Unbelievably terrible service. I order a small meal for 4 people to go. I was told it would be 25-35 minutes. Instead, I had to wait over an hour for my meal on a slow night. All I ordered was 1 lb shrimp, corndog, and chicken nuggets. How could that possibly take an hour? Especially with 1/4 of the restaurant full. After all that, they forgot the cocktail sauce I ordered and gave us no ketchup or sauce for the nuggets or corndog. Nobody in the entire restaurant seemed to care one bit about the customers. read more

Let me start by saying the service was outstanding! We had Jamie as our server and she was super attentive with all of us. Made sure to go over our food selections and asked everyone at the table if we had any questions regarding our orders. Now, We're used to saucy seafood with garlic cajun butter from HTX where we call home. We ordered (2) orders of the 1lb. head off shrimp with an add on of sausage; the orders came with corn and potato. (Saucy, buttery, garlicky, with old bay seasoning) We also tried the fried catfish (Very fishy), but okay. The sweet potato tots were my favorite, these came with a yummy dipping sauce. Buffalo wings were also good, according to our teen. Little kids had chicken nuggets basket & corn dog baskets. Kids ate all of their food so that says more than enough. Everything was super hot and fresh. Busy, but worth the wait. Staff moved rather quickly. Different sports playing on screens. Family friendly! We tried the new Outcast Seafood Destin location. Wife and mother-in-law got the big O and I got snow crab. The big O was way more food than they could eat, and I barely got done with my snow crab. Spices were on point food was excellent. We had a little bit of a wait, but with the quality of the food, it was well worth it! Christmas Day in Destin. My wife and I were hungry and desperate. Outcast Seafood was open and we went in. Laura and Kaileigh were working and they were both extremely pleasant, efficient and eager to make our experience one to remember. They did this very well. The food was good and came out hot and fresh. My wife had the catfish basket and I had the shrimp basket. They were both very good. Really delicious!!!! I was so surprised by the great flavor of the boil. We got a lb. of crab and a lb. of mussels and got the spicy sauce. It was awesome. This is a laid back family friendly environment with a bar and a cooking school. The staff is very attentive and helpful. I ordered the pound of shrimp boil with potatoes, sausage and corn. My friends ordered sweet potato tots, corn dog, calamari and catfish. All good. The only thing I thought was odd was one of the cooks was in the kitchen (you can see everything back there) going live on TikTok. The bathroom was okay and the parking was ample. The food was 10/10. Had the grouper basket. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was average for what you'd expect sitting at the bar. Had to ask for my water twice. She was swamped though. So that's ok. I dinged them two stars because of the heat. If the food hadn't smelled so good I'd have left. I was told the ac "freezes up" which means they cheaped out (restaurant or landlord) and didn't get an ac that has a reverse circuit for keeping the coils from freezing up. Would have been 4.5 stars. But gets a 3, simply because of the miserable heat. Also. 90 minute wait for a table. They can't help that. But definitely plan ahead. read more

Unfortunately this was our worst restaurant experience in Destin. Disclaimer: we did not order from their seafood boil menu which is probably what they are known for. We ordered from their "fried menu" and the calamari was horrible. Over seasoned and very salty. The pork rinds were no better. Full of air and seasoned with same stuff. The fried shrimp was good enough. The catfish basket was just okay. They did not have the grouper basket or wings available that night. Summary, do not order the calamari or pork rinds. read more

When we finally sat down they gave us a rundown on the prices for everything and even gave us a complimentary appetizer, the pork rinds which were good. I ordered the 1lb of shrimp and snow crabs legs with potatoes and corn. The portion for this meal was great. I ate this for lunch another day. I live in Louisiana and this was the freshest tasting crab legs and shrimp I've ever had. The crabs were a great size I mean I can't even believe it was just a 1lb. I'm trying to remember if I ordered 2lbs or not. Lots of shrimp with the meal and a decent price! The corn was not as good. I also ordered extra eggs. I loved the sauce. It was a bit salty.I wish they would let you do different spice levels levels with this. They only offered spicy or not spicy. I had to do no spice since I was sharing with my son. My sister had the wings she said they weren't so good but I didn't try so I have no clue. Came upon this place while driving towards my hotel that was a few minutes away from the beach & it did not disappoint. We were seated right away & the server took our drink order and went over the menu. I ordered their most popular seafood tray which included a little bit of everything. It was perfect to split between two people and I also had leftovers to bring home. The food was super flavorful & spicy just how I like it. Wow - stupid good! I love mussels and eat them everywhere I go around the world. These were some of the plumpest and freshest - and the sauce, OMG! Go ahead and pay extra for the bread (doesn't come with it) because you will want every ounce of the sauce! Husband ordered head off boiled shrimp and also loved the freshness and the sauce. The potatoes and corn are cooked in the same sauce and are perfect! They have a good variety of beers and the restaurant is clean and inviting. We did not get the 'Big O'. That was a mistake. The table next to us, obviously experienced Outcast diners, did get it and I had major envy. We will be back and we will get it next time. We came in based on the amazing reviews. This was such a good decision. We were greeted and quickly seated by Jesss. She asked if we had come in before and when she found out we had not been there before she explained how things worked. There is a board with the market price for the proteins: shrimp, crab, etc. There is not a full bar but they do have beer and wine. Once she took our drink orders, Jesss also offered us a free sample of the pork rinds. They came out hot and perfectly seasoned. I wouldn't have ordered them but man were they tasty. The place itself is not big. There is seating at the bar and probably fewer than ten tables. We came at lunch and we did not have to wait for a table. Several tables were ordering boils with shrimp or crab. They all seemed to be digging in and thoroughly enjoying what they were eating. My husband and I both ordered the fried shrimp and ordered an order of Cajun fries to share. The shrimp were large and fresh and I loved that they were not heavily breaded. Everything was piping hot. She also brought cocktail and tartar sauce. I definitely would recommend this place. The food was amazing. The service was great and we had a wonderful lunch. We came here while in Destin for a bachelorette trip. My friend wanted fresh seafood while we were there, and I found that Outcast Seafood was highly rated on Yelp, so we went! We were a big group of 9 girls. They don't take reservations, but we arrived a little before 6pm on a Friday and were seated right away. The servers were all friendly and attentive. They give out free pork rinds to every table (I don't eat pork, but heard they were good). The prices vary widely based on what you order. For example, a half-pound shrimp boil is around $15, while a seafood tower is almost $100. The market price for a pound of crab was around $40-$50. You can choose what level of spice you want for your sauce, and a couple of friends got plain melted butter on the side. I would say the food and service were solid! Just came down from Kansas City Missouri. I wanted to try some fresh seafood boil. Corey and the guys did a great job. Tried a new great beer called Hooter Brown, local brewery. We got a pound of shrimp, corn, potatoes, and sausage, along with portobello mushroom in that boil. I requested hot, it was fantastic. Highly recommend these guys.
