Yes, though the Pho here is pretty tasty, my major gripe is how skimpy the dishes are. I've never yet left content & felt like going next door immediately following my meal to Butter & Zeus to grab some banana pudding or a burger @ Carl's on the way back to the office... What do I usually do with the Pho is skimpy? Follow up with Banh Mi! Banh Mi here though? $7.95!!! WTF? Suckers better be made with Kurobuta Pork Loin or at least lined with gold leaf... Jeezuz... I've NEVER seen a more expensive Banh Mi, especially one that is just your standard, run-of-the-mill French Roll/Traditional filling where you could typically get 4 of these guys for the price of ONE that they charge here... In summary, pretty decent/tasty option when in a pinch (one of the closer options near my office), though guaranteed (at least for me) to still have a "rumbly in my tumbly" on the way out the door... Price of the banh mi here gets under my skin as well, though I'll NEVER buy one to see if it's actually worth the money... Came here last week and ordered the vermicelli for the first time in my life, decided I wanted something lighter. I ordered the "grilled beef" vermicelli dish thinking id get the grilled slices of beef. No, I ended up getting beef rolls with onions inside -- what the heck?? So I asked the waitress: Waitress: "oh yeah, they're not really grilled beef, even though it says grilled". Me: "okay, so what is this?" I do really like this place- the food is always really fresh, served so quickly (most pho places usually do), and I never feel like they just do bare minimum with their food. Clean broth, portions are not disappointing- it's cute how they serve good french fries with their banh mi. I am ALWAYS IMPRESSED by their papaya salad- it is always, every time super fresh like they just grated it per order and the flavor of the light fish sauce dressing and peppers, spot on. I have prob been here 25 times because it is close to home and consistently good food. I will say I went here once since covid and they didn't offer the papaya salad which I understand- limited menus during this time makes sense. Stopped in for bite to eat after my photo shoot I had nearby. I ordered the Hu Tieu Do Bien (Seafood Noodle Soup). What confused me was how similar the noodles in my Hu Tieu was to Pho noodles. Confused or not, I still finished all my food. Rundown of my meal: Broth - Very light and flavorful. Noodles - Precooked, not a fan of that. But they did the job. Meat - Not enough seafood added to my bowl. Price - Pretty decent actually. Lower than most other places we've eaten at in the area. I honestly wouldn't come here for the pho. It's good, but obviously not the best. What they do offer are the best Vietnamese egg rolls out there. But the broth was not robust enough. Also, the jalapenos they used were old and wrinkly, which makes me wonder how long they've been hanging in their back kitchen. Don't get me wrong; I love old and wrinkly peppers, but this just wasn't one of those times you'd use anything but fresh. Side note: most restaurants don't do this, but I prefer the smaller thai peppers or even serranos for this; they bring more heat and get caught up in your noodles for a surprise here and there :) read more

This place is solid. At one point, I ate here 1-2 times a week. The prices are what you would expect and the portion is good sized. IMO, this is probably the best Vietnamese Restaurant around that area. Whatever you are craving, order it and you will not be disappointed. Came here for an early dindin on a Monday after my stomache decided not to agree with me. For 4pm, the place was pretty much deserted. There were a couple to-go orders while we were waiting for our meal so I think this spot, much like the other restaurants in this tiny strip mall, does well during lunch with all the surrounding businesses but after that is pretty much deserted. The waitress came by and I believe she was sick and kept sniffing and sneezing and wiping her nose with her hand. She went back to make our drinks and didn't even wash her hands! GROSS! I don't think either of us ordered Thai Ice tea with bugars in it! Yeck! I ordered the beef pho with flank, brisket, steak, tendon, and tripe. It was pretty good but for an 'average' size, the portions seemed a bit small, comparable to the 'child' sharing bowls in other pho restaurants. The pho itself seemed a bit average. Nothing exciting or spectacular about the soup itself, in fact, I found the soup itself to be a bit lacking. The Canadian ordered the pork lemongrass vermicelli noodles with fried egg rolls. Again, for a regular size, the portions were a bit on the small side. He said it was a 'good amount' but he was hungry two hours later, which normally doesn't happen when we go eat at other pho places when he orders the same dish. Portions a bit small. Pho was just average. We decided to try this place since we live nearby. We both got a small bowl of pho (which was plenty) and shared an order of egg rolls. The egg rolls were really good! The pho was decent and satisfied my craving but nothing to write home about. The broth was tasty and especially good since it was a cold night. We didn't get any jalapenos served with the herbs and veggies, so that was a bit of a bummer since I love spicy food. We had pad tai and chicken with mint on top of rice noodles. Total meal w tax and tip for two people was $30 and we left super full. Great shrimp in the pad tai! When I was working walking distance from Pho Khang, my coworkers and I would eat here or order to-go at least twice a week, if not more. It became out go-to, default lunch spot for authentic Vietnamese food almost as good as mama's. As someone who is pretty picky about Vietnamese food, I've grown pretty fond of Pho Khang. Generally, food ordered to-go come out relatively quickly. Once in a while, we will feel like eating in. There are a lot of seats and tables, but they do get filled up rather quickly during lunch time. If you want to avoid the crowd, go at 11:30 or 2:00. If not, then sit tight and don't complain about the wait! My go-to order is the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio - Grilled Meat and Egg Rolls with Noodles. SO GOOD. The meat can sometimes be overcooked, but not often that happens. The egg rolls are always SOLID. Plenty of meat, noodles and veggies and 2 eggrolls per order. I can never finish the entire thing, no matter how hungry I am. Once in a while if I'm eating in, I'll get the pho. For someone who grew up eating pho and rarely eats pho aside from my mom's (because who else's pho is better than mom's pho?!), I'm pretty okay with eating Pho Khang's pho. The regular size is pretty filling for me, I may leave some noodles behind. The broth is clean and there's plenty of fresh veggies. If I feel that mid-day food coma coming on, I'll get a Ca Phe Sua Da - Vietnamese Iced Coffee to go to keep me awake. It's some powerful stuff! While they have raised their prices in the past year, I still feel like it's fair for the amount of food you get; I usually can't finish my noodles in one sitting. So I noticed her putting on used latex gloves and told myself she needs some training. Knowing that, my coworker bought me a $10 gift certificate as a thank you, only they don't have gift certificates. So, she paid $10 and got a takeout menu with "Paid $10 - Gift Certificate - for someone who bring this menu to get food" written on it and the employee's signature. I'm always teasing my wife about her being such a stargazer, so I tried not to act excited. I have to admit, though, I stared at him a few milliseconds longer than a man should stare at another. Pho crying out loud, what took ya so long. Finally a Vietnamese restaurant right around the corner from work so when that lunch craving comes growling around, satisfaction is not far away. Been waiting for this once Mexican spot to be turned around and hip hip hooray, that time has come. Decent enough bang-for-your-buck portions with snap fresh ingredients. The Pho has a good hearty base of broth, layered with flavors of rare beef, basil, sprouts, scallions and peppers, it makes for a very satisfying meal to ward off a cooler breezy day. I ordered a #2 (rare roundeye steak), and my eyes were definitely round once it came around: I've never seen so much oil in my noodle bowls before -- but can I even call it a bowl? The "regular" size pho was big enough to feed maybe a two-year-old. And even the large would only satiate perhaps a five-year-old. The noodles were also all globbed together in a solidified mess, and it took a while just to separate them enough to be edible. Again, is this what passes for pho? Pho is competent enough, I thought the goi cuon appetizer order was a bit on the light side (only 4 pieces/2 cut up rolls). You have to take your bill up to the counter to pay, so don't sit there forever waiting for someone to pick up your payment. I needed a quick lunch so I found this place Yelp. It wasn't too busy when I came in, but it was also around 2pm. I was immediately seated and got a menu. When I come to pho places, I always get pho. After I placed my order, the food took maybe 10minutes to arrive. Broth was good. A bit too salty but it's what you expect. The beef was not bad. It was sliced thinly and was easy to chew. The noodles were not too great. They were very clumpy. It was like they were all stuck in a ball and when it grab it with my chopsticks, they broke in half. I expected some silkier noodles that would hold its shape better. The service was ok. Seemed like it was a family owned store.
