a plate of food on a table

Chef Paulie does it again with the addition of pastry extraordinaire Chef B. Tonight's menu was cordon bleu broccoli rabe, french onion soup and chocolate cheese cake swirl with fresh berries. Everything was cooked to perfection and the cheesecake was like eating a slice of heaven. For those of you who haven't ble to get on the invite list, your bucket list will never be complete until you do.

My go to is the Seoul bowl it's so good and perfectly marinated while still being health conscious 5/5. The newer tikka masala has been a fav lately- it's veggie based but the spices and flavor are on point, just as delicious as a non-vegan dish! I think with soy meat it could be even better, I'll see if that's an option next time, but this was 4.5/5. West coast shrimp side is really satisfying and savory. I rly should try more items here but it's hard to deviate from my favs haha. |[ s i p ]| Drinks are also decent but the star for me here is the food. I really look forward to more new food items to come. |[ n o t e s ]| Parking lot is small and kinda hit or miss but it's worth it. :) Ambiance- cute brunch spot while still health conscious.

While I am not at all vegan, it can be a fantastic change of pace when trying a cuisine that is not at all my regular routine. Happily, Variable has tons of choices, and we loved what we got. I was drawn towards the 'N Seoul Bowl' (Korean spicy plant based pork, house marinated Kimchi, organic edamame, steamed organic spinach, carrot, steamed broccoli, onion , organic shiitake, topped with green onion and sesame seeds and side organic quinoa). So good, a bit spicy, and so many flavors on the plate it was impossible to not only love it, but I could not finish it, either. That goes from all their dishes. They are big, and in our experience, it came out piping hot soon after ordering it. My companion tried the 'Indian Tikka Masala' (homemade Indian curry, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, yellow squash, potatoes, cabbage, chickpea, micro green, Served with blend wild Jasmin rice and Indian Flat Bread). Tastes so fresh, hearty, with just enough of a kick to it. I look forward to trying some of their other dishes, too. The burger that the table near us ordered looked fantastic. I gotta think that everything here is pretty dang great.

It's one of those spots that's worth the occasional splurge because the quality is just that good. The Spanish Latte is easily one of my favorites and a must-try if you're visiting for the first time. But if you know about the secret menu... sheeeesh. I'll have to gatekeep that one. Let's just say it's hands-down the best latte I've ever had. Perfect balance, amazing flavor notes, and one of those drinks that makes you stop and appreciate how good coffee can actually be. The atmosphere is just as great as the coffee. There are games to play, cozy corners to hang out in, and little hidden gems throughout the shop if you're paying attention. It's the kind of place where you can grab a drink and end up staying way longer than you planned. A true Venice classic and still one of the best coffee spots I've ever been to. Staff is amazing and just feels just a community, they make the experience feel incredible for just getting a coffee

We all ordered the World Famous Hot Vanilla Latte, which is made with vanilla syrup, espresso, and steamed milk. While I usually go for one of their matcha drinks or something a little sweeter, I had not had this latte in a while and figured it was time to order it again. It was great for the weather and exactly what I was in the mood for. I normally visit the Studio City location but this Marina del Rey location was a pleasant surprise. It is right by the marina, so you can enjoy your drink while watching the boats go by. The cafe also has a cute nautical theme that gives it a different feel from many of Alfred's other locations. The service was friendly and efficient and our drinks came out quickly and exactly as ordered. Parking was also very convenient. The parking lot offers two hours of free parking with validation and all of the businesses validate. Since we were there for longer than two hours, I simply drove out and back in. Overall, this is a great Alfred location if you are in the Marina del Rey area. Between the waterfront views, easy parking, and consistently good drinks, it is definitely worth stopping by.

You can tell a lot of thought went into creating a spot that feels both welcoming and unique. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were incredible. Easily one of those dishes where you're already thinking about coming back before you finish your plate. For drinks, I got the Glory Latte and it was perfect. The espresso actually shines through, and it's not overloaded with sweetness like a lot of specialty lattes can be. If you're looking for a simple, well-made latte, this is it. And if you've got more of a sweet tooth, they've got plenty of creative specialty drinks to choose from too. This place feels like it's about to become a local favorite. Definitely a new go-to spot, and I'll be bringing all my homies from the area here soon. Highly recommend.
