Good noodles, meat and serving size. However, I know this is more of a beginner spot considering that the table only had hoisin, sriracha and chili oil. No other item such as pickled peppers or chili paste. Another thing to add, when my waiter brought my veggies the plate only had a small amount of basil (asked for an extra portion), jalapeño, limes and a good healthy portion of bean sprouts. No hate, but I was expecting the other herbs that typically come to the table. Very chill Pho restaurant with nice decor, lots of seating, and a big parking lot in the plaza. Staff are pretty nice and there is a good perk where you might be able to get a free beef bone after 4pm (the ones they make the broth with) as long as they don't run out. The prices are a little more than normal, but it's probably one of the best pho places I have tried. The broth here is really flavorful and the pho is packed with meat. The com tam is more average and sometimes the pork chop is pretty tender, but not consistent. They don't give many veggies with the pho though (mostly bean sprouts). Food: 22. Beef Rib Pho (Phở Sườn Bò) - The beef ribs are super tender and fall off the bone. They give you two big meaty ribs, which are very filling. They have a good spicy satay on the table that you can add for a kick. The pho broth is very flavorful and complex on it's own though. 40. Grilled Porkchop (Cơm Sườn Nướng) - I've tried the porkchop twice. The first time it was very flavorful and tender, the second time it was a little dry. You can choose chả giò (egg rolls), a fried egg, or julienned pork to come with it. The chả giò is probably the most filling and a good deal. Overall, this has become our go-to pho spot in the area. Mom was getting her nails done and her nail tech recommended this place, "when you get the chance. It's delicious!" So when she got done with her pampering, she went. I asked how it was, and she raved about it, When it was my turn to see the same nail tech, I told her about Mom's experience and thanked her for the recommendation. As with Mom, she suggest I check it out. Timing couldn't be more perfect: it's only a few blocks away from the nail salon and I had an hour to spare before my next appointment. I went solo, so I took a 2-seater close to the counter. My server came through with the menu. I asked about #42, "So all I have to do is pick two?" (The choices are pork chop, chicken, pork, beef and shrimp.) He confirmed. I went for the pork and shrimp and added one piece of egg roll. Also asked for the pandan leaves milk tea to wash it all down. It wasn't very long before I got my goodies, and let me just say, it all looked good! It was also a nice surprise to get phó broth to go with the meal. The egg roll was delish on its own, even without having to wrap it in veggies, and the dip made it better. The grilled pork was tender and seasoned well. Same with the shrimp, that was cooked perfect as well. The only teenee snag is that the rice was a bit too dry for my taste. This is when the broth came in handy. And the drink, I thought, made the whole meal a better experience. FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 4. PARKING: Private lot. Located in Gardena Plaza so it's shared with plenty of businesses (a gym, Starbucks and 99c store included.) It can get busy, so give yourself a bit of wiggle time. (It shouldn't be too bad, though.) It reminds me of Vietnamese Bo kho with bánh phở. It was tasty and rich and they gave a lot of noodles. The beef was super tender. The prices are great. A regular pho here is only $11. Specialty bowls are costlier but still a great price. I also got a kids pho for eight dollars. The pandan milk tea was tasty and refreshing. They played cool music videos like Mariah Carey and Backstreet Boys. The interior is modern with a slightly industrial feel. The menu includes dishes outside of pho like rice plates and spring rolls. The food came out quickly and servers were prompt. The bean sprouts were very clean, crunchy and fresh. The bad: I ordered a kids' pho and they forgot to give me the free juice that comes with the order. My mom asked if their lemonade was made fresh with real lemons and the waiter said it wasn't. I'm unsure if the vegetable plate that accompanies the pho was small or if my satay pho wasn't supposed to go with bean sprouts and Thai basil. The vegetable pho was served with beef broth.. i was just disappointed because the vegetable pho was supposed to be served with tofu and I only got two slices of it.. Firstly, unless it's Sunday you should be going to saigon dish. Our server was extremely friendly but as soon as our pho came out I noticed a long thick black hair intertwined with the noodles. This place used to be called Soup Shop and when we went we were surprised to see that the owner and name changed. I was a little happy because Soup Shop specialized in Pho but this place has way more options - rice and vermicelli dishes are now offered here! I tried their Grilled Pork Vermicelli Dish ($13.99) - Their portion, I think, was bigger than other pho places, and they had more sauce! I was really satisfied with the portion size. Taste wise, I think it was okay - the pork had some flavor and the egg rolls were super hot. My husband got their Pho and he said that the broth wasn't as flavorful as Soup Shops, but the chunks of beef in his bowl were a lot bigger than most other pho places. We also noted that it didn't come with basil, lemon, jalapeno's, or bean sprouts. Please ask the server if you want them. For an appetizer we got their Fried Crunchy Wontons (8 pieces for $7.50), and they were good - crunchy and flavorful with a nice dipping sauce that was sweet. Service is okay - The woman who helped us went over the entire menu and explained all of their dishes to us. That's fine, but my husband got his order first, and then she came back and asked me what I ordered - even though I saw her writing it down. But my order came out pretty much right away so I think she forgot that I had ordered something as well.
