Wow, what a weird, best tasting salad, I'd ever had. Lol. I had gotten The salmon harvest bowl and it came with all this stuff I didn't think would compliment each other but ended up being super good. And before I go into details my waiter was super friendly and was happy to be serving me. The salmon harvest bowl came with apples, berries, a lot of goat cheese which is my favorite, Brussel sprouts, squash or sweet potatoes I can't remember, peppers and almonds. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the skin was crispy just how I like it. The reason why I'm giving it four stars instead of five because nothing else on the menu personally seemed appetizing. Christ, is there ever a market for polished mediocrity in Oregon. I'm not talking about the Wheel O' Landry's concepts that locals use to placate their out-of-town golf dads and easily irked grandpas. At least the Morton's will park his car after he's endured two hours of Wicked with his granddaughter and fetch it when you inevitably have to drive it home after he's had about two Rob Roys too many and called your first suggestion--Higgins--a "dive." No, I'm talking about the Stanfords that aren't quite Stanfords. The places you go when you treat Pumpkin Ridge like church, the Nike employee store like the Plaid Pantry and home brewing like a personality. When you complain that there are "no nice restaurants around here," but don't want to go someplace "ethnic" and can't afford a humidor at the 9900. Nestled in a mall parking lot--because of course it is--this Capital Grille fed through a Lake Oswego filter is built to be... fine. Its menu looks like a club menu, because that's the clientele they aspire to, and the quality and price aims squarely at the middle because, well, that's the reality. You're a few parking spaces away from a Ross and a Buy Buy Baby across the street from a liquor store and a cookie-cutter sex shop... the expectations are set. I wouldn't end up here otherwise, but business beckoned. The burrata among our starters seemed to have taken up residence in the fridge for a while and would've been perfectly acceptable had I brought it home from a Costco. I haven't had a steak in Oregon that's been worth my time, so I skipped right to the wild king salmon, which was the right choice. The stuffed salmon next to me just looked like an insult to the fish, but the preparation on mine gave me some hope that it had been swimming in the recent past. What necessitated a third menu page of countrified Cracker Barrel offerings, I can't tell you, but I'm guessing that even Lake Oswego bankers have Clackamas cousins that come into town every so often for a stompin' and a hollerin'. But the combination of fish tacos, chicken marsala, random pastas (including macaroni and cheese) and Widmer fish and chips made me wonder just how many bland palates this chain was trying to appease. The chef did nothing wrong: The dishes were executed as described and without boil-in-bag components. The wait staff did nothing wrong: Meals arrived promptly, orders were correct, everyone empathized over a noisy table of day drinkers nearby. If you know nothing about Beaverton, aren't particularly adventurous and are stuck at Nike, Columbia, Tek or somewhere else on business, I can see why you might find this appealing. After passing it on literally dozens of occasions with no intention of entering and being forced in, however, I'll just say that it's well-dressed, well-kempt mediocrity, but mediocrity all the same. I can't full-throatedly critique it, but I can't recommend it when Old Town Beaverton, Cedar Mill and even the surrounding Cedar Hills offer so many better options. read more

Came here for a early lunch and was really satisfied with the restaurant ambiance and food. My steak wasn't cooked how I requested BUT it was still really good and seasoned to perfection. The mashed potatoes were green as well. Our waitress kept our glasses full and checked on us at an appropriate frequency. If you're looking for a nice spot to grab lunch that doesn't break the bank, I'd suggest trying it out. Also, the seasonal bacon wrapped prawn appetizer is AMAAAAAAZING!!!! Wow. A very solid option for classic grill dishes. Everything we ordered was of good quality and flavor. The chicken was probably our favorite dish, but it was strong overall. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. We would have liked a little more fruit in the salad, but it was still very tasty. We visited at 7pm on a Saturday, so they were quite busy, but the service wasn't slow, and they were helpful. Would definitely recommend. read more

We came while the indoor area was closed due to COVID, and sat outside in the tent area - which was really pleasant. This week we went and dined inside - had a different experience. First, make a reservation (via Open Table) - because we were mistaken thinking coming in Monday for dinner wouldn't be a big wait (35 minutes). Next, maybe avoid going on Monday all together. The wait staff told me that servers don't typically want to work Monday night so they were *really* short staffed. Meaning: asking for a taste of two wines - 15 minutes Order for appetizer - 20 minutes (blue cheese fries), asked for silverware Order for dinner - 15 minutes after the appetizer came (so 35 minutes after we ordered) ..we both had salads with salmon Had to get silverware from another server Then after dinner came - we were asked whether we had decided on a wine. As far as our meal: the blue cheese fries tasted great, they just weren't that hot, nor the fried crispy (which would have been nice with such a tasty cheese sauce). I had the Caesar salad - with added salmon (grilled instead of blackened), which came out almost cold (the fats had coagulated into that jelly stuff), taste was great - texture a little off-putting. Hubby had the Salmon Power Bowl which he enjoyed - but also said his salmon was almost cold. So - while waiting for dinner, I was thinking it was because they were cooking our salmon fresh. And if the salmon was pre-cooked, I would think the 35 minutes for a salad, is a little excessive - but given the salmon was kind of lukewarm, I think it was cooked fresh, and unfortunately just sat there. So - while friendly, I just can't give the service any kudos. I'm sure they are doing their best in a bad situation, but maybe don't overburden your staff just to pack people inside - if the entire "dinner" experience takes almost an hour to get your food (not including the wait time). I'm all for a nice evening enjoying dinner, but these were salads. We may try again in the future (just not on a Monday) read more

Great evening out with girlfriends to celebrate birthdays and work meeting. It was a Tuesday night and the place was packed. We unfortunately made our reservation at Lake Oswego grill and apologized for our lack of location awareness. No problem. We were able to be seated right away. Great management staff. Zenick our waiter was Awesome. So attentive and friendly with a splash of humor. He had great suggestions for drinks and let us sample a few red wines. Dinner was excellent and we all loved what we ordered. Fresh salads and entrees. Unexpectedly we were presented with two birthday sundaes and a sweet card from the staff for out two birthday gals. My family and I celebrated my 55th birthday day tonight and they treated us great. The waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food all came to the table at the same time hot, everything was cooked to and to perfection. The atmosphere was quiet enough for everyone to communicate with eachother, and most of all the host came by the table and gave me a Happy Birthday card appreciating me for celebrating my birthday with them. Had to get dinner after visiting Columbia Employee Store and this was the most decent choice. Happened to be happy hours when I got there. I had the salmon veggie bowl, it was hearty nourishing meal! Looking at the bottom of the Happy Hour menu - Scratch made ricotta cheese and vanilla donuts rolled in cinnamon sugar dusted with powder sugar serve with house made caramel sauce. Who couldn't resist it? I don't consume a ton of it so I can't really tell comparisons. It was yummy of course, lightly sugared not too overbearing, and you dip it on the sauce, ooh and you're in sweetness heaven lol. It gets busy esp after work hours. Fantastic birthday dinner experience! The food and service were both excellent! Savannah did a wonderful job making sure we were well taken care of and making it a memorable evening with friends! They have a huge selection of food and drinks, everyone was able to get something different. Savannah's appetizer suggestion (Ahi Poke Nachos) was spot on and very tasty. I got the Superfood Salmon Bowl and asked for the blueberry yogurt dressing on the side. A large variety of ingredients were in the bowl and very filling too, with perfectly cooked salmon which was moist and flaky tender. It sounds like reservations are recommended and although walk-ins are accepted, there could be a slight wait for a table. We did have reservations so were seated quickly at our scheduled time in a nice and cozy booth. read more

Of the bunch, the lettuce wraps and donuts were my favorites both in terms of taste and portion size. Fish tacos and steak bites were also good. Soup (some sort of seafood chowder) and power bowl were fine but not particularly memorable (not that they were trying to be!) Even though these were all happy hour dishes, the portions were reasonable. In total, for four people, we ordered nine dishes and were stuffed after. read more

Excited to have a new sit down restaurant in the area. The lounge area was really spacious with an incredible variety of drinks. It's great that happy hour is served throughout the entire restaurant and is not only limited to the lounge. Currently they also have outdoor tent seating for those more comfortable during Covid. The food is delicious! Best appetizer has been the spinach artichoke dip. The scratch made soup of the day Fishermen's Stew had the perfect balance in flavor and absolutely delightful. Wish it was on the main menu to order daily! I believe the highlight of this place is the happy hour. Everything was great and portions were a good size. Needless to say, I have been back to the restaurant 4 times since the first visit. Every visit has been wonderful. Service has been wonderful and the staff have been very accommodating. Luckily, I did not have to make reservations for any of the visits but it would be a good idea as it can get busy at times. read more

This place is open on a Monday. You get one star for that since it's hard to find a place open that day. I wanted something healthy and they had so many options. My grilled salmon power bowl was so fresh and delicious, I would consider it more as a salad but with all the "toppings" it was filling enough with a scoop of quinoa. It was enough for me to have lunch the next day. Love the mix of the lemony dressing with sweet potatoes, nuts, and fruit and the superfoods! My friend was treating me for my birthday and had a bag that said happy birthday. our server Ian was quick to pick up on it and delivered an ice cream sundae to the table without us prompting. It's a cute tradition with the staff signing the card, I had no clue they did that. Ian was super attentive, friendly and brought extra dressing on the side. Oswego was a great choice to treat my wife and I to a nice upscale change of pace from our casual dining on the north coast! Showing up for lunch at 12:30 on a Friday guaranteed a wait however, it was only about 25 minutes and allowed us to chat without normal distractions. Once seated, service for the most part was attentive with menus, water and drinks almost immediate. We both opted for the prime rib sandwich. Hers medium and mine medium rare. Both meals were delivered as ordered with a thick flavorful and tender slab of meat and sided with tasty fries and delicious pickle spear! There was a small downside to our meal besides no beverage refill, the horseradish which lacked any heat or much flavor. It could easily have been straight sour cream. All in all a great lunch at prices that were in line for the excellent quality food. We had three different staff people inquire about our satisfaction. read more

The food was great but the drink was a let down. I order a berry blast and paid a lot for it but all I got was a shots worth. They give you a big cube of ice that makes it look like it's filled. I had an issue with the happy hour rules. Happy hour is only allowed at the bars. That means no minors allowed. Families who want to enjoy appetizers don't go! They don't serve happy hour food either! Which was a let down because that's main reason we went. Overall I wouldn't come back just because of that reason. There are many other restaurants with good drinks at good prices and they don't restrict minors from tagging a long. One of the few places that has outdoor dining on the westside. I'm glad I got a chance to try this location out as it was pretty convenient for me. The cocktails are pretty good - PDX Sour and Oswego Old Fashioned. The spicy mac and cheese was very tasty and had the right amount of cheese on it. The bleu cheese fries were great as they came as waffle fries. The chicken tenders was also good. My friend enjoyed his burger. Decided to stop in and have a late lunch. My coworker and I both agreed that the service was excellent. The Impossible Burger was overcooked and the side salad what is drenched what salad dressing. Stuffed chicken breast was also dressed in sauce maybe it was their attempt to make it more tender. Don't get me wrong food was okay although not the standard that were used to from an Oswego Grill. Our server vanished for quite a while, which was a shame as my husband and sister-in-law would have liked to order more drinks. The food itself ranged from okay to extraordinary. I enjoyed this new restaurant and would return. There aren't many places offering the Impossible Burger so I was glad to see it on the menu. And it was delicious, not over cooked. Especially loved their mustard garlic aioli. The Spinach Artichoke Dip came with tortilla chips and garlic crostini; it didn't last long in our table. The only down side of our experience was the Salt and Pepper Calamari. The batter was thick enough to make it seems soggy. And the pieces were just cubes of the body but I prefer some crispy tentacles. The texture was a little different, it reminded me of eating firm tofu. But other than that, every thing else we ordered was great. We walked in and were sat in less than 5 minutes. The staff was very professional and personable. They all wore masks and filled the restaurant to half capacity. The women's restroom was dimly lit but clean and tidy. Overall, a great experience. Definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

I was in Oregon for over a month to visit someone in the hospital, and usually visit the area once a year. My sister, who lived here, loved Oswego Grill, but she would take us to the one in Lake Oswego. This location in Beaverton, on Cedar Hills was very close to Saint Vincent Hospital, so we came several times during our month stay, to this location, and the one in Wilsonville, as well. Overall, Oswego Grill Restaurant was our favorite restaurant to get dinner. In particular, the Grilled Salmon Power Bowl is outstanding! It was $17.99, and very worth the price! We went to delis and take-out restaurants and paid close to that for much inferior food. This location on Cedar Hills has a cute ambience of brick walls and archways. The booths are very roomy, and can comfortably seat 6 people. Many of them are situated so that you have a lot of privacy, and blocking of noise. There are also some tables that look out to the street, and there is bar seating as well. The reason I gave 3 stars for this location, instead of the 5 stars for other locations was due to the service. One night, because we came many times in the month we were here, and already knew what we would order, we waited for about 25 minutes to get our waiter's attention, to be able to ask for water and bread, and the bread finally came after we finally got our meals, which was about 40 minutes into our arrival. The waiters shoot by the tables, so you hardly see them, and can't stop them, and paid little attention to us. Our water glasses were frequently empty. The waiters seemed to also be bussing the dirty dishes from tables. It took a long time to get our check, and again a long wait for our waiter to pick up our payment. There was a table next to us, with two elderly women, one of whom was having a birthday. There was someone squatting next to them for about 25 minutes, talking to them, getting their names, talking about Bob Farrell of Farrell's ice cream which they serve, as the women knew him. A couple other waiters stopped to chat as well. Meanwhile, we were dying for something to eat, like the bread that never arrived, as dinner was the only meal we were getting each day, since we were advocating in the ICU every day for a month, and couldn't spend much time elsewhere. We did eat at this location several times, since it was closest to the hospital, and traffic was often bad to go further, but the service level at this location is regrettable, on more than one occasion. To get reservations at this location is more difficult than other locations, as it is in a very busy area. We love Oswego Grill's food, ambience, and menu selection. We do hope this location improves on their service level, as we want all to succeed, and be there for the duration. But, if you have options, you might have a better evening out at one of the other locations nearby. read more

Very nice place - good ambiance. Our server, Eric, was perfect. He even taught us that the Caesar salad did not begin in Italy but in Tijuana, Mexico! Who knew? We had the best ever cheeseburger with hot crispy fries, a good Caesar salad, and Westwood Pasta. My only complaint is that the pasta was flavorless, which I reported to them. Pasta is nothing without sauce, butter, cheese or some kind of sauce.. The blackened chicken in the dish, however, was very good. $41.97 plus tip. read more
