Came here late at night and it was still busy. Really really good pho. The broth was so good. I usually can't finish my whole broth but this time I couldn't stop sipping on it cause it was that good! I will definitely come back especially cause they are open late. The restaurant was clean and spacious and and they had a restroom with a code that was very clean. A while back I said we wold return. Pho 54 remains our "go to" pho restaurant. We see new faces and a room full of patrons. No problem, plenty of big round tables. I got to have some good beef and decided on the number 11 but in a small bowl. For good measure I also ordered the spring rolls, 2 and 2 meaning two shrimp and two pork. That comes with a great sweet peanut dipping sauce. No need for Nguc Nam. The Pho was delicious hot both and the greens and sprouts you put in give it that special pho flavor. Pho 54 was a good choice for our late night dining adventure. I heard no peeps from the lovely missus and the No 1 son as they too enjoyed the Pho 54 experience. read more

Broth that's flavorfully rich but still light at the same time, generous toppings of bean sprouts, Thai basil, lemon wedges, and jalapeños (isn't it fun when they pile it really high?), a good ol side of onions soaked in vinegar on the side (trust me, it's so good), and i could go on. Tonight we tried the pork and shrimp spring rolls and they were filled SO generously with fresh lettuce, cilantro, and noodles, and the peanut dipping sauce is some of the best I've had. If you are looking for a great place to eat this is the place to be. At times when the night is young you may not find a lot of good place that is still open. However, Phò 54 is great for late night snack, dinner, supper and any late night gourmet place to dine in. The establishment is located in a good intersection that has multiple stores and multiple eateries. There are multiple parking lots that you can park your car from all the adjacent stores and buildings. However at night time the parking can get congested so you will need to be very careful about finding parking. Most of the time you can find plenty of parking located behind the last few row of buildings to the west side of the store. Entrance to the establishment is greeted by two double clear panel doors leading to the hallway of the front desk. Usually you don't have to wait too long to get seated. At least for the last 15 times I've come to this place and usually don't have to wait no more than a minute. Like I said above I highly recommend this establishment do about anybody who is hungry and simply wants something to eat late at night for a quick meal or super. Once inside you'll get seated right away where you are greeted with very fast customer service. The server will come and give you a menu and will probably give you no less than five minutes for you to decide. The establishment contain mostly of local families and customers who have come to this place very often. Although this restaurant is Vietnamese origin you can find a multitude of different ethnicity from all around orange county and local LA County. When it comes to seating there are nine tables seating up to four with two rectangular tables seating up to six or seven. Additionally there are seven booths that can seat up to four. Of the many times that I have been here dining, I have never been disappointed at their food. The food here is always great. All the time. My favorite dish is the beef stew with either noodles, rice, or French bread. So my final recommendation for this establishment is as follows: 1. Great place and good customer service. 2. Haven't been at pho 54 for a while and decided to place a takeout order of a large pho tai nam gan with FRESH noodles and an order of egg rolls. I loved the tasty crunchy egg rolls and I will give it a 4 rating. As for the pho tai nam gan it had a very strong taste of clove and I am not sure this is the right spice to add to the pho broth. I eat pho in many Vietnamese restaurants and I just never had this strong tasting clove in the broth. But what really upset me that I specifically ordered FRESH noodles and I got the cheap factory noodles that disintegrated within minutes in the broth leaving the soup with a sour taste! Not a happy customer! Looks like I will have to check the order before leaving the place! read more

Their service is so darn quick. I went by myself at 8pm, it was a pretty packed house. I sat down, looked at the menu for 5 mins. Placed my order for hot tea and large bowl of pho with tendon, brisket and flank. Kinda wished they offered meatballs :/ Their broth is good, but not out of this world flavorful. It definitely hits the spot when you're in the mood for Vietnamese pho and/or other dishes. Plus they open late - til like 3am. I haven't been to Pho 54 in over 15 years and it seems like going back into the past because their exterior and interior decor still looks the same. Staff are attentive and speak English! I'll be 100, don't come here expecting some grand service from the wait staff. Although they are extremely nice and always great you when you walk in. My family and I come here for the food! We drive from North East Garden Grove to this location. Although we obviously drive passed many Pho establishments, we have always preferred Pho 54. We came here for pho at 7 in the morning because there weren't a lot of places open at that time. The service was great and the food came out very fast. We got rare steak, well done flank pho and beef meat ball pho. The rare steak and flank was good, tender and not dry but the broth was very bland. The beef meat ball was just okay but again the broth was bland so I had to add a ton of hoisin sauce. They give you a lot of noodle so I couldn't finish it all and not enough broth for me it to add veggies to it without taking up the whole bowl. If you must come here and know that you can't eat a lot of noodle, make sure to tell them to give you less noodle. read more

One of the best pho restaurant in Orange County. The broth and quality of meat is very good. It's a quite a drive from our house but it worth driving just to eat pho, especially their egg rolls. The number "54" represents 1954, the year Vietnam was divided into the North and the South. When I first got here, the restaurant felt like it has been around a long time and a giant Laughing Buddha statue was standing at the front entrance. Our waiter just simply took our orders and brought food out from the kitchen. Menu was a bit confusing because some appetizers like spring rolls are hidden under unexpected sections (e.g. you will find spring rolls in the "vermicelli" section.) Pictures of beautiful Vietnamese ladies wearing ao dai (traditional Vietnamese gown) can be seen throughout the menu. Last few pages of the menu come with pictures of food. Order #1, #2, and #3 are the exact same pho, but each number represents different sizes (#1 = extra large, #2 = large, and #3 = regular.) *** #54 Spring Roll (Gi cun - 4 rolls for $6.50): My friend perfectly summed up this dish - too much veggies with strong herbal aftertaste. We were looking for a place to eat quite late. Only this restaurant near us was open late, so we went there. The food was okay, but an older man was rude. When we walked in, he just looked and didn't ask how many people there were. He looked around, not knowing where to seat us, and chose the table where they were drying spoons. Another waiter brought the food and stood behind us so we could serve the food to each other and almost mixed up the food with another table. We paid and tipped 15% of the bill, which was a $20 tip, and the older man whispered to some people in the kitchen that the other lady tipped too cheaply. They said we tipped because we left the tip on the table. It was so rude to say that behind the customers when they were still there. We tipped out of kindness; it wasn't worth 15% for the service attitude. We were so nice that we didn't take the tip back after hearing him say that. Oh man, I have been coming to Pho54 for a long long long time. I think they went under new ownership. I was here during Covid and it was dead. Anyways, We stopped here for lunch. I ordered the Chicken Pho and some eggrolls. I love the way they make there eggrolls now. Nice atmosphere and i think the big screen tv is gone. One of my go to places whenever I am craving for some decent pho at an affordable price. The broth is flavorful and tastier compared to some other places. I usually get pho chin and they give a good amount of lean meat. I actually ended up having to eat the meat by itself at the end of my meal because I ran out of rice noodle lol. I usually ask for a side of onions as well. Their egg rolls are also pretty good, so give those a try as well. I like the crispy shell and the filling is tasty. I would not recommend getting the thai tea here. I ordered it once and it is pretty much diluted and the taste does not really remind me of thai tea although the drink does look like it lol. Overall, this is a convenient place since it is open pretty late and the price is affordable. Service isn't the greatest, but the food makes up for that. Just remember to bring cash! read more

Came across this spot towards the end of covid. I was craving Pho one night & this place was open. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Parking is a bit crowded but if you park away from the stores in that same shopping center, you should be fine. The food is good and they have really good iced coconut water. Customer service is always a bit rushed but i want to say thats just the culture. So if you can look past that there isnt a problem. Ordered to go, upon waiting i noticed a roach on the table, after bringing it to their attention, they gave me the dirtiest look and walked away without taking care of the problem. I asked to cancel my order and give me a refund but they said they couldnt give me a refund bc there was no roach. (they let it roam away.) I left the food behind because if theres roaches in the dining area then theres definitley roaches in that kitchen. Dont eat or order from here !! read more
