My nightmare started on a cloudy, cold and rainey Sunday. I knew it was going to be a rough day when we chose to (drive-thru) panera bread. The girl taking our order was having a hard time communicating, but we finally got our $30.00 dollar order through... Maybe. I mentioned to my wife that the only other time I've had a similar experience time was always at pollo loco. " I always check my order before driving off, and they always mess it up somehow", is what I said. Little did I know that Pollo Loco would follow me to panera bread to haunt me. I guess our conversation prompted my wife to check our order just before we reached our first stop sign. Surprise surprise, our order was short. We made our way back to panera and my wife jumped out into the rain. With a look of confidence, she disappeared into panera bread. I became concerned after five minutes of waiting and decided to follow my wife inside and see what was delaying her. I made contact with Jessica as she was questioning my wife about the missing item from our order. Jessica proceeded to imply that she felt there was a level of dishonesty at play. I was beside my self that this stranger would speak to my wife in such a unprofessional and condescending way. I am officially pissed off and utter a few choice words. Of course self righteous Jessica, out of a thousand options decides to tell me, the person who spends a minimum of $375.00 per week between my two business, not to mention her own personal paycheck, that I'm not welcomed there and that "I'm calling the cops"....Wow! as I shook my head. We made our way home, but Jessica's bad wishes for us followed. To ad insult to injury, both my little girls BLTs were missing the Bs. Hold on, it gets better. I now know why Jessica is the way she is. She's following the panera bread leadership example on how to not be empathetic to your customers. I made 37 attempts to call corporate, but the number Jessica gave me would just hang up. Finally I decided to email corporate. They emailed me back and said that they were concerned and that someone from management would reach out. Oh, they reached out alright. Corporate Sent me another email that instructed me to call. Guess what number... Lol. The same one that Jessica blessed me with...the ring tone number. They very same one I told corporate that I called 37 previous times. The app sucks. The coffee sucks. The experience is completely inconsistent. I wanted iced coffee. Some stores make it for you, some stores hand you an empty cup. Some stores have simple syrup, some have never heard of it. I've used the subscription a few times and I'm still not really sure how I'm supposed to redeem it. They usually just end up asking for my phone number. Is there a barcode in the app? Do I have a card number? It's not very clear. And it's a hassle to get out of my car, wait behind people ordering entire meals, then make my own coffee and go back to my car. It's not even worth it for free. After all that the coffee is lousy. I love coming to this Panera location. The employees are friendly and very helpful. On this particular visit I was on the fence between two soups. Too many delicious carbs! Love this Panera location because of the drive thru. The food is good. The customer service is okay. It could definitely improve. The main reason I give Panera 3 stars is because of their lack of vegan options. Sure, there's a couple soups and a veggie sandwich you can modify, but that gets tired real fast. And obviously it's not this location's fault- it's the company. Yuck! I ordered a strawberry poppyseed salad and they put some old nasty looking lettuce in it! I was hungry and looking forward to eating my salad. While I was at the counter for pick up I went to open my bag to check on my order and the lady quickly snatched it out of my hand saying she would check it for me... Why would you call me saying my order was ready if you hadn't already checked it????? Well her plan worked because after that I grabbed my bag and was ready to get out of there! Today, my husband and I tried panera bread. We were having a late lunch before catching a movie next door, and decided to grab a bite here. First, i'd like to say, people were quite friendly. Our cashier, Jacob, explained their menu and how it worked, after we told him it was our first time in the store. My husband and I ordered from the "pick 2" menu. He ordered the 1/2 turkey sandwich with 1/2 chicken soup, and I ordered the 1/2 frontega chicken sandwich and 1/2 goddess salad. The drinks aren't included so we ordered the drink, which was refillable. Anyways, while eating our lunch, i was halfway through my salad when i noticed a hair strand in my salad. I got up to go to the counter and showed the people who were gathered behind the end counter. They immediately apologized and one of the ladies asked if i wanted another salad or a refund. Since it was a quick lunch, and we didn't want to be late for our movie, I took the refund. They asked if they can offer me something else for the trouble, which i accepted and asked if they can give me a small sample of the soup my husband ordered, to go, since we had to get to our movie after lunch. They quickly packed me a small cup, and threw in a bag of chips. The cashier who recommended us the items we ordered apologized again when he saw me come up the counter. The food was great and the service was great for our first time. My husband and I agree that we'd come back again to try a few other items. I'm not sure if i'd try another salad but they've got quite a selection of breads, sandwiches, soups and desserts. I'm also a coffee drinker and i saw their coffee looked good too. The star minus is for the girl who delivered out food, she seemed upset and pretty much dropped our food loudly in front of us. Also, i'm not sure if the baguette that comes with the pick 2 combo should be warm? It was a little hard, otherwise, my husband still liked the taste. Does not even deserve one star. Waited almost 2 hours for 2 cups of soup and 2 half's of salads. Doors weren't open for whatever reason so I couldn't even pick up my order like it says to do so on the app. Let customers know the doors are gonna be closed and that you're gonna have to wait 1hr 1/2 for a simple order. Waited in the drive thru through the longest line ever to see if I was able to get my order just for them to tell me to park and take even longer. Extremely disappointed! We ordered through grubhub. Mind you we work 12hr shifts and all of us were looking forward to finally eating something. We noticed our order was missing and we called. Emily the manager was so unprofessional. I called stating the missing items (3 sandwiches, a smoothie and a fruit cup) the manager said the driver took the smoothie and there was a fruit cup. We didn't receive those items so maybe the driver ate them all lol. The manager also ended up hanging up my call and left me speaking. I went here to pick up a Postmates order. I go through the drive through because there's no parking and it's lunch rush hour. So I wait in line at the drive through and since I've NEVER had a problem going through any other drive throughs for Postmates orders, I didn't think this would be any different. Then it's finally my turn. When I speak to the lady at the mic she said she's unable to give me Postmates orders through the drive through and I need to walk in. Great! I just waited in line and I can't back up or go forward because there's a line in front of me and in back. Ugh! Then I wait another 10 mins for them to finish with the people in front of me. Keep in mind, local Postmates orders are a payout of $4 a delivery and rely mostly on tips. I'm upset because my time has been wasted. I wait at the window and wait another 3 mins or so. I see the girls in the window pointing at me and talking. Finally the "manager", Monique tells me the same thing and that that's the way her boss wants things done. Which is ridiculous because if you're partnered with Postmates you should have them put that in the app! Nowhere in the order did it say that (see screenshot). My boyfriend and I used the kiosk station and our sandwich sizes got mixed up. I ordered a full beef and cheese panini while my boyfriend ordered two half sandwiches. We got our orders and he definitely got two full sandwiches and I got half of my panini. My panini was so tiny, it looked like a kids' size. I know this Panera hasn't been opened as long as other locations but I hope service will improve cause I can see why people are leaving 1-2 star reviews.
