Food was fine, we had breakfast. Service was a bit slow, there were only 3 table sat and it took 15 minutes to be greeted. Prices are quite high for what you get but you are in a hotel.

We just made it in time to try out their corn-themed menu! The best part about Trestle was coming with my partner, as the 2 of us were able to order everything on the menu to try! Our dinner consisted of: -Corn soup: one of my favorites from this menu! The corn soup tasted very light and very sweet. Could have licked the bowl on this one. -Caesar salad with cornbread croutons (I repeat - CORNBREAD CROUTONS!!!) -Corn risotto with shrimp: tasted like jambalaya to me -Cornflake-crusted salmon -Pork chop with elote: my second favorite. I usually do not like eating pork, but the way Trestle cooked this pork was insane. I imagined that they used a sous vide, because the meat was so juicy and tender. -Olive oil cake with corn cream -Rich brownie and caramel corn cluster - topped with a birthday candle, so I could make a wish! Customer service was great. Trestle really made us feel like guests of honor, and they were thrilled that we chose Trestle to celebrate my 30th. What I found so cute was that the waiter gave us a guest book to sign! I would come back again in a heartbeat.

Good wine and cocktail selection from the bar. I would pass on their burgers though which are mediocre. What makes this place 5-stars is the service and ambiance. Some of their staff have been there for several years, which is a testament to how well the restaurant is run. Since it's along the Embarcadero and close to Fisherman's Wharf, a lot of tourists tend to wander in. And this is probably why their website says there's a strict dress code. But I feel comfortable coming here in shorts and a t-shirt. The staff is always welcoming. I also go to the Los Altos Grill which is the same restaurant as Hillstone. The menu is pretty much the same, but the service at Hillstone is just excellent.

Today me and my wife stopped in for lunch as we have a few times before. It was a warm day in the Bay Area today and we were out walking so I wore a nice sleeveless shirt. It was nice, new and clean. The hostess asked me to cover my shoulders but I said I didn't have anything with me. She sent the manager over. The manager told me no sleeveless shirts for men are allowed in her restaurant. Mind you this is lunch. Not dinner. This is not a super fancy place. Me and my wife were both properly and nicely dressed. I politely told her that I identify as a woman. She said it didn't matter. I said so you misspoke a moment ago and male or female cannot wear sleeveless shirts? She said correct. I looked around and there was a woman behind us wearing a sleeveless shirt. Not nearly as nice as mine or dressed as nice as me. I said ok I will wait here while you turn her away too. The manager then became very rude and said she isn't going to serve me no matter what. I told her are you sure about this and she said yes and asked me to leave. How embarrassing. I have never been turned away from any establishment in my life. Is this not discremenation due to my gender? Businesses have the right to refuse service to anyone unless it is for race, gender or age. I will be contacting an attorney this week. This is not ok. This is not right and I will stand up for my rights and the rights of others.

The location is fantastic, the service was the best, the food was divine, and the value was great! I ordered the raspberry lemonade which came fresh and delicious, and my wife and I split the blueberry mascarpone crunch french toast, the bulgogi fried rice, and the famous millionaire's bacon sampler platter. The French toast was just perfectly prepared and the flavors are amazingly on point. Just the ultimate morning sweet treat! Not joking or exaggerating, the bulgogi fried rice was the best I've ever had, and we have some very good options in Reno, but this was served so perfectly cooked, seasoned, and with the best quality beef that it was immaculate. The beef melted in my mouth where usually bulgogi is very chewy, this was not, just perfection. Then, while I would be guaranteed to return for the bulgogi alone, the millionaire's bacon flight was absolutely fantastic. Each piece of bacon was buttery smooth, extremely flavorful, and absolutely tasty in every way. My wife's favorite was the cinnamon, but I think mine was the original closely followed by the rosemary. The citron was sweet and light, the cinnamon was sugary and savory, the original was saucy and spicy, and the rosemary was fragrant and smoky. I am adding this place straight to my favorites and cannot wait to return. I'd recommend you do the same!

I was slightly disappointed that it was chunks of meat instead of a whole Leg quarter that was in some of the pics. The japchae was really good, but I could've done without the rice underneath. We arrived at 6pm and there was plenty of seating, but by 7pm the place was pretty full.

From changes in the menu to headcount, she was so receptive and gave great recommendations. Everyone was thrilled with the venue and food selection. Everything served was delicious and well appreciated. My personal favorite were the raw items- the beef tartare, sushi, and oysters were divine. The beef tartare had such a thoughtful presentation, as it was served with Asian pear upon a delicate rice cracker. I also loved the french fries and housemade potato chips that were ordered! The truffled ham and cheese croquettes had a delightful creamy spice to them due to the harissa inside them, it was so savory with a layered flavor to them. I also loved the chicken tsukune, everything was amazing to lay our eyes on and to eat. I think my very minor issue would be that I ordered non-alcoholic beverage packages for my entire party and alcoholic beverages for a few, and I would say that the selection could be a bit more expansive and also elaborate upon what beverages there are to choose from. An inclusive cocktail package would be fantastic. I would recommend this location for anyone looking to host a corporate event nearby Fidi.

We ordered the Caesar salad with pomegranate seeds and pink peppercorn, as well as the wood-roasted pork belly with squash mole to start, and split the marinated flank steak. The dishes were very vegetable heavy, which we loved, since it didn't leave us feeling heavy at the end of the meal. The pork belly was our favorite dish, as it was so incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed the pepitas seeds mixed in. In retrospect, I think we definitely should have ordered the glassy potato, which we were advised was a menu standout, but we didn't listen!! Everything was delicious though, I just will definitely have to come back to try this dish! I do wish their outdoor patio was better heated, I was super cold throughout the meal and had to use my partner's coat to cover my legs. I also wish they gave people the option to book covered patio vs. indoor as I definitely would have preferred to sit inside the main part of the restaurant. Still recommend though!
