I ordered a chicken and pepper sandwich and it was delicious! It had a light sweet taste to it, I could have eaten two of them!!

Clean restaurant, polite and friendly employees, delicious food! Philly cheesesteak was good (not the best, but still good), turkey hoagie and BBQ chicken are great, and fries are not bad. Plenty of options for adults and even a kid's menu. We have been coming here for over a year and are moving soon, to somewhere they don't have a Philly's, which is sad for us because we love this place. Highly recommend! read more

Omg been looking for something yummy like this in my area and I'm so glad I found Philly's Best. I ordered their star cheesesteak with sweet peppers, mushrooms and onions and it did not disappoint. The sandwich just melted in my mouth. Literally. I ordered it to go and it kept the temperature by the time I ate it, about 15-20 minutes later. I also got fries, which were soggy by the time I ate them but the flavor was so wonderful that I actually didn't mind the fries being soggy. I've been here twice and both experiences were pretty much the same. I walked in and the place was empty with the exception of maybe 1 table. Neither one of the girls smiled at me or said hi, just asked if I was ready to order. I ordered the mushroom steak sandwhich, which I must admit, was quite tasty. I really did enjoy it. But for a place that barely has any customers it didn't seem like they cared about the few coming through the door. And for you OCD germ people, they had a really good looking pepper bar, only problem was, each container that had peppers in it had a lid with the tongs just sitting on top of the lid RIGHT where the handles were to lift the lid up. So every person that ever got peppers touched the part of the lid that the tongs were on....That's straight disgusting to me im sorry. And that lack of cleanliness tells me they aren't all that big on keeping things sanitary. Tried this for the first time yesterday. When I ordered, I noticed the people handling the food had gloves on, which I really like. The part that I didn't like is after the cashier took my money, she turned and put cheese slices on two sandwiches on the grill without washing her hands or putting on gloves. As for the sandwich, it was by far the worst sandwich I have had by any Philly's Best restaurant. The beef was mediocre at best: dry and lacking in quantity. When your Cheesteak has a gap, it is just lack of care. The onions make no impact to the sandwich. Subtle is not the word. I had two of the sandwiches, with and without onions, and both tasted the same. The cheese was absent. Worst part, where is the $5 any sandwich on every 5th of the moth deal, as other Philly's Best. That deal makes this establishment a deal and worth the drive. I am actually surprisingly disappointed. The staff, those who attend, are not inviting. I will rather drive across Los Angeles to Glendora and buy a sandwich there than return. Philly' Best is better away from here. read more

I ordered the philly cheesesteak with cheeze wiz instead of american cheese, and was disappointed in the wiz. It definitely did not taste like real cheese wiz that you buy in the store. The wiz was extremely bland. The meat portions were fine, and the price was OK - but the wiz is what makes a cheesesteak Philly. Will I be back - probably not. :( read more

If you are out for a sub-this is the place to stop. They put a nice amount of meat in the sub rolls. The bread is fresh. Not only do they have the subs and soft drinks but you can also find those delicious tasty kakes there. I have found this to be a rare find for the west coast. The service is good and the food is even better. Yes, Philly's Best ranks high. The only thing that could make it even better is if the onions were cooked a little longer to a saute. That's just a personal preference but you can't argue with perfection ...it's still good. read more

I dont know how about the first comment, but I just tried this place today on my lunch. Considering I am Italian, I LOVED it. They put a lot of meat, and mine was flavorful. I ordered the "Philly's Best" with grilled onions. It was delicious!!! I seen someone order the french fries and that looked so yummmmy! I think I am going to try that next. I would definitely go back again. Subway and Jersey Mikes definitely have a competition, in my opinion. read more

If you're from Philly and know Amoroso products, be prepared. The rolls are really soggy, mushy, and in no way resembles what I used to eat, sell, and buy back home. Perhaps something gets lost in translation across the continent? Otherwise, the fries and onion rings are excellent, they charge you for cheese, tomatoes, and hot peppers, they already charge exhorbitant prices for a sandwich but the meat is pretty decent. They have a frequent flyer program that gives you a free(???) sandwich when you buy 12 but Big Mikes has a better program. They do provide unlimited free hot peppers, dill pickles and malt vinegar for your Roho fries and some kind of hot sauce in the back. Not bad when you are hankering for a taste of home. Big Mike's is better, cheaper, and rolls are much crispier. Recommend for the tastycakes and this huge plaque that identifies all the best of Philadelphia. i tried the philly cheese steak sandwich and I'm very disappointed. this chain restaurant need to change their low quality meat and need to use usda choice meat and use a decent quality provolone cheese instead of a watery and completely melted cheese which you cannot tell if it is a cheese or cheese wheez. I wasn't sure about Philly's Best. I have been to other sandwich shops, including my fav New York Deli on Sepulveda Blvd. I got the chicken/cheese with grilled onions. First, the chicken is some frozen stuff, it looks like thoroughly processed chicken patty. Next, they hardly put any of it inside the sandwich. One thing I don't like is Cheap!!
