The food was fantastic! I had the challah French toast with amaretto mascarpone and it was so very good! My friends had lobster rolls that looked equally good! Two problems, my friend ordered a side of bacon and egg. The egg was to be poached and was very undercooked. The bacon made up for it--WAY overcooked. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended! I saw on their website that you don't need a reservation, but apon walking up and asking if they could seat a party of 2 on a night where it was raining profusely, the answer was no. I made a reservation for the next day online, and we came back. The entrance is very, very nice. I love all the holiday redecorating that they do to make photo areas for guests. You have to take an elevator to the main floor where you dine. I must warn you, the smell of fish is strong! When I got in the elevator, it was terrible, and when I exited the elevator, the fish smell hit me dead in the face, and it was nauseating. Believe me, you will get used to it once you are in there. The restaurant itself is nice, it's well lit and has nice decor. It is not that big so I can see how it would get booked up so fast on a normal night. So, the restaurant on a rainy night was half empty, yet we were walked all the way out the rooftop patio, which was nearly pitch dark with no lighting. We were literally offered a small table that was in the dark with no light, no table lamp, no anything. I was looking at the waitress like hello we just walked past all those empty seats in the restaurant and this is what you have? She claimed all those tables were committed for other guests with an attitude, and then I said I wasn't eating in the dark, so she sat us at a high top that had a little light on the ceiling. The waitress was rude. She had an attitude and was dismissive. She acted like she was doing us a favor by even waiting on our table. She left to let me decide on a cocktail for about 15 minutes then came back w the same attitude and I said I was ready to order and she said ok, ill let you look at the cocktail menu for a bit more and walked off again. 15 minutes later, she came back and finally took the cocktail order. Now, she gave us some recommendations on the menu, and everything sounded good. The thing is this area is small and everyone is serving up variations of the same seafood dishes so I wanted something different so I went with the airline chicken which was gluten free and my husband had the fish filet. The 1 positive thing I have to say is that the Beef Tartar was a 5/5. My husband eats that, and he said it was hands down the best that he has had, and it was plated quite nicely. Now, this airline chicken was a whole other thing. The chicken had a very strange rubbery texture. It was so rubbery that it was almost impossible to cut. It wasn't rubbery like it was overcooked, which is why I don't even know how to describe it. Unfortunately, about a quarter or more of it was raw (pinkish red with visible clear ro red blood running out), and the texture was that of raw chicken. Very disappointing! The jus that the chicken was plated in was absolutely delicious. This would have been a 5/5 dish if the chicken was cooked to the correct internal temperature all over and if the meat didn't have that rubbery texture. While eating a couple did get seated at that table in the dark and let me tell you they were trying to use the lights on their phones to read the menu and they complained so the waitress brought out a tiny table light. This was just ridiculous service, and those tables inside were still empty. We kept the meal short and went back to the hotel to eat later because half of my chicken was raw and the fish dish was very very small, not enough food or protien for a man in my opinion. This restaurant has really high reviews because of this beautiful rooftop patio and its views of Rosemary Beach and the rooftops of other houses here, but at night and especially on a night where it is raining those views can't save them from lackluster service and inedible raw food. I must say I was so very disappointed in this dinner on the last night of our vacation. That waitress with the attitude needs to be coached. read more

We had a lovely dinner here at Pescado! We got the mussels as our appetizer and it was DELICIOUS! It's like a creamy, warm mussel chowder and it's a hug in a bowl. We also got the sushi grade tuna rolls which were very good! For our meal we got the burrata pasta, and I probably wouldn't get that again. Super fabulous! A good friend recommended this place to me. She said she and her husband went here twice the last time they were in Rosemary Beach. My friend tried to book reservations for us online but there were not any good times left. So we took our chances and when we were shopping in Rosemary Beach we just stopped by and they happened to have a table of 4 for us right on the rooftop with a great view, just in time to watch a beautiful Florida sunset! The atmosphere of this place is amazing. They have a great selection of wine and spirits. I had the Sassy Jack's old Fashioned and my husband had the Mr. Fox. Both were so good! Our table split oysters on the half shell, arugula salad, spicy grilled octopus and chimichurri shrimp. For entrees we had Grouper and Paella. Everything was simply delicious. Do not expect a decent seat if you make a reservation at Pescado. It advertises as a rooftop bar with a view but if you make a reservation for 2 60 days in advance you will be stuffed into a tiny table along a bench with no view except the backside of men sitting at the bar, even if you request to be moved. The outside tables are wait only. A pregnant woman had to squeeze herself between our table to access the bench because distance so close. read more

I barely ever in my life give 1 star reviews because this is just not who I am, what I do or what I believe in. Unfortunately, for Pescado, I have to. Came here on a gorgeous Saturday with family and friends. We came right on time as after 1:30 you must be 18+ to enter (which is totally fine). The only thing is I would've very much rather have been told this wasn't a kid friendly location as opposed to what was about to happen. We waited a little and we're escorted up the elevator to our seats. What attracted us to this place was the fact that it was rooftop dining and a place for great seafood (I don't eat seafood but most of our party did so that was totally fine). Unfortunately, we were eyeballed from the moment we walked in, went upstairs and sat down in the worst seats of the house with the worst views (or actually zero views) but that's fine. Hey. It is what it is! Not going to complain about the views that we didn't have but about the rudest waitress we've ever had in our lives... There were 4 kids in our party, naturally we asked for a kids menu or kids options. You know: for the kids. We barely got there as we could barely order drinks for them. We asked if they had natural drinks, the waitress said there was fresh squeezed lemonade but it would cost extra (as if that was a problem). So we ordered just that. To start off. However, before we can even get our drink order or anything going, this waitress had the worst attitude problem. Wouldn't make any type of eye contact with any one of us. She was clearly annoyed by us. Jeffrey over here (we don't even know his name but we call him Jeffrey) was checking in on everyone with a smile from table to table but of course except ours. The waitress went to go out our order in for the "freshly squeezed lemonade for the kids" and it was basically the artificial lemon juice used for cocktails in the back. Whatever. That's fine. What's NOT ok is you taking our drink order and turning around and saying F this the opposite way. As if we had done some sort of something to annoy her or disrupt her or I don't even know what. Unfortunately, this restaurant and some of its staff decided to treat us different for the color of our skin and hair. Apparently we didn't fit the aesthetics here. If you're on vacation, you choose where to eat. You choose a welcoming spot that makes you want to celebrate, enjoy, relax and have an amazing time with your friends. Funny enough I doubt the owners if this restaurant will be happy reading this. Especially because they clearly chose a restaurant name that isn't in English. Clearly attracting other and all types of customers. And unfortunately. Yep. You missed the mark Pescado. We've never felt THIS uncomfortable at a place before. Actually, we've never walked out of a restaurant with 11 people before. But yep. That just happened. Dear Pescado staff. Be a little friendlier. If you need to curse, do it under your mask or something not without one so we can clearly lip read and hear what you say. This was totally uncalled for and unnecessary. We walked out. And explained everything to the kind young woman hostess downstairs. She was so understanding. Don't worry. You didn't ruin our day, you made us discover another local gem in the area walking distance where we could feel free to order what we want, laugh, smile and enjoy our vacation with family and friends. What a difference a year makes! We visited Pescado for the first time last year... what an unbelievable view and the food was superb. Definitely a bucket list meal. We returned to 30A this year and looked forward to another memorable meal, but were very disappointed. we started with the tuna tartare, which was enjoyable but not great. For the main course, we split the Fideas De Mariscos, which the waiter described as similar to paella (which I love). He was correct if you took paella and removed all of the spices and flavor. It was basically a fishy tasting noodle dish with rubbery calamari and grossly overcooked shrimp. I expect much, much more from a $120 entree. Go for the view and enjoy a drink and maybe an appetizer, but look elsewhere if you want great food. read more

So this rooftop I believe to be a hidden gem in Rosemary Beach. There is a strip of restaurant options on Main St which was very busy when we were there. But if you turn right on to barrett square just before the post office, keep walking, and you'll find the reception desk and elevator to Pescado. We walked in at about 1pm on Sunday, no wait, no reservations, and we had an amazing Sunday Brunch with great cocktails, some mimosas, and a really delicious meal. If I ever come back to Rosemary Beach, Pescado will absolutely be a mandatory visit. read more

Came here for our first night dinner while on vacation at Rosemary Beach. Really was wonderful. We had booked the reservations and alerted them that I was gluten free. When we got there the waitress immediately checked about my gluten situation and was then really helpful in helping me select from the menu. Probably the best recommendation was for the margaritas. She recommended a tequila cincoro reposado. We ordered two spicy margaritas and they were the best we have ever had (and the price was a bit high for the tequila). I then had three tapas instead of the main course and my wife did two. We both had the shrimp with creamed corn. The corn had a Mole accent that was amazing. Great first appetizer. Then she had the chard octopus that she loved, and I had the scallops with a pea risotto. The scallops were great, the risotto was just okay. And I finished with a ceviche that was also great. I went here with my best friend for our last night in town and I can say, I would not have picked a better location. I asked for "the dirtiest martini they can give me " and my server gave me the best dirty martini I've ever received. We ordered the ceviche, octopus, and white bolognese. Not a single item was anything less than perfect. It was both of our first times having octopus and we were blown away. Every item was prepared perfectly and served timely and neat. Upon leaving, I noticed a candle smell by the exit that was wonderful, I asked the manager , Cabout it and he said it was the last one of the season and allowed me to take it home with me. We didn't have a table directly on the perimeter so didn't have the full benefit of the view but also didn't have the full heat of the sun on us so that was ok. We could still see the ocean from our seats as the whole rooftop dining and bar area is open. We had an old fashioned and a tequila cocktail with lemon and mint - it was unexpectedly refreshing! We ordered several small plates including ceviche (shrimp and redfish), grilled octopus (smoky and rich), scallops with pea risotto (delicious), and lamb chops. We stopped by here for lunch. The weather was perfect and we were lucky to get the best table in the rooftop. I had the lobster grilled cheese sandwich and Smokey tomato bisque.
