However, this review isn't really about that...today, while enjoying lunch with my family, we had the misfortune of sitting next to an extremely rude woman, who to make a long story short, made unreasonable demands, attempted to bully the manager and generally made other patrons uncomfortable by the unnecessary scene she was making. I would like to give a shout-out to the manager and staff at this location for handling this situation with true grace and customer service. He did everything he could to accommodate this woman with a good attitude, even though she was intent on being rude and attempting to bait him. He went above and beyond to meet some of her demands even though she criticized the food (yet kept eating it)! Despite providing her with superior service, she still indicated that she would leave a negative review. Be wary of negative reviews, sometimes the only thing wrong with the restaurant experience is the person leaving the bad review. read more

Will not be coming back to this location. My boyfriend and I ordered a kids lo mein and asked for only the chicken and noodles, no broccoli. The menu says that broccoli is available upon request, but we specified that we did not want broccoli. My boyfriend is allergic to broccoli so that is why we wanted to be specific. When our food was brought out to us it had broccoli in it and the gentleman offered to take it back to be remade. The cook refused to remake it and only picked out the large pieces of broccoli and still left some in. The gentleman even told us that she did not want to remake it and was not going to. So this review is more for the location rather than the food. I've been to other Pei Wei locations and the food is always very good. But what is up with this location??!! The last couple of times we have been there the restaurant has been filthy. The tables have been gross-- remnants from the last visitor (maybe the last several visitors) are still on the table, below the table, on the seats. You get the picture. Even the outside tables were significantly nastier than usual. The beverage area is gross. For full disclosure, the Coke machines with all of the sodas listed on the touch screen and one spout to pour from absolutely making me want to gag because they are ALWAYS nasty sticky. We ordered the family platter which is 30.00. We ordered crab Rangoon but received slimy dumplings. I called and was told they had run out of crab Rangoons earlier that day so they just put those slimy dumplings in our order. The manager I spoke with was so matter of fact rude as if I had caused my order problem. I asked why didn't you tell me that when I ordered or tell my husband when he picked it up? He said, "things happen and that's just life!" I told him he is the best example of terrible customer service I had witnessed in a while. He said he would refund 5.00 for the crab Rangoon. I told him that wasn't a sufficient way to treat a customer. I also told him I would be writing this review and he said "go right ahead." AND THEN, HE HUNG UP ON ME! I will NEVER go there again. The food was terrible too. We ordered cashew chicken which had three cashew halves on it but it was General Tso's Chicken. The vegetarian noodles we ordered appeared to be made with angel hair Italian pasta which was overcooked and gelatinous. We used to live in Cave Creek and went to the one in Carefree at The Summit. It was always really good. But here in Surprise, the food was terrible and the way they talked to me, their customer, was even worse. As customers, we have to stand up and let these restaurants know we won't tolerate bad food and bad service. The pandemic has made customer service worse than ever. This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants! I always get the honey seared chicken because it's just the right mixture of sweet and tangy goodness! I like to add on veggies for $0.99 more to get delicious crunchy snap peas, carrots and broccoli. A regular bowl costs about $8 with the veggies added on. I also like their chili paste, it's kind of sweet and just the right amount of spicy. They make it there in the restaurant so it's always fresh and good. It goes very well in their lettuce wraps! (Which are also amazing.) I have tried both traditional and the Thai lettuce wraps, they are equally good but I always go more for the traditional. The only thing I would have to say is I don't like their Sweet and Sour bowls. Something is off in the recipe so it doesn't taste like what it should in my opinion. Other than that the Pei Wei locations I've been to have always been clean with polite and courteous staff happy to answer any questions I have. read more

I decided to try it out, I'm celiac and therefore can only eat gluten free... They have an easy to understand GF Menu with anything you can possibly want. I placed my order online and picked the exact pickup time. I cam and my food was ready for me. Driving home the smell in my car was so good I could barely wait to get home and try it - true umami! I got home and dug into the delicious spicy chicken and rice with sugar snapies and carrots. It was superb! For $9 I will definitely try this again! First the food was horrible for the money you spend for good food the consistency of portion size is not the same or every plate. For a manager to be a expo you would think he would know what portion size is for what but that was not the case. Then I saw the manager not change his gloves after answering the phone and went right back to handling food if I was the health inspector I would have had owners give him a write up or remove him as a manager. This was the second time I have visited there and it will be the last until I know the mangers have changed but that is not are problem not to mention the district manager haven't called me is a true sign that P.F. Went in for lunch with a coworker today. The small portions are overpriced and really aren't small-half would've been more than enough. We were served quickly and the staff was friendly! The restaurant was clean and tables were bussed quickly. I was disappointed with my Mongolian chicken. It tasted more like Teriyaki and was swimming in sauce. I had at least a 1/3 cup of sauce left on my plate after eating my food. All in all, PeiWei's food will be why I don't return anytime soon even though their staff was excellent and so was the atmosphere. read more

The hubs and I dined at the Glendale location about two years ago. i guess we were hoping it was like PF Chang's....but unfortunately were dissapointed. We discovered the Surprise location a couple weeks ago and decided that tonight we would grab a quick bite. The hubs ordered Mongolian Beef (his fav at PF Chang's) and I ordered my "tried and true" Ginger Broccoli and Chicken." Of course we started with the Lettuce Wraps because honestly...they are just the most delicious things ever! Tonight we were pleasantly suprised that the food was quite delicious. Although the dishes are EXACTLY like what you would get at PF Chang's they are scrumptous in their own right. The only downfall is that the noise isn't conducive to conversation. I haven't been to an establishment this noisy since Buca de Beppo's...which I love (don't get me wrong)! But I will say (on a positive note) that the customer service is fabulous! Something that can be hard to come by at times... As for price....$28 bucks for the two of us including an appetizer, two entrees and two drinks. (coke and iced tea...with free refills) Seems a bit pricy to me but honestly....EVERYTHING is expensive now days. We are in town for ST and orders to go from a known name, but we're greatly disappointed. The food wasn't ready for pickup at the time, had to wait 20'. They were out of soy sauce, had to get some from their neighbor. What is sushi without soy? The mango roll had No mango. The wasabi crunch roll wasn't crunchy or spicy. The lettuce wraps were strips of lettuce and had been frozen at some point. The only thing we ordered that was good was the lime chicken with cold noodles. The to go bill was over $50, not worth it.
