Outback is a solid franchise that delivers consistent food quality anywhere you go. I ate there again last night. The Outback now has new menu selections for healthy eating. Their vegetables are slightly steamed and delicious. I particularly recommend the fish dishes and the seared salmon can't be beat. If you stay away from the Bloomin' Onion and the bread and butter, you can now leave Outback feeling like you have had a healthy meal, low in fat, carbs and calories for a reasonable and fair price. Outback has my vote for one of the highest quality franchises in America. read more

Fairly disappointing visit today. Being from NYC, I usually don't frequent the chain restaurants. Am vacationing in Jax this week, so thought I'd give it a try anyhow. 1 star for cleanliness. Nasty nasty windowsills looked they've NEVER been wiped down. We were visited twice by spiders from under the table. There just had to be a web under there. Something easily solved by running a simple broom every once on a while. 3 stars for the food and service. The sirloin was cooked properly but very thick and difficult to cut. Only a filet should be that thick, not a sirloin. The waiter was nice enough, but not that good. Everything he said sounded like it was rehearsed directly out of a training manual...no individuality at all. The mgr came by once, and the rest of the staff was pleasant but nothing memorable. It has been years since I have been to an Outback but had a gift card so we decided to go. It was still just as crowded as I remembered but we got a table in the bar area. Our server was quick to come over and give us some of their famous bread that I ate most of myself! I ordered the sirloin which had ok flavor but I typically like more of a charbroil taste. None the less it was still cooked just like I asked so I can't complain. I also chose a loaded baked potato and the seasonal veggies. The seasonal veggies were dowsed in butter/oil and really didn't have much flavor at all. I would have liked at least some salt and pepper that I ended up added myself. The service was very good that night we were there. Although he had most tables at the bar he was still very attentive and prompt. And even when our food was taking a little longer than expected, he was constantly updating us on the status. This is not my favorite spot but for not going here in a few years, it was not a bad date night! read more

I ordered curbside online and it said the order would be ready between 7:15 and 7:20. Didn't get my food until 7:45. I understand things get busy. They bring out my order and the bag is real light so look inside and it's just 2 salads and a kids meal. About 2 minutes later someone comes outside with our other bag but looking confused until I explain that we are missing part of the order. Take it I only live 2 minutes away. I get home and the food is on the cold side. For the extra wait time the food should of been piping hot. I believe my food had been ready and they forgot or didn't care. I got the text at 7:15 saying my order is almost ready, but to come out 30 minutes later and cold is unacceptable. I will not visit them again. read more

Because I love the Outback so much I keep going back hoping that previous experiences have simply been an off night. I believe this was a bad experience because our waiter was not paying attention to us. They sat my wife and I in his section where he was waiting on a party of more than 10 people. Zach our waiter gave us little attention and messed up the whole order. So we had an appetizer and my wife had her dinner because mine he could not get right to save his life. This is the second time where they have messed up my order and I left hungry. I do not believe between the waiter and the cooks they have a clue what a filet is. This is one of my least favorite chains, but I was using my coupon from the Yelp event. Lol. Some of the food is very good, while other things are so salty and not cooked that they are nearly inedible. The server was super nice, but extremely slow (and it was about 1:30 on a Friday.) Outback is a consistent place for meat and potatoes and this location didn't disappoint us. Although they were exceptionally busy due to a promotion AND the recent closing of the other location, they were accurate at the time quoted to be seated and that continued throughout our visit. Our service was on point and the manager took the time to check in with guests. Our steaks were as we ordered so that was good because as I mentioned, they were slammed. My sirloin was a little tougher than usual but we managed. My son's burger was large and juicy, he was pleased. We left no room for dessert but the menu looked delicious. Our first visit here was phenomenal, our waiter was very attentive & the food was amazing. It made us want to come the second time, and we did! We love Outback for their steaks, they never disappoint. We ordered the volcano shrimp for appetizers, and my goodness it was so good that it was gone within seconds! Highly recommend! My husband ordered his usual steak dinner while I tried out their new steak quesadilla. Honestly, I wasn't a big fan of it... it actually made me lose my appetite. Our waiter Sanders was helpful & prompt, he even asked if I wanted something else instead but I didn't want anything else after that. However my husband loved his meal! The manager, Chris, came to our table & personally apologized for my entree and asked if they could compensate in any way they can. If there's one thing you shouldn't skip is dessert - we ordered the Smores Cookie & it was probably the best dessert we've ever had. The marshmallow was literally the cherry on top! Mm mm good! I love steak, especially prime rib which is what I was craving. I haven't been to Outback in several years. I was expecting a 3 star experience because that's how many stars they had on yelp. But that's not what I got. It was a 5 star experience. Tony, who was my waiter did an outstanding job. I came in alone and sat in the bar area. Tony made me feel comfortable as soon as I sat down. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He anticipated all my needs. Right on point. Arlington Outback is lucky to have a great employee like him. The food was excellent. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Both the loaded sweet potato and broccoli came hot and delicious. I couldn't ask for anything better. I've eaten at some of the best steak houses in the country and this place held its own compared to them. I will surely be back! read more

Decided to take my mother out for a dinner date and I did not leave here very pleased. When our entrees arrived at the table the steak was completely raw and the baked potato was hard as a rock. We let the waitress know and she apologized and took our food. When she brought the steak back to the table it was not a brand new steak it was the one from before they just through it on the grill again. Very disappointing. My significant other and I went to have dinner at the above location last night. Our experience there was one that we feel that we had to comment on. Of course, walking in, the team gives the nice welcome and seated us very quickly. Upon getting into the booth, I immediately recognized that the seat of the booth was still wet from the wipe down. The waitress, Marissa, was coming to offer drinks, when I expressed to her that the seat was wet. She was very quick to offer to wipe it down for me. I told her that I would be more than happy to fo it, if she didn't mind replacing my napkin. When she returned, her manager, Ashley came with her to apologize for the wet booth, and offered us a free drink. I have to be honest, we were not expecting that at all. We were hesitant, but we of course accepted as she did not want to take no for the answer as she wanted our experience to be a good one. Marissa was very busy, but found the time to check on us frequently. In taking our order, I orginally was going to try the new special with the lobster mac. I asked her if it was good, and she said it was great, but pointed out that there were jalapenos in the mix. I was very grateful that she told me this, because I cannot eat jalapenos as they do not agree with me at all. I changed my order the to ribeye. She offered the new wood fire grill or the flat top. She stated as the wood fire grill was a newer process and that the cooks were still trying to work out the kinks that I might want to stick with the flat top, in which I agreed. When the food came out, it looked amazing. However, when I took my first bite of my steak, it tasted as if I was biting into a bottle of seasoning salt! I thought maybe I was being too sensitive to the flavor, so I cut a very small piece for Shawn (who hates steak but loves seasoning), and he also thought the same thing. Mind you, the piece I cut for him was smaller than the tip of my pinky. Unfortunately, his burger was not cooked as we asked as he asked for a hockey puck, but it came out still pick on the ends. Marissa came back to me, in which we begged her not to tell her manager because we didn't want her to feel that we were being "that customer", but I wanted to at least tell Marissa about the steak. She told me that she would put on a new steak, but at that time, I was ok with what I had eaten of the baked potato and broccoli. She still took it and had them re-do it on the wood fire grill this time. We told her that it was not necessary, but she felt that it was. Shawn opted not to tell her about the burger as he did not want your team to truly hate us, and he commented that the burger would finish cooking in the microwave tomorrow for leftover lunch. :-) Please accept my apology for not knowing the name of the next manager that came out with the new steak, but she too was very apologetic. I actually thought that she was a waitress helping Marissa out until we requested to see the manager in the end to thank them for our experience. I want to say that the 2 managers, Ashley and the young lady with the teal shirt (Sorry about the name) and the waitress, Marissa were very professional last night. Shawn and I felt that we were being "that customer" that may be banned after our experience, in which we never wanted them to feel that way! We felt so bad that we had the issues, and that the team had to deal with us. All three were quick to say how much they appreciated us for allowing them to correct each situation. There are so many times that you hear the negative, but I feel that the positive should also be heard as well. We will go back because of them! read more

We called in here for a light lunch and found it a quiet and relaxing place. The staff were very attentive and food came out quickly and was hot. I had the French Onion Soup and totally loved it - wonderful beefy onion flavor and the cheese topped French Bread on top was perfect. I followed this with some wonderful coconut shrimp and they were delicious. Hubby had a French Dip Sandwich, the meat was beautifully tender and he said the flavor was awesome. The food has gone down hill..absolutely awful. I ordered curbside takeout..got the volcano shrimp and alice springs quesadilla. Whatever you do DO NOT order the volcano shrimp! This looked and tasted like something out of the frozen section from a gortons fisherman box..Captain D's could have done better! The quesadilla's are usually thick and full of chicken, this was literally all bread! Definately not the outback I used to know. We had a miserable dining experience. This will be our last visit. Service was super slow. Waited a LONG time for food. When it arrived, chicken was raw & bloody. Pasta was lukewarm at best ( although server cautioned to beware of scalding hot dish)! Chicken was sent back. Waited a LONG time again. Finally brought new chicken, barely done. Too tired & too late to send back. No compensation offered for their health code violations of under cooked chicken. No compensation for the horrible service. We ate at this location last night, in the dining room. The place was clean, the staff were all friendly, our food was better than we expected, and the manager made his rounds checking that everything was satisfactory. The highlight of our night was our waitress (Reagan, I think her name is). She had all of those "untrainable skills" so many people in the service industry lack. She gave us all our options as we ordered, kept us current on the preparation of our meals, came to the table regularly, but mainly, she was genuinely friendly (not overly!), and smiled an un-practiced smile throughout. I was please with the food. But something was upsetting my grandmother. She wasn't happy about something and I didn't know why until we were walking out the door and she had a chat with the lady up at the front. Well out waiter forgot my birthday dessert thing. We continuously try to give this location a chance to improve but they don't change...I'm not sure if it's a management issue or the service but the time it takes from ordering to getting the food on the table is outrageous. This has happened numerous times and their excuse every time is "we were having issues with our tickets coming into the kitchen" or "computer problems". After being seated near the kitchen entrance and given some time to make our dinner choices we were told that neither of our dinner choices were available. How do you run a steak house and you don't have rib eye or prime rib available at 5pm and why wouldn't your server let you know this before you started reading the menu? After serving our salads the server left the tray and stand at the edge of our table for the next 15 minutes. The kitchen was playing their music so load that it was difficult to hear anything else. Both of our steaks were cooked incorrectly, the medium rare was rare and the medium was well. It was so cold in the restaurant that the staff was setting up portable heaters to try and help. My husband and I went in for lunch. We were sat immediately, but waited at the table for 20 mins and no one came to take our drink orders. 3 servers passed our table and saw our menus open, and no one stopped and said anything to us. I had enough time to download, install, and write this review and still no one came by. I usuall love outback but this is beyond ridiculous. A server even took another groups order and they came in after us. Then another server started fiddling with one of the fans near our table.. it was a completely awful experience. read more
