    깜풍새우 - Spicy shrimp (?)

Three & a half stars. Decent food but fairly minimal decor & sides. Thie is korean Chinese restaurant but no kimchee. They gave me siriracha sauce when I asked if they have kimchee. Not the same. Feels like a to go place but you can sit down & dine. It's an ok place to go if you're in a hurry but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here.

We when here today for the first time, our friends recommend. We like it and will be back. Pretty simple and small place. Service was great even though she was by herself!! Food taste was good just like the original taste I remember.

Small cozy place with assortment of different Korean dishes. They are known for their Jjampong among the locals. I ordered the fried shrimp rice and Jjampong. The portions are good size and flavor was mediocre for my taste. The price was fair.

Came back in few days! We came around 6pm and got seated in 15 minutes. Just fyi, they get last call order at 7pm! We were lucky to order all we wanted because they ran out of rice dishes right after our order. Anyways, everything tasted amazing again! I highly recommend the Noodle Soup with Oysters and Seafood (굴짬뽕). Omg so good.

Jjamppong and ganjajangmyeon are the best in oc. Changed staff are friendly The menu is not extensive, so it is easy to choose and all the food is delicious.

5/21/2022 Went yesterday mid afternoon for an late lunch, early dinner. Haven't been here for a few years, but mom was craving it so much, we decided to eat here. #5 - JJAMPONG Spicy seafood noodle This was really good! The spicy seafood broth was delicious! The noodles weren't overcooked and I enjoyed it overall. Shared this with my mom, but she ate it so quickly, I did not have much to eat. Whatever I could eat, I was happy. This is one of their popular dishes. It's a must-try! #14 - JAPCHAE BAP Vermicelli, veggies, and beef with white rice This dish was good too. Make sure you stir everthing together because the sauce was sitting at the bottom. Good flavor overall. Wished they cut the vermicelli noodles a bit. It was kinda hard to eat it. This dish would be perfect for lunch or for a late night dinner at home. This dish comes with a side of jjampong spicy soup. #37 - MANDU TWEEGIM (10 pcs) Fried pork and veggie dumplings This is an old-school style dumpling. It was crispy and served hot. However, I didn't love it. SERVICE Great service and the staff was friendly. They made sure every guest left happy.

Wow!!! My hubby and I chose the right Chinese restaurant. We ordered the chicken Fried rice, spicy Shrimps today. Took just 15mins to wait until pick up. We drove home about 15 mins from the restaurant and found the foods were still hot hot.... Awesome!! The price and quality both are super good. The portion is also a lot to share with 4 people. What a great Chinese restaurant in Anaheim? Strongly recommend to try this out. Yum!

This Korean Chinese fusion restaurant is such a hidden gem. I've been coming here for a few years as this is my mom's favorite place to eat around this neighborhood. The place itself is pretty small with only a few tables but luckily, I've never had to wait too long to be seated. My favorite dishes to order are chicken fried rice, spicy noodle soup (jjampong), black bean noodles (jjangmyun), sweet & sour pork, and the special stir-fried noodles. All their dishes are super flavourful and the portions are huge! I would say it's definitely worth the price. The noodle textures are just right and the pork comes out nice and crispy and they stack the whole dish with seafood (jjampong and special stir fried noodles). I'll continue to come to this place and definitely recommend it!

This place has good price and service. But there are different prices between website order and call order. Example: JJampong $21.00 on website order and $14.99 on call order. Pls make sure to call and pay less.

Yes I ate here twice in one week. I first had their lowest priced menu item $8.99 black bean noodles. The sauce is made in big batches and almost stewed. The noodles are perfect in size and texture (chewy and good). It comes with raw onion / vinegar w blk bean dip, then there is a house made soy sauce mixed pickle and sliced pickled daikon. The next visit I pigged out. I ordered their upgraded GAN CHA JJIANG - which is their blk bean noodles made to order. The onions are diced, the meat is leaner, it comes with a fried egg and cucumber garnish. I think I am happier with the $8.99 version. I also ordered something called JAP TANG BAP. It is a seafood stir fry with vegg. Very generous amt of seafood. The vegg consisted of sliced bamboo, bok choy, napa cabbage, red bell pepper, mushrooms (2 kinds), a bit of spinach and chives. Great value for the price. Portion leaned on generous. DELISH!

Street parking is also fairly easy since it's residential if you don't mind walking a few minutes. Once there, there's often a short waitlist (~ 15 min). Our party had the Prime Non-Marinated Korean BBQ Combination for four and added a Boneless Short Rib. The first thing I noticed? Definitely the charcoal grill - my favorite! The staff cooked all the meats for us, and each was cooked well. There were a few time where the meats were lightly charred, though that was on us for eating a little too slow. Can't blame us though, we had good chats and shots. The sauces for the meat were all tasty as were the sides, which I devoured multiple rounds of, but if there's one I don't recommend it's the boneless short ribs... why had I not read that it was marinated? The marinate was way too sweet, an I'm sad that this was our last order to come out. It was by far a chore to eat and not the best way to end our evening. I highly recommend the Prime Non-Marinated Korean BBQ Combination, though!

You need to add your own salt which is provided on the table. It's a simple and filling soup. The Galbi Tang is flavorful with lots of meat. You also add your own salt. This is one of my go to "sick dishes" as it's very comforting. Their Yuk Gae Jang is SO GOOD. It's definitely my favorite here. It's the perfect amount of spice. It's filled with meat, noodles, and veggies. The flavor of the broth itself is so yummy and when rice is added, one bowl can be stretched to three full meals. I had this dish last week and I actually can't stop thinking about it. Overall everything here has been delicious and the portions are very generous. The banchan includes 3 dishes: radish kimchi, kimchi, and mustard greens kimchi. All have fish sauce. Service 10/10 Servers are quick, efficient, and attentive. They brought extra bowls and without being asked, brought serving spoons and scissors to cut the noodles with. I have a fish/seafood allergy and I appreciate them taking it seriously and letting me know which foods they recommended I stay away from although they did not know for certain. I wish they knew which dishes had fish/seafood so I knew for sure what was allergy safe, but I understand that it's impossible to know the ingredients of every dish. Ambiance 8/10 I've been coming here since the pandemic days when they had outdoor seating and it's always very neat, clean, and pretty quiet as well. There is plenty of parking and lots of other dessert, drink, and food places nearby. Even though it's almost 90 degrees outside, I've been craving their Yuk Gae Jang and can't wait till my next visit!

The interior is clean, newly built, and has a modern Korean hanok-style look. The servers were also friendly both times, so I didn't have any issues with the service or atmosphere. Unfortunately, the main problem for me was the food. I've eaten at the LA location before and never really thought the food tasted bad there, but at this Buena Park location, both visits gave me the impression that the food didn't taste as fresh as it should. On my most recent visit, I ordered the soondae gukbap, and the soondae had an unpleasant off smell and didn't taste very fresh. It almost tasted like it had been sitting for a while. On my first visit, I tried the regular pork gukbap, and the pork flavor was also stronger than I personally prefer. I do tend to like cleaner-tasting gukbap, but this stood out to me because I don't remember having the same issue at the LA location. After the first visit, I thought maybe it was just an off day since the restaurant was still new. But after having a similar impression on my second visit, I'm not sure if this location is consistent yet. The space is nice and the service was good, but for a gukbap restaurant, the food has to be the main reason to come back. Based on my two visits, this location was disappointing for me.

The stone pot rice situation was an adventure on its own. They ask you if you want them to pour hot water into the bowl to loosen the crispy rice stuck to the sides. I tried it. Felt very authentic.
