    Carne asada breakfast burrito
    Michelle F.

I got to be honest here I had high hopes but it didn't live up to the hype. It's a busy street it's on but it does have a very small parking lot. Luckily, I got street parking! Staff were really nice you order at one window then pick up your food at another door (window). I got the carne asada breakfast burrito. It is so small for the price and barely any meat in it. If I paying $15- $20 I wanna see MEAT. I just thought the burrito itself was meh, blah. Not much flavor and the salsa was blah too. Honestly, I can pay that price and go closer to my house and get a good size filled burrito. It's only a take out place but they do have one table outside so that's nice.

Phanny's seriously has the BEST breakfast burrito! So good every single time and always hits the spot. Everything tastes fresh, the portions are great, and the burritos are packed with flavor. Definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots and a must if you're in the area!

The OG breakfast burritos! I finally decided to give Phanny's a try. I'm here to say that it is indeed an above average breakfast burrito. Though I have to say that I prefer my Chori Man burrito for the flavor and proportion of meat vs other ingredients.

Came back here to try few other options and here are some additional notes: * The coffee menu is hidden and posted on the right side of the wall inside the cashier counter window & separate from the breakfast burrito menu. * On weekends, the pickup counter is located behind the building in the parking lot rather than at the front window facing the street like on weekdays. * Free salsa, but customers need to ask the staff for it when picking up their order. * The drip coffee was surprisingly good & just as good as drip coffee from other third-wave coffee shops. * 2 Meat Combination burrito (bacon and sausage $13.75): It was not as good as the carne asada burrito. The sausage was slightly too salty for my taste. * Carne asada burrito ($14.75): This is definitely the one to get - amazing carne asada and a soft wrap. The price-to-portion ratio is a bit too high to come here regularly, but it is still a solid staple for anyone looking for an above-average breakfast burrito in the South Bay.

    - Decent service - Decent prices - Plenty of parking spaces behind the building. - You order at the window and then wait at the blocked door for your order. - Waited about 10 mins on an early Friday morning. - Suggest calling in your order to avoid potential long waits esp on the weekends. - There's no indoor seating but I did see a table with benches on the side of the building. - Average sized bacon breakfast burrito - Request the salsa on the side. Forgot to ask when I ordered so my hash browns were no longer crispy.

I've been wanting to try Phanny's forever and I finally did! Picked up a few burritos to share with my friends at the beach and they did not disappoint. I had the asada one and it was delicious. Fast service and easy parking and ordering system. Loved it, I'll be back!

Great burritos and great coffee. Their muffins are too sweet and a little flowery. But, the service is good and the people are always friendly. There is usually a long wait and line on the weekends. Today we got there early so not too bad. *Tip: order on PCH side pick-up in back parking lot. Enjoy!

Excellent breakfast burritos, perfect beach food. I tried the sausage breakfast burrito which was sooooo good, so flavorful and the tortilla was perfection. The hash brown was the best I've ever had. Coffee was pretty bad (I got drip with creamer, my friend got a flat white and both were not great). Get your breakfast burrito here (we ate as a picnic on the beach,) and coffee somewhere else and you'll have a perfect meal .

Heard a lot about this place and decided to try it today. Parking lot in the rear with a kitchen door open with a table, container of napkins and container of straws. Assumed that was the pick up for carry out orders. No sign except for "Employees only." There is a door to the dining area, but it was locked; no sign. Walked around to the front. The dining area had the door open but it was chained off with a handmade sign. Something about Saturdays and Sundays. Didn't bother to read it. Order window was in the front off Sepulveda. By the time I reached the line, two parties that parked their cars after me were ahead of me in line. Oh wait, there is a walk through from the parking lot in the back direct to the front, close to the order window. Interesting. Again, no directional signs in the parking lot to clue anyone in. Breakfast burritos is what the served with the menu on the window. I wondered about what to drink but that menu was posted inside on the wall to the right, making it difficult to read. Since there were people behind me in line, I didn't bother ordering a drink. I ordered a Veggie Burritto and went through the walk through to the parking lot to wait for my order. It didn't take long so I guess it's just the new customers that don't know how it works and where to go. Ok, bye.

I've always thought breakfast burritos were okay or good, but this one.....the best I've had! It hit the spot & everything inside it was really good. Walking up to the window to order, the service was easy, fast, & great! I ordered the carne asada breakfast burrito & I could go for another one if I could, as I'm writing this. The hash browns were perfect in each bite along with everything else in it! Will definitely have to come back again when I'm back in town!

Came on a Friday morning with a little bit of line to order though it went pretty quickly. We heard a lot of hype about their burritos so we were pretty excited to finally try them. They told us it would take about 15 minutes to get them so we waited in the car. My husband came back out at 15 minutes and waited by the pick up area. He saw two people order then get theirs before him. He went up to the window and it turned out they forgot to make our order. Finally after 30 minutes with no one else waiting he got his order. He asked if they put the salsa on the side like he had asked and they ended up having to remake it again because they forgot. As for the food, I think it was pretty mid. I agree with other reviews that it tastes like something you could easily make at home. It was lacking flavor and salsa didn't really help. The size didn't help as well. It was underwhelming for the price you are paying. Unfortunately a pretty disappointing experience.

Apparently it's the spot for burritos, never knew so happy I do now!

Great Demand, But Poor Convenience for Working Customers…read more I've had The Nook's mushroom coffee before. My best friend took me here on a weekend afternoon, and even then there was a line, although it was manageable and mostly stayed inside the shop. Because of that experience, I knew The Nook was popular, but I wasn't prepared for what I encountered on a weekday morning. I wanted to pick up a coffee before work, so I actually planned ahead. Before leaving home, I checked the mobile website expecting that, given the obvious demand, there might be an order-ahead option. Unfortunately, there isn't one. So I gave myself an additional 30 minutes specifically for parking, waiting in line, ordering, and waiting for the drink to be prepared. I figured that should be more than enough for a morning coffee pickup. I arrived around 7:30 AM, and as I walked toward The Nook from the south side of The Enclave, I could already see the line stretching out of the door and into the courtyard. I was honestly shocked. There were easily 15-20 people ahead of me. I decided to give it a fair chance and got in line. After 10 minutes, the line had barely moved. At that point, I walked out. I understand that popular businesses get busy, especially in the morning. But there is a difference between being busy and having a customer wait in a line of 15-20 people with virtually no movement at 7:30 AM, particularly when there is no mobile ordering or order-ahead option. For a coffee shop with this level of demand, I find the lack of an ordering system especially frustrating. If you're going to consistently have lines extending outside the business during the morning rush, there should be some way for customers who are trying to grab a drink on their way to work to order ahead. And that's really my issue: the customer experience doesn't seem designed for people who need coffee efficiently. If you're coming here on a weekend, have nowhere to be, or are willing to dedicate an unpredictable amount of time to waiting, you may have a completely different experience. But if you're trying to get coffee before work, I would strongly recommend accounting for significantly more time than you think you'll need -- or having a backup plan. I no longer work as close to The Nook, and I don't drink coffee after noon, so I don't have much reason to make a special trip. Unless I'm conveniently nearby and see little to no line, I won't be making another attempt anytime soon. The Nook clearly has a loyal following, but popularity shouldn't come at the expense of basic convenience. If the demand is consistently this high, the ordering process needs to catch up with it.

When I came up, the employees immediately greeted me with a sample of their new Guava CitrusTeafresher which I absolutely loved since I usually do prefer fruit teas over milk teas. From what I heard from others, I came in with high expectations of the actual tea itself and thought their drinks would highlight a strong jasmine tea fragrance and flavor. While the Boya Jasmine was a good drink overall, I was slightly let down because the tea flavor was a bit more diluted than I had expected. However, the drink was still pretty solid. Next time I'd probably do less sweet to bring out the tea more. The Guava refresher, on the other hand, was my fave. Unlike other tea spots where their fruit teas are made from syrups and are overly sweet, this genuinely tasted like they had squeezed real Guava in green tea. It was definitely refreshing and the added lime in the drink also brought some tanginess. Service was stellar as well. And I love the concept of being able to sample teas.
