However his place gives you a nice portion of noodles. Get Here Before the Lines. Delicious! I call this "clean" food. Food that is fresh, well prepared and made with love. The Vietnamese Spring Rolls served were perfectly cooked. No greasy taste. I usually do not eat meat but decided to go traditional with the beef Pho. Oh my gosh - the best I've had in the USA. The hot Jasmine tea was rich in flavor; the real thing. I spoke with the owner and Pho Char has been opened for only about 30 days. The place was busy and everyone was greeted warmly in entering. Frequent PLEASE so they stay in OC. Thank you for such a delicious meal. Back again and STILL fabulous Pho!! I'm not upset with the price of a bowl bc it's OC BUT I do think they need to add more noodles to their bowls. I felt really ripped off. How am I able to swirl the noodles around in the bowl at first bite? There weren't even enough noodles for the amount of meat in the bowl. I was in shock when I was swirling around to see how much noodle they gave. If you eat pho you know that sometimes the noodles need to be broken up bc they're kind of lumped into a bowl. Same thing with ramen. The springs rolls are good and that's pretty much all I can say about this place. Coke products taste funny and it does not taste like coke, but they claim it to be. I even overheard another customer complain about their Diet Coke. The staff could also be a bit more pleasant with their customers. They come off rude and while I was there another waiting customer got upset and confronted one of the workers on their lack of customer service. This place was truly by far the best food I had on my vacation! The atmosphere was calm and inviting. This place Wars super clean and staff was on great! I visited this restaurant in early April 2022. They increased recently price of a large pho bowl to $17.95 from $12.95 but that price increase does not seem to be reflected in the food quality or taste at all. Menu photos in Yelp were outdated. so be careful. There are other very good restautants in the neighborhood with that price. read more

First time going to this place. Was very clean, the pho was fresh with many ingredients in a huge bowl. I also had the Thai tea. It was amazing nice flavor and tasty. For an appetizer I had steamed dumplings which were good also. I was impressed as I'm a restaurant business owner and culinary school graduate. I spoke with the owners and both of them are very polite and also told me to download the yelp app and get the 10% off discount since it was my first visit. Just came back from lunch at this place and I was so pleased with it. It's a small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We ordered dumplings, chicken fried rice and combination pho. Everything was delicious and I will go as far as to say the fried rice was the best I've EVER had and that's saying something. The prices are very reasonable and I left with a lot of food left over. There isn't a lot of interesting food in OC for someone who doesn't want seafood. Most of the time when I am here I get stuck eating at seafood joints that have a throwaway dish or two for me and I leave disappointed. So, when air saw Pho Char had opened I was very excited. The place is a bit hard to find, nestled back off the road behind a gas station and a strip mall, but it was worth the effort. I had round and meatball at the bar and it was a pleasant experience. The waitress wasn't the best communicator, but adequate. My only gripe would be the price. It is probably a deal for OC, but I'm used to paying more like $7-8 vs $11 for a bowl. They didn't skimp on the meat though,so I wasn't too bothered. Will definitely come back the next time I'm around. read more

My husband and I are pho-fanatics, and we got in to OCMD late (after a flat tire and 7 hours of travel with toddlers). We found this place online and Yelp. The reviews were good, and the food is AMAZING!!!!!! We just got standard brisket and beef tenderloin pho, and we were amazed at its authenticity and the quality of the food, garnish supply, and the TASTE.
