This has been our favorite place to go for a long time. Hands down the best Pho broth in the south bay; and most of the meats in the Pho are excellent. Most of their other dishes are excellent as well. The service can be slow sometimes but always friendly. However, we do think they don't provide the best value. They charge almost $10 for a Large Pho, and you don't get a lot of meat with it. Overall still recommend, but wish they gave more Pho for the price. read more

First time trying this place with my girlfriend. We ordered #15, #60, & #62 Pho was hands down the best out of these three meals. Vermicelli vegetables were fresh and the fish sauce was tasty; however, the noodles were way over-cooked which took away the experience of enjoying the dish. The Combo Fried Rice was an ABSOLUTE disappointment!! Reasons being: Rice was extremely stale and it tasted like it was sitting out for hours. Also the flavors of the dish weren't well-seasoned (literally, you can only taste the eggs and it's a flavorless dish - we don't recommend any of the fried rice dish served here) To top it off, our server was inattentive even though they were not busy at all. We do not expect to have a five star restaurant-like service but maybe simple phrases like "enjoy your meal" or "can I get anything else for you guys?" would have made us feel more welcomed. From the experience, I've had a far better service at the fast food restaurants than I had here. So, expect some lackluster services. Lastly, DO NOT fall for the false advertisement. When you check-in to claim $5 discount, that is only rewarded when you order $30 or more. Our tab came out to be $28.70 and they have told us that the discount is not applicable. Three words: I am stuffed!!! Best phó I've tried. Very nice layout, wood & brick design inside with private booths. The windows to some of the booths have some cool, ethnic vases and other windows have flowers/roses. As an appetizer, we ordered 4 egg rolls that were very crispy (a plus) and tasted really good. Also ordered the regular & large(for me) well done brisket w/pho. Meat that they use is purchased from Costco. We only disliked the older lady at the entrance, she was rude to VeróniCA and customers, her tone and words were rude and disrespectful. Aaaahhh so satisfied with this place!! We came for lunch on a tuesday and tried their lunch special combination pho w spring roll and lemongrass beef hue soup w springroll. Everything was delicious and very flavorful! Good amount of meat and noodles. Service was very attentive and spot on and the springrolls are nice and cruncy and yummy! Thai tea was great! Home and felt like some pho. Found this place via Yelp. It had good reviews and decided why not, let's give it a try. Placed two orders to go, one was steak pho and the latter was some type of bbq sandwich. Both were good. Going back for a sit down dinner. The people there were nice, then again it was take out, therefore didn't spend much time there. The place itself is nice, nicely decorated and clean. Went there at night and yes the surrounding area is definitely not the best. They probably would have an increase in business if they moved somewhere more suitable. I was driving home and knew my husband wasn't yet so I desired to help some pho and ramen in the area. Being I was raised by my native Hawaiian Kupuna I opted for ramen, but none nearby had ratings I considered acceptable. So pho it is! Omg....this place was so great. The parking lot was.....um....ghetto. But walking to the door and being greeted with smiles was an instant relief. I sat in a private booth/cubby and ordered rare steak with a side of egg rolls. My food was fast and fresh! The broth was the BEST I've ever tasted. The rolls were nice and crunchy but not over cooked. The staff was very attentive and made sure my iced tea was always filled. We decided to come back and give it another shot since our last experience, especially since our family ate here for so many years. My wife ordered pho I ordered brisket fried rice we also ordered teas and two sides of white rice and a four piece spring roll. The fried rice came out first and after two bites I noticed it was dripping in oil, I returned the dish and ordered pho the pho was good and the spring rolls were a touch dry along with the sides of rice you could tell the rice was not fresh and the spring rolls wrapper was a touch chewy on the edges, halfway through the meal a server came up to tell me they are charging us for the fried rice I returned managers policy. I'm sure they lost less than $6 for that fried rice that they well made up for with the teas and side white rice and unfortunately they lost a family of customers the rest of my family stopped coming after having issues with take out. The service was great thank you to the servers who had to be put with such an uncomfortable situation our bill was $80 lost customer over a $15 dish that probably cost less than $6 to make. Wow! As I took my seat I was greeted by a friendly gentleman that took my order. I ordered Spring Rolls, Beef Pho, Combination fried Rice and a Bahn Mi sandwich. My Spring roll was a Glorious taste of goodness filled with fresh ingredients with a silky texture that melts in your mouth. My Beef Pho was a light soup that had tons of flavor and was also filling, the Rice was fresh and combined with nice juicy shrimp and my Bahn Mi sandwich had everything I was hoping for and more. Finally, pho that I can rave about. I got their $13 for $20 Yelp deal. Lesson one in economics- there's no such thing as a free lunch. But today, I decided a deal is a deal and I wanted in. With food I see no missed opportunities. We started with spring rolls- one veggie, one shrimp. Both were rolled pretty with fresh crisp veggies inside. I had mixed feelings about ordering a Thai iced tea.There's a correlation between a restaurant's Thai tea and pho. I had been disappointed with both recently. But not this place, they got my drink just right. It was sweet, creamy with a slight bitterness. I scanned through their lunch specials and ordered pho tai which comes with an egg roll. I added my usual- peppers, basil, lime, bean sprouts, cilantro, a good amount of sriracha with a dash of hoisin. I dug in; the flavor was on point. My broth was not too heavy or wimpy and weak. My noodles were perfectly cooked, not bloated. My meat was medium rare when it was delivered and cooked through by the end. Amanda got their vegetarian hot pot. I forgot hot pot refers to something different in Chinese/Vietnamese than it does for Japanese/Koreans. I was expecting a clay pot with steamed veggies, but instead it was a shabu shabu type dish. She got her's spicy and was quite happy with her broth. I don't expect good service at Asian restaurants so I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was beautifully timed. This place seems out of place since you wouldn't expect to find a Pho restaurant in this area. And once you come inside, you'll see that this place used to be a KBBQ place. I mean, you still see those huge KBBQ air vents in the ceiling. There's also the conspicuous grill that takes up the space in the middle of your dining table. What's neat about this place is that they have private booths for your dining pleasure. Yeah, these booths provide a more cozy and intimate dining experience. Kinda weird to be in this private booth with another guy friend, but what the heck, we could enjoy some peace and quiet. The food here is decent. They provide 6 eggrolls with your order and 2 individual fish sauce bowls. I know, I still really appreciate Pho places that provide you with your own individual fish sauce bowl. The Pho was a bit pricey, especially since they don't give you enough of the Pho noodles. I don't mind paying a little more, but can you please give out more food than other Pho places that are cheaper?! The service here is good... they really want to ensure that you enjoy your dining experience and are very attentive to your needs. Ok, real quick, here's a love story: On my husband and my first date, I was craving Pho. I found Pho Ever on Yelp cuz of the mad reviews, and we headed to this strip mall off Rosecrans and Van Ness in Gardena (there is parking available). Years later, I was trying to remember the delicious Pho place we went to on our first date, and it was then I realized that it's called Pho Ever. And we've lived happily PhoEver after. The best part about the restaurant are the private booths available. Perfect for an intimate first date, like my husband and I had, or for a party of 4. The service is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the Pho is delicious. I do have to admit, though, that I really did NOT enjoy the beef ball Pho. The meat was super hard and chewy. I'd stick with the brisket/tripe/tendon in the future. The Spring rolls are freaking delish. Mmmm. Make sure to check in on Yelp for $5 off! I would probably never come back to this place. I've been here before and the food was good so decided to come back but the menu has changed and I guess they changed the owner as well. They added the hot pot menu but they cut down the items from the regular menu. When we first walk in the waiter seems very attentive asked us what we wanted for drink and also he introduced the " goi cuon nem nuong" which is one of the house specials and insisted us to try so we were like okay. He compared this to the roll at Brodard and they aren't the same...period. We ordered : 1. Bun bo Hue : Missing all the main ingredients, use Pho meat ....like they just tossed whatever they have in the kitchen to the bowl. Called the server and he agreed to change to another item....... 2. Com tam thit nuong, tom , & op la : missing sunny side up egg....asked for it three times and finally it came out....how does a chef forget an item in the dishes. 3. Hu tieu nam vang : not so bad but a lot of noodles and used pho noddles for this dishes. 4. Pho Dac Biet : soup tasted good acoording to my friend but the noodles were smushy.... I consider myself a Pho connoisseur having visited my Pho places in Colorado. I've only been to a few California places, but every time I visit, I try a new one. Pho Ever is in my top 3 Pho places of all time. The broth was excellent. Very flavorful, but not overpowering. The owner/manager says he cooks it for 7 hours. It definitely shows through in the flavor. I had spring rolls as an appetizer and those were great. I had the Pho Superbowl. It was the most meat and noodles I've ever encountered at a Pho restaurant. While it was a challenge, I did manage to put it all away. I will definitely return to this place the next time I'm in Cali. I would say I have found my go-to Pho place in LA. read more

This bowl had so many problems I don't even know where to start. The steak, yellow. Yes yellow with fat mostly. I was scared. You could say it scared the Pho out of me. The broth didn't have that "stink", you know? If you like good Pho you know what I mean. The veggies and the rest of the bowl are not even worth commenting on. Ok but if you want a nice little place to sit down at and enjoy a half decent bowl of Pho, this might be your place. The setting is strange though because there are a bunch KBBQ tables in there and I am not even sure if they use them at all anymore? Probably not going to bother to go back. I've never felt the desire to write a review on yelp until tonight. I had a really rough day and dragged the boyfriend to eat dinner with me. We found this little spot and were greeted by two of the loveliest people I've ever come across. When we walked in this adorable little lady could tell we were new and suggested some of her favorites. We were constantly asked how we were doing and she served me my food saying sweetly "ladies first!". They were patient, kind, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy. You know how we all have those friends whose parents we absolutely adore? That's this couple. I'm mostly rating on this amazing customer service experience, but just so you know the food was bomb too. Really hit the spot for a late night craving. Okay so this was one of the first places I ever ate at when I started school at LMU. I was in love! even got into a car accident on my way here one time. Hadn't been since then. My boyfriend and I went to dinner last night, wanting to indulge in a warm bowl of pho, cause duh, that's what everyone in SoCal does when it rains. This spot is a great date spot because of the private dining sections inside. (Really well set up!). We got there a little past 8, and they close at 9. We ordered 2 bowls of pho and the variety eggroll plate. Pho was amazing, but I wish they didn't leave the rare steak in the broth for so long before bringing it to the table. The eggrolls were delicious, but on the second bite of my chicken one, I bit into something that was super rubbery, probably a piece of cartilage or skin that hadn't been properly removed, but it kinda ruined the rest of the meal for me- that, and the fact that once it was 8:53, they started to rush us out of the restaurant, even though I was still eating. The relief on the man's face when he came to get my bowl at 8:55 was as though he had just won the lottery. Usually when restaurants state their closing time, they have a 30min buffer period for everyone that's still eating to get out. Not the case here. read more

Pho is my go-to food. It's good for my wheat allergy, I can load up on veggies and it's yummy. I started to work in the Gardena area a few months ago and I have been slowly venturing the neighborhood. My coworker was kind enough to bring me here after we bonded over discussions of Slayer albums and our mutual love of pho amongst Jack in the Box appreciators. The decor is far out Asian mom-style- like nothing matches, there's a few odd floral presentations and lots of wood everywhere. They crank up the WORST music, i.e. Michael Bolton fest, Love Songs on the KOST comps, blank karaoke disc of all sappy ballads, etc. If you can psyche yourself out from the Kenny G tune jabbing you at low volume while you cautiously slurp the molten hot but flavorful soup, this place is the ticket for pho! I have enjoyed a very hearty bowl of chicken pho here. My only complaint was that the chicken was cut up in odd pieces but then I realized the chef did it on purpose to let the chicken essence flow through the broth, jagged shards of bones and all. They also have spicy Hue style rice noodle soup- rich and commanding. It's like pho but with a little more grease and no Siracha necessary- unless you're a winner of the Orochan challenge like myself, I add some more just to claim my right as insanely hot food eater of our company. Everyone had a role to play in the movie of life, I'm the weird spicy food eating girl I guess. I haven't tried the egg rolls yet but I'll write an update later. Service is very good. I don't know why I gave this place my business! Maybe this is the last time. Just called in and ordered food for pick up. I was planning to order delivery through yelp but the price on yelp menu is like $5 more for each item so I called in cuz im not so far away. Ordered a charbroiled pork with fried rice (extra $3) and a filet mignon pho. Husband picked it up, he opened his rice plate box and said it was the most disgusting rice plate he's ever had, mind you my husband is not a picky eater. The pork was burnt so bad he can only picked through the center, the fried rice i have to pay extra $3 was hard like sand, the lettuce has brown edges (see picture). My filet mignon pho came with no ginger like the server on the phone mentioned, no bean sprouts, no basil no anything. The filet mignon came in as a frozen patch of meat. I am extremely disappointed that i have to write this review knowing it might not showed on here because obviously this restaurant pay yelp for advertisement. Thanks for a horrible lunch! read more

I'm not a Pho connoisseur by any means but I really like this place. I've been to Pho restaurants in the past and I have a really hard time finishing all of my food without feeling sick. It always make me feel so bad to leave so much food behind but I was SO proud of myself for actually finishing my bowl this time and it was because it just tasted so great. The broth wasn't too salty or dehydrating, it was flavorful and delicious! Along with that that the herbs and bean sprouts were really fresh. I have been here on two separate occasions and on both occasions I was blown away with how good (and well-priced) the rare steak pho was. I haven't tried anything else on the menu but I definitely will next time (although I am a creature of habit). The other thing I really enjoyed about this place is the seating, they have several semi-private tables and I really enjoy the privacy of it. I don't feel all exposed or distracted by the street or outside environment. The location is a little odd but I don't really mind and I love the cute and down to earth decor. To be honest I am a big fan of Vietnamese food so it doesn't take a lot to please me, but this place had a few extras that really stood out and I had to give them 5 stars. 1. The lemonade: Yeah I know, how good can lemonade be, but this was made from real lemons and good enough for a cheap guy like me to order two 2. The decor is very cute and comfy especially the cute little private rooms. I ordered the house spring rolls, egg rolls, jasmine tea and pho tai. At my usual place I am not a fan of their spring rolls but here they were tasty. The Pho tai stock was good but it was missing something it was not horrible but just missing something. I have been coming here for about a year, and I owe them a review. What a great place to come and eat some of the best food ever, Pho! I have tried others, and I keep coming here, it is never packed, you eat in your own little room, the attention to service is great! and there is always parking. I have seen people here complain about the rundown parking area, but once you are in the restaurant you forget all about the location of this place. The inside is quite lovely and they do keep it clean, (never sticky floors). Like others have mentioned, the owner gets to know you and recommends the duck and the house special spring rolls. I stopped by because I wanted to introduce my god sister to why I love phó so much. My normal spots were too far to drive to in rush hour traffic, so I decided to give this south bay place a try. The service was quite friendly. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and seated immediately. I had given up red meat and pork for the month of February, but there's no way you can judge phó without trying the rare steak. Breaking my beef fast was well worth it when my soup arrived. The broth had a great flavor, albeit maybe just a pinch too much of star of anise, but definitely delicious. The condiments were served in abundance, which was a plus.
