    Vietnamese Egg Roll
    Shelley F.

I was running errands in the area and decided to stop here for lunch. The egg rolls here are PHENOMENAL! I've only been to one other Vietnamese restaurant that served egg rolls just as good, but their prices were higher. I could tell they were freshly fried as steam was still escaping after each bite. The inside filling was tender and very flavorful. The pho was good but lacking somewhat in flavor. Banh mi was solid but not the best I've had.

The chicken pad Thai that was supposed to be shrimp

Food was delicious but customer service is way below . First time customer- I pass by here on my way to work so it's really convenient to drop in and pick up my food. They messed up my order and gave me chicken instead of the shrimp I had ordered. I was already at work so I couldn't come back - so I called and told them their mistake. The guy on the phone was nice and said I could just come the next day. When I did- an older lady seemed annoyed that I was there and I even ordered more food. Then she said I was going to come back and complain about not having the eggroll that I said I didn't want. Wth? She doesn't know who I'm feeding. She gave me a bad vibe. So too bad- I'm not giving them my business. Like it's my fault they made a mistake.

I stopped in for a quick lunch and decided to get the shrimp pad tai. I usually get beef pad tai for a baseline first meal in a first time establishment visit but decided to add some variety. Actually I've visited this restaurant in the past for the Pho bowl but it has been more than a year or two. If I'm being nice my waitress was very quick and attentive but the shrimp was so over cooked it had a metal aftertaste. Since it was the "meat" on my entree...down the hatch anyway! While I also don't care for large flat noodles in my Pad Tai (it's eye preference and a little easier w/ chopsticks) the rest of the dish was quite tasty. Next time I'll get beef... The restaurant is a simple setup and fairly busy at lunchtime. I know the rest of varied menu is decent from the past so I'll be back- eventually.

Food was always great here but found a roach in the shrimp spring rolls. Will not be returning.

    Basil Beef Flat Noodle

Basil Beef Flat Noodle is the bomb, so so so good and taste so authentic. Even though it's from a Vietnamese restaurant! Got it through Postmates on a random night craving Pad Khe Maw.

Food was pretty good. The service was terrible. Was in the mood for some pho and found this place, their website says open until 10pm. I got there about 8:55 and ordered my food, was asked if it was for here or to go, I said for here. The lady gave me a dirty look which seemed strange. The food came out pretty quick. I ordered a water to drink and ran out. Server was about 15ft away just staring at me, never asked if I needed anything. I got up and got my own water. At about 9:20pm, the server who at this point hasn't said 2 words to me walks up and asks me to hurry up. I was in disbelief. I said excuse me, why would I need to hurry up. Then she said we close at 9pm and usually leave by 9:30pm. I said well I didn't know, your website says 10pm and I showed her. They then started saying something about Covid. We'll update your website or don't give someone the option to eat in if they walk in 5 minutes before you "close." By the way this is the first time I have did one of these reviews. I was just in awww and don't want anyone else to have this bad experience as I did.

    Beef pho. The real deal.

True to their word, my friends (and colleagues) took me out for a redemptive pho experience. We headed slightly east of downtown to a local-to-DFW chain, Pho Que Huong. The restaurant felt like a family-owned joint, simple and basic. We started with spring rolls. They were delicious! I would come back just to have these for lunch. Two sauces came on the side - a chile sauce and a peanut sauce. I tried them both then opted to dunk in sriracha. Yum. I tried a beef pho again, but this time with no egg. This one looked vastly different than my bowl from Dalat. The broth was flavorful and even more so when I added some spice powder. The pho came with a plate of add-ons - jalapeno slices, bean sprouts and basil. Add what you like. How perfect is that? Verdict after Pho #2? I see why people like it. Prepared properly, it's tasty and satisfying. And not at all salty. Pho Que Huong is on my must-go-to-again list!

Beef and brisket noodle soup is delicious. As good as pho can get in my opinion. Vietnamese rolls were also delicious! A must try

Everything had a very authentic, homemade feel, and it was nice to find a place that offers so many Huế-style and Central Vietnamese specialties. The small dishes were especially fun to share, and the sugar cane juice was a refreshing addition to the meal. Overall, Goc Hue is a great spot if you enjoy Vietnamese food and want something beyond the usual pho or banh mi options. We would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Out of those six orders, 5 were absolutely delicious and I will be reordering those five each time. The sixth was still really great, but not my thing. The service is very good here and they are super friendly. The only bad thing is how small the place is so if youre there during full house you will have to wait. Although it's small, I wouldn't want it to change if it affects quality. So this place is dang near perfect to me. Prices are great as well. I would highly recommend making a trip out to this place. I'll definitely be back.

They hang Vietnamese artifacts everywhere from snacks to comic books to stickers, and the walls are covered with pictures of their extensive menu. It took us a while to decide on just two items but we will definitely be back. One thing to note is that they do not have a tip option when paying with a credit card since it is self service, so bring cash to tip. They also have self service iced tea which is a nice touch. Rice Cracker With Vegetable and Caramelized Sauce / Com Chay Kho Quet Rau Luoc ($17.50): Wow, finally a place that has this and does it right. The rice crackers were crispy but not hard and the kho quet was umami and had a nice spicy kick. The rice crackers and vegetables paired perfectly with the sauce. This is the best kho quet I have ever had and it made my husband's top 3, which is saying a lot since he grew up in Vietnam. Combination Sticky Rice / Xoi Man ($12.50): I loved the flavor combinations, especially the pate with the rice. I would have liked the rice to be a bit stickier since there were a few harder chunks, but I just ate those with the kho quet sauce and it was fine. You also get a generous amount of protein, especially the hard boiled egg slices. We were completely full after just these two dishes. Longan Coconut Water / Nuoc Dua Nhan Nhuc ($7.75): Unfortunately we did not like this drink. The flavors just were not right for us.

The setting is one of its biggest highlights--surrounded by greenery while still being conveniently located near major roads. There's plenty of free parking, making it an easy stop. The customer service was excellent, with friendly and welcoming staff who made the visit enjoyable. The food was good and tasted very fresh, although I was expecting a little more depth of flavor. Since I don't enjoy spicy food, it's possible that much of the boldness comes from the heat, so others may have a different experience.

All of y'all are tripping. This place is terrible. I don't know why the reviews are so good…read more I came in around 6pm with my family. The place was totally dead but there were still dirty tables no one even bothered to clean. Like another reviewer said, the staff blared Tejano music. I mean, whatever, Vietnamese food isn't that tricky to make. My husband ordered pho that didn't taste like pho. I got a pork rice bowl that legit had meat with hair and cartilage (I think it was ear, maybe snout?). I mean, I'm Pinay, I love sisig but for a $14 rice bowl, you think it would have better quality meat rather than ear! My kid had a tiny $8 quesadilla. We had two coconut Viet coffees. The flavor and texture were "off;" the Keurig coffee I make at home is thicker. Our meal was over $50 before tip. Idk how this place has been surviving or where all these reviews came in from, but damn, stop lying y'all.
