Pretty good but not as good as the one in Lacey. I won't say that I am a pho genius, but this pho was average, which is kind of unexpected for it's general location. I would have got a bubble tea like I normally do but the pho kinda set me off. It is really hard to find a good pho place. Decided to try this place out today with a friend who had recommended it. It was very empty and quiet and at first the service seemed alright. Their service was quick but the broth was so flavorless I felt like I was eating a bowl full of water. It was plain and the meat was very dry. On top of that, my friend found hair in his food. We weren't looking for a refund, or new food, we just wanted to let the staff know. However, when my friend told our server about the hair as she rang us up, the lady didn't say ANYTHING. she just smiled and ignored us. My friend repeated himself about the hair a few more times and she didn't say anything. She only told us our total. And on top of that, she practically insulted us because we asked for the bill to be split. If I could it this place a 0, I would! Do not eat here. Trying to dine with my family on a slow Thursday night. We were a pretty large group but given that it was slow Thursday night and only 3 other tables were occupied, it was SLOW. After being seated for a few minutes, the older woman, maybe the owner's mom, came to take our order. We were still getting settled in and ordered appetizers, 2 orders of spring rolls. She looked puzzled, so I clarified, 2 orders, 4 spring rolls total. Apparently, this made her upset because when she came back with only 1 order, instead of placing the order down like any other person, she just tossed it on top of the menu and the peanut sauce spilled on the table and she walked away. I got up and told her she needed to come back and clean the mess she made and left with my family because I wasn't going to give them a dime. Don't waste your money eating here. I gave this place a try on my last trip to Seattle, and I'm glad I did. The prices are very affordable and the food was spectacular. I had the chicken katsu and my friend tried the pho. Both were amazing. I thought the portion size was pretty generous as well -- much bigger than other pho restaurants I've been to in recent years. maybe it's just me, but this is the second pho place i've been to and they got the noodles exactly how i like them! thin and chewy :) i had the small chicken pho and it was just to my liking. the chicken pieces were majority white meat and the broth was really flavorful. there's really nothing else i can say except that it was good. nothing really outstanding and nothing really horrible (which is why i gave it three stars). the service is pretty good and the place seems pretty clean. parking should be no problem as there's a big lot right outside. and if you're craving pho after you finish shopping at southcenter, it's right around the corner. read more

Just ordered the large #2 (steak and brisket pho) and two #28s (fried egg rolls), and all were well sized for the price. I spent $13 for some feel good food and hopefully the tasty broth helps me shake the cold I feel coming on. I would recommend the pho for its large size and rich flavor, but I'm not sure I would get the egg rolls again. They weren't anything special and the dipping sauce wasn't as strong as I'm used to for egg rolls. I'll be back to try the boba! read more

This is not bad for Vietnamese food, especially when the other restaurants are way too crowded and you're hungry. I had the vermicelli bowl and I wish they had more variety in options for the type of items to go on top, though I'm sure you could customize it but have to pay more. They put way too many bean sprouts in in though so that was kind of a downer. I also wanted to order their durian shake but of course they said they didn' have any. I've had their pho there before and it was decent. I did enjoy their beef carrot stew dish especially with the french baguette I picked to eat it with. I would go back here if it is convenient but this isn't my first pick for Vietnamese food. read more

Far from the best, but it's alright considering the location next the mall and all of it's fellow "meh" pho local competitors. I legitimately felt ignored the entire time. And even felt like I was a burden when I asked for a desert menu. I asked for a recommendation and she just pointed at the fridge at the front of the restaurant. What a joke! Pho is one of my comfort foods so needless to say I come here often. The pho always comes hot, flavorful and satisfying. I don't know how or why I haven't reviewed it in the past, but tonight is the night. Its's 9:53 pm, I feel like crap and the only thing that sounds appetizing is that delicious bone broth goodness. But wait, they close in 5 minutes - ughhhh! I call down and not only do they take my order, but they wait for me to get down there to pick it up. Pho broth was below average. Noodles had distinct ammonia taste - like a wet rag. My friend ordered the chicken fried rice, and halfway through her meal, she found a little black curly hair - I can only guess where that came from. We completely lost our appetites so went up to pay and told the waitress. She just said "sorry" and still made my friend pay for her meal. They were willing to make a new plate for her, but did not offer a refund. We could not stomach getting another plate, so we paid and left. We will not be visiting there again. read more

My wife and I come here because it's never really crowded. The food comes out pretty quick. Pho is hit and miss though. Some days it tastes better than other days. The whole experience was mediocre. To start off me and my friends sat down, got our menus, ordered. Very typical Vietnamese service but after it went all down hill from there. We Ordered A Pho Tai (Steak) with a side of Hanh Yum(Onion Vinegar), Chicken Teriyaki with extra chicken, and Chicken Katsu with a side of Bun(Vermicelli). When the food came out we got our main entrees but none of the sides that we ordered. after asking three different times we got our sides. Now to get to the food, the Pho Tai was pretty standard nothing to special but the Hanh Yum on the side had NO vinegar at all so it was pretty plain. The chicken katsu presentation was horrible, the side of bun was badly made(Too Sticky), but tasted surprisingly OK. Last but not least the chicken teriyaki, the food was actually tasted pretty good, the only problem I had was at the end of the meal when I put my plates all together so cleaning up would be easier for the staff, my friends noticed the ridiculous amount of oil they used for the teriyaki sauce. That was such a disappointment. Overall if your looking for a bite to eat then don't be surprised by the bad service and Alright food. If that doesn't bother you then this MIGHT be your place, but I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Customer service is great. The food was just the frosting on the cake. Definitely would recommend coming here if you're in the area. A nice hot steaming bowl of pho in a rainy day really makes a big difference on how you feel for the rest of the day and these people can take care of you really well. I came to this restaurant for the first time, expecting it to be just another homey-type pho place. But right once my group and I entered, the waitress that helped us was very impolite. She talked very brashly with us while taking our order. When the order did come, she set the food out with little to no care. Making us, the customers, to place the food out for each other. The food was bland and one of my friends didn't even want to finish his pho because it was so tasteless, (even after adding sauce to it.) To make it worse, the lemon that was brought out with the pho was shriveled up and old. We asked for a fresh one but it never arrived. After finishing up with what was left of the food, we asked for a to go box and some peanut sauce for the left over spring roll we had. Shockingly, the waitress said she was too busy and that we would have to wait 15 minutes for just one measly peanut sauce. We looked around the restaurant and it wasn't even close to being packed. I'll never come here again, thanks to the terrible service and bland food. My friends and I will take our money else where. read more

I've had better Bun. The chicken was grilled ( yeah), but it was grilled on a dirty grill with many days of grilling meat. The chicken had black grilled leftover chunks coating the freshly cooked chicken. It gave it a very dirty, burnt charcoal taste ( nasty). I used my fish sauce dip to try & wash the black bits off the chicken. It helped a little. Mushy egg roll, no tea serviced to me, but serviced to other tables upon arrival. My boyfriend and I are frequent customers! We've pretty much tried most of the things on their menu but our favorite is the BBQ spare ribs rice plate. It comes with rice, ribs (obviously), salad, broth, over easy egg, and shredded pork all for about nine to ten dollars! I think they recently changed their menu because the last few times we ordered it, they didn't include the egg and shredded pork :( We went there yesterday though and requested to have everything on the plate. They were able to do it, so that's a good thing! The dressing that goes with the salad is to die for! I always ask for extra so that I can dip some of my BBQ in it. LOL. My boyfriend and I come here way too much that most of the staff know who we are and always make some light conversation with us. I know some people have stated that they think the customer service sucks but whenever I go there, I really have nothing to complain about! Another thing that we love about this place is their mango bubble tea and tapioca. Their tapioca is cooked just right and it isn't hard to chew like some places that serve it. I used to work in a bubble tea place and we made tapioca all the time, so I'm pretty familiar when it gets overcooked or under cooked. This is average Pho...and to be honest, giving it three stars is SLIGHTLY (very slightly) above what I would like to give them. First of all, the service is very friendly here. And I used to think the pho here was great when I first found this place several years ago. However, since that time, I have had lots of pho in lots of places around the world, so I can assure you that this pho is only average. My last order was a flank steak and tripe pho. While there was a decent amount of tripe (which was also tender and quite good), the beef really lacked...only a few pieces, and it had no flavor at all. The broth is decent - not overly salty, but also lacking in flavor just like the beef. The extras (bean sprouts, basil, etc.) come in a huge quantity and taste fresh and flavorful...best part of the whole pho dish? Prices are dirt cheap for the quantity you get...but they should be when most of the contents are filler and not protein. read more

I've been coming here on and off for 5 years, and food is always good, service is what you would expect from a pho restaurant. We came on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was almost full. Probably a handful of open tables left. For the most part, it's self seating, or if you're uncomfortable self seating, just stand there and they will tell you to have a seat. Menus were brought over promptly, followed by water. You have about 2 minutes to look over the menu before the waitress came back and asked if we're ready to order. Just a FYI, this is VERY typical, you go have pho to be in and out, don't expect 5 star service. I glanced over the menu and was glad to see they still have the crunchy & fatty brisket on the menu!! Not a lot of places have this! They also have a kids menu that includes a kid sized beef pho or a chicken teriyaki dish plush a soda for under $6. Food is good, noodles are perfectly cooked, not too soft & powdery or way too chewy. Broth was a little saltier than usual today, but by most people's standards, this just means lightly salted. It wasn't so much sweet as it was salty. Eggrolls are good sized, but spring rolls are a bit on the smaller side. I could probably finish in 4 bites. They also sell them by per piece, not order. My son and I left with our tummies warm & happy! Our check came to $22 after tax & tip for one small bowl, one kids bowl, 2 spring roll & 1 eggroll. Not too bad. I get that some days are not your best days as a server but being rude doesn't really help time pass by. I've been a server and I've always just faked it til I made it. I have so much respect for people in the food industry but you shouldn't be rude the minute you greet us..actually he didn't even greet us. But I understand being rude after the customer gives you a hard time first. Our server looked really annoyed when we walked in. There was only 1 table of 4 in the place until we walked in. Like how hard is your job when you basically serve pho that takes less than 5min to prepare... when we were ready I basically had to stare at him til he walked over because he was busy not realizing we had our menus down ready to order. Then he just stood there so I began to just order. Basic brisket pho for all 3 of us. I said thank you after every time he came to our table and we got nothing. Just a blank face no eye contact nothing. My nephew went over to talk to the guy and said thank you but he just rolled his eyes and walked away. Yikes. I don't like kids either but come on. Pho = OK price OK quality, but small portions Setting = Typical plain setting for Pho restaurant Vietnamese Sandwiches = I use to like them a lot, but on my last take out order I found a curly lil hair. Disgusting. I know it's impossible to prevent a hair getting in the food 100% of the time, and all restaurants eventually/accidentally do that, but it's still disgusting. I'd rate Pho Tai 3 stars if it wasn't for the hair in the food. I'll probably check out What the Pho down the street in the future. read more

I come here pretty often. I like that it's not in the Eastside so prices don't have that special mark up. For a party of two, a couple of bowls of pho will run you about $16 - $17 after tax. I'm a little surprised by the complaints about poor service. I've had no major complaints but I think I may know who others reviewers are complaining about. I had the "good fortune" of getting one of those evil eyes when I asked for water for the table. However, for as many times as I have dined here, that was a really minor blip. The owner is very friendly. She always smiles and says hi to us, and asks us how we are doing. The pho here is yummmm. A large bowl is just about $8 and you get a hefty serving of both noodles and meat. The broth is also really, really, ridiculously flavorful. Sometimes I feel bad drinking a lot because I know they dropped a sodium bomb in it. But it's soooooo good. EDIT 10/6/15: After having been to a couple of pho spots in Bellevue, I have to say that I am becoming more disappointed with the amount of meat you get here. If I really think about it, the reason I stick with a meatball pho here is because it's the most filling. I can be satisfied with a steak and brisket pho in Bellevue but I wouldn't order that at Pho Tai because the meat to noodle ratio is not even, and it's not close. The pork banh mi is delicious here. The first time my brother-in-law tried it, he was floored. About half way through the sandwich he said, "This sandwich is awesome. I'm so happy right now." Haha you had to be there! This is my second time visiting this pho restaurant. The first time I came with my mom. It was her first time. There is one lady that works here that is a little older than the rest of the workers. She seems like an owner maybe. But she seems like she has a great interest in making sure her customers are taken care of. She was so accommodating to my mom. She even listened in to our conversation and brought us extra sauce that my mom commented that she enjoyed. In addition, they r very quick and reasonably priced.
