come first serve and you will not need a reservation to enjoy our…

Does Brunch offers dinner menu or only brunch menus?

They only offer the brunch menu during that time

How much is valet?

9 dollars

What is the price range?

Entree's are $25 on up. It's worth it. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Anyone know if all my guests need to arrive at the same time to be seated or can the "on time" people get started with drinks while we wait? I tried calling but line just rings.

We had about 7 guests and they said 6 had to be there in order for us to be seated, but since it was a surprise birthday for one of our guests, they said we could be seated as we arrived. So you would have to confirm with them

Hello. Are we able to bring our own wine bottle? If yes, are we able to.open our own bottle without paying a cork fee? Paying someone to open the bottle for $25, thats crazy!

Yes. We brought a bottle of champagne. We were charged a $35 corkage fee, so the price is pretty high in my opinion.

What is the automated tip amount for a party of 14?

18%

Does anyone know if Orange Hill Restaurant is still open? I've called multiple times the last 3 days, left a phone message and sent an email request for a reservation through their website (I did get email confirmation, but still no response)

Yes, still open. You should try calling right at 4 pm when they open.

What's the current price for valet In 2024?

9 dollars plus tax and they ask for tip LOL

I will be going to dinner next Friday, is there open parking?

Valet parking $9 if you want to self park, you can do it at the bottom of the hill but it's worth it if you have a cake to bring and you're wearing heels

Do they currently have happy hour? what time?

Yes. I believe it's from 4-6.

Is there a kids menu?

Yes there is.

To get the best outside view, Should I come during the day or night?

Personally, it's the night lights that look beautiful from that height. Not to mention the sunsets! Superb!

What is the dinner dress attire like? Is it dressed up or casual?

Smart casual or business casual is appropriate. Later reservations seem more dressed-up, but the most formal attire I've typically seen is cocktail dress, or sport coat with jeans/casual pants. Too casual: shorts of any kind, team logos,…

What are the vegan options?

Keep in mind, this is a restaurant that brands itself as a steakhouse. That being said, their one vegan entree item is delicious:…

Do you all have any sugar free desserts for my diabetic Mom? Cheesecake fac sells cheesecake with splenda.

They unfortunately don't

It's an absolute staple for me. Small Plates to Share: Deviled Eggs: These are a must. They don't skimp on the filling, and that bit of bacon adds the perfect crunch. Jalapeño Poppers: The pairing with raspberry jam is genius, that sweet and spicy combo is honestly mouthwatering. The Drinks: My husband is a huge fan of their Bloody Mary. It's heavily garnished with a bacon-wrapped jalapeño popper and finished with a Tajin rim it's practically a meal in itself. They are also one of the few spots offering bottomless mimosas, which is always a plus. Room for Improvement: While I love the bottomless option, I do wish they would just leave a bottle of champagne at the table. Chasing down a server for every refill makes the experience feel a bit interrupted. Aside from that, I love this place and keep coming back!
