I liked the big chunks of veggies that were in there but I would have liked just a few more pieces of clam. Service was extremely friendly and attentive from start to finish. This restaurant was a great find, it had modern decor, was not too bright or loud and had a small amount of seating at the bar and lots of tables.

I'm so happy we were able to give this place another shot! This place was great, featuring multiple fresh local fish, their menu has options to enjoy any of them raw or cooked. The chef curates the entrees each day to feature whichever catch of the day would work best with that particular dish. The burrito pairing I enjoyed used a seared Ono, a mild and slightly sweet white fish with a good meaty texture, and I was so pleasantly surprised at how intentionally the burrito flavors were balanced to not overpower the protein. The flavors were soft and subtle with no big acidic punches or heavy spices (which in any other context would be welcome), truly a confident choice in recipe development that shows how much effort and care they put into the fish they procure. Came to Pacific Coast Fish for a quick bite in between my sons basketball games that were about 5 minutes away. The plan was to share a few snacks. It didn't go that way once we went through the menu. lol My husband ordered the fish and chips which he absolutely loved. The fish was dense and not overly battered. The fish was fresh and buttery. I got a poke bowl, it was full of flavor and the fish was not fishy. My son got a yellow tail fish bowl, it had many ingredients and flavors that he really enjoyed. We also got the crudo to share which was generous and delicious. After starting our meals we added a clam chowder because at this point we just had to know. It was actually so good, it had great flavor. Not just salty. I liked the big chunks of veggies that were in there but I would have liked just a few more pieces of clam. Service was extremely friendly and attentive from start to finish. This restaurant was a great find, it had modern decor, was not too bright or loud and had a small amount of seating at the bar and lots of tables.

I had a great visit here and the food was fresh, delicious and well cooked! The server Sean was very patient and friendly, he answered my questions about fish given I need to be safe eating lower mercury fish. He made sure to ensure the order was cooked to the right level! The ambiance was great; music level was perfect beach vibes, outdoorsy, and laid back reminded me of some sea side spots in Seattle. Appreciated the calm and relaxing service here the ambiance was also very clean and bright. A good spot and I bet you can't go wrong with the food, taste here was spot on for me and would be back when I'm in the area.

I buy fish from these guys almost every week at the HB farmers market. It's fresh, sashimi grade, and I have yet to be let down. Every dish I've made with their fish, my family has loved so I decided to take my mom and MIL here when it was their last official meal together since my mom wanted to treat my MIL. MIL got fish tacos that she loved, my mom got a fish salad that she devoured, and my sister got a carpaccio and truffle fries. Service was amazing. I'm pretty sure they forgot the fries but they were quick to get on it when I brought it up. The fries are SO good. I got a clam chowder which was a little too salty for me but the toast that came with it was SO good.

I don't remember having a better seafood anywhere in the United States. The only other place where I had better seafood was in Sweden, back in 2016. The fish was fresh, and it's also expertly prepared by the chef. The fisherman's stew had a balanced taste between the natural brine of the seafood and the tanginess of the tomato. Even the bread that came with the soup was perfectly toasted. It's not everyday when I experienced a Ratatouille moment, when a food critic was overwhelmed by emotions and moved close to tears. This unassuming restaurant holds the secret to culinary nirvana. Help spread the word, but not too fast because I still want to enjoy coming here without a huge crowd.

Excellent restaurant and dining experience. Great place and pleasant atmosphere. The food was fantastic and the fish was very fresh. Even for my family who do not particularly like raw fish, they admitted that they enjoyed it very much and would have it again at this restaurant. We especially enjoyed the crudo and the stew. Elise, the waitress, was absolutely fantastic. She is exceptionally kind and courteous. 11/10 would highly recommend Pacific Coast Fish Co.

My husband and I were craving seafood for lunch so we decided to stop by here. We decided to order the fish & chips, clam chowder, and ahi tuna sandwich since they were recommended to us by our server. I've had fish & chips all over the world, including the UK and Canada, and I can confidently say that the fried fish is among the best I've tried. The batter was so light and crispy and the cod was fluffy and juicy. I also upgraded the fries to the truffle parm seasoning and it was totally worth it. The clam chowder was just the consistency I like; not too thick and not too runny. The bread that came with it was soo good. And the ahi tuna in the sandwich was super fresh. Our server Bella was also so incredibly friendly and helpful to us. Overall, food and service was a 10/10 and I would definitely come again.

Was served by Airica. She's always so sweet and welcoming. The food is so fresh and amazing. I had the soy ginger crudo and it was to die for! Fish was fresh and the soy ginger sauce I literally drank from the plate . Then I ordered the calamari. It was so tender and not chewy like other restaurants have. The spicy sweet sauce was so tasty! I may have eaten all my food before I took a picture. But I did take a picture of the beautiful setting and great server. Cody was our server and he was amazing on recommendations of food. We started with the calamari that was so good and the sauces were both complimenting of the calamari. We then decided on sharing the Mahi Mahi Fish sandwich and the Mahi Mahi fish Tacos. They were amazing again, I know I could think of another word haha This is an amazing local spot with fresh fish and a great attentive staff. You would be missed out if you didn't try it. I'll get pictures of the actual food next time.

Beautiful interior with amazingly fresh fish and nice people. I don't know why it took us so long to try this place. You get large pieces of some of the freshest fish I've tasted since being in Hawaii. We will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Every dish we ordered was delicious and beautifully prepared. This is our second time here. The Chef's Crudo was incredibly fresh and delicate, with flavors that truly let the fish shine. The Aguachile Ceviche (my fav) was bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced--fresh fish, citrus, and just the right kick. The calamari was light, crispy, and not greasy at all, and the fish tacos were packed with flavor, fresh toppings, and perfectly cooked fish. You can really taste the quality and care in every plate. A huge shoutout to Johnny at the bar--he is so kind, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great service paired with amazing food is always a win. Wow our food last night was amazing .... my buddy and I are on a destiny golf trip and happened to come by this Gem of a place. This is the real deal Family restaurant with authentic crazy good fish affaire. Not only the taste and quality was on paar, but the level of detail of the presentation spot on. Tried this place for the first time tonight, and I'm disappointed in myself that we didn't try this place sooner. We started off with the crudo which happened to be ahi tuna, fantastic! For the main course I had the fisherman stew which was the right amount of serving. It came with 2 slices of sourdough bread and it was the softest bread I've ever had. The husband tried the fish tacos and he enjoyed them very much. Great place to have dinner. We can't wait to try it again. I wish I would have taken pictures of our meal but trust me it was well worth it. read more

Pacific Coast Fish Company is amazing!!! The food, service and ambiance are all incredible! The food is especially unbelievable. Tonight was our third time dining here. Each time, the food was exemplary. The fried calamari appetizer and the new hamachi ceviche appetizer were extraordinary. The Calamari is fresh & processed in house, not sent to China for processing and brought back like 80% of restaurants do. They process all fish in house. I feel like I'm always on the hunt for good fish and chips. The kind where is flakes and warm inside and the breading on the outside is crispy all around. WELL- I FOUND IT! My boyfriend and I went here on Saturday, we shared the chowder which was great, followed by the mussels and clams in a garlicky white wine sauce and OMG, the bread it comes with is to die for. The grand finale was the Fish and Chips and they blew me out of the water, honorable mention to the perfectly balance tartar sauce! I completely forgot our servers name, and that's my own fault because she told me twice. She was very knowledgeable, helped us make these great selections and just gave all around great service. read more

Such a unicorn! This place has a nice intimate/modern vibe. If you have ever been questioning your old fish taco spot, and experiencing endless disappointments, look no more - seriously! This establishment is closed Monday/Tuesday to allow their boat + staff to go out, catch fish, and bring it in for FRESH processing. The Chef Crudo, sashimi, and fish tacos are our favorites! Love this place since it was known as Seal Beach Fish Company to now Pacific Coast Fish Company. The food is always on point. I grew up in the tropics and can't stand it when fish is overcooked. Oh wow. Freshest food I've had in Orange County - the fish was cooked to perfection. The ceviche was mind blowing. We had a wonderful lunch today here with the kids and friends. Our server, Marvin was outstanding. He explained the different offerings and what fish was paired with the specific dish offerings. The restaurant is quiet and well designed with their decor and seating. I particularly enjoyed the comfortable, high back chairs at the tables. Our table ordered a variety of dishes- and I have to say everyone gave it a 10/10! We will be coming back to try more of the menu. read more

The restaurant has a modern cozy vibe. The food taste very fresh. I have been there twice. The fisherman's stew , clam chowder, calamari, fried asparagus were delicious, the food was lightly battered and were complimented by flavorful aioli. If you are a fish and chips person then this is your place, the fried fish is tasty and crispy. The staff is attentive and warm. My only recommendation is that they make salt more available for the grilled fish but otherwise i am very happy with the restaurant. The prices are reasonable for quality seafood. read more

We thought they must have been closing soon and wanted everyone out but they said they close at 9pm. It was a great way to empty the restaurant and we all left. I think the staff thought it was funny but somehow I don't think the owners would have found it funny. Like I said, there are too many great choices of places to eat in sb. Will take a break from Athens west for a while.

This is my third visit to this incredible fish and seafood restaurant, and once again, it did not disappoint! Every dish here is a masterpiece. I started with the poke sushi and ceviche, which were fresh and bursting with flavor. For dinner, I had the Dungeness crab roll, served inside a beautifully grilled and buttered, golden brown thick sandwich, perfectly split at the top. The dipping butter was the perfect touch, and the side of fries complemented the meal wonderfully. The portions here are generous, and the quality is top-notch. The service is impeccable, and the environment is warm and inviting. The creative chefs continually create unique and delicious flavors that keep every visit exciting.
