Excellent Pizza and parmisian sandwiches! Highly recommend the eggplant parm - they cook the the bread just perfectly.

The place does have a dinning room that reminds you of a Seinfeld episode, but that just adds to the experience. The Brooklyn pie is out of this world!! It was the best I have ever had. The tomato pies are very good. They are thin, but not to thin that the crust is to crispy to eat. I love the crust. I had meatballs and onions, and we could not have been happier. Best pizza on the East Coast!!!!

So glad we are moving to the area! We ordered a large tomato pie with fresh garlic and the Palermo's salad. This was one of the best pizza's I have ever eaten (if not the best)...tomato pie that is! If this place ain't in NJ's pizza power rankings something is wrong. The delivery was so prompt that I barely had time to call back and add a soda to the order before it was out the door. The salad was a flavor medley with grilled veggies and topped with fresh mozz and a pepper shooter! I don't think we'll be exploring anytime soon unless the joint comes highly recommended by a reliable source. You've got our business!!! read more

I'm traveling for business and wanted pizza during the Monday night football game. I took the recommendation of the person who answered the phone when I called to order a sausage pizza. Delivery was quick to the hotel and the pizza unreal. I had the tomato pie with garlic and sausage. One of the most flavorful pies I've ever had. The Palermo's salad and tomato pie were excellent; the white pizza with broccoli had entirely too much broccoli, but still tasted good.

Their tomato pie is stand out. Thin crust with a chunky tomato sauce that includes visible basil leaves. I recommend going with the small size (especially for take out), because the larges can get soupy in the middle especially if they have fresh vegetable toppings. Their dinners are also very good. Their almond cake is my newest addiction. White cake soaked in almond liquer layered with a light custard creme and topped with a crunchy layer of chopped candied almonds. It can be very busy between the dining room, take out & deliveries; so I usually enjoy their food midweek. read more

The tomato pie is excellent (best around) along with their best in the area calzone (white or regular). The ricotta cheese in the calzone is delicious. Their wings are great and addicting even though they are small. Initially I hated the wings because they are tiny but over time I am now addicted and is a must have appetizer when I go. The chopped antipasti salad is another great menu item, my wife's favorite. I have not ventured too far off the standard tomato pie menu because it's too hard to resist ordering. You cannot go wrong with their tomato pie, calzone, wings and chopped antipasti salad and a bottle of chianti (BYOB). read more

Palermo's has great pizza. The tomato pie is my favorite and it's consistently excellent. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The sauce isn't too sweet either. The crust is think and crisp, perfectly...never chewy. You can get really good salads to go with your pizza. Fresh romaine lettuce with tasty dressings. Though I haven't tried the other food yet it all looks really well made. The owner is always present and greets you. The staff is very friendly and helpful. read more

Their pizza is excellent. The best veal marsala in a cream sauce I have ever had. The food is consistent in flavor every visit unlike other places where it changes with who ever is cooking that night. Ordered to go & picked up in a timely manner. Got Baked Ziti (enough for two) Salad (limp threw it away) & roll (nothing great). So dry. Not enough sauce or cheese. Told my daughter and she said their pizza is great but she has ordered Vodka sauce rigatoni and it was terrible. Won't go back for a dinner maybe someday I will try the pizza. read more

Palermos used to be our favorite go to restaurant. The pizza/tomato pies were the best in the area. But in the recent months the food has changed. I'm not sure what they're doing differently but the past 2 times we've ordered, the pizza especially, has been very disappointing. Also I'm giving 2 stars because the only time we dined in they got my order wrong and blamed me for it as if I didn't know what I asked for. The manager fixed the order but the man who was going back and forth with me at our table in front of my children was unpleasing to say the least...despite that we STILL gave our business!! My husband and I came into Palermo's for dinner at the recommendation of many of our close friends awhile back. Now, we are completely addicted and have come back many times since! I am shocked by some reviews that rate the pizza poorly or say this place is inconsistent. We have always been extremely happy with everything we've gotten, whether it be tomato pie, sicilian pizza, pasta, appetizers, etc. They get busy (which should serve as a testament of their great food!) but the servers are always attentive and pleasant. I've never written a Yelp review before but made an account just to rate this place! You can't get any better, in Bordentown or elsewhere! read more

Very good tomato pies and friendly wait staff...but watch them on how they price your ticket. We ordered the two tomato pies for $18.99 special on a Saturday, but the toppings (which are clearly stated as additional cost) we selected on our pies made it a "gourmet" pizza listed elsewhere on the menu. Suddenly, the entire order (both pies) no longer qualified for the special. Priced at the special $18.99 pricing, with the cost of the actual extra toppings, the order should have been about $29. We were charged over $38...and they acted like we were unreasonable for questioning it. Sadly, we won't enjoy their pies again. Apparently some businesses prefer to gouge you once rather than do business with you for a lifetime. Seems short-sighted to me, but there are other pies to try...elsewhere. read more

Don't go to Palermo's!!! For the second time people who arrived 15 minutes after us got seated before us. They were friends of one of the waitresses. When I asked why they got our table the waiter told us he was told to seat bigger parties first. There were 2 people in the other party. There were 3 of us. He said the other party was expecting 2 more people. We said we were there first and the other party wasn't even all there yet. He snottily said they would be there any minute. He's psychic I guess. I asked what the difference was between a party of 3 and a party of 4, meaning tablesize is the same. He sarcastically said "1". We left. As we left he yelled "Have a nice day!" The same thing happened about a year ago. Only that waiter was even more arrogant. Businesses that treat their customers this way should not be patronized!! It doesn't matter if the food is good or not. I will never go there again. I urge everyone to boycott this restaurant. Obviously customer service is a very low priority for them. And the wait staff is horrible. Mama Rosa's on Broad Street has a great wait staff and their Brooklyn style pizza is better than Palermo's tomato pie. It's now my new favorite and it will be yours too! Give it a try. Let's see how arrogant Palermo's is when no one goes there anymore. read more

This place is fantastic if you love great food in an informal, family friendly setting. It's simple and all about the quality of the food. The Brooklyn is my favorite pie with sausage and maybe some pepperoni too if you're feeling spicy. There is a great antipasto chopped salad that's a must. Bring your own bottle of wine and it will be opened promptly. Who can beat this place for the best pizza or tomato pie? No one. And in New Jersey that means something. read more

I don't like to give anyone only one star, but based on my first experience here, that's what it deserves. Ordered a Cheese Steak Hoagie, French Fries, and Sorrento Panini. There was barely any meat on the steak sandwich, ordered fried onions, but they came raw, and the tomatoes were terrible. Fries were fine, standard frozen. The panini should not be called a panini. A panini is a pressed sandwich, what I got was a sandwich on bread that was toasted on one side on a griddle. Hopefully this is not an accurate representation of the food here. May give the pizza a try as that is what everyone seems to rave about. Definitely not a sandwich spot! read more

Food is nothing special. For the price we paid we were expecting generous servings, but ended up with petite portions. And be warned, there are no free refills on the soda which was not really made clear... We ended up paying $9.50 for soda for two people. I am a Bordentown resident and all sit-down restaurants I've been to in town gave free refills on soda. I definitely will not go back to this place again and will tell everyone I know to stay away. read more

THE BEST TOMATO PIE !!!! Better than DiLorenzos! Better than Marcellos! My wife and I love the the "tomato pie," served as a hot pizza pie. Compared to conventional pizza, this tomato pie has less cheese, more red sauce and a very very thin crust, soft in the middle but crispy on the edges. After eating this type of tomato pie, I never want to have regular pizza again! (Palermos serves regular pizza too ... your choice). Palermo's is a nice, clean pizzeria and I go there frequently. I wish it was located in a more attractive spot, because it is part of a little strip mall on Route 206 that looks tired and worn-out ... but this pizzeria is a hidden gem. Highly recommended. Note: around Philadelphia most "tomato pie" is served cold, in squares, with a thick layer of red sauce on top of a mushy soft crust. Nowhere near as tasty as Palermo's tomato pie -- an entirely different recipe. read more

The tomatoe pie is as good as they say, i got it with sausage and mushroom and it was thin and crispy whith a perfect mixture of sauce and cheese, with fresh sausage and mushroom, they have fruit punch too not JUST SODA or that bullshit FUZE iced tea like a lot of places, jalapeno pooppers were on point and the canolis were really good considering it aint a five star restaurant if you know what i mean, cant wait to spend more money here i love places like this that respect there customers, customer service is great. First of all I placed an order so it would be ready at 5:45 and popped in at 5:30 hoping to get it when it came right out of the oven. Well, it was already made and must've been sitting there atleast 5-10min because the bottom of the box wasn't lukewarm to the touch. But then i looked around and about 5 people just standing there, so i figured they were looking for something to do, so i didn't bother to say anything. But then I get home and pop the top of my "gourmet" Hawaiian pizza to come to find that the few pieces of tiny ripped deli ham and canned pineapple was not even evenly distributed. It looked like most of the pizza was plain. Its like when you go to subway and they give you two pieces of tomato on your footlong sandwich. Are you kidding me? What the hell did I pay gourmet pricing for exactly? There was nothing else on the pizza. No special sauce, no special crust, no decently proportioned even-spaced toppings. Just a tiny little bit of ham and pineapple. I basically got a medium pizza with two toppings for more money than it was worth. And it didn't taste like anything. Seriously, it was the most boring Hawaiian pizza experience of my life that I had to put Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce on it just to make it taste like something. But I feel like a total chump. In my old neighborhood I used to get this pizza from Dominoes. It was 10x better and about $4 cheaper. So disappointed in this place. read more

I've never had their tomato pie (which other reviewers on here seem to adore) but their Brooklyn pies are excellent. They taste fresh and not greasy like other places' Brooklyn pies. A little higher in price than other places, but I'd rather pay a few extra bucks for something that tastes this much better. read more
