I used to pay $5 for hemming this time it was $9 each. When I picked them up they were on hangers and covered with a sheet of plastic. Being a environmentalist, I told the woman that I didn't want the hangers or plastic since it was bad for the environment. She took the jeans off the hangers and proceeded to bend up the hangers and stuff them and the plastic into her "trash" bin. read more

BEWARE****** They ruined my designer silk blouse that I had had for five years! That blouse had been taken to various other dry cleaners on numerous occasions over the years that I had it, but Paris Cleaners was the only place that managed to ruin it! They kept my blouse to try to fix it, but they couldn't, when I returned a week later. They didn't even offer me a refund. Wish I had never ever gone there. My blouse can no longer be worn. It's just gone. I pay good money for my garments because I keep them forever. A five-year-old blouse ruined. A part of me feels like they did it on purpose because there was an older man standing in the background listening to me tell the lady helping in front that my blouse was ruined, and he just looked at me like he didn't care, while she made excuses. They have lost my business. I used to come here very regularly. Ive brought them so many dresses and clothings for alterations. Recently, I brought a dress to hem that I've had 2 more dresses of the same exact one. Same brand, same style etc which they hemmed for me. The price they charged me this time was 1.5x the price I paid in the past. When I mentioned why she had charged me much more than last time, she said the price differs based off the flare, and layers. I understand that but I had gotten the exact dress in a different color hemmed from them before, how has the price increased so much just from 1 month ago. I even have receipts from the past. I will not be coming back as this place is not honest. I've never cared about cost here before but to charge me 1.5x what I paid in the past for the same exact dress is just not honest business. Fantastic place at the corner of National and Sawtelle to take your pants to be shortened and hemmed. It's only $5 per pants, even denim. If there is a lining it is $10.50. Most places in the area are $10 for regular non lined hems. Service is friendly and the turnaround time to get your pants hemmed is a week. Pay when you pick up. I think they take debit cards but I usually pay in cash because it is so inexpensive and I hope they can continue to be so affordable. Easy parking in the lot since they share with chase bank and other businesses. Look for the big sign advertising the $5 pant hemming on the sidewalk. read more

We had one of the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experiences of recent memory here. My wife brought her suede bag in and asked if it would be possible to dry clean it without damage or discoloration, and was assured that it would be fine. When we went to pick up the bag, it was a completely different color, the leather strap was several shades lighter, and overall the material had lost its stiffness. I pointed out that the bag was much lighter than it had been before it had been dry cleaned, and the man working there denied this claim and said that "the bag was darker before because it was dirty." This was obviously not true, which I pointed out, and I asked him if there was anything he could do, to which he replied that there was not. I politely expressed my dissatisfaction with the extreme change in color, and he continually denied it/ told me that there was "nothing he could do." Finally he merely turned his back and walked away from me and left me standing at the front counter holding the bag and looking at him. He obviously wasn't going to say anything else to me, so I left. I was shocked and appalled by his rudeness and lack of willingness to even address my concern, and the other two employees sitting near the front desk doing some hemming merely glared at me and remained silent. I would definitely encourage you to go elsewhere even if it means a further drive or a less convenient location, because the awful customer experience here truly left a bad taste in my mouth and ruined the next few hours of my day. read more

Other than that this place is a little pricey in my opinion and a pain in the butt to get in and out of the parking lot. Conveniently located in West LA, but it's close to the freeway and on a corner of an intersection with makes it a hassle to easily stop in and pick up your clothes. Would not recommend. I was told that they would dry clean my suit and lab coat and they would give me a call when ready. The estimate was 5-days. Fast forward 2-weeks, and no call :/ I called and they said my clothes were ready. I show up and they did not clean one of the coats I dropped off. They said it was rejected... I've been coming to Paris Dry cleaners since I moved to the area recently. They always had the best customer service. Recently I got a big oil stain on my favorite sweater. I tried everything to try to remove it but it wouldn't come out. After bringing it here the sweater looked as if it was the first day I bought it. I was amazed at the look of it. I dropped off over 3000 dollars of designer items made of wool, silk, cotton, etc. They were returned to me damaged, shrunk, and completely ruined beyond repair with major appliqués and details completing torn or melted. When I went back after speaking to the woman regarding the damage, an old man who seemed to be the owner. Dismissed my entire point and proceeded to tell me he could either refund the cost of the service or see him in court. I don't care about a 60 dollar refund when thousands of dollars of rare sold out items were destroyed. Can't wait to take these cheap assholes to court for their complete lack of customer service. I love this place for their alterations. I live in Torrance, but will drive all the way here to get my alterations done because they're good, efficient and cheap. You can get pants hemmed for $5! Being vertically-challenged, or a midget, depending on who you ask, I always have to get everything altered. I can do it myself, and even though I'm cheap Chinese, I can't even argue when it's $5, because it's seriously not worth my time to bust out my sewing machine. Plus, I take jeans in too, and you know you can bust needles off the machine if it's not heavy duty. I'm so ignorant, I have no idea what Middle Eastern they are, but there are always ladies in there and they're really nice. They always have it ready when promised. Don't expect any frills, it's a tiny place, with a dressing room door that's hanging by a thread, but they get the job done. I've also had sleeves shortened, waists taken in on casual and business clothing and all have been done professionally. The only thing I don't like is the parking lot, which is sometimes packed with WaMu customers. That, and you can't make a left out of the tiny driveway if there's a lot of traffic. read more

Owner and staff are very professional and I get my close back in a timely manner and always in perfect condition. They have gotten stains out of shirts and pants, that I thought could never be done. This is a new review to replace my previous one. I am so tired of the horribly rude staff at both the Gateway/Pico and Sawtelle/National locations. First, I took pants to be repaired at the Sawtelle location. They charged me for the patch and just failed to repair the pants. When I brought them back, the staff tried to get me to pay AGAIN for the repair (that they never did). Second, the manager at the Sawtelle location sent me to the Pico location because his location couldn't do same day dry cleaning. I asked him if they would accept competitor coupons and he said that they did. After driving to the other location, a rude woman there told me that they didn't accept those coupons and she didn't know why the other store would have said so. So, basically they just wasted my time. When I called the Sawtelle location for clarification, the person that I spoke with previously said that he never told me that. He told me, and this part is just funny, that my question was "Do you accept your coupons?" REALLY?! read more

I hesitated on going here for a dress alteration because of the so-so reviews. I actually planned to go to Crest Cleaners, but see my review on why I chose NOT to use their services. Enter Liberty Cleaners... I called 5/13 to request a quote for the dress alteration, informing the gentleman who answered about the material and where I wanted the dress altered (in the chest area b/c I ordered too large of a size in case I gained weight before the wedding I'm in... never gained any, great for me, but now I had a very large dress). He advised me that he is the one that does the alterations and told me his hours (mornings), the estimate of the alteration ($25-35) and said that I could come any time they're open and someone would assist me in the measurements. Awesome, I chose to go here b/c he was nice, polite, and gave me a range (which is all I need b/c I know realistically it depends on the alteration). 5/14: I go in and am immediately asked how I can be helped by Emanda (sp?). I inform her I spoke with the man the day before and she directs me where I can change to try it on. I try it on, she does some adjustments, confirming a couple of times that its the right fit for me. That made me glad to know she truly wanted to make sure. She told me it would be a week, asking if that was OK timing, and informing me I could call to see if it is available even earlier. Awesome... Picked up my dress 5/20 as planned. Same woman was again nice, the dress fit perfectly, and it was $24 and some change, so on the lower end of the range. Totally appreciated that! Bottom Line - Good, honest work. This is the only place I come to get stuff hemmed. I've never used their dry cleaning services. It's $5 to get pants hemmed, which to me is dirt cheap. I also had them hem a 1 inch hole in a shirt . That also cost $5. That seemed a little steep to me, but since it was about 2 years since I had the hole and never fixed it myself, $5 then became a total bargain. It takes about 1 week to get your stuff back. They are not open on Sundays, but have good hours M-F and limited hours on Saturday. read more

Here's my story with liberty cleaners, my first time here was 2 weeks ago to my dress hemmed. It was the dec 30th and it was my new years dress which I bought online and received on the 30th. when I tried it on it was dragging on the floor. I went to 3 other places they said its almost impossible that it will be ready for next day pick up. So I went to liberty cleaners based on their great yelp reviews and the lady overthere was so nice. She Agreed to hem my dress, she charged me a very reasonable price. I even asked her if she's gonna charge extra since I'm picking it the next day she said she won't. I took my dress the next day the hemming was exactly like the original hem it was all clean. They did a pretty nice clean job. This week I took my laundry there, few hours later I got a call from them saying that my laundry has a cashmere sweater that needs dry cleaning. I really appreciated how they sort the laundry and not just drop it all in the washing machine as most cleaners do. I love dropping my laundry there. I highly recommend them to those who want their laundry done at a good descent place. read more

I have had alterations done here, and my husband has had a LOT of dry cleaning and laundry taken care of here. He was quite happy with their work (fast and reasonable, clothes were presented beautifully) after being dissatisfied with other cleaners. Absolutely perfect alterations on my Dolce & Gabbana jeans, and very inexpensive. Where Ruffcut and another nearby cleaners wanted to charge me 10$+ per button, Liberty charged me $3.50. But they did a nice job although I never got a call when it was done. It wasn't a rush job but still a call would have been nice.
