I feel like I've tried almost every pastry at Paris Baguette and they were just okay. Today, I wanted to get a flaky pastry but didn't have any expectations that it would be awesome at Paris Baguette. The cashier was polite and rang us up quickly. I asked if they heated pastries up and he said yes, took my pastries and heated them up and brought them right back to me. Tables looked bussed. It was 8:00 pm. We were super surprised our ham & Brie and ham & cheese pastries tasted so fresh, including the ham, cheese, and Brie. They were also less than $4 each so we were totally happy. I ask the cashier to get the table cleaned, and he says yes, and it never happens. This is where I had to clean the table by myself, because the staff did not want to. EITHER I CLEAN IT MYSELF, or Tell the staff to do their job as a customer. As a paying customer, this is very BAD service. I would not suggest coming to this location. This location is about half as big as other locations I've been to, but it's right next to Dollar Tree and CVS and I've got a hankering for dinner! This is our go-to breakfast place. They offer a variety of delicious pastries of different flavors and textures, with fruits, creams, nuts, sprinkles, bite-size, large buns -- they have it. During celebrations, I always get boxes of pastries here as gifts or pot-luck contribution. They also have toasts and sandwiches. My favorite is the their Tuna Salad Sandwich. Aside from that, they have a good selection of special cakes and desserts. I love their chocolate cakes and creme brûlée. They also have salad and fruit bowls for healthier options. This is a chain business and I'm obsessed with it! I go here every time I'm in town, I would love one to open in Reno! This location is conveniently located next to a spa business that I frequent so it's perfect for lunch after a massage and some pampering. I think I'm somewhat of a aficionado when it comes to cheesecake. I make my own New York style and have had many different types over the years. I only like the plain with maybe berries on the side. I guess I'm a cheesecake purist...the real trick is not getting the cake to sweet, that can ruin it in my humble opinion. This place has the PERFECT pre-packaged cheesecakes I have ever had. Paris Baguette always has pretty high quality, fresh pastries. They are a bit pricey at around $4 each. We got a hot dog croissant bread and chocolate nut pastry, which were both yummy but the latter lacked chocolate flavor. We also got the seasonal cookie butter latte with oat milk, which was a bit too sweet and did not have much cookie butter flavor. You pick the pastries out of the displays yourself and then go to the cashier for any drink or cake orders. There is plenty of seating, but they are often littered with crumbs so you have to clean it up yourself. I used to go to a Paris Baguette often but stopped going several years back. However, I was passing by and decided to check out this new location. I came on the opening weekend (Sunday) in the morning and it was not crowded at all. At first, I was a bit confused as to where the trays and wax paper were, but as previous review as noted, they can be found to the left when you enter and the wax paper is in a small semi-hidden shelf under the trays. The selection was quite small, but this store seems to be on the smaller side as a whole compared to the one in Santa Clara on El Camino and likely geared more towards lunch items as they had a decent array of sandwiches and salads. Seating is a bit limited so likely you may need to take your food to go. I did try: Crab croquette which was a bit disappointing. The pastries were not quite warm when I got them, making me wonder a bit how long they were there. Since it already wasn't warm this was actually one I took home and heat up a bit which I believes improves the flavor. Definitely something I didn't want to eat cold since it was clearly dripping in oil. Chocolate ganache bombalone. A bun that was filled with chocolate cream and covered in chocolate ganache. For me, the cream inside this was way too sweet--it was actually a little overwhelming. I was glad I went to Starbucks a bit earlier and the coffee helped me eat this pastry. Chicken salad sandwich. I actually really like the sandwiches at Paris baguette. Again, I was not disappointed with my choice as the bread was soft and tender, and the ingredients seemed quite fresh. The price may be a bit steep, but I actually split this with my mother and we were able to eat some pastries as well. Tiramisu tart. I'm not sure, but this wasn't quite what I was expecting. The flavor was not too bad, but the tart crust, which should be a main highlight, was not very crunchy and more soggy. It was all right, but I'm not sure I would get it again especially at $3 for that size. Potato cheese ball. I was actually thinking about and craving Porto's the other day (only in southern California unfortunately), and they have something similar for less than a dollar each. Certainly, I cannot find such a reasonable price in the Bay area, but I thought I would give this a try. Actually, they used nacho cheese which I wasn't quite expecting and was a bit overpowering. Not my first choice due to the nacho cheese, but not bad. Would have preferred some other melted cheese instead. Blueberry lemon scone. I have to admit I never had a good (aka not dry to death) scone before but that's now on my bucketlist after watching an episode of America's Test Kitchen. This was not overly hard but overall inside felt like it wasn't cooked (soggy, mushy). Flavor wasn't bad but guess I'll continue my quest for a good scone. Bought so much to reach the $20 minimum for the free bag given on opening weekend, but definitely couldn't see us hitting $40 for the nice mug and insulated bag. One part being from the smaller selection they had available. The staff, from my limited interaction, was nice and efficient. This location is the smallest one I've seen so far but the most comfortable and most intimate. I think it's just right. They have a small seating area and a standing bar which is great. I also think this location was a smart move with the population we have here in SV. This plaza is booming with great surroundings. I can totally see myself stopping in and grabbing a coffee & pastry while reading my book. Today is the grand opening! It's a bit of a tight walkway to grab food and some food trays on the bottom row have no glass doors so make sure your little ones aren't grabbing the buns. I saw a mom group leave their tray of food on the table. Please clean up after yourself. This is a cafe, and the trash containers were right behind you. There's a trash, recycle, and compost section. Very cool and environmentally friendly. Came around lunch time and some of the items already ran out. But I love that there is many hotdog variations. They also sell premade sandwich and salad sets. We didn't get baguette. A friend brought dessert. I was skeptical, because many fancy desserts look beautiful, but do not taste good. We had a strawberry vanilla, a strawberry chocolate, and a mango. First off the sponge cake is excellent, light and airy. This is not traditional heavy American Betty crocker cake. Nor is it super sweet sugared frosting. It is a light as a cloud Chantilly cream. The strawberry cakes are layers of thin cake with Chantilly cream and sliced fresh strawberries layered in between. We did not care for the chocolate one. It had no flavor, but the vanilla version was excellent. The mango cake is the same, with sliced mango in place of the strawberries. Bottom line, this cake will not leave you feeling gross and sluggish. Just stick to the vanilla sponge and you can't go wrong. read more

My mom and I were shopping in the area and decided to stop into Paris Baguette. Both of us have never been and were curious to see what they offered. We decided to get a couple of pastries to share. We tried the vegan blueberry muffin, spiced pumpkin muffin, and the cream cheese filled donut. My favorite of the pastries we tried was the vegan blueberry muffin by far. It was sweet and really soft. I also enjoyed the spiced pumpkin muffin because it was sweet but too overwhelming with pumpkin like some other pumpkin flavored food products can be. I was not a fan of the cream cheese filled donut. It was too chewy and barely had any cream cheese in it. I don't know if we got a faulty donut or what happened, but it was not good. Pastries are around $2-4/each, so it can defiantly add up quick if you want to try a little bit of everything. However, it is worth to treat yourself to some nice pastries every once in awhile. Went to pick up my chocolate strawberry birthday cake. Ended up picking up the cake and bought a party hat and creme brulee. The creme brulee was too good with perfect texture and flavor. A perfect dish to try here. The cake was really moist with a lot of cream in between the layers and fruits on the top. The chocolate cake layer was perfect, with the right about of moisture. There was fresh strawberry mixed with the cream between one of those layers. But the main thing that I noticed was that it seemed to lack sugar, and was light and fluffy that you do not feel full even after eating a big piece. After just recently returning from a long stay in Vietnam where there a few PB's scattered around in certain districts around Saigon. Nice to see this newly opened PB near a coworking space I stop in every so often. Paris Baguette is ubiquitous in South Korea, similar to Mickey D's presence in the US. Not a huge space compared to a few other PB's for the WI-FI campers. For all of their sweet French inspired pastries with an Asian twist I typically stick to the savory like these Fried Chicken Curry Croquettes. Not enough Fried Chicken? Sooooo excited that paris baguette is finally in sunnyvale! My mom and i are great fans of this bakery and are excited that one is super close to home. Best part is that its near my work as well. I got quite a bit of sweet breads with fruit, egg sandwich bundle and a large hazelnut iced latte. Everything i had gotten were delicious. I had a selection for my friend to choose from since it was her birthday and not only did she love them, but the whole office loved the goodies. On top of that, my iced latte was so good. I cant tell you enough on how many times ordering lattes from places and it being too sweet and no expresso being found, but they did well on mines. All n all, check out the new location. Friendly staff, clean and aesthetically pleasing and yummy. Everything that i got were about $20, well worth it. The fruit on the breads tasted so fresh and sweet.
