We had people who came in after us and got served before us. I finally asked the Manager, "where is our food"? He came back out and said, "it's coming". The fam and I had a late dinner at Outback this weekend. Despite the restaurant looking bus, we didn't really had to wait long; was seated right away. The menu looked about the same from last we visited.  The "add Unlimited Shrimp to an entree" special for $9.99 did catch my Yelp eyes. I had to pounce on that.   We ordered the following: Bloomin Onion (appertizer) Baked Potato Soup 10 Oz Rib Eye Grass-Fed Burger *Added the Unlimited Shrimp for $9.99 Boomerang Cheeseburger Hand-Breaded Shrimp   I gotta say that the Unlimited Shrimp was worth adding to any entree. I got partially full of off eating 4 rounds of those shrimps (you choose from Crispy or Scampi) and the complimentary house bread alone. Now on to my Grass-Fed burger...well, I have had this burger a couple of times before but somehow my burger buns just did not quite taste fresh. My wife had the Rib Eye and she even said how it's abit overcooked and dry. She gave me the rest of her steak to finish and typically with steaks, I can finish it up. Not with this open. The steak also lacked flavor in my opinion. She did however loved her Baked Potato Soup and I agree as well because I had a sample of it....Deee licious. The kids gave 2 thumbs up with theirs, they loved it. We were one, stuffed family. And the best part was, we had so much food leftover to take home. The level of unprofessionalism that I witnessed, from a server Tayla who was not my server (I was sitting at the bar)to the manager, Melissa who instigated making sure that I felt uncomfortable and put forth effort to create a hostile dining experience. I have never been to an establishment where an employee text one of their friends because they see you are with someone they don't like and have that friend come up there. Then proceeded to loudly discuss that the friend was there specifically to make sure my dining experience was So miserable that I was left with no choice, but to ask my bartender to make our meal Togo and close out. First review after multiple visits at this location. What an awesome lunch my wife and I had! We're so full we can hardly walk. We devoured two loaves of their complimentary bread while we waited on our food. Next was the best Chicken Tortilla soup I've ever had. The level of spiciness was perfect for my tastebuds. For the main course, I ordered the steak and lobster. My steak was perfectly cooked just the way I like it (right in between medium and medium well). It was seasoned well too - no need for steak sauce. My wife had the delicious Salmon and Shrimp. The salmon was huge and looked and tasted fresh! After using our gift cards from a prior Yelp event at this Outback location and an additional $4 off lunches, our total bill came out to $.20 cents. Thanks Outback! Excellent service! Seating about a 20 minute wait - so busy. Our Waitress was exceptional, attentive and funny. Prime Rib was quite good. My Rib Eye was awful, grease-gristle-fat. It seems like Outback (different locations) has become our after Church lunch place on Sundays. This past Sunday was our first visit to this Outback location and we were very pleased by the service and the food. For lunch I had their 4 course meal; french onion soup (with bubbling cheese and floating crouton), a blue cheese wedge salad, 6 oz center cut sirloin with asparagus, and a slice of cheese cake for dessert. It was very delicious, but I couldn't hold it all so I took my cheese cake to go which my daughter very much enjoyed. All of that was only $15.99 plus an upcharge for the premium salad and premium side. Service was great. Yes, we left the house yesterday on Black Friday to run errands. We treated ourselves to lunch at Outback in Mandarin, the same that I went to recently for the YelpJax party. We used our $20 gift card and had a great lunch. Found Bloomin Petals on the menu, a smaller version of the Bloomin Onion and better for only 3 people. It was just as tasty as the real thing. All 3 of us had the lunch combo. My daughter had the steak quesadilla with steakhouse mac & cheese. I tried both, delicious! My husband and I both had the Outback burger with cheese, cooked medium. He had the mac and I had the loaded mashed potatoes. (I could have made a meal of just that. Lol) Both burgers were perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was great. Joe, the manager, was on the floor with the servers, helping out and working just as hard. That's a good sign in my opinion. I highly recommend this Outback, its worth the drive. read more

My friend and I came in here after I traveled into town from Las Vegas. When I got there I was by myself and I went in the host was very pleasant got me a seat right away since we didn't have a reservation.. And then it was not even 2 minutes later that the waiter had come and greeted me and got me a beverage . I really enjoy outback I have been coming down to outback for years usually on my birthday so I was really hungry but I didn't want to eat too much. I usually get the small portion of the blooming onion called the pedals but I was bummed that that was not part of the menu any longer So since I was so hungry I decided to get the full dish which my friend did not eat but I was still pretty hungry for that appetizer Yeah. It came out hot and delicious as it usually does and of course the sauces that 1000 islanders great compliment to The Onion rings . I got a salad and my friend for his entree got the prime rib, and I got the filet. My salad was nice and cold creamy with ranch sauce as requested and not too big but it was a nice size dish . Both of our dishes came out piping hot, my friend had a baked potato that was really warm and butter and sour cream melting off on the sides . I got my steak and it was cooked to perfection as medium well. I know for a chef that is not a fun temperature to cook but it was cooked perfectly. I also had a baked potato with just butter and fries and everything was piping hot and it was delicious . Our waiter was great attentive informative and it was a great experience all around. When I see my friend in Jacksonville we will definitely be stopping at this place again read more

I loved my steak house salad and my blackberry sangria but my husbands rib eye steak was disgusting there was so much salt on it and he loves salt that he was gagging on it. We ordered dessert the thunder down under like we always do back home but that wasn't very good compared to the one we get at our hometown Outback. So I guess we won't be going back. Outback for me is similar to Chili's in the way they just have countless menu options but only around 7-10 are actually gems. First the bad; Over rated steak: I got a gift card so I decided to splurge and got the Tomahawk steak cooked medium. I'm apprehensive on getting medium rare at Outback due to a past experience of it being chewy and bland. However in this case, the steak must have rested too long as it was well done when I got it so it became a tough chew in addition to also being rather boring. Another thing I'm less than impressed by is the ribs. (Just like Chili's, I think we need to leave ribs to the BBQ restaurants). Ironically, food other than steak is what makes Outback great for me. So good that the bad only takes off one star. The burgers are fantastic with toasted buns. However you like your burger, they'll make it great. The Bloomin Onion, come on, it's superb. If you hate thick pieces of onion then they even have petals so you just get that addicting crunch the whole time. BUT WAIT, they even released a Bloomin Fried Chicken and the rather newly released Bloomin Shrimp "appetizer" (Order one for yourself and you get a hefty amount of shrimp for fairly cheap). My only minor critique is the dipping sauce was never my favorite part of any of the Bloomin dishes so I was hoping they introduce some new flavors but it's ok. Before the pandemic they had amazing fried shrimp but at least here at this location, the only fried shrimp are the Bloomin and Coconut fried shrimp. So that's a bummer. I miss those little nuggets of greatness. So as I've mentioned, Outback like most chains (ex. Chili's) excels in gimmicky foods (Keep up the good work guys!) and fails at other restaurant's specialties (ex. Ribs). Oh and I guess they're also branching out with their chicken tenders (Tender Shack on Door Dash) so I'll just say they're pretty good if you get them fresh. Verdict for Outback: It's worth waiting 40 minutes for a table. Bonus verdict for Tender Shack: Other places do Chicken tenders better and cheaper (Curse delivery fees). read more

I ordered the limited time espresso butter steak with outback fries and a sweet potato with toppings on the side. Three stars for the food smelling good as the portions were small. I paid $27 for pick up and as pictured that's all the topping I got for a sweat potato. My bread was cold and hard and my steak is lukewarm. Came here today for lunch. My significant other and my daughter and his son. Our server, Haley, was really nice. I ordered a Strawberry Lemonade with a water. He ordered a Sprite and the Blackberry Sangria. The kids got apple juice. I ordered a 6oz center cut sirloin with mixed veggies and baked potato soup. I also added a steamed lobster tail. The kids both had grilled cheese and fresh fruit, which consisted of oranges and strawberries. My significant other got an 8oz sirloin with coconut shrimp, a baked potato, and seasoned rice. Everything was really delicious and definitely filling. I couldn't even finish mine. The food and the server were really great. My steak was cooked to perfection. However, I used the restroom while here and it was messy. The smaller stall had a lot of toilet paper left in it and then there were paper towels on the floor and the sink. All around it was a nice experience. I just hope they clean up a tad bit more in the restrooms in the future. read more

I have been going to this steakhouse for many years so I could be a little prejudice. I always have the sirloin special. It's cooked exactly right everything. Good baked potato and a nice salad. I sit at the bar where everyone knows my name. If you want a drink, I would suggest a Long Island Iced Tea. One will do the trick! There doesn't seem to be a big turn over of staff which I prefer. Hate to train new staff!Being an x server/bartender in my way younger days, I always watch what is going on. This place always seems clean, especially the bathrooms. A good restaurant is a little messy at the end of the night! Especially the kitchen. I don't recall every waiting too long for my food. Now you will, as in ANY restaurant, encounter a rude employee once in awhile. Simpley say, "I am so sorry you are having a bad day. Maddy had her usual VODKA cocktail with three olives, and then came the Rib Eye really rare baked potato fully loaded. Mine was their cheesebugher. With tomato lettuce and blooming onion flakes whew was some kind of Burgher with a major large amount of fries. No way I was going to eat all of it. Maddy did her to go for the steak and potato. Come on everybody knows Outback....it's a steak house that consistently makes pretty good food. It's not exciting food, but it's a higher quality then most chain restaurants (imo) They prep their food everyday and try to stay on the fresh side. I usually get the same thing small sirloin with loaded baked potato with a salad it's very good and happy with it being around $11/12. This location has been here forever and gets pretty busy so I would avoid prime eatin times! read more

I have always been a fan of Outback. Of all of the chain restaurants, they have remained one of my top favorites and continued to be consistent. This Outback is located off of San Jose Blvd and sit directly in front of San Jose and beside a tiny little pond. Every time we come we always see the ducks walking around the parking lot which I think is adorable and the kids in the parking lot always seem to enjoy walking them as well. This location has indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating has a thin fenced wrapped almost all of the way around. Inside they're are booth style seats that you can sit and wait if they have a reservation list going. They have a bar with bar top seating to the immediate right (this is also where the bathrooms are located). The restaurant has booths and tables. We typically get sat in a booth. The hostess sits you at your seat with the restaurant menu as well as appetizer, entrée and dessert specials. The table usually has a list of the drinks as well. I always get the Outback Sirloin Special which up until recently was $9.99, this including a 6 oz. Sirloin cooked to your liking, and two sides. I love the loaded baked potatoes (cheese, bacon, sour cream and butter) and their house salad with Ranch dressing. The dressing is made in house and it has remained the same over the years (delicious) their croutons are also very good :) Before each other a small loaf of bread with bread is brought to the table. The bread has also remained the same except I believe it has shrunk over the years.. haha. I have not ever tried any of their alcoholic beverages but their martini's look incredible! The cocktails all seem to be little works of art, with adorned rims and colorful insides. The service is typically consistent, nice and informative but maybe a little busy. So last night we ventured out into Stage 1 "Open Florida back up!" Covid 19 restaurant world! Not a stranger to Outback. However, it was a little strange going mask-less in public, especially while the servers were masked! Couldnt figure out how to eat with a face mask though! At only 25% capacity, the occupied tables were few...and consequently, the noise level was low (yay!) We had a great server, very helpful and personable. I think the entire staff was still getting accustomed to the new health procedures (no salt & pepper shakers or sweeteners on the table, etc. You have to ask for them); as well as the new limited menu. The Outback menu was always a big book, same as many other dining establishments. The post-Covid menu is printed on both sides of a plain piece of paper. (Does this mean that old Menus will soon become obsolete, and therefore collectible?!) The new Outback menu is also limited! For example, my favorite Aussie dish has always been Alice Springs Chicken. I've probably only strayed a handful of times from it-most recently with the Alice Springs Chicken Quesadilla appetizer. Well, that quesadilla is no longer a menu item. Daniel wanted asparagus as a side-no longer available. In fact, the only vegetable offered was broccoli. A little disappointing. I ordered Diet Coke, which tasted much like regular Coke. I asked our server about it and he said it was definitely from the Diet dispenser. I just couldn't handle it, too sweet. So I opted for an unsweet iced tea instead. We chose the Kookaburra wings as a starter. Neither of us had experienced them before. They were lightly breaded and fried. I could not identify the seasonings involved, but the wings were tasty enough and served VERY hot! Not a bad thing. But they were very small. Some of the smallest chicken wings I've had anywhere. Quite a bit of grisly parts too. For our entrees, I ordered the 12 oz Ribeye with baked potato and house salad, along with an added lobster tail. Daniel chose the prime rib with salad and sweet potato, plus a crab cake. I rarely order steak out, because it seems that steak cooked in someone's back yard on a grill is always better! But I gave it a shot. Ribeye is my choice cut. Outback did a good job, but it was a tad salty and I did end up with some bites that just couldn't be chewed into anything I could actually swallow without choking. Daniel enjoyed his Prime Rib and I had a couple of bites myself. Again, one piece I couldn't handle, too tough. The lobster tail and crab cake were okay. Hey after being unable to sit down in a restaurant for over a month, we were probably going to be happy with just about anything! But truly, I've had better. Both tasted a little "fishy" if you will. My last few trips to Outback I felt that the warm brown bread offered upon arrival just wasn't the same as it used to be. Bland and lacking flavor and texture. Last night was the same. I really only ate some because I was starving. I want to thank Outback for being so gracious and working through the "new normal". I know many employees have been without a job for a while; and even though they are working now, there are 75% less guests-so undoubtedly, less tips! I wish I could say that the food quality and value were excellent last night...unfortunately, Outback missed the mark. Outback has been a staple for many of us over the years. For special occasions, or just for a really good meal. I'm sure we will be back at some point, but right now, there are other places to explore. Dine safely everyone! read more

This Outback has served the area for 30 years!.. What a pleasure to meet Joe Bates and his awesome team who keep the excellence in service. It was such a great to sample menu items that will appear to the public next week. Here is the preview....must try...the AUSSIE BLOOM! Imagine a blooming onion topped with cubes of Outback Center-Cut Sirloin,cheese fries,and green onions. A meal in it self. It was enough to feed four adults with leftovers. This was followed with the ultimate Great Barrier combo. A skewer of well seasoned shrimp and the crab cake was better than most seafood restaurants crab cakes. I am not a beer person however I was very impressed with the flight of beers each with a different taste. I never knew beers could have a different taste oh well. read more

Just want to sing the praises of our server, Alyssa. Not only did she do a phenomenal job, but she had great smile and fantastic attitude. We were seated at one of those cold, windy, under the vent booths, and when we asked if there were anything she could do, she talked to the manager and took care of the problem immediately. Was not happy with this restaurant tonight. I ordered a sirloin steak to be cooked medium but it came out rare. I sent it back and asked for it to be cooked a little longer. It took forever for them to bring back my steak, and when they did, it was well done. Not at all happy with the kitchen staff and their performance tonight as they also messed up my friends order. He ordered a salad with fried chicken and got grilled. This also took a very long time to fix. Kate, our server, was very friendly and helpful when making everything right. Management took our appetizer and my meal off the bill thankfully, but wish it wouldn't have come to that. read more
