If ur hungry, this is the place to go. The medium bowl of pho wss huge and they give a decent amount of meet. What my group liked about this place, was the option to choose up to 4 meets for the pho. This gave us all a unique flavor and soup. The amount of meet was also very good. Each time I thought I was done, another piece of tripe or tendon would float up haha. Was not the biggest fan of the noodles. I'm thinking since I was in a big group and it was a busy lunch rush, they pre-made a lot of noodles so my cfelt bunched up while I ate it. Goi cuon was good. I love me some Pho and have been to a ton of different places. This one offers is very authentic and family owned. Service is great and the oxtail is a game changer. I usually get a large pho with oxtail pho like an appetizer. I just love the extra protein and the broth is super tasty. Has a large menu so something for everyone if you don't want a hot bowl of pho. I used to go to Pho 79 before they opened this place (same family) which basically is the same menu but just a closer location to me in HB. Definitely recommend! read more

For a pho resto, this one is pretty good (compared to other pho places like Pho Hoa, Pho 2000) I'd give it a 3.5 or a 4 if the food wasn't as salty (my fingers were swollen the next day!). I waited for a while for the server to come by so i could've asked for hot water to water it down (the pho broth). I couldn't completely enjoy the food due to this. Overall though I was impressed by the server & the crew for their teamwork-until i couldn't flag one down for hot water. The inside was fairly clean. The flow seemed ofd though & it felt cramped. AC was working, thank goodness! The bathroom was also clean & appeared sanitary. Now the food!: * I ordered a combo of rice & up to 3 choices of protein: : pork chops & grilled pork, flavorful but a but on the salty side, I requested for limes to offset it (needed more though). *Sister & cousin ordered 2 pho w: brisket-1 w/ reg. pho noodles, 1 w/ egg noodles, Bun & fried egg rolls. Both said "That's money!" so they really enjoyed the meal. Bun was fresh & the egg rolls crispy & savory w/ the leaves & sauce The server was accommodating because we had specific requests & he was friendly about it. Our brother recommended this place when we were around the area. We got there around 5pm and it's empty, but starting approaching dinner time, it's getting busy. We all ordered a bowl of medium pho! Size is big and you can choose up to 4 toppings, I got rare (2), tendon and tripe and a side of ox tails. And also ordered a broiled chicken rice dish for my kid. The portion is also generous. Orders came very quick...the broth was flavorful and rich and meats were good and the ox tail was huge and rich; it's best with the onion with hot sauce! Parking was easy. There is a current 405 project in the area, so pay close attention in the area; otherwise, you might miss the place. read more

I'm almost afraid to yelp this place because I'm afraid it may get too busy likes the owners other place Pho 79. I don't get that feeling often but I felt like I found a hidden pot of Pho heaven in this small strip mall across the street from Bella terra. It's also off the beaten path of your usual awesome Vietnamese fair. I went at 4PM on a Sunday and I must have beaten the rush as there was only one other diner when I arrived. I was expecting the crush of people that I find on Brookhurst restaurants so I was a bit giddy, well maybe deliriously hungry from missing lunch. Instead of a list of 10-15 different pho choices, I was surprised to see one but you got to choose 4 toppings!! Now I could get both chicken and rare beef and tendon and tripe with nothing I didn't want!!! Sign me up everyday for this and twice on sundays!! I got the large and, let's say I wasn't prepared for the size of this bowl. I couldn't finish it myself though I tried really hard. Now I feel like Kobayahsi after the Coney Island hot dog competition. Need to come back for the games crispy chicken. I guess there is always tomorrow!! read more

Went in and was greeted by a older lady, We told her we had a party of 3 and she said it'll be ready in a few minutes and she walks away. Already being acknowledged by her we assumed we didn't need to sign the waitlist, So we sit down on the chairs waiting to be seated. More guest arrived which was a party of 2, came in and signed in on the waitlist because no one else was in front to greet. About 5 minutes later another employee comes by (guy with glasses) comes checks the list and looks at us and says "2" which I responded no there's 3 of us, Then he continues to say 2 again and looks for the other party to seat them brushing us off. The smirk he gave was the icing on the cake making us feel like we're less then, Imagine being discriminated by another Asian. Go figure. We left immediately after. read more

The take out container said "Pho 79" so this might be owned by Pho79 folks. Pho 79 quality has deteriorated the past 5 years so I no longer go there but this new Pho restaurant is really good. The broth was dark that was why it was flavorful, it had enough spices, maybe some anise too, most places no longer use anise, in fact most places just use very little bone, dump gallons of can broth in, this broth is oily, I like it, in VN and Paris, broths are oily, it has to be to have some taste or else it's just hot water. I like their oxtail but I did not order that today. I ordered the combo, I asked what was in it, the lady told me everything, brisket, rare beef, tendons and meat balls, etc..well the meatballs were missing, it so happened i wanted some badly! I was frustrated, if I had that, I would have rated a 5 stars, guys, don't forget it next time especially I made it clear I wanted the meatballs. read more

They're sisters of Pho 79. It is clean tasting and lots of soup but I wished we could have more meat. Cha GIO fried spring rolls were really good because they also gave us lettuce to wrap it with! Very nice environment, hip unlike regular old pho joint! read more

Was in the area, and decided to Stop here for some pho based on positive yelp reviews. The driveway entrance to this place is it's easy to miss. There is only one entrance/exit, If you pass by it, you'll have to go All the way around for over a mile, as there is no easy turn around. This restaurant was busy and almost full after 7pm, a good sign when trying a new place. We ordered the pho special with meatball, rare beef, tripe, and tendon. The Pho was good, better than average, but not as good as other places I've had in Rosemead. read more

This is hands down the best Pho I've eaten this far. I have been recommended other spots, but this one takes the cake. The broth is perfect. You don't need anything added, unless you just necessarily need the Sriracha & hoisin. The place is mostly crowded but the line moves fast and it is well worth the wait. Ask for the beef bone on the side and share it with someone. Bwoooooooaaa look'ahere! (That means it's off the hook! ) It's a little drive from the part of Long Beach I'm in so I don't go that often but if it was closer, I would be there at least twice a week. Definitely try this place. U won't be disappointed at all read more

Got Pho to go when we had just moved. It was not how i'm used to getting to go Pho as you have to do more prep. I didn't have a equipment/strainer to boil my own noodles! Did best I could. It was still yummy but my noodles a little jumbled together. Maybe just eat it there next time! read more

The side bowl of ox tail is $4 and sooo sooo worth it. It's what makes the pho great. If you have any left over, bring that ox tail home and eat it with your ramen the next day. It's tender and fall off the bone. The ox tail alone is worth it. Staff was extremely friendly as well and the restaurant is very cute and nicely decorated. read more

I came in to order the house special: crispy chicken with garlic butter sauce on rice ($9). The platter is huge and can be shared with someone else. It comes with a portion of crispy chicken (boneless), cup of rice, and a side salad. They also provide a side soup and cup of garlic butter sauce. You're given a steak knife to cut through the chicken because it's thick and doesn't come pre-cut. The chicken was tender and the exterior was very crispy. It's more like eating a fried chicken thigh rather than popcorn chicken. I like that it's boneless chickens because the entire portion is edible and not wasted by a large piece of bone. However, the crispy batter lacked much spice so that's why there's the garlic sauce. The garlic butter sauce is very strong in garlic aroma, but the butter flavor was lost. The sauce was very salty, and tasted like garlic mixed in soy sauce. I was expecting a creamy buttery consistency paired with garlic aroma. There were many available tables on a weeknight, parking was plentiful, and the staff was nice. They also speak English so you can feel comfortable coming here without understanding Vietnamese. I hear the pho is delicious so I'll order that instead next time! read more

Massive portions. The medium is like a large, and the large is like xl. I recommend getting a side of oxtail to share. It comes with a lot of meat for only $4.50. Might be cheaper than making it yourself. The pho tastes okay. Broth could be a little cleaner and have more spices in it. Noodles are average. A lot of meat but average in taste. The com is not my favorite. The egg has a strange fishy taste to it. I would skip. read more

We arrived not much before their closing time... and they welcomed us in with open arms! Once seated, we did a brief survey of the menu and were quickly ready to order. I opted for the rice dish with pork and egg roll. I was blown away by the quality of the pork and those wonderfully crispy egg rolls! Their version of this dish was likely the best I have had at any Vietnamese restaurant! M'lady went with a LARGE bowl of pho. And believe me, it was HUGE! I don't recall which pho she ordered, but she was relatively happy with it... and already wrote her own review of it, so I won't discuss it here... but you should feel comfortable ordering that too. The last time I came here 5 years ago I was told by the server that the vegetarian pho uses chicken broth. Is that still the case or do they use vegetable broth now?

What is the name brand of the chili oil they bring out with the oxtail? It's delicious

The chili sauce is called sate or sa te. I'm pretty sure it's made in house but there are a variety of store brands that you can buy.

As of sept 14 2021 how many outdoor tables do they have and how many does each table seat? About. Does not need to be exact.

We went around Sep. 5th and there were 4 tables under the outdoor tent that can seat 4-7 people per table.

Are the pho bowls plastic or ceramic/porcelain?

I was just there on Saturday and they are the heavy weight plastic - like melamine.

Hmm, I was there yesterday and there were some tents positioned outside, but their expansion still seems to be in progress, so perhaps they're not ready yet. You can call them tomorrow to confirm when they re-open (closed on Tuesdays)

I am not sure about the taste of the oxtail but like both. The parking is better at Pho 101 usually. I love both restaurants and the staff.

Do they run out of oxtail by a certain time like pho 79?

I go once a week late and night and I always see that plate on somebody's table. I think its safe to say they don't but maybe calling ahead will guarantee they haven't run out for that day.

We came to Pho 101 and it is awkwardly located on the corner of Edinger and Beach. You need to be traveling east on Edinger towards Beach. Otherwise, you will find yourself doing crazy u turns and getting nowhere. It's a small shopping center with enough parking available. The restaurant was full and had patron waiting near the front. For a party of 3 we waited a total of 15-20 minutes which wasn't terrible. Service is fast and efficient. It looked like they were in the process of expanding the restaurant so that's great news too; seems like business is busy- and for good reason! We all ordered the same thing. Brisket pho (and a side of spring rolls). The rolls were fresh and tasty but the star was definitely the pho. It was neat that you can customize your meats here; traditionally menus don't allow for that. Food arrived at our table in a matter of minutes after we placed our order. The pho was SO tasty. It definitely rises to the top of my fav pho places in OC! I'd come back here when I visit OC again. read more

Got there at 5pm on a Saturday, it was busy but we were seated immediately with alot of open tables available. It got even busier by the time we left around 6:30pm.
