Our server took care of our party of 8-4 kids and 4 adults--masterfully, never getting flustered by my screaming toddler or our many and varied requests. Great job to him. Also the kids meals are served on a frisbee you can take home--a fun little souvenir. Like I said, this place is a classic and a must go at least once while in the area. Had an amber on draft and it was also crisp, hard to have a bad beer near the beach.

The burrito was okay, but it probably should not have had guacamole in it. Once again, the flavors just did not work well together. Speaking of the guacamole, the chips were so paper thin they could not even hold up to scooping it. Again, mid. The service was disappointing too. There were no food runners, so our food was barely warm by the time it reached the table. Our server said no to two easy requests that would have added more to the bill. He had too many tables as well. The restaurant itself was clean and looked nice, and the prices were reasonable. In ending, the salsa was weak, and that was the first sign this meal was going to be disappointing. Needless to say, I would not come back even if the meal were free, and that says everything.

Service was fine. Ambiance was good. Really nice and clean restaurant. Menu is really small. We wanted a boil. We researched places to go. We eat them where ever we go. They have no boil with crab legs and shrimp and muscles or clams with sausage and corn and potatoes. It was pick 1 protein like crab legs and it comes with sausage and 1 corn and 1 potato. $60. I added 1/2 lb of shrimp. Came out in an aluminum pan. 2 small clusters. Had the extra shrimp I ordered. 1 corn. 1 potato and something they call sausage and it was all caked and smothered in a grimy pasty seasoning. I hated it. The sausage was weird. Everything tasted the same. Couldn't even taste the crab. Ate one leg. 1 shrimp and 1 sausage and 1 bite of corn. My 12 yr old son didn't like it either but got most of it down. Definitely the worst boil we ever had. It's really hard to explain how bad it was. Final bill $83. 2 of us. Only one ate. After he took our drink order we almost left. Regretted not leaving when the food came. Left there and went to Panda Express and had a second dinner. read more

Brand new place in Miramar Beach. Locally owned and operated. Atmosphere very cool, good vibe. Staff is competent and friendly. The standout here is the food. Great concept, nothing bad on the menu. My wife and I snacked on the red beans and rice, wings and sweet potato tots. Definitely recommend the double Old Bay wings! For mains we had the snow crab legs and head on shrimp, both prepared in the Outcast signature sauce. Absolutely spectacular and almost more food than we could eat! Prices are very fair and we definitely feel like we got (maybe more) what we paid for. We have to go back just to try more menu items! read more

My wife and I dine out regularly, but for whatever reason had never tried Outcast Seafood. Frankly I thought it was a franchise of a large chain, and just didn't feel it necessary to try it. Imagine my surprise when we stopped in yesterday to find out that it's a privately owned, local, one of a kind seafood joint. We had the red beans and rice, and the shrimp (one hot, one not); and everything was delicious. Pricing is very fair, especially for our area, and the service (from Dillon and Rachel) was outstanding. Highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for seafood. read more

If you are visiting Destin from Louisiana and you want perfect Red Beans and Rice made from scratch every day this is your place. Fried Catfish Bites are also top notch! Great atmosphere cool concepts, they season-boil shrimp head on, again, an authentic Southern Louisiana thing. They also boil headless shrimp for the Democrats who can't handle head on shrimp. We tried the new Outcast Seafood Destin location. Wife and mother-in-law got the big O and I got snow crab. The big O was way more food than they could eat, and I barely got done with my snow crab. Spices were on point food was excellent. We had a little bit of a wait, but with the quality of the food, it was well worth it! We had a great experience at Outcast Seafood! The food was excellent and the lunch specials were a great value. Our waitress did an amazing job--she was the only server working and still managed to take care of the entire restaurant, including two large parties, without missing a beat. The jalapeño poppers were tasty (though, being from South Texas, we're used to a little more spice--but that's just preference). I went with the spicy lunch combo and it was absolutely delicious. Best seafood we had on our vacation! Staff was awesome, food was even better. I highly recommend the black mussels and the shrimp. Corn, potatoes and sausage were very good as well. It made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable instead of stressful trying to coordinate seating. The ambiance was definitely a highlight. We were there right around sunset and were able to step out onto the patio to watch it, which was absolutely beautiful. Between the view, the relaxed atmosphere, and how friendly and welcoming the staff was, it felt like such a perfect spot to unwind. We would definitely come back again and would love to try the food next time.

The fish itself was decent quality, but the breading was heavy, bland, and overwhelmed the redfish. The curly fries were unique, but they left both of us feeling greasy and weighed down afterward. Service was mixed. The hostesses were friendly and welcoming, and our server was pleasant as well, though it felt like there was a strong push to upsell throughout the meal. In the end, two cups of gumbo, one fried fish basket to share, and our total came to $85 including taxes and tip. Considering the quality of the fried basket, the value just wasn't there. If the fish basket alone was around $50, that price is hard to justify. It felt more like a money grab aimed at visitors than a restaurant focused on earning repeat local customers.
