Yikes! I'll admit, I can be a bit of a pho snob. But I have eaten countless bowls of amazing pho, and sadly you're not going to find that at Pho 22. The broth was terrible, lackluster and had no flavor. The meat was dry and rubbery. Yech. I also ordered a vietnamse coffee. Another major fail. Even the condensed milk could not save it. For my first time eating Pho, this place was a pretty nice experience. We were greeted right away and it wasn't too busy (it was night time on a weekday) and I came with my friend. We ordered within 5 min and within 7-8 minutes out food came. I ordered the steak and tripe pho but my only annoyance would be the prices be issue their pho averaged from $9.25 to $10.95 which according to my friend is a bit pricier compared to other places but I guess with the service and quality and portion of the food I don't have too much to complain about. OK here's the thing I don't really write reviews but this is something that is so shocking of how rude and disgusting this place is.... not trying to be dramatic or anything but It has honestly been the worst restaurant I have been to both the customer service and the food. I love pho but this is not even pho this is just plain disgusting... first the broth literally taste like tap water.... there's absolutely no flavor in it at all. When you first receive your bowl... you get so disgusted ... When you see pieces of the bitten "chicken" floating and the "rice noodles" are all clumped together in the bottom (very cheap taste) .... The smell is horrendous ... i find it ridiculous to pay $11 per plate of ... tap water and paper .... where are you can go to another pho restaurant and pay $11 for a delicious meal.... In my group 4 of us didn't like it and we told the waitress and we were shocked when she said " what do you want me to do ,you order the food you pay for it whether you like it or not you have to pay for it" I asked to speak with the manager and she left to "ask him" ..... i expected the manager to come out and say sorry or can i get anything else for you .... packed their attitude is honestly so disgusting no wonder the food is gross .... I tried the food that's why am writing this review....and I got food poisoning from eating here .... Best tasting pho!! Portion is perfect and it's so flavorful. They're open late and so nice all of the time. They have a great staff.

Ordered a small size of the Pho Ga. A little bit pricey for a small but they gave a super generous amount in my bowl. I wish there was more meat in the bowl though. Broth was flavorful but I had to give it a little more of a kick with the sriracha and hoisin. Just be aware that Pho 22 shares the parking lot with the remainder of the restaurants! My aunt and I had to make 3 laps around the plaza to find parking. Overall, I had a really satisfying meal. read more

Ate here cus it was open!!! It was not my favorite pho, but at 11pm in the middle of the valley, i thought it was worth a shot. They added shrimp and a mussel on top of the deluxe combo which I thought was interesting. I might like their vermicelli or rice dishes more. This is a korean owned Pho restaurant. It does cost about $ 1 more per bowl but it's really good and worth a try. The restaurant has nice decor and is kept very clean. There portions are bigger than vietnemese pho restaurants. The broth is cleaner tasting and less greasy than viet restaurants. Restaurant is opened late unlike other pho restaurants which is big plus. Lots of parking and good service. read more

Went here for the first time today because the nearest pho place next to me was either pho so 1 or pho 999. I was actually pretty impressed. The pho broth was good and the place was really nice and clean. I'm not sure if these people are vietnamese though but if they are not, then they sure know how to make some good pho. My bf said the pho was horrible! The broth was bland, they hardly put any meat, and for a pho restaurant they did not provide all the traditional veggie that go in pho. They are Korean owned. I had the vermicelli noodles with egg rolls and it was okay. If I'm craving Vietnamese noodles I would come here but it's definitely not the best. Half the bowl with vegetables (cabbage) so if you're a vegetarian it would be good. The fish sauce was on the bland side. The restaurant itself was clean and modern looking. read more

I walked in at 12:05 and there were plenty of seats. It took 5 minutes for someone to take my order (which was #1) and another 20 minutes before my food came out. I might just be impatient but I've never waited this long at a pho place before. I only chose this place instead of my usual place because this place is a bit closer. Tried it today, I'm not a Pho fan however it was very good. The environment is relaxed and comfortable. Their broth was delicious. One complaint I have and is not really a complaint just a fyi, the flank meat is very fatty so it kind of ruined my dish. The dumplings and raw beef are delicious though. Make it as you like of course, they provide bean sprouts, jalapeños, cilantro, lemon leaves, and lime. Additionally, their rice rolls are very good, they come with a delicious peanut sauce to dip. This is my favorite pho restaurant in town. The staff is very friendly and the pho is delicious. I usually get the large combination bowl (I forget what it's called) which has a lot of food and a little bit of everything in it. My girlfriend gets the seafood bowl. The sprouts and garnishes are all very fresh, and they give you plenty of them. I also really enjoy their meat spring rolls. read more

Had a pho craving and tried this place for the first time with my daughter. Place is cozy and very clean. Service was also good. They even have a kids menu. The portion of noodles in the pho is very large so if you are carb phobic ( no pun intended) then choose something else. Cute place. Eggrolls are not great...a little too greasy and small, but meat filling has good flavor. Beef bun taken to go...was surprised to find a ton of shredded iceburg lettuce, like the kind served at taco bell. It really detracted from the already lacking flavor from the dish. Disappointing. Pho here tastes clean. It's perfect for cold days, but surprisingly, it's good on hot summer days too because they BLAST the air condition! :) I only get #7 on the menu which is with rare steak, but that's totally a personal preference & I like it a lot ;D My friends tried their Vietnamese sandwiches here & it was a big mistake. The bread they used was just off. They're generous with all the veggies and that's a big big plus because I LOVE putting a lot of onions in my Pho. The workers are really friendly & everything comes out super quick! Tends to get really crowded on Sundays lunch, but I never had a problem getting seated. I came here on a thursday evening with my mom and there were only about 6 tables being served. Service was very slow and poor. The eggrolls were tiny and overpriced. $5.95 for pcs which equals to about $1.50 each. The soup was okay.. kinda bland. Oh and also, I asked the server for a to-go cup multiple times. She kept saying yes but she kept walking past my table and tended to others. Seriously, how long for a freaking cup? read more

pho sort of bland. & the menu needs more variety to the things. Rice dish should include this thing called the Com Tam. That's definitely a must have for your menu. Egg rolls slightly too small. I wouldn't bother with this place if you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food. i didn't think the food was even halfway close to hitting the mark. Second, for Vietnamese food it was over-priced. The best would be in Little Saigon in O.C. but unfortunately too far for me. San Gabriel is the next best option. As for San Fernando Valley, there are a few decent places around Reseda, which are actually Vietnamese own and run. This is the second Pho place that's opened up in Northridge and both are Korean owned, not authentic, and over-priced. read more

I have been to a lot of different pho places, because it is such a great meal. Pho 22 was no different than some great places I have been to. I convinced my boyfriend to take me here because I was getting over a cold, and I knew the pho here would be the perfect cure. First off we ordered two of the rice rolls, which were very fresh and the peanut sauce was perfect, even though I added a bit of siracha to mine (but I always do). For pho I orded the #7 which is the rare steak, and it was amazing. The meat was tender and the broth was delicious. The veggies on the side were fresh and after my own addition of lime, siracha, hoison the pho was perfection. I would definitely come here again. Nice service, good food, and a clean place.
