Too many delicious carbs! Love this Panera location because of the drive thru. The food is good. The customer service is okay. It could definitely improve. The main reason I give Panera 3 stars is because of their lack of vegan options. Sure, there's a couple soups and a veggie sandwich you can modify, but that gets tired real fast. And obviously it's not this location's fault- it's the company. The app sucks. The coffee sucks. The experience is completely inconsistent. I wanted iced coffee. Some stores make it for you, some stores hand you an empty cup. Some stores have simple syrup, some have never heard of it. I've used the subscription a few times and I'm still not really sure how I'm supposed to redeem it. They usually just end up asking for my phone number. Is there a barcode in the app? Do I have a card number? It's not very clear. And it's a hassle to get out of my car, wait behind people ordering entire meals, then make my own coffee and go back to my car. It's not even worth it for free. After all that the coffee is lousy. I'd rather pay somewhere else to not have such a hassle. The food is decent, but it's way overpriced for what it is. read more

We ordered through grubhub. Mind you we work 12hr shifts and all of us were looking forward to finally eating something. We noticed our order was missing and we called. Emily the manager was so unprofessional. I called stating the missing items (3 sandwiches, a smoothie and a fruit cup) the manager said the driver took the smoothie and there was a fruit cup. We didn't receive those items so maybe the driver ate them all lol. The manager also ended up hanging up my call and left me speaking. When we went to get our missing items the had us waiting over 20mins. This is so unprofessional and in my opinion it's not fair for someone to order delivery and having to drive to pick up their missing items. We received attitude from the manager. Today, my husband and I tried panera bread. We were having a late lunch before catching a movie next door, and decided to grab a bite here. First, i'd like to say, people were quite friendly. Our cashier, Jacob, explained their menu and how it worked, after we told him it was our first time in the store. My husband and I ordered from the "pick 2" menu. He ordered the 1/2 turkey sandwich with 1/2 chicken soup, and I ordered the 1/2 frontega chicken sandwich and 1/2 goddess salad. The drinks aren't included so we ordered the drink, which was refillable. Anyways, while eating our lunch, i was halfway through my salad when i noticed a hair strand in my salad. I got up to go to the counter and showed the people who were gathered behind the end counter. They immediately apologized and one of the ladies asked if i wanted another salad or a refund. Since it was a quick lunch, and we didn't want to be late for our movie, I took the refund. They asked if they can offer me something else for the trouble, which i accepted and asked if they can give me a small sample of the soup my husband ordered, to go, since we had to get to our movie after lunch. They quickly packed me a small cup, and threw in a bag of chips. The cashier who recommended us the items we ordered apologized again when he saw me come up the counter. The food was great and the service was great for our first time. My husband and I agree that we'd come back again to try a few other items. I'm not sure if i'd try another salad but they've got quite a selection of breads, sandwiches, soups and desserts. I'm also a coffee drinker and i saw their coffee looked good too. The star minus is for the girl who delivered out food, she seemed upset and pretty much dropped our food loudly in front of us. I'm sorry but if you're feeding someone a cup of soup I would expect that cup to full of noodles and vegetables with broth.... not just broth. I spent $17 on bread and broth basically. Yuck! I ordered a strawberry poppyseed salad and they put some old nasty looking lettuce in it! I was hungry and looking forward to eating my salad. While I was at the counter for pick up I went to open my bag to check on my order and the lady quickly snatched it out of my hand saying she would check it for me... Why would you call me saying my order was ready if you hadn't already checked it????? Well her plan worked because after that I grabbed my bag and was ready to get out of there! She must have known the salad was grade F! I'm so disgusted! Waited in the drive thru through the longest line ever to see if I was able to get my order just for them to tell me to park and take even longer. Extremely disappointed! Broccoli cheddar soup is delicious! Their grilled cheese sandwich is also yummy. I like this location because the ambience is pretty laid back and it's a good study spot to get work done. I went here to pick up a Postmates order. I go through the drive through because there's no parking and it's lunch rush hour. So I wait in line at the drive through and since I've NEVER had a problem going through any other drive throughs for Postmates orders, I didn't think this would be any different. Then it's finally my turn. When I speak to the lady at the mic she said she's unable to give me Postmates orders through the drive through and I need to walk in. Great! I just waited in line and I can't back up or go forward because there's a line in front of me and in back. Ugh! Then I wait another 10 mins for them to finish with the people in front of me. Keep in mind, local Postmates orders are a payout of $4 a delivery and rely mostly on tips. I'm upset because my time has been wasted. I wait at the window and wait another 3 mins or so. I see the girls in the window pointing at me and talking. Finally the "manager", Monique tells me the same thing and that that's the way her boss wants things done. Which is ridiculous because if you're partnered with Postmates you should have them put that in the app! Nowhere in the order did it say that (see screenshot). I've seen plenty of merchants write their own set of rules to avoid these types of incidents. This was very unpleasant and unprofessional and a total waste of time. My boyfriend and I used the kiosk station and our sandwich sizes got mixed up. I ordered a full beef and cheese panini while my boyfriend ordered two half sandwiches. We got our orders and he definitely got two full sandwiches and I got half of my panini. My panini was so tiny, it looked like a kids' size. I know this Panera hasn't been opened as long as other locations but I hope service will improve cause I can see why people are leaving 1-2 star reviews. Today I am highly dissatisfied/ disappointed int in this Panera. First, I don't remember the coffee being weak. Second, both me and my mom's soup was tepid, not hot at all. Thirdly, my Spicy Thai salad I ordered had lettuce that was so soggy and or wilted. I was so hungry I just ate, but I should have return both. The employees were nice with the greeting when you order the type of snacks or meals you want. The coffee is hot brewed. The location is inside the Downey Promenade and inside the building has enough seating for a giant group party of people as in a get together of a graduation ceremony way. The meal that I got was some different types of bagels. One that I had said that I had ordered was put on the machine and later on I was asked that they had ran out of the French toast. I had to choose something else apart from the other items that I had purchased. I just decided to get the same thing as the other item that was available. I was on my lunch break and had limited time. It took more time for my order to arrive rather than eating my meal. My supervisor came to check upon what happened and I told him that the order he told me about was going to be a waiting period. I should had known. I was surprised that even the hot brew coffee even burned my tongue. It was hazelnut flavor and I added a dash of sugar with some half and half milk cream. Guess their coffee was too hot brewed and right made freshly as I usually don't get tongue burn.
