What a horrible experience. I've only dined in the one in Tempe before. Decided to stop here for a late dinner and everything was horrible. ALL the tables were dirty there was hair on our table we couldn't even move to another one cause they ALL had food crumbs, I went to go grab utensils and there was about 4-6 on each and they were all dirty with a white film I had to ask for plastic ones. EVERYTHING was dirty chairs plates utensils. The food was horrible we had the feast for 3 beef broccoli with noodles meat was rough and NO SAUCE on the noodles, firecracker chicken, barely any sauce, Thai coconut curry chicken barely tasted like curry. Lettuce wraps had a horrible taste and the lettuce had black stuff on it. Our Thai donuts weren't cooked all the way either. Zero customer service. From past experience at another location usually they had someone walk around and ask if we needed anything didn't happen here. Such a disappointment. They really need to clean, train on customer service, and get new Cooks. read more

I ordered the Kale Quinoa Chicken Salad and the 4 piece Mango California Sushi. My wife ordered the Mongolian bowl with chicken over mixed greens instead of rice. The ingredients looked fresh with vibrant colors. We were pleased with our entree choices. I think they position themselves as a upper scale fast food place with healthier ingredients and I would agree with our experience today, but you may want to pay attention to calorie count if that is a concern. read more

What a frustrating experience! Ordered my food online because I was in back to back meetings and wasn't going to have time for much of a lunch break. Placed order at 10:45 for pickup at 11:15. Arrived at 11:10 and didn't get my order until 11:30. OK so it's only 15 minutes but when you're in a rush and you planned ahead of time, waiting that extra 15 minutes is not good. The frustrating part was that there was one person behind the counter taking walk in orders, answering the phone, AND preparing to go orders! I have two stars: one because the girl behind the counter was nice, polite and friendly and another because, as always, the food was great! It's just a bummer that they took so long. read more

Drunken noodles is one of my favorite Thai dishes, except at Pei Wei. Not sure where celebrity chef Tila got the recipe from but it's all wrong. Ask Google for the recipe, easy to find something authentic and good. The sauce is way too sweet and the dish had way too much of it. The noodles are also wrong, but that can be forgiven as it's a food cost thing. The chicken was dry, probably another of their recipes that uses pre cooked chicken. This was the most disappointing version of pad kee mao / drunken noodles I have every had. Total waste of time and money! read more

I have tried different locations of Pei Wei, but I will just rate the Avondale one because that is the one I go to more often. It is OK, service is good. The favor of the food is either sweet, hot, or salty. I can not taste the different between Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese cuisines. This place is pretty alright. The tables may be a bit tall for a short person and the service may not be as I wanted it to be but maybe it's because it's my first time coming here for lunch. I went here before and the atmosphere is so much better around dinner time; I would highly recommend. I find that this chain Asian fusion restaurant has gone downhill recently. Perhaps it is only the Avondale location? My go to dish here is the honey seared tofu with brown rice. The last couple of times I have had it however, I found the tofu to be extremely chewy and there was way too much sauce on my meal. As far as prices go, they are reasonable and the portions are generous. Although I'm not in a hurry to return to this restaurant, I would consider giving it another try in the distant future. read more

We love going here. We love the friendly, quick service and quality meals. Dillon, the manager, is really good. He is friendly and helpful with suggestions. Food is delicious and has good variety from Sushi to Chicken & Noodle/Rice bowls. It's kind of a midway point between Panda Express and P. F. Chang's. You also earn loyalty program points. The online wait/ takeout is so unbelievably horrible I can't believe I waited the amount of time I did. I find it crazy how I waited for 1:26. First of all, you should be told ahead of time that is your wait time. People order because they're hungry not because they'll be hungry later. Twice I have gotten honey seared shrimp to-go and 3 of the "shrimp" was nothing but batter. The first time I contacted the manager and was invited to come in and have a free meal, I obliged, and it was delicious. But the next week, same thing happened. Just ok for my first try. It was clean, organized and the staff were great. I got the spicy chicken bowl. I have to make a disclaimer, I love and have eaten Asian food all over the world, so I have pretty high expectations. If it's not authentic I'll know it right away. Having said that, this is a chain restaurant. It's portioned for profit, just enough and no more. My meal tasted like it could have come frozen from a bag. Sauce pre-made probably bottled. I really love Pei Wei, and generally have a good experience at this location. I usually always order to-go, and my order is almost always ready with no wait time when I show up. The only thing lacking, is the consistency of orders. Sometimes they really lack in providing more than tiny, skimpy portions for to-go orders. Other times, you get more than what is expected! It just seems to vary each time. And they often run out of cookies or certain other items, which is frustrating. But overall, they are really good and easy to order with! The food quality is almost always up to par, and I love being able to redeem points for my orders, as well as always being offered a water if I have to wait for my order to finish, even if it is my fault for arriving a little early. This is a place I will continue to give business to. They have really good food for a very decent cost and are always friendly and trying to make it a good experience. While I was visiting AZ a while back, a co-worker treated me to lunch here. I loved it! I wish they would bring this franchise to Chicago. Basically, you order at the register, they give you a number, then they bring it to your table. Same concept as Corner Bakery. I had the Mongolian Beef on Fried Rice. So good!
