Pancho's has stood the test of time at Downtown Summerlin. I have only sit in the bar area because I seek out their Happy Hour. One great thing to note is their Happy Hour times which is one hour before most start (2pm) and ends one hour after most (7pm). Chips and Salsa are on the house - you get a full basket with a good sized bowl of red salsa. I enjoy their egg rolls which is a shareable portion for two or more people. While their Happy Hour prices aren't $5-$7 items, the portion size makes up for it. Sometimes you don't want a huge entree and these HH apps can make a meal on its own. This place is a gem located in Downtown Summerlin. The atmosphere is lively and the decor and service is great, I didn't have to request refills of my drink and my food came out quick and hot. I got the 3 item combo with 2 shredded beef tacos and a cheese enchilada rice and beans. Loved the enchilada and the red sauce and the tacos were great. This place was really good! Their salsa was amazing. Chips were served warm. My wife and I went here and enjoyed it. I ordered the two shredded beef taco combo with beans and rice and she got the taco salad. Both were tasty! My margarita was good too. Great experience! Went to a late lunch with friends. We all found something we enjoyed. The food was tasty & perfect temp. The ambiance of the restaurant was great. Very colorful and nice & cool during this hot summer. The service was nice & attentive! Our glasses were never empty & plenty of refills of drinks, chips & salsa. I left pictures of our entrees & they were delicious! The reason 4 instead of 5 stars is price. That's the only drawback. For relatively inexpensive food, the prices are too high. Panchos has been one of me & my family's favorite restaurants for a while. But tonight unfortunately we came on a pretty busy night, which we were completely fine with waiting because we were craving the food. After we had checked in we watched another group of the same size of people park & walk in and get seated before us, my family is of color. My dad went to check in because we thought we had missed our name, but the manager in the front of house apologized after my father said she sat another party because they were white and she replied with "I know." To hear her confirm the reasoning behind the interaction & the fact that it was racially charged really upset me. The service at our table was sacrificed for efficiency. We had to ask our server to repeat many of the things he said because he was speaking so quickly to move to the next thing that we couldn't comprehend his words. Along with this he asked if I was done with my meal & after I responded yes, he cleared the whole table's plates. I just felt like he was so focused on getting tables in & out quickly that he was rude and inconsiderate in unintentional ways (which we have never experienced at Pancho's). Unfortunately, we did have a pretty bad experience here tonight & will think twice if the food is worth it again. read more

Disappointed with the sense of intensity or genuine care they had with my situation and for that... i rate this pretty low! They don't warn you about additional ingredients in dishes. I had high hopes for this place... i was visiting from Hawaii... the host were very friendly and sat me at my table prompt. I was super excited to see a starter that consist of Shrimp in a lemon cream sauce... as i grab a piece of what i assume is a shrimp... i put it on my plate and questioned what it was because it seemed like a Scallop! Which is something I am highly allergic to. I asked the next person i saw to ask. They quickly asked the server and he got back to mention there was indeed scallops. I feel like if it was a spice or garnish that wasn't written, it's ok. But another protein, or something as big as a scallop. That would have been really bad, and the servers response was displeased like I was wrong for sending it back. I believe his name was Antonio or anthony. But it was like he didn't care and literally reconfirmed "did you want me to remove this item from you sir?" If you asked me, that was a silly question. I'm allergic! I am not gonna eat it! I was very disappointed. Be warned though, MARISCOS en Crema de Limon has SCALLOPS! Be careful!!! Cuz it doesnt say on the menu, but they will send it without mentioning it! The main dish i ordered did help though... it was cheese-y, flavorful, and rice was tasty too. I never really eat the beans typically, but i did with this dish! I totally forgot about the flour tortilla it came with! I really enjoyed my dish! However, with that, a cute ambiance... but, a server who didn't seem to care about any allergies makes for a very cautious next visit. I'll probably be back again... but hope that it will be a better experience. And, hope that dish can come without the scallops. I was too scared for them to remake one without scallops as they probably would have brought out the same batch. Let's see if I come back... it'll be better. read more

Stopped in today as I was craving some Mexican food and the few previous times I've been, I was satisfied with my meal. Unfortunately this time I was a bit let down First let me start by saying that the style and decor takes me back to a restaurant I visited in Mexico City years ago called Hacienda in which loads of Spanish soap operas are filmed at. A true authentic feel! The service is always top notch and this time was no different! I sat at a small table in the cantina area, was immediately greeted by Helen who brought me an ice water and some menus.. Seconds later fresh salsa and chips were served. The salsa tasted fresh, definitely has a spicy kick to it and the chips were also fresh... great start!! I originally intended to get a taco salad with shredded chicken which I've have before and it was great but decided on trying something new and ordered crispy shredded chicken tacos of which is served with Mexican rice and refried beans and this is where it went downhill. The tacos were greasy, lacking in flavor. I added some salsa to it which helped some. The rice was also bland and for whatever reason, the refried beans were smothered in melted cheese . I did my best to scoop off the cheese and I am glad I did because the beans were great! Next time I visit (I believe in second chances, especially considering that my previous visits were better) but will be sure to let them know in advance that I do not want the cheese. The other reason I deducted a star is because the prices are a bit steep and it appears they recently increased it on some items too. They do however have a happy hour menu that is available 7 days a week in the cantina offering reduced drinks and appetizer specials! read more

We have always enjoyed Pancho's when we would travel to Southern Cal so it's nice to have a restaurant here in town . Had a great meal very large portions. I had the worst experience yesterday (4/5/26) around 410pm, my friend and I decided to go to this restaurant. I personally had already been years ago, but she wanted to try. Decided to give them another chance. We arrived, the host people (there were 2) had the most miserable face noticeable. We had to greet instead of being greeted to. Then proceeded to tell them, "for 2 please". The guy then grabs 2 menus and has us follow him. He sits us down in the most uncomfortable table because it was right in middle. With other tables on the sides being unoccupied. Before I sat down, I ask, "can we sit at one of those tables(as I point to one of the unoccupied side tables) we don't want to be right in the middle of everyone".. he looks and says yes and walks us to that table. Not even 5 minutes later, another hostess comes up to us and says, "these tables are reserved". (Mind you, there are no reserved signs, and no one said anything prior to sitting us) I told her, "the other guy sat us." Then she tries to argue with me (which is unprofessional and unacceptable) telling me, "well he didn't know". Instead of finding a solution, like moving us to another unoccupied table which at the time there was one by the entrance, she then told us "you guys can sit here if you're done by (then looks at her watch..) 515pm" what establishment puts a time limit like that? That would put in just about an hr to look over the menus, order drinks, order food, and eat. Completely unacceptable. Instead of being rushed to be there, we decided to leave. Its not like we can't pay. I work for hospitality and food service for 2 major casinos on the lv strip, and have never treated anyone like that. Again, I was just there because my friend wanted to try it. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Last month, my best friend hosted a baby shower for her family member and asked me to decorate for her since I have a small business on the side. We are locals and regulars at Panchos. We typically sit at the bar where Javier the bartender knows us and is a rockstar. The manager Octavio is on the ball here and these guys work harder than anyone I've seen. We have had the taco salad, quesadilla...but usually just get apps because we go in the middle of the afternoon to day drink! If you go...tip Javier well! The secret here... is the salsa picante! Third time to Pancho's. First time was just okay, second was better, and today everyone in my group enjoyed their lunch. I ordered the chicken fajitas, and got flour tortillas. The tortillas were especially tasty and I believe homemade. Chicken spiced and moist; I love the nice sauté of the veggies that come with them. The pico and guacamole need improvement. Overall delicious. Cute atmosphere with the Mexican tiles. Service was excellent. Next time I want to check out upstairs. Bar area looks like it would be fun too. First time eating here with the hub as we were in the area shopping and had always wanted to check this spot out but never got around to it. Had a craving for some good Mexican food and thought this establishment would scratch the itch, unfortunately it did not. It's beautiful inside, though the seating and table set ups are less than desirable as you're packed in like sardines, especially in the back area/room. When leaving you're having to cram between endless amount of chairs and people to get out, hoping you're not going to accidentally bop a patron in the head with your purse or body. When we first got seated we had high hopes as the place was packed. Surely that must mean the food is amazing right? Wrong! The complimentary chips and salsa were awful. I tasted an abundance of sugar/sweetness in the salsa and it was more akin to something that came out of a jar instead of tasting authentic or even made in house. The chips were stale as well, like it was prepped prior and sitting out in the basket for hours. I ordered the Carne Asada Al La AB medium rare, though the temp was correct, the meat was tough nonetheless and very-very under-seasoned, it was ridiculous! No salt, no pepper, no seasoning to be had anywhere on the meat, no nuthin! Didn't like how it was plated on the dish either, as it's just thrown on the top of the cheese enchilada and rice with everything getting stuck to the meat. They serve the refried beans on the side in a dish and it was cold. Not even lukewarm. Sprinkled cheese on the top was just that, sitting on the top and not melted. My husband ordered the Enchiladas chef Ramon, he said it was just okay, nothing outstanding, though he didn't appreciate that his food too was below lukewarm and verging on cool. As a last ditch attempt to salvage our dismal meals, we ordered a fried ice cream to share, cause how could something as simple as that possibly come out not so good right? To our surprise it didn't come out good, but just meh. Couldn't taste the caramel, not even quite sure if we had gotten any. Tons and tons of whip cream with very scant cornflakes on the ice cream though. Our server was ok. Not bad, but not great either. Very busy, very curt, very rushy. When leaving I couldn't help but to think, how in the heck is this place so busy when the service and food is just meh, lackluster, and honestly overpriced?! Underwhelming all the way around. I fancy myself a taquito connoisseur and this place is easily in the top 5 places I go to for refreshing quality Mexican food. The inside is lovely, very spacious with a lot of sunlight in the afternoon to give a tropical outdoors feel as if you really are somewhere else. The only downside is service was a little slow, we waited quite a bit in between ordering and getting our check. Poncho's is a Mexican Restaurant located in Downtown Summerlin Las Vegas. This is a very large two story restaurant. This restaurant is richly decorated with Mexican Culture and Mexican antiques. It had an unusually nice atmosphere with lots of large plants. We started out with complimentary large basket of warm chips and spicy salsa. It was pretty tasty. Our entrees came with our choice of soup or house salad. we had one of each that were pretty good. I tried the mole en pipian. It was tender chicken in a pumpkin seed peanut based sauce. It was flavorful and also a very large portion. My platter came with green rice, vegetarian black beans and tortillas. It was good but it might be two meals for some people. My husband tried the steak picado. It also was reasonably good and also made with vegetarian refried beans. The atmosphere is attractive and the food is reasonably good.
