I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

Overall, I enjoyed the pho and would definitely be interested in trying their other dishes next time.

This was very disappointing... This pho place has been my go to for atlesst 2 years .From going in evry Saturday night with my bussiness partners pho lu was always a great place with good food consistency. Today I was looking forward to getting my pho .if you like bad customer service ? Then you'll love it here , there good at it ! When I was approached by our waiter he asked what I wanted . I simply said I would like a pho tai which is what I usually get .(this is my first time seeing this waiter at this location). He then simply took our orders and left . When the food was dropped off I simply looked at my bowl of pho and instantly saw it wasn't what I usually get . I told the person that I didn't order that and he just said "no" . I grabbed the pho and put it on the side of the table making it obvious I didn't want it . When the so called "manager" came he asked me what happend . I told him this isn't pho tai and he shook his head and said "no sorry" how hard could it be to simply exchange my bowl of pho !! I then told him I'm not paying for it since I didn't even touch it . Once I went to pay I told him specifically not to charge me for the pho but to charge me with the soda which was the only thing I consumed .he said " no I charge you for that , you order that no change " I simply got mad and said "I didn't even touch the bowl " then this very nice lady came and asked what happend I explained to her and she was very polite and professional she didn't even charge me for the soda . Overall this place is good but the customer service gets really bad by the manager . He didn't act professional and didn't act accordingly to the situation . As a bussiness standpoint I will continue with the puirsut of opening up my own pho spot that will have great customer service unlike these pho places . I never gave any restaurant a bad review until this ! Just because they're around for so long doesn't mean they treat customers like they dont need them. I Literally came here cause there is no other place open around area. I spoke politely with the short hair lady in VIET to ask her for some stuffs. I asked her 3 times for my stuffs and that's cause i haven't been eating Pho since forever and i really forgot what to order. When i trued to asked everything at once she try to rush that why i have to wait for her to come back and order more which is so rude to leave when someone is still talking. Despite that I still spoke nicely with her. But she, as a staffs asked me loudly in front of everyone why didn't i try to order everything at once !!! I used to work in a very busy Pho place before, when customers asked you for cooked bean sprouts even when you already brought out the uncooked once, you HAVE TO bring it back, that's your job. Secondly Dont freaking run away when customers try to order more just because the restaurant is busy then come back to blame them for ordering too much. And i would never have any kind of disrespect to talk like that with my customers if i was her. She could have asked "Do you need anything else so i can get it for you." Work smarter not harder ! Anyway, never come back here you paid them to treat you like shit. We cant even enjoy our food after her attitude. Not worth it ! read more

me and my mom love trying different restaurants but after one visit to this place we became hooked ! ive tried pho a few times and always wondered what the hype was about i ersonally thought it was the grossest thing ever and then then pho lu which changed my opinion about this place a whole 360 me and my mom come here once a week every week to get our pho fix and we havent gotten tired of it in the last hmm year i would say ?! thats insane lol this place puts alot of meat in your pho somethimes too much that i cant finish it but i cant complain and would rather the portions be like that then dealing with inadquency ? the broth is super delicious and i use those spoons and put a bit of noodles and a small piece of meat with the juice to satisfy my palette and this sure does the trick... even with this insane heatwave were in it still hasnt deterred me from enjoying a hot bowl of pho ;) i have went to some places where they charge 10 buck for a bowl that tastes like shit so pho lu is my go to from now on with there afforable pricing along with exepctional flavor that is to die for i would recommend this place to first time goers who have not tasted pho nodles that way they dont end up like me where they wont even try it till years down the line and see what there missing out on! read more

If I could write an essay, I'd have done it. First, I came here several times a week, the service and food were quite good for me. I didn't have to wait too long. But you guys know what? Many reviews of this app didn't make sense. Wtf is this cmt: "why do I have to pay for these meatballs that were cut off". Like how tf can you eat them without cutting them off? The regular meat ball is quite big, literally bigger than man's ball 4sure:))). And then many times I have come here, I saw you guys like 5 to 6 people, keep talking and using your phone, you didn't read the menu, then you made an order for a meal that was customized by your own??? And when the server brings it up, you guys complained to them, like wtfffff bruhhh. And not done yet, Vietnamese, what do you guys want? Want to be a god of humans in America? So many of them were crazy. Frankly speaking, Vietnamese in America are so rude, dumpy-minded, and mean people. I was so ashamed to be Vietnamese. Just it. Tbh, I think you should think before making any decision, pay attention to the menu, and you should fcking stop making any reviews and nonsense complaining. Btw you should tip for your server. Solid bowls and great service at Pho Lu! This was our first time here ! Definitely coming back ! My husband and I stopped by Pho Lu in Westminster recently to satisfy our pho cravings, and it was a great experience. I ordered the shrimp pho, while my husband went for the chicken pho. Right away, I was impressed by how fresh the garnishes were--the bean sprouts, basil, and lime were crisp and vibrant, which is always a great sign. My shrimp pho was delicious; the broth was light, fragrant, and flavorful without being overly salty or heavy. The best pho ever!!! I haven't eaten at any other pho place since I've had this coz everytime I think about trying some other place, I couldn't pass on the chance to go to Pho Lu instead. They open til after midnight and for a place that opens late, this place is super clean. The interior decorations are very warm and makes you feel cozy while sipping on hot soup. I love this place most for their generous portions of lean, good quality meat and their super tasty broth! The broth is not heavy or greasy but still has all the flavors that make great pho. It just feels so light and clean in your stomach. I usually get iced coffee from here too coz it goes great with my pho. The service is good too compared to other pho restaurants. If you come to this place with friends that don't like pho or don't dare to try pho because of the different parts of beef, have them try the rice plates coz they're great! Esp. the fried chicken with fried rice is sooooo good. The chicken is so fresh and crunchy and it's non-breaded so you get all the natural flavor of the chicken. Not the best pho place. Also, Not a pleasant visit. I get there and ask for a table for two they direct me to sit and share a table with other people I don't even know. So, right away I see open tables and ask can I sit there. The guy says, no. Okay that's fine. We eventually just wait for a table. So we get a table, we order pho, as I am eating it I see a piece of hair. I stop eating. I don't make a scene, so when someone comes by, i point and say, excuse me there is a piece of hair in my food. He says hold on. He grabs some lady, maybe the owner. She looks at the hair in the food then looks at me, looks back at the food and back at me. She says this is black hair, making it seem as if it's mine.. They ask if I want a replacement I say I'm fine. By the way the lady was so rude she didn't even say, sorry! So then my friend later goes to pay the tab, they still have my pho that I didn't really touch on the tab. They kind of make it a big deal, but it gets taken off. My friend pays, walks away and one of the workers bumps hard into her and doesn't even apologize. read more

I recently visited Pho Lu, a well-known establishment that has been serving up delicious beef broths for decades. It was late at night after a long shift and I needed something to eat before heading home. Pho Lu was the only place open at that time (~1 a.m.). When I arrived, I made eye contact with the gentleman at the cashier register and asked for a table for one. Once seated, I was immediately brought water and greeted with a friendly "What would you like?" I usually order the Pho with a combination of meats, including brisket, tendons, and thinly sliced meats, all cooked in the scalding hot broth. It had been a while since I had Pho, so I also requested some sliced onions (also known as ghetto kimchi), some satay (chili oil), and some green onion oil (mo hanh) to add extra flavor to my broth. The restaurant looked exactly the same as it did back in the early 2000s, which gave it a timeless feel. The cozy atmosphere and delicious food make it a great spot to visit after a night out at the bar or to cure a hangover the next day. read more

The pho here is really good, but the service suck so bad. Me and my gf went there a few nights ago. And after it took forever for them to take our order. When finally they took our order, we asked them for water. TWO other parties that came after us good their food and water, before we even got anything!! When we finally got our food, it was good. But being in a pissy mood from early, I kinda lost my appetite. I got the pho special and my gf got the oxtail pho. They give alot here. And its good. Not salty like other places. Only problem I have with this place is the service. I couldnt even get the waiter's attention for the check, So I decided to go up to pay. Pho Lu always delivers the best pho and customer service. It's a family-owned business and fast-pace environment. Compare to other pho places, I think it's exceeded the expectation with the clean environment and legit pho tasting. No one is perfect. I'm having pho Dac Biet and it was delicious. Good enough portion for my belly. There were a lot of meat in my soup and the broth tastes like home-cooked . Can't complaint! All their drinks are unspeakable. Smoothies are fresh. Definitely recommend to family and friends who like to enjoy the traditional pho tasting, instead to those who's criticizing too much. San Diego, take notes! We need more late night pho places! There is never a bad time to enjoy a nice bowl of comforting pho. We made a pitstop here after Knotts Berry Farm, and I think everyone else and their moms had the same idea we did. First time ever in my lifetime I've had to actually wait to be seated for pho. I understood why quickly after taking my first sip of the broth. I usually get half way through my bowl before throwing in the towel, but here it was difficult to stop myself. Also their eggrolls are a must have, chewy and crunchy at the same time if that even makes sense. We just finished a long day of work and want to eat some pho for late dinner. We checked Pho Lu's business hour on yelp, it said they open until 3 am on Saturday morning so we decided to come for dinner. We live 35 miles away from Pho Lu so we drive for 30 mins to get there. When we arrive it was only 2 am, and there were people inside eating but when we tried to come in, the door was locked.... A young guy inside told us they closed, looks like they were having a employee party or something. We told him it's only 2am, they supposed to open until 3 am but the guy just left us with no explanation whatsoever. We were so disappointed. read more

Rudest owner alive! First of all she picked up my wallet and check it out when I was counting the cash for my bill one of the times I was there. And secondly, beware, she'll literally yell at you and beat you if you complain. Thank god it didn't happen to me, the lady from the table next to us complaint about something to the owner and next thing I know, five minutes later chop sticks and objects are flying around, we literally had to run for cover. Wow..... I always thought the owner was kinda unfriendly and a little resentful but I'd never have thought she's would fight a customer in her own restaurant. Unbelievable! read more

Such a novel concept. I ate noodles, beef bone broth and ox tail. I had the pleasure of meeting several "Yelpers" and Vietnamese Pho was suggested to start my venture into new foods. I am very new to Vietnamese Cuisine. My trial experience was a good one. The soup is served with bean sprouts. The coffee is very strong. I exited this establishment with a warm fuzzy feeling and quite energetic. The pho soup was interesting. My pleasure was strictly with the oxtail. The pho here is pretty good. I've had better but I've also had much much worse. What I really like to have here is the eggroll and vermicelli bowl. The eggrolls are so crispy and flavorful and the vegetables are very fresh. Portions are generous too. I also like that it is a clean pho joint. I've been to some where I'm afraid to touch anything because it's so dirty. I can't stand those types of places no matter how good the food is. But Pho Lu has nice decor and the servers are decent. If you're craving late night pho, definitely go here. Pho 54 and Pho Vinh Ky (even with their 50% pho) can't compete with the flavorful broth at Pho Lu. I usually order the pho dac biet (house special) with beef balls. Lots of meat Or their mi xao don (stir fried beef and vegetables with crispy noodles) The food usually comes out pretty quick, service is mediocre. Young servers there are quite forgetful and unobservant. The manager is nice and attentive so that makes up for it all! The food will keep me coming back, my go-to place for now! read more

Tried the pho here and was not impressed the least bit. Don't understand where the ratings came from but definitely not deserving of it. Must be a place frequented by non-Asian who don't know what real pho tastes like. It's like me going to taco bell and thinking it's not bad but my amigos think i'm nuts. Real authentic food tastes much different and better than the wannabes. This place probably falls in that category since the tastes is made to appease the tongue of those who don't really know what real food is like. 2 stars for the atmosphere. read more

Very popular spot at 12:30AM for good reason. The photo was absolutely amazing! Service was extremely fast all around sitting at our table ordering receiving our food. When we first entered we thought it was going to be slow. Eh wrong there looked like to be a lot of locals. This was a good thing. Pho: broth was great, noodles, meatballs, steak were all fresh. All veggies too A group showed up for take out, looks like it took about 15 minutes. Note to self pre order if in a rush.
