Environment: first time going and it felt spacious with the high ceiling and the tables were spread out decently. The menus were posted everywhere so take your time before you order. I think you order first before having a seat so it's kind of like fast-food style. Staff: very friendly, kind, and nice!! I went out for a bit and came back and she quickly gave me my food, even in the middle of serving someone else. I appreciate that :D Food (take out): I got the vermicelli with spring rolls and grilled pork for $15. First, the price was good as other places with two different types of toppings will be more than that! The pork was tender, flavorful and grilled for sure. The spring rollers were fried nicely and had a lovely crisp to it! The amount was very reasonable and it came with a sauce to pour over. Overall, I enjoyed it and was happy it was good, both for the price and portion!

very welcoming, great service and family friendly place came here for their vietnamese food however saw their thai specialties and wow did not regret trying! Their chef specializes in thai wok noodle dishes too and I have been on a journey searching for the best drunken noodle aka pad kee mao in Portland/Beaverton/Tigard areas. This place came close to clutch as my top 3 across SE Portland Chai Thai cuisine and another local thai restaurant in Lakes Owesgo. Those two places had chefs from Thailand so the cooking recipes were very similar. This vietnamese places of pad kee mao was so similar even though chefs are vietnameses, they got that wok fire cooking style. Every piece of wide/fat rice noodle is coated evenly with sauce and no one piece than the other is too soggy or too al dante, just perfect. We ordered it with beef and all veggies cookies which was deliciousssssss. 10/10 recommend when you're in the area and craving for drunken noodle. I just was not able to scout them initially as their menu doesn't call it drunken noodle, they call it "wide noodle stirfry". we asked to confirm with chef that it's pad kee mao and it's $15 with beef. Very well priced when when most local thai places are more $. also got crispy egg rolls as appetizers 4 pieces for $9 Also order a rice dish with fried egg and lemon grass pork, which was a little subpar since the pork was cold and not room temp, it was already charred and grilled so perhaps just served with hot rice and fried egg. $18 pot of hot tea for $2 Nonetheless we emptied our plates

Pho Nam is located conveniently in Progress Ridge, with both inside and outside seating. The pho bowls and vermicelli bowls are tasty, sometimes the portions feel slightly smaller than other pho places but nonetheless, a solid go-to if in the Beaverton Murray-Scholls vicinity.

Not enough meat. More salad and rice and less protein. Cheap!

Our first visit here back in May was pretty good. The food portions of our rice noodles dish was generous and service friendly. I recently ordered to-go the same dish. While the dry rice noodles dish we ordered months ago seemed consistent, it's their rice plate that was sorely lacking. The scoop of rice was much larger than the 3 pieces or so meat and few shrimp they added with the dish. I get more for the same price back at the Bay Area. They seemed to pack more rice and salad and a small portion of protein (see photo for yourself). I was clearly disappointed. Also their menu is so old and outdated. It was confusing trying to find the latest menu which I needed so that I can tell the girl what I wanted to order. When I went in to pick up my order, I asked the girl if they had a latest to-go menu so that I could actually take a photo of their selections and post it here in Yelp, the girl just directed me to their Facebook page? That was truly a headscratcher. How many people use Facebook to get information on places to eat? That's why we have Yelp for that right? So disappointed. Even though it's 1.5 miles from my place, I will be looking somewhere else for pho and Vietnamese food.

Am I being snobby to want every bite to contain shrimp?

I haven't had their pho but I've had their salad rolls on separate occasions and feel I can make an accurate assessment. If theirs one thing I hate it's being ripped off and when places do so callously. I got the pork and shrimp salad roll. The roll contained a single tiny shrimp not even positioned to be consumed in multiple bites. The inside was vermicelli and lettuce. No herbs. One time I was at a crappy Asian buffet and they had something similar. A buffet is no biggie. I get the essence of salad roll and move on. Being charged full price for this is a different story. Though I haven't tried the pho based on the price and effort they put in the salad rolls I think I'll stay away.

I liked the food! I couldn't decide what to order at first so the woman working recommended a bun bowl. I tried it with chicken that was marinated and grilled on top of rice noodles and salad for the side. The chicken had great flavor! Looking forward to trying the Pho, Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches and bubble tea. I'll be back. read more

Average........barely...2.5 stars, but feeling generous since the adult owners were very friendly. We dined in. Ordered starter of wantons. They were literally dripping in grease.....pouring out! Remedied with several napkins. The flavor of the pork was good, but poorly executed. Drain, drain, drain the oil. To top it off, the sweet and sour sauce served was 2 take out plastic sachets (that you get at a drive-through) on the same plate...TACKY. Understand if we had take out, but how many others touched the help yourself s/s sauce that was sitting on our plate with the food? For the record, I am not a germaphobe...just expected sauce in a bowl like the peanut sauce with salad rolls since we were dining in. Bun bowl was lacking. 2 tiny shrimp and a few morsels of pork. Barely any fish sauce, so it was dry. The pork had great lemongrass flavor, but it was a poor cut (gristle). The veggies were fresh. Over priced at $8.50 for a few bites of meat, noodles and veges. Eye of round and brisket pho was pretty good. Not the best broth, but it was decent. Portions were medium compared to other pho houses of the same pricing. The place was clean, cafeteria style, open kitchen. No booze here, but plenty of Viet beverages. The adult owners a man and woman were very friendly. I'd go back if needing a pho fix and in the area. Salad rolls looked very good (fresh pork and shrimp) so I'd try those next time. Plenty of other Viet/pho places around with better food and pricing. read more

The summer rolls are mediocre and the pho is about the same. I'm not the biggest fan of having celery being in my rolls however the tofu was sliced thin and fit well. After reading the reviews I was really excited to try the pho and my heart was broken. The pho had to much cabbage and not enough veggies. The pho had a limited amount of noodles. I won't stopping by here again. The staff was very friendly. read more

Tried to come in at 6:20 on a Sunday. A mean, grumpy little lady approached us at the door and said "here or to go?" we said "for here" and she said "NO" and turned her back and walked away. Their hours posted online say they are open til 9pm. No idea why she was so mean or rude but we will never go back there except to maybe go ask her what her deal was. read more

Possibly the worst salad rolls I have ever had, too much vermicelli, a huge hunk of iceberg lettuce and a weird piece of flavorless shaved pork. Peanut sauce average which is the only reason for 3 stars. Specifically asked if there were napkins in the bag...told yes...no napkins. read more

Food was a disappointment. We were looking forward to tasting some delicious food but didn't meet expectations. The chicken was hard, cold, and looked like rubber. The rice was cold and stiff and the egg rolls were also cold and hard. Surprised because the reviews made it seem like it was a good place to eat at. One of our favorite go to's for pho take out. I usually order the chicken pho and it is so good! They include the toppings in the to-go pack and it's really convenient. The service isnt the greatest, but the food makes up for it. read more

I ordered Thai yellow curry, mild. That is not what I received. I order yellow curry because it is actually very soothing and anti-inflammatory, unlike the toxic bucket of hell fire I was served. Other notes: the Thai iced tea was pre-packaged and the sweet and sour sauce was brought to our table in packet form. read more

We've only tried the curry dishes so far, but omg! I love the curry here! My favorite is the yellow curry, it's so tasty. They have a good range of spice levels too. I usually get mine with chicken. Great customer service, they are so sweet. We will keep coming back for sure! read more

Salad rolls were terrible. I ordered shrimp and pork and I stopped ordering after that. Salad rolls are supposed to be refreshing- the ingredients tasted wilted, old, and flavorless. The meat was dry, it was tough to chew. I'm so glad I didn't order my entrée with my appetizer. I won't be coming back here. read more

2nd time here. Felt about the same regarding my experience as last time. Food is okay, but not great. Ordered #21 to go...grilled chicken with vermicelli noodles, an egg roll and salad. Disappointed in the low quality meat that is used. Egg roll just tastes like the deep fried wrapper. Food looks delicious but then is kind of Ehh. Service was friendly and the restaurant looked nice and clean. I will probably go once more to try the pho since it is close to home. read more

Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere. If you are in hillsboro, go to vivi's vietnamese noodle house. In beaverton, go to pho king good or in pdx, pho hung off of 82nd, Rose VL Deli. Ive eaten a lot of phos in my days but my holy molly, their pho was the worst i ve ever had. I added some fish sauce, siracha to give it a more favor and it was still a lacklaster disappointment. read more

Excellent food at an okay price. Get the pho. Seriously, the best broth I've had...wonderful flavor. I got #13 (beef pho), my friend got #7 (shrimp & veggie pho) and my hubby got #30 (noodles with chicken). All were excellent. Tip: if you like heat, skip the little jars of chili (smoky, not hot) and go for the squeeze bottles. Much better heat and some vinegar for bite. read more

Ate here the other day. Flavors were delicious. Service was good. Clean inside. My only complaint was my pho noodle soup was over priced for how small the bowl was. I'm used to my pho soup bowl being filled to the brim. If you are in the neighborhood and hungry for pho, this place is worth a nibble. read more

I saw this place as I was driving by as I really liked the idea of soup on a cold night. It was definitely a great choice! The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the chicken pho soup and taro bubble tea. The soup was a healthy portion and it came with all the expected goodies on the side to put in your soup. The food tasted great and I will definitely be returning. When I was ready to leave, a nice woman offered to help me with "boxing" up the rest of my soup, which is great because I would have probably made a mess lol I look forward to coming back and trying out a different dish next time read more

I have never had Vietnamese food before and am extremely allergic to fish... lol why go right? Well my wonderful boyfriend will eat anything and has been missing good authentic Vietnamese food. He has traveled the world and loves asian food, but he is stuck with a girl that can't eat anything. He convinced me to try this cute little place and I did. First, I want to say that the owners are very sweet and hard working. The food was great. I obviously ate the chicken soup. The lady made sure that there wasn't any cross contamination. Thank you. I was not sure what to expect so I didn't have any expectations. We really enjoyed our time and received excellent service. Oh and my boyfriend enjoyed every bite. He said it was excellent and he can't wait to go back. read more

We got lucky and pulled into the last open spot. There were a good amount of people inside but we were seated right away. They have a little shop area in the front that was super cute too. Their menu is pretty large but in the best way. There's literally something for everyone from spring rolls to pho to banh mi. My friend and I each got our own DIY spring roll set and I got a cup of beef pho broth with an order of rice noodles to make a mini bowl of pho for myself on the side. The spring roll set comes with 4 sheets of rice paper, fresh veggies (lettuce, basil, cucumber, pickled carrots), rice noodles, your choice of protein (we chose pork sausage), and dipping sauce. The pho broth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The spring rolls came out amazing and were so filling. My only suggestion would be to have the carrots shredded instead of sliced to get a more even distribution within the spring rolls. But overall it was a fantastic meal. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

No. Just don't. Pho was ...severely disappointing. Spring rolls were burnt...charred. not even close to being edible. Mentioned at checkout...they just said .."so you don't want your spring rolls?". They were not edible. No apologies. Acted like we were weird. Meat in Pho was tough, difficult to chew...that's not what pho is supposed to be. Empty water glasses during entire meal. Certain tables were visited...ours was not. We have had upset stomachs all night. Server was apparently having a good time, full of smiles...seemed hi as a kite...no problem with that if you can still pay attention to your job....or give a shi% about what is going on. Whole experience was just wrong. We will def not go back! We love Pho...have had it at may places...this was worth mentioning... don't waste our time. read more

I come here and get my chicken pho, it's consistent and family-run and my wallet has a soft spot for those things. Maybe it's not the slickest joint around but they are fast and clean and friendly, and that's a lot more than can be said for most businesses these days. I've tried other things on the menu and the chicken pho is definitely a good choice. On a rainy day, coming here for some hot soup, and then finishing off with a donut and coffee from Blue Star next door can fix pretty much anything. Thank you Pho Nam! read more
