Worst customer service ever! I got their and stood in the "Order Ahead" line with 3 others waiting. 10 minutes went by and no acknowledgement. They kept helping the walk in customers. Finally I went to the walk in line and asked someone help us out. Finally someone started assisting the order Ahead line. I asked an employee if the manager was in, but she replied that only the assistant manager is in (Thuy). RUDEST manager ever. Started taking over me and getting mad at me for complaining about getting help and suggesting something to help. Then she proceeded to ask me my order, and I told her to first help the other 3. When I asked for her managers name she told me there was no one above her and said my only option was to call the 1-800 number. Then when she finally got to me they could not find my order! She kept yelling that my receipt never came in and the machine is broken! But somehow was able i have many other orders ready after me. From Time to time I get a craving for panda express' chow mein and orange chicken. I went on a Saturday afternoon lunchtime, walked in as there were several cars in the drive thru. Two customers ahead of me, had the two mains orange chicken (of course), chow main (of course) and eggplant tofu which is not always there or enough so yay! Came to the panda express and ordered a plate of sweet fire chicken breast and the new eight seasons Chicken and chow mein and rice. When I receive my plate I opened it just to see that there was barely any entrées on my plate I paid $11 because I bought a drink. I had gone thru the drive thru as I had had both my toddlers in the back seat and had fallen asleep I decided this would be the best bet. When I finally left the drive thru after waiting I pulled over in the parking lot to eat only to get disappointed by the amount of entree on my plate and the sweet fire chicken was not fresh as I had asked the cashier if it was fresh. She said it was and clearly it was tough. I planned to go back into the drive thru but did not as their was about 6 cars ahead and didn't have much time to wait around. The size of the portions in this restaurant are suspiciously under-sized. I've been to this restaurant many times. Their portions are always, and I mean always, undersized. If their management is concerned about giving too large a serving, (and this is understandable), then they should weigh those items. Panda Express has been around for a while now and have grown significantly since I worked there back in 2002. I worked there for a summer job right before college and I was fairly impressed with how sanitary the place was and how well they paid us. I believe I was paid $8.50 or $9/hr when minimum wage was still at $5.75. (Yes, I know I'm ancient). Panda Express' most famous seller is the Orange Chicken. Everything else is just complimentary to fill up the rest of the plate. I remember loving the orange chicken and I still do as it has been consistently good over the years. I mean food overall isn't that great but it's decently enough for me to crave once in a while. I love the samples though, sometimes I would sample a bunch just to satiate my palate because I know I'm about to order Orange chicken and nothing else. Service, for the most part, has been pretty well, at least all the locations I've been to. Prices have gone up but that's not their fault (Thanks inflation). Overall, if you're looking for something fast and relatively tasty, I would reccommend Panda Express. Keep in mind it's not the healthiest choice but sometimes you just need that Orange Chicken! read more

I've been to many Panda Expresses in our area with zero problems. For whatever reason, I run into a problem EVERY time at this Natomas location. Granted, I am in a hangery state. So my attitude isn't exactly a good one to start with. This time... 1) We walk in and are the only people in line. My husband gets offered a sample and I dont. I even asked "how does it taste?". Nothing. 2) My husband gets his food first from the first girl. Two other girls are just standing there. One asked me if I've been helped yet..then walked away mid-question...so clearly she never intended to get an answer or to help at all. 3) I ordered a Panda Bowl with half noodles and fried rice. Somehow I got steamed rice. Wtf? 4) so then, I'm in incomplete hangery mode, I just say F-it...and order a small a la carte of noodles. Because I at least want SOMEthing of what I was looking forward to eating for the last two hours. But then have to walk away as to not be a completely rude customer. 5) upon walking away, I learn the girl also messed up our bill and overcharged us. At least she fixed THAT mistake! *sigh* As someone who likes to read reviews to help myself find places to eat. I realize this review is nitpicky and propbably not helpful to you, in any way, for that purpose. The fact you have read it this far is amazing. So 10 internet points to you. I have visited this location a few times and it has drastically improved over the last couple months over my experiences with it in the past year. The food seems like it is managed and prepared better, and the staff has greatly improved in speed of service. I usually get mixed vegetables over the fried rice or chow mein as a healthier alternative in the 2-entree plate, and choosing string bean chicken and broccoli beef are also healthier alternatives to the yummy orange chicken and beijing beef.
