Never fails...every single time I come here they mess up my order. Today I ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 bowls of soup and said I wanted ALL sides baguettes. Normally this place is fine. Easy, cheap, and good food. But today I went around 1:50 and it was bad. I let them know when ordering "can I please split up the payment"(I'm ordering food for me and my coworkers, I need to split up the payments and I need receipts to get my money reimbursed) the girl told me to let them know at the window which I did and the girl at the window gave me so much attitude over "next time let them know when ordering" I let her know "I did!" she literally said "well I didn't get the memo" well that's not really my fault!! As I drove away I looked at my receipt and although she did CHARGE everything separately it was just one huge receipt (which doesn't make sense since all THREE of my orders were paid for SEPARATELY) so I got out of my car and went inside to ask separate receipts and was told by the team manager that I couldn't get separate receipts because it was one order (uhhh no it wasn't I let the girl when ordering wanted separate orders and she told me to tell the girl at the front) So I had them return my entire order. And once I had all three of my SEPARATE refunds, (because I paid for everything separately) I went ahead and asked her to go ahead and charge me again for the same order to the food I had literally already received and was right in front of me again. I think what rubbed me the wrong way MOST was the girl at the window. I understand that for whatever reason splitting up payments messes with your system but its not m fault your coworkers didn't let you know I wanted to split up the order and you really shouldn't be talking to customers like that if all I wanted was something as SIMPLE as paying separately. read more

I absolutely love Panera - primarily their bread and Mac N Cheese - like every other American! Unfortunately, they were out of Mac N Cheese and out of Bread. I get it, I went at 9:30p when the store closes as 10p, and they make everything fresh each day - but how can you be out of the Bread for a side? It's called Panera BREAD! I will still keep visiting here once/week, as I always do, but when I went there for the sole purpose of ordering a Large Mac N Cheese with a side of Bread, and you have neither, it's a total let down. read more

Been to Panera a few times already always had great customer service inside and drive thru!! The pick 2 is great!! Fills me up and I don't feel sleepy afterwards!! The cream of chicken and wild rice is my fave soup dipped with the yummy baguette, can't go wrong!! Chicken frontega panini is delish!! If I could give this Panera no stars I would. They run out of everything super early. And I know that's not faulty but trust me there's more. We went through the drive through around 8ish, it wasn't busy inside and we were the only guests. The guy kept rushing us to order. And then he kept telling us they were out of everything. He was super rude and obvious about it. We pay and get home to find items missing.. Are you kidding?! So after that I've lost any appetite I had with Panera and decide to take the food back and get my money. We walk in and the guy from the drive thru recognizes us and gives us a dirty glare. Really!! This is the guest service here??!! I speak to the manager, this tall lanky looking gentleman who's name was SKYE. He gave us our money and pretty much just laughed in our face and after we sat in the car in awe of what just happened and he was just laughing in the front window w his coworker. If anyone from upper management reads this Yelp review, your guest service is absolutely awful even management within the store was horrendous. I will never go back and I'd rather drive all the way down to Sierra Vista mall to get Panera.. Absolutely the worst service, and no customer concern at all. read more

Always had great experiences at this location.....never as busy as the one in riverpark so u don't have to fight long lines or stake out a table. Manager on several occasions has given my sister and I free bagels just for the heck of it. Management as well as employees really seem to appreciate their customers! I really like this place for a healthy filling lunch. The sandwiches are tasty and the salads are always FRESH. The service is helpful (menu was a little confusing) and friendly. The different flavored teas they have are amazing and outside patio area has a nice feel to it. The only reason I didn't give it a 5th star is it's a little pricey for a soups, salad, sandwich place that's completely self serve. Otherwise it's a good lunch spot. read more

I usually am very satisfied with this place and I go there often but today was just not good at all!!! Here is my email I sent to them about my lunch today which totally sucked!!! I placed an online order today to pick up on my lunch break because it's my Friday at work and I thought I would splurge on something delicious. I ordered from your Pick Two menu. I ordered the half roasted turkey & avocado BLT on asiago focaccia bread and half of a chicken Caesar salad with extra dressing, add avocado which was and extra charge. I paid online and went in to pick it up from the rapid pick up counter. I grabbed my food and went back to work. When I opened my sandwich I opened it up to adjust the ingredients that were falling out of it and noticed that there was only one medium piece of avocado and it was full of black spots on it and had the little hard part of the rind on it, not acceptable! I obviously love avocado's and was really looking forward to this sandwich. So I ate my avocado-less sandwich that was not satisfying at all. I opened up my salad next and found mostly lettuce, a bunch of croutons and 3-4 measly pieces of chicken and NO AVOCADO!!! Total disappointment! Not to mention the unwelcomed pieces of apple that I found at the bottom of my salad that I ate because I was hungry and had no other choice! And no, I could not drive all the way back to the restaurant to have them make my order over again. My lunch break is only 30 minutes. I have never had a problem at this restaurant before and I just could not believe this experience was so horrible. Please make sure that your staff are more careful when preparing the food. Also pay more attention to the quality of the food you are serving. I know that it was lunch time and it was busy but that's not my fault or my problem. My advice would be to check your order before leaving the restaurant if you are picking it up. read more

From sneezing on the bake goods to employees charging what they want for the same yogurt and bagel I always use to get, charged 3 different prices, the final straw was finding a hair in my salad and when I brought it to their attention the guy told me it's impossible, my hair is straight and black a brown curly hair was impossible. The first and only time i ever ate at a panera was when visiting my sister in new hampshire. it was good just like this new west shaw franchise is. personally i find the whole catagory a bit boring and that is why i only eat there once in a blue moon. it's just a personal thing though. if you're the kind of person who is good, and likes to put good things in your body that are good for you then this is your holy grail. you may treat your body like a temple but i'm busy treating mine like a tent. give me overly spicy mexican food that makes me sit on an ice pack for a week or some excellent pizza or teppan yaki. AWFUL location... I started ordering through the app since Covid and have found it works great for contactless pickup... I ordered through the app because I was getting new tires from the Costco in that area... I'm not very familiar with this side of town and somehow my order was sent to the wrong Panera... I went to the location I thought my order had been sent too but it wasn't the correct location after waiting for 8-9 mins and asking an employee for help.. I asked her if I could get the order filled at this location since I was there at that time and she told me I would have to repurchase the items.. after speaking with the manager Amanda she instructed me as well there was simply nothing she could do.. This place is great tbh I had to get over my fatass ways expecting big portions. I'm really changing this review because the staff are so great and the way they treated me tonight made me feel really guilty about my review. They couldn't make my entree for rapid pick up and they gave me a free desert item and also a free parfait. The catering department is not reliable at all! I ordered lunch for one of my clients. They didn't deliver the lunch and never called me to let me know. I called my client to follow up that they had received the lunch and they did not. Still no call from Panera Bread. I called in and talked with the manager on duty and he replied that it had been delivered at the designated time. I called my client again, no they still did not have the food. Called back again and this time he looked more into the order and couldn't confirm if it was delivered or not. And said he would cancel the order so I would not be charged and have the manager that was on duty when the order should been delivered contact me. I didn't receive a call from the manager and they delivered the food to my client without any communication to me. When I had talked with my client the day it supposed to be delivered I offered to have it delivered the next day and he said not to. So not only did my client not get the food the day I promised him, but now thinks I don't listen to him and just go ahead do I what I want. The whole situation is very disappointing and I don't understand why someone from Panera Bread couldn't pick up the phone and communicate with me. I use the catering service at least 2 to 3 times a month all over California. I'm so disappointed with the treatment and the handling of this situation that I will be using Corner Bakery instead. read more

The Herndon and Golden State Blvd never make enough sourdough bread to accommodate their customers. I went in again early morning to buy a couple loaves and their was only one but small loaf. Stopped here with the family on our way to Sonora and had a great experience. We really love Panera for the quality of food and options for the kids and it's a great go-to when we are travelling vs. other fast food type options. Andy, the manager was awesome. Friendly, attentive and overall amazing! It's very difficult to find such great talent these days and Andy is one-of-a-kind. He's a rare example of how all managers in the restaurant service industry should be. Lunch, I ordered their daily special which was a sandwich. I also added in chips, chicken noodle soup and a drink to go with it. It cost me about 11 bucks this order was to go they completed my order quickly. when I got back to work all the items were correct although, I was very unhappy to see that my sandwich was super sloppy and poorly made and my soup had about three noodles and not exaggerating it had 1 tiny shredds of chicken. Way to expensive for the portions given. This is really a healthy conscious eater whom will pay more to get far less. Its three for five or five for three " I'll take the five for three, and a soda with a cup made from recycled parachutes from Guatemala". The food is good. There was too much on the menu, and we had to let lots of people go in front of us because it took forever to decide on... I got a sandwich and salad, my bf got a sandwich and soup. As you enter the door you notice the overflowing trash cans that have been neglected by the less than attentive staff. As you order you can't help but notice the kitchen's prep stations still have old avacados, bread and lettuce laying out probably hours after they've outlived their usefulness. If you still choose to order don't bother asking for a baguette, you know it's dumb expecting a bread shop to have bread. Choosing a table is much like a fun game of "which is less disgusting?!" almost none of the tables were bussed and I noticed a receipt on the floor from 3 hours prior. After a while, instead of seeing the pager light up I hear my name screeched across the restaurant. This place has permanently lost my business. This was my first time eating at Panera Bread and I would recommend it to people but it wasn't for me. The sandwich that I've ordered was soggy and the tomatoes didn't taste fresh. The quality of food is not factored in on this review. ) Visited Panera on West Shaw yesterday afternoon with my mother, after a day of shopping. We utilized the drive-through and the comedy of errors began. We had a simple order of two flatbread sandwiches, two bag of chips, and two smoothies... EASY! Not quite. After leaving receiving what we thought to be our order, we drove off, only to realize blocks away that we were given the wrong order. We received 2 smoothies, a tube of children's yogurt and mashed potatoes. WRONG!!! Immediately, we turned around and got back in the drive through line to correct matters. There was no one in line so we were able to pull right to the front window... Where we waited several minutes, without notice. Finally, the same employee as before came to attention. He knew right away we had the right order and said he would fix it. We gave him the "wrong" order we received and then the wait began... several more minutes passed before he came back to the window and offered us to keep the "wrong" order as it would just go to waste. We accepted. However, confusion set in, as we opened the bag to now see it was once again an entirely different order. This one now had a small bowl of chicken soup, and a piece of bread. As laughter set in, we just shook our heads wondering where the yogurt and mashed potatoes had gone! All we could think, was that the guy was one off on everyone's orders somehow. Oh, well-- hopefully our "CORRECT" order would be handed over soon. Several more minutes passed and we finally got it. By now, nearly 10 minutes had passed since our 2nd visit began. And... well-- again, the order was wrong. A minor fault, but now we were still missing one of the bag of chips! But, the employee had disappeared. So, again... we waited for his return... Upon which, we let him know of the next chapter of the mistake. Without hesitation, he handed over the remaining bag of chips... Overall, it was a headache full of laughs, amid the frustrations of a very hot day and the common sense that such antics should not be occurring. The food as usual was fine.... But the ordering process and obstacle of simply receiving what was ordered was a different story! I would like to think the guy working was just having a hard day. Most likely he was... But, by the end of everything, I sure was hoping this wasn't a regular occurrence of his. Not everyone is as patient as we were. At least we were able to laugh through the ordeal! read more

We went here with my family for a Sunday night dinner. I have never eaten here, but had heard good things. First thing I noticed were the prices. Very expensive for this type of food. We ended up spending quite a bit for soup and sandwiches. But I have spent more on worse food. The place was kinda messy. It appears that the place does not get cleaned up to often. The food was ok and very small portions. My kids would argue that they have the best mac and cheese in the world. I was very disappointed with the food and the prices. It is just too expensive. We could have had Tahoe Joes for about what we paid for here. I will not be coming back. However, I think my kids will make me take them back for the mac and cheese. read more

I love the sandwiches here. They have a delicious sun dried tomato bread. The workers are always really nice and whether I go In or through the drive thru I get my food quickly. They also have good breakfast sandwiches. I like the bacon Asiago and it's less than $5 so about the same as getting a bagel sandwich. They have good soup and baked goodies. They re a bit pricey but it always fills me up and I don't feel super gross afterwards. It's nice and quick for when we're ordering for lunch and we can just run and pick it up. I still think it's a bit weird that if you call in an order they out in on a shelf in the lobby. What if someone else picks it up? I'm sure there's a method to it I just think it's a bit strange. read more

Consistently good, clean and a great destination for my dog and I on our walk, the patio is perfect for us. I have to finish my coffee before I go as the design of the to-go cup has a lip that consistently causes it to drip??? I'm sure that wasn't the intention though it is a fact!
