They came by did estimate for my house. Sales person has promised a lot of things, and at the time of estimate , it seems very impressive, and looks like a good deal too, except, later, when the written estimate came, the things they promised verbally are not in writing, and when contact them to clarify, they claim that by law they can not put those thing in writing. It really feels like a lot of sales pitch , but nothing solid ... I can not tell you how their actual work is since I did not go with them. I end up went with Bay Area Termite who is definitely a lot more direct, honest and I actually spend 700 less on the same kind of job and warranty. It has been less than a year after the job was completed. They have came out once to redo one spot. And so far so good. but, the truth is with orange oil , you will probably expect to repeat the treatment, but it is safe for your plants and 4 legged loved ones, and it is pretty painless since you do not have to do so much before and after the job. For me, my 4 legged loved one's and my own wellbeing is top priority. Keep in mind, termite can fly... so, even you tented house, next year, you might end up with termite again except you might not see it until the problem is obvious... so, the key is keep close eye on this, and maintenance is very important. read more

Having bought (unknowingly) a totally infested condo unit, I can say I have dealt with any termite treatment company one can think of in the bay area--A&R, J&M, Clark, Jeff Hiatt, Terminix being some of them. I can also say that Pacific Coast is definitely the best. Scheduling appointments for inspections and treatments is also simple and quick. The inspectors are on-time, courteous, and professional. One might think these are simple things that any good business should provide, but apparently that ain't so in the termite treatment world. The treatments they do involve drilling holes into the wall and injecting orange oil. Since some places were recently remodeled, they were willing to work with me and do the treatments from the outside instead. It didn't take long, and I barely had to be there at all. I did not have an inspection performed by this company. This review is for trying to get a quote and potentially schedule an inspection. I had requested to see a sample report via email, and was told one would be sent to me. The quote for inspection was $350. After a couple hours, and having already been sent a sample inspection report from another company, I called back to inquire. I was told the woman would call me back. The call never came and the sample report was never sent. Very poor customer service which led me to go with another company. I ended up getting an inspection through Killroy Pest Control for $275. read more

Just had our annual termite inspection, and relieved nothing was found this time. Originally called them two years ago when we noticed evidence of termites in several window casing around the house. At the time, my wife was housebound so tenting was not an option, so we chose the orange oil treatment. Initial treatment pretty much fixed the problem, but I did see a little new inhabitation about 8 months later. I called and they came out right away as part of the initial guarantee at no charge. Subsequently I decided to opt in for the termite insurance they offer. I feel it was a good investment. Kudos to George and Joey who came out today for the required inspection. They both were courtesy, friendly and tidy. I would hardily recommend this place, especially if you are concerned about tenting. read more

I had Ron. He is the best. Soo patient and so diligent. I have had others but they aren't nearly as good as Ron. I had to request Ron to be back to finish the job. I had a one year package until all issues are gone and it was a tricky situation. Ron is the strategic and thoughtful. He came a few times to make sure problem is 100% solved. My situation is not something that it could be resolved in a couple times. But with his help, it's comforting to learn that much progress were made and progressively all issues are gone. I'm giving it one star only because of the manager - Julie. At least she was responsive and communicative. Sadly the job that was performed by the crew was sloppy, unprofessional and rushed to say the least. They took over an hour to go and get one piece of 2x4 and a bucket of paint (that as you can see doesn't even match the color of my home). The crew did not even ask what color it should be painted or in fact if I wanted the wood to be painted over the same day. The same crew did a horrible job in my backyard fixing one other piece of wood and on top of it (in my backyard) they destroyed the light fixture that my kids got as a gift from their grandparents. I told the crew many times that there is a gate, and I am opening it now and that there is no need for them to slide their ladder over the fence destroying things in the process. You know what I got I return after I confronted them? A smirky smile from both workers. The one that reads "whatever woman". I don't even want to think what job the other crew did in my attic. You know, I don't even want to go there and check if they applied the treatment they promised. I don't want to get more hurt that I already am. I am very disappointed with the performance of the crew and with the work that was done on my house. Unfortunately, I will never use this company in the future, and I will not recommend it to anyone else. The work ethics and job performance are beyond unacceptable. Everyone from the inspector-Scott I believe (who avoided our phone calls like fire after he got the contract and our payment and I am assuming his commission) to the workers who performed all the jobs are lacking lots of skills- basic skills needed to perform their job. I never expect perfection from people, and I have upmost respect for anyone who works in customer service, but I believe that greatness can be achieved in any job and at any lever, but it requires willingness to do the job and to do it right. I, unfortunately, did not see any of it in this company. At this point it is not even the matter of money, although I can tell you that the money we paid to this company was not worth the disappointment, the lost time, being late to my doctor appointments and work, and what we had to go through after by fixing what was done wrong. In my opinion, whether something cost $2000 or $200, it should be done professionally and in a timely fashion. read more

Pacific Coast Termite did a very through inspection before treatment and noticed an area in my home that I had not discovered that had termites. Their treatment team was very professional and friendly and did a great job telling me what they were doing so that I felt comfortable with the process. About 6 months after treatment noticed new evidence of termites and they came out to inspect; turns out it was actually wood beetles. They treated the area with no delay (it was under warranty thankfully) and let me know that if I notice anything else to give them a call and they would come out. I called this company after seeing termite droppings in one place in my home. Jason was quite thorough in his inspection and found other spots where there were droppings too. So much for the good part. Now all the the negatives. Their quote was 2.5x that of fumigation. He said my fence with my attached neighbor would need to come down for fumagation (not true). One of two "preventive treatments" he indluded in the quote for my well insulated attic would be spraying from 30 feet away with a hose and hoping it would coat all surfaces from where termite could enter. Claimed slab foundation is worse for sub-terranean termites than crawl space foundations (not true unless you have cracks in the cement visible above the foundation). It is a only a spot treatment and does not address areas where you may have infestation, but have not observed the droppings yet. Of the 3 types of ingredients used for treatment, only is Orange oil based. So I am not even sure you can call it an orange oil treatment. The remaining two are used by every termite control company for spot treatment. Without the costly preventive treatments, they would not offer the 2 year warranty. So I am not buying in to this costly bundle/package treatment that may neither treat ot prevent the problem fully. I will do a spot at 1/5th the cost and take my chances or fumigate and be sure all termites and eggs are killed in the entire house. I can put up with prep work and 2 days out of the house for fumation for this cost difference and still come out with more money in the pocket. read more

Call the company ask them if they still wanted our business, assured us they did. Dan and his crew (Armando & Richard) spent two days at my house repairing wood that had been either damaged by termites or dry rot. They did a superb job and we couldn't be happier. Two 'columns' on the front porch were replaced along with two 'belly bands', a rafter, and a beam on the front porch. The new wood was primed and painted as well YAY! Richard also went under the house to repair more damaged wood. A screen around the A/C pipe was also replaced to keep the &%$#@ varmints out of the crawl space under the house. A rotten railing was discovered along the way and it, too, was replaced. Everything looks like new again. They arrived on time and cleaned up after they were done. Two years have gone by and I saw a small group of droppings under a panel outside. It was still under warranty. Appointment was for "between 11:30 and 1:30." Jarred was there at exactly 11:30. He did a full inspection, under the house, in the attic, around the house on the ground and in the eves. There was a small amount of termite activity which he treated on the spot. I don't know if tenting the house is more effective, but we seem to be doing fine with the PCT service and regular inspections/treatments - and we don't have to be exposed to toxins or move out. So far I'm a fan. Jeff came out and did a THOROUGH inspection of the house, inside and out, in the attic and crawl space under the house. I had called for what I thought was termites, turned out to be carpenter ants but then the inspection showed termites as well. Small amount but still. Jeff took pics to show me what was up and gave me a decent estimate. I called to schedule and they were friendly and prompt. I will revise this one way or another after the work is done. This is a review for general customer service and the inspection. My contractors discovered signs of termite infestation while doing some carpentry work on my house. I called Pacific Coast Termite on Friday afternoon and was able to get a Saturday afternoon visit. Jeff Whitcomb was the inspector. In a nutshell, he's knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. He didn't think the orange oil treatment was appropriate and recommended fumigation. His assessment of the damage jived with what my contractor was telling me. It's always nice to hear when two experts come to the same conclusion. It makes me feel confident that I'm heading in the right direction. I'm not going to be able to evaluate their treatment methods, but I'd definitely trust them to do it. Jeff gave me a quote for an attic and crawl space preventative maintenance treatment. Had this company perform an inspection. They did a quick evaluation and did not find any termites other than the one area we identified. Without any real report or explanation, they proposed the minimum charge of $2,200. We signed up and then decided the next day to get a couple of more estimates. Turns out you can get your whole tented for that amount. Their customer service is very unprofessional and has really dragged out our 10% refund. Over priced with poor customer service is a recipe for disappoint. read more

Contacted PCT today because of another reinfestation. Had the initial treatment in July 2011. Since that time, termites have returned 4 more times, the latest in May 2013. The treatment has not lasted 1 entire year without a reinfestation. They are saying I will most likely have to pay for another treatment since I am out of their 2 year warranty even though their treatments have not lasted even 1 year without an issue of returning termites. I tented the house in 1999 and it lasted with no reinfestations until PCT came out in July 2011. Quite a difference. An inspector is coming out on Monday, March 10. More to follow after their inspection. Follow up - Steve, the inspector, came out yesterday and without getting into a long explanation, PCT is coming back out to do a complete inspection and treat the infected area at no additional cost. Our tenant told us that a termite spot was found in the garage of our rental condo. We made appointments for termite inspection with three companies. Two inspectors among of the companies just checked the spot we told them. However, Robert in Pacific Coast Termite found another two spots in the front wall of our condo, and made sure there is no problems found in the second floors. This discovery of new termite spots was very important to prevent further damage of the condo. I also gave my thumbs up to the technicians, Eric and Vince, who spent 4.30 hours for a full treatment of our condo. They worked very hard to drill tens holes on the concrete ground, insider of garage and outside of the front door, as well as frames of walls. After termite treatment around our condo, they filled the holes and resumed the wood frame and concrete ground to original status. This company has really great service and great people. read more

I am very impressed with Pacific Coast Termite. Their commitment to doing a good job is to be commented.. Recently, at our yearly inspection . Omar, one of their senor inspectors , noticed some areas underneath the house that needed some additional support repairs. These were well documented in his report.- ready for the next team to take care of things. As a side note - Omar did see some 'tunnels' in the garage under neath the cabinets. He knocked down as many of the 'tunnels' he could reach - but since I had so much junk piled under the cabinets, he needed an open area to access activity. He said, when floor assessable he said he would come out again To inspect activity - and all at no additional charge. As you see, I have work to do - and what better opportunity to clean up some of the garage. Next step, Omar and team scheduled a date and time to make necessary repairs. This time their representative was Armando. He showed up on time, in fact a little early. I was immediately impressed with his clean uniform and respectful manner. Using information documented by Omar, Armando knew exactly what needed to be taken care of. He hit the ground running. As I expected, he put down plastic to keep debree to a minimum. What I really appreciated was the fact that Armando mentioned to me exactly what he was doing and would be done next. Clean up was great. Couldn't tell they were here, that's how good. read more

I was worried about termites since I live in a townhouse and my neighbor has termites. I had 2 other termite companies come out and both quoted me very high prices, Then my husband called pacific coast they came out and only found termites in the same spot the other companies had found, but quoted us very reasonable rate, and since we had an old townhouse we had no insulation in the attic they did the termite eradication and insulation in 1 day, very good job and very knowledgeable of their work and they even came back after a month and doubled checked the work to make sure the insulation was settling in well. I have had three termite compaies done an inspection on my house, they were very good about an inspection but, Marvin Yee from Pacific Coast Termite did the most detialed work. The price for subterranean and drywood treatment were little high than others but he reduced little. We picked them for the job. The technicians were Jason, Mike and two more stopped by help them out. They did a very goog job. I gave them 4 stars for now, and will update later ater I call them back for inspection later. Enrique arrived on time for the free termite inspection. He was very thorough, the whole visit taking 1 1/2 hrs. Fumigation is pushed by the majority of contractors. For us, not poisoning the space we're living in or risking theft during the day or so the tent off and windows open, plus having the future deterrent of the much less toxic chemicals used was a win. Henry came a week later and did the whole job over 1 1/2 days. (Usually more than one tech, there was an unexplained staffing shortage). As he is very experienced and knowledgeable, he accomplished it all!! All was clean when he finished and all we need to do is top off the patched tiny drill spots on the stucco with our own paint match. We and our dog were home the whole time. Pacific Coast also has a wood repair dept that we scheduled to follow up on wood members that needed replacement due to the termites and dry rot. Our garage is too full to treat, but their 2 yr warranty covers a revisit for that when we're ready. I suspect many choose fumigation because it seems cheaper, but our estimates from 2 Diamond certified companies, one with fumigation and one with alternatives, were about the same. If you add in days spent packing, finding a rental/storage, and more worry about health safety and vandalism, fumigation would lose!! read more

Our termite inspector Jerimiah was extremely knowledgeable,honest and did not pressure us to immediately accept his a quote like other companies did to us . He did a very thorough job inspecting the attic, crawlspace, interior and exterior of the house. I have had many other termite companies inspect and give quotes. Pacific Coast Termite did the best inspection and gave the lowest treatment and prevention quote. The chemicals they use are far safer than Termidor (dangerous to thyroid) and are proven to be very effective. We haven't decided on accepting the treatments at this moment but I felt like it was my duty to leave a great review for the inspection. We recently had a local termite treatment done at our house ( wish I could get it fumigated but our lousy and eccentric neighbor won't share the cost , yes we share a wall with them) Anyways, Pacific coast guys are very particular about time and were at the door step a few minutes before scheduled. Robert Perez the inspector is good and he is not a slacker , took his own time and was very diligent , unlike inspectors from other big name pest control companies. As per plan the guys (forgot their names ) did the job and completed the formalities. In about two weeks from the treatment , we saw some termite activity in one of our rooms , we were under warranty , yes pacific coast has a 2 year warranty . But we were really not sure if they would honour it , but to our surprise and satisfaction not only did they honor the warranty ,they once did a super job. Services has been good, and people are all very professional and nice. However, unlike tent treatment, there is not guarantee they can kill all termite hidden in my house. They only treated the areas they can see termite damage, there are too many areas they did not see or they cannot access. For my house, a year after the treatment, I keep finding new termite damage. Yes, they will come back and and kill the termite that I found. But, by the time I see the big holes on the wood, the damage already been done, and I am just concerned how many more are in my house that will come out in the future. At this moment, I am not convinced this is a proven technology! read more
