The best pho in Richmond! Pho An Nam was first introduced to me around 3-4 years ago at the Granville location. The service is always excellent, even during busy times, the food is always warm and tasty and the cleanliness (which is a big issue for me) tops the list for a pho restaurant. The servers remember numerous orders off the top of their heads, as well as any special requests (impressive!). Pho An Nam used to offer 10% off the entire bill if paid before 6pm PST; however, this was taken away after some time. Despite not having the 10% off, the prices are decent. To top it all off, this place accepts VISA and MASTERCARD! No need to carry loads of cash around. I've recommended this place to my friends and family and they are able to accommodate large parties by putting together a row of tables. Expect quick and good service when you go. My regular Pho place in Richmond ever since Pho Thai Hao closed their Richmond location. Felt like Pho An Nam is getting busier and busier. Today during prime time dinner hour on a Friday they still managed to reserve a table for 18 people yet kept the wait time for walk-ins to the minimal. And they only had 2 servers! Impressive. Pho, vermicelli, rice, spring rolls, wings are all my favorite. Good portion and broth. We usually go for their combo to get drinks and spring roll as well. read more

The pho is delicious, the service is friendly-ish (over time, since I'm a regular now they have become much friendlier), the prices are very reasonable, the restaurant is cleaner than most other pho places and their menu has a lot of variety. All in all, this is a Pho restaurant, not a fine dining joint. You get what you pay for and I love their pho! read more

Not a bad place to choose if you have a pho craving. The soup base is quite salty. I usually get the rare beef and tripe, and the portions of the tripe is a hit or a miss. It's slightly more expensive than the other pho places I've been to. read more

I used to come here regularly, food is not bad, service has always been so so,but recently I went and the portion sizes were clearly smaller than it used to be (for a bowl of pho). I brought this up to the server's attention and all they could say was that it's always been like this. I really like this place. My 15 year old son and his pal kept telling me about it, but having never tried Pho, I was skeptical. As a matter if fact, the first time we went I didn't even have the Pho...I thought the concept was weird, so I had a pork chop with rice and a fried egg instead. That was good, but my son convinced me to try the Pho. Guess what? I liked it! I have had it many time since then, in a few different restaurants, but I always come back here, because I think they have the best! an't eat pork so we were confused 2. They both tasted off to us. We waved down a female server and addressed the issue to her. She was so rude and began to tell us we just wanted a free meal. After me telling her about 4 times that I just don't want the spring rolls and that I'll pay she finally went to the back to let the kitchen know. But she was literally yelling and I can hear her from the floor. It was embarrassing as hell also being the only Two in the restaurant that didn't look the same and everyone staring at us. Anyways long story short, she was the most UNPROFESSIONAL server I've ever met. I was honestly so embarrassed and I'm not the type to send food back ever but the spring rolls were so bad I had to say something and she didn't make it any better. I use to come here all the time with friends but after this experience I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you want to get yelled at by a "server" or whatever you'd call her. I used to come here a lot a few years back but have noticed from this visit that the pho broth has gone downhill. There's barely any flavor in the soup and any real taste I experienced was pretty much all from the lime. The meat was still good (meatballs and steak) but the soup was quite a letdown given how much more flavorful it used to be. Please bring your old broth back! read more

My favourite Pho place in the lower mainland. It's clean, the servers aren't rude (maybe even borderline friendly? Shocker!), and there's lots of parking. Ok, so that may be setting the bar low. The food is pretty good too. Granted it's not going to blow you away (hence 4 stars instead of 5), but it's a good, quality bowl of soup for a reasonable price. The basil and bean sprouts they serve look very fresh. I may go elsewhere if I have a late night Pho craving (they close at 10) but this place is my number 1 choice. read more

This is pretty much my go-to pho in Richmond. Pricing is cheap, food is pretty good. I'm still searching for the best pho ever (probably will have to go to Vietnam for that) but this will very much do. I always get the combo with the rainbow beans and springroll + normal pho. Worth the value! And they don't give you a dinky cup of rainbow beans like Pho Hong in Burnaby. Tons of TV's to stare at. The one thing I hate the most about pho in general is bland broth, and An Nam does not have it. The soup is super flavourful and the wait is usually pretty fast. If you need something to rely on, you should come here. Plus plentiful of parking. There seems to be a hobo gathering further down the parking lot but they seem to be pretty harmlessly chilling nearby and it's Central Richmond after all. read more

I used to come here regularly. The foods alright. Not amazing but totally edible. My main issue is the service. They somehow always manage to mess up my order. I ask for no cilantro and get a ton of it. Then I send it back and they just fish it out and I get it back with hidden bits of cilantro. Happened so often I just gave up on this place. Not worth my frustration. Always feels like no one there's gives a crap. Service is pretty minimal. Try Pho Han or Pho Lan (which is super close to them). read more

I come here quite often for pho. Their portions are generous and their price is affordable. The service is usually decently fast. The restaurant is small but does not feel overly crowded. I actually really like the pho here and this is probably one of my favorite vietnamese restaurants in Richmond. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of a particular waitress. I do not remember her name but she is a very unpleasant Asian lady in her 40s or 50s.. I ordered some pho with my friends and one of my friends requested her bowl of pho to be without any greens as she does not like the taste of cilantro and spring onion. The waitress walked off without saying a word, which left us wondering whether or not she had taken our order. So after about 10-15 minutes without our food arriving, we got worried and asked her when our food would be ready. She walked away (we took it that she was going to the kitchen to check maybe) and slammed the menus she was holding onto a nearby table. We did not know what we did to deserve this kind of service. After our food arrived, my friend ordered a longan ice drink because I had recommended it to her, and the waitress once again gave us very dirty looks without saying a word to us. I will come here again for the food, but I will definitely make a complaint if I get that kind of service again. read more

The food is excellent but the staff are extremely rude, inattentive and have a bad attitude. I asked for a fork and five minutes go by and I still haven't received it. I had to go walk up to the front counter and ask for a fork again. As well, they only come around once to bring you your food. I usually come to this place at least once a week cause my boyfriend really loves pho. Recently they hired a new waitress, she is literally the worst waitress i've ever seen. Every time she serves, its like i owe her money or sth. Yesterday, she served us again, with a horrible attitude, no surprise of course. Then i found a hair in my soup and when we complained about it to her, she just took it away without saying a single word...... no im sorry, no i will talk to the kitchen, nothing! Nothing!!!!! And we waited like 15mins she never came back! We talked to the manager she said she can only give us a 10%off on that dish cause we order a combo, and i was misunderstanding her staff?! Ok forget about the discount, its never about the money, its about how fucking ridiculous the whole staff crew deal with their customers! Now im suppose to let u tell me how to feel?!
