So stopped here on my way back from the NY Auto show and I was HUNGRY! I mean, when am I not?? lol I ordered the fish and chips and an espresso martini. The bartender was friendly and patient. My drink was very good. The food was hot and delicious. The atmosphere was giving upscale pub, but a nice tolerable vibe. Talking made easy (no shouting over music). Nice chill after work atmosphere. Also thanks to Louis (the bartender) for being so nice and personable.

Stopped in to PJ Clarke's on an incredibly busy Saturday (World Cup, Knicks final, Mets game) as we were traveling back through Penn Station. We got a spot right at the oyster bar. Louis helped us pick the freshest oysters. It was my husband's birthday and he gave us a couple shrimp complimentary. Clean bathrooms and so happy we stopped in. Louis was great. Will return next time in the city.

Went to this place for a group dinner for their first full night opening. The service was great and the servers were friendly and fun. The vibe is a pub-type bar, loud, lively, bright colors, and crowded. That was all fine. But the food is VERY mediocre. We started with the crispy long island oysters, tuna tartare tacos, bread with honey butter, and crab claws. All very mediocre, lacked flavor, and overall just ho hum. The crispy oysters had so much breading that you couldn't taste the oysters. The bread tasted like it was from a supermarket, the honey butter was just regular butter with honey poured on top, and the crab was flavorless. I hoped for better with the main course. I ordered a lobster roll, Conneticut style, and thought I'd get a good lobster roll given they do a lot of seafood. It was the most flavorless lobster roll I've ever eaten. People at our table who ordered different things were asking if they had salt becausebl of how bland everything was. The best part was dessert. We got the bread pudding which looked dense and dry but was quite good, not overly sweet, well cooked and tasty. But all in all, don't come here if you want good food. A good place for you to grab some drinks with friends and then eat somewhere better, which shouldn't be too hard to find given it's New York.

Great addition to the neighborhood but always packed! Good luck walking in so try to make a reservation. Oysters are fantastic. Burger is pretty good also as is the salad with salmon.

Woohoo first to review! P.J. Clarke's Oyster Bar & Grill (aka P.J. Clarke's Midtown West) has FINALLY opened. At long last, a decent bar in the area -- Hudson Yards is slowly getting better! This P.J. Clarke's has been in the works for over a year now and my colleagues and I eagerly kept watch on when it would open. That day (today) has arrived. In general my favorite food things to order at PJ Clark's are the burgers. For lunch we got an order to go of the trio mini burgers and the Caesar salad. Both were made fresh and delicious. I love a good Caesar salad. True they are a little pricey for a casual lunch but if you want great quality, doesn't hurt to splurge a little. And then because we love a good thing, we went after work for drinks to really soak in the new space. I got my usual Old Fashioned! The layout is so spacious with a rectangle bar and specific oyster shucking area. In the back is a separated dining area in case you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the bar crowd. Oh and the service was wonderful. Everyone greeted me with such kindness and warmth, and I saw that the managers were going around and asking everyone how they're enjoying their beverage or food, etc. Shout out to Julie who was super friendly! Bartenders were great too. Such a welcome addition to the hood! This will definitely become one of our new favorite haunts.

The hostess was friendly and chatty while we waited for our table. The host who led us to our table was also quite polite and hung up our jackets. They treated us like refined guests. Definitely caters to the more corporate crowd, most clients seemed to have come from work. The bar is pretty spacious. Really liked the appetizers. It was nice that the zucchini chips came with tzatziki sauce. The cheesesteak egg rolls are definitely a hit. Be warned the sauce is spicy.

Absolutely wonderfulll after work date night. My dream American spot -- good lighting and vibes, delish oysters and burgers & an ice cold dirty martini! The service is so friendly and kind. 10/10 def come here!

We ordered for delivery two of their lobster rolls on a special though the regular price was priced right. It was the best lobster roll I have ever eaten whether in NY or Maine. The very large portion of meat was fresh, very tasty, and came on a delicious bun. Unlike other lobster rolls that add fillers or seasonings that cover up the true sweet lobster taste, their lobster meat was a true gem of perfection with minimal seasoning and mayonnaise. I will definitely order again very soon!

Got lunch on a Friday at Hudson Yards and after wandering through a few spots, we ended up choosing P.J. Clarke's Hudson Yards, which had actually just opened that day. There were four of us, and we were seated immediately. The restaurant is spacious, there's a huge bar area, plus multiple dining rooms. Most of our group ordered cocktails, and the drink list was extensive with plenty of interesting options. The menu has several burgers, from the classic to the "Bartender's Burger," which comes with smoked bacon, mushroom confit, Asiago cheese, and their special sauce. It includes fries and is priced at $25. The portion was a good size, not massive, but between the burger and fries, it was definitely filling. Our waitress was friendly, upbeat, and attentive. Overall, it's a great stop if you're craving a burger in the area, though both the menu and drinks are on the pricier side, which is expected for Hudson Yards.

    Chicken Pot Pie

Nice old school restaurant with decent service. Waiter seemed overwhelmed with few tables but was pleasant. I had the pot pie that had a glistening crust, tasty vegetables and good amount of chicken. Unfortunately sauce was bland for my taste but still tasty. Host was pleasant as we came in and staff seemed friendly and guests with me raved about their burgers and Cesar salad. Hence 4 and not 5 stars. Will give another try

My friend and I came to PJ Clarke's to watch the Knicks in the NBA Finals, and despite the…read moredisappointing outcome of the game, we had a great night. We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

He was constantly busy zippin around but maintained a nice demeanor and made everyone feel welcome! Must orders of mine: the burger! Although small, it comes out piping hot and the fresh white onion between the bottom bun and burger is awesome because it doesn't make the bottom bun soggy and catches all the juices from the actual meat. Love subbing the fries for a Caesar salad! Standout appetizer is the fried zucchini and eggplant with tzatziki-- crispy, hot, juicy and I get it every time!

Also, an obvious side note- You wonder how a place that's been open for, I believe, a year and a half has 1500 Google Reviews? It's because they give you a free soda if you write a 5-star review, so I guess if you have a palate for Polar sodas, you can give them a five on that site. If you're going to get anything, go for the tender combo, as their sliders, burgers, and buns are bad. Anyway, it's nice to find a Zabiha Halal spot that serves burgers and other American grub in this neighborhood. I used to frequent somewhat similar spots back in the Arabic neighborhood I lived near in Brooklyn, and it was nice to see this place open a while back. I have tried a handful of things here, and honestly, it's gotten worse every time. The first time, I got the tenders consisting of six pieces for $14, which is honestly very reasonable. The thinner pieces were a tad dry, as the batter had become overly fried, but it's hard to complain about the price point. They also came with a perfectly alright sauce called Mambo, which they list as spicy but is as hot as a spicy McNugget or similar with a light sweetness. The second time, I had the Slider Combo for $7.99, which came with two chicken sliders (spicy if wanted,) fries, and a Polar soda. The fries were honestly nice and better quality than those at any nearby fast-food place. The sliders were dreadful, however. They were dry with overly breaded chicken with no pickles or anything else to help, so I guess that's why it comes with a soda or water. This doesn't help the even worse bun, which was dry as well, and makes a Martin's potato roll look like a Rolls-Royce. The Polar drink was, as expected, a worse Diet Coke. The last time, and the last time I'll ever stop in here, I got the Classic Burger, which is their smash patty with American cheese, holy sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion. This was the worst burger I've had in ages and easily the worst smashburger, with the meat somehow being dry. I guess the bun was different as it was larger, but also as the top was charred better than the burger meat. Maybe the signature burger for $4 more is better, but I'm never going to stop for it if they're careless enough to burn a burger bun. 3 stars for the chicken tenders due to the deal. 2 stars for the slider combo, as the fries were decent. 0.5 stars for the burger. 2/5
